Why did people think telling our rather strict father that we are hallucinating things was a good idea?

Really, only IC thing.

If it had been counted (which it wasn't, I double checked) they would have tied anyway with it's removal, and then it would have been the tie breaker.

Good eye though.
Most of the piece is in third person, but switches to second at recess.

[X] Just wait for your Father, you've got a lot on your mind right now. (Gather your thoughts)
-[X] Try to puzzle out the words over people's heads you have seen so far.
[X] "Ano... Father," you begin, your fingers instinctively tapping against each other as you grow more nervous, "can I have a friend over(? I don't have any homework today./to work on our homework together?)" you finish with your heart pounding, praying that he might say yes,
-[X] (If he says yes without asking who, or yes after asking who) You rush over to Naruto, heart throbbing, but determination growing. He notices you walking over to him and his eyes begin to light up. "Ano... Naruto-kun, would you like to come over to my house today (to play?/to study together?)"
-[X] (If he asks who) "I... I want to bring Uzumaki-san over tonight, if that is alright with you, father."
-[X] (if he says no, with or without asking who.) "Oh, okay..." you say dejectedly, and the rest of your return home passes in silence.

[The Sacrificial Vessel that Saved Konoha]
Hoo boy, that's going to be an interesting talk at some point...

[X] Try talking to the girls (Ino, Sakura)
Let's see if we can be a bit more social. Being a wallflower isn't going to do us any good, after all. Ino'll probably be sympathetic to our heiress status, which might help get the conversation started. Plus, we're a herbalist, and Ino likes flowers. Sakura too, maybe (I can't remember what her view on flowers is). That's a common point of interest. Let's just avoid saying that we've started seeing names and titles above everyone's heads, ok? No need to make ourselves look crazy.

[X] Remain Silent
Assuming this means in regards to Hiashi. Either he knows about The Abyss, or he thinks we were spouting nonsense in an attempt to get his attention. If the former, he'll probably suspect something is up and approach us, but the latter is more likely and not going to get us anywhere by trying to continue the subject without tangible proof. And the only thing we have in-character at the moment to that effect would be mentioning Naruto's title. I'm not sure what Hiashi'll do if we start asking about Naruto's title as a sacrificial vessel, but a 10 year-old girl suddenly knowing details relating to s-class secrets is going to get a lot of attention. And probably not the good kind. I don't really want Inoichi to start looking through our head. So, I think it's best to see if Hiashi gives any hint of knowing about The Abyss before we start talking to him, or at least when we have a tangible ability directly related to being a Gamer, e.g. figuring out our Inventory.

[x] Observe the Boys (Naruto, Sasuke, Kiba)

[x] Tell what you saw about Kiba and Iruka. Pretend you saw only ??? on Naruto.

What IC reason would Hinata have to lie about Naruto? Rather, telling Hiashi about what we should not know might make him believe us.

[X] Go check out the mixed group (Chouji, Shikamaru, Shino)
We probably know nothing about video games. Give Shikamaru a puzzle to solve, let him game our system.

[X] Tell what you saw about other people, especially Naruto.

-[X] Ask him if this has happened before.

Seems simple enough. Hiashi already knows that we're seeing titles. Not sharing goes counter to the last vote.

Actually, for all we know, he might think we were just trying to play a game. He hasn't said anything that relates to The Abyss, nor have we been given any information to suggest that the Hyuuga's are a part of it anyway. For all intents and purposes, without any more information, we simply said something weird to Hiashi. Possibly making him worry for our mental health. It's not like we have any actual proof at the moment.

We know who this guy is.

Did her father just ignore his very shy daughter actually speaking out about something rather odd? The very same daughter that would almost never speak without being prompted, this thus making it important?

If he does know about it surely he would have told her to keep it secret or something?

There must be some part of the power that wont let others realize its existence.

To those speculating that Hiashi might know about the Abyss and be keeping silent about it, as far as I'm aware the Abyss is simply part of The Gamer manwha's setting (people wielding powers secretly alongside society), and not anything to do with the power itself (experiencing life as if it were a game). I wouldn't assume it exists here.

Oh, honestly. Stop fear mongering. We've already made the choice to be open about it with our father, and we have no way of knowing the vast majority of what the titles mean. He's a much more experienced ninja and is privy to clan secrets. For all we know, this could be a natural but unspoken of part of the Byakugan.

Or, you know, he's going "'Well, shit. Better act like everything is under control until it really is under control. Alright, Hiashi, act cool.' ...I see. 'Nailed it.'"

Alternatively, he didn't want to accuse his daughter of being absolutely crazy and had no idea what to say.

Cause, you know, she is literally seeing stuff that no one else can see, and he has the ability to she through illusions and see the truth of the world. Plus, it's not like she saw anything that she didn't already know to make him think otherwise.

So, yeah, he basically just nodded his head and didn't say much cause he didn't think it was a good idea to tell his daughter that she's probably lost it, and is now busy freaking out and trying to figure out what to do.

[X] Try talking to the girls (Ino, Sakura)

Befriending Ino and Sakura early, before Sasuke makes them take a turn for the worse, will benefit Hinata greatly. Ino was able to do wonders for Sakura's character, turning her from being a crybaby with low self-esteem to what we saw at the beginning of canon. Sakura's intelligence and chakra control will also be a great help while studying at the academy. And maybe Hinata can help them stay on good terms when Sasuke enters the picture, which would help the other two.

[X] When we're alone with Hiashi, tell him about the words over Iruka and the Hokage.

Most gamer fics/quests have the character hiding the power from everyone and struggling to figure things and get resources on their own. Since we have already told him, let's try and get him on our side to figure out and develope this strange ability, and help us hide it if necessary.

[X] When we're alone with Hiashi, tell him about the words over Iruka and the Hokage.
Wouldn't those be the few titles we'd either be expected to know (in the case of the Hokage), or ones that we could very easily infer (in the case of Iruka)?

I agree with your reasoning about having him help, but using the rookie nine's titles would serve as a better example, seeing as how we didn't know them from before, nor do we have an easy, conventional, way of learning some of that information.

Following, loving it, kinda sad we didn't go archer, (By which I mean bow guy, not blade works guy), will start voting once I catch up on things.

As a Non-Medic, you could learn Basic Medical Jutsu.

As a Non-Monk, You'll still have a basic grasp of Jyuuken (Hyuuga teach it to all family members, after all.)

As a Non-Archer, you could pick up a bow.

The difference is in the high end.

A non-Medic won't come within sight distance of Tsunade, PostTime-skip!Sakura or Shizune.

A non-Monk can't get something like Canon Hinata's Lionsfist technique.

A non-Archer isn't going to weave an arrow in-around-through rough terrain to hit something that's never even seen her.
thank you for clarifying, this is great, exactly how it should be done.

Really, only IC thing.
isn't staring a the boys (naruto particularly) the OC thing?
