Last quote was me ordering a hit on Comi to see how he and Ori took it, first quote was working off my knowledge of a cult, second was multipurpose but hush hush, and the third was either saying to take a gut read to illuminate it or was referring to someone being discussed as suspicious I can't recall.

Hmm...I am noticing something in this game. I think this has been the third or fourth time when I question people on their roads, they sent me back the answer: "Oh, that was just gut" And like, I get it, it was D1. But that answer is also a pretty easy cover for mafia since it gives little to go on. It wouldn't surprise me if a mafia member already said that to my face.
Not to mention this present drought of activity makes it harder to read more people.

I don't like gut reads, guts are an organ to digest food with and fart out with, not to deduce.
I think both Zaealix and Nictis look better after their interaction. Sure, Zaealix could have been a wolf trying to chum with Nictis, but they did state in their first post that they thought Nictis to be town which seems to fit with what they claim. I still keep an eye on them, though.
Ori seems evasive.

Like i have a couple of ideas I just don't know how to get them across without reading it to myself and going "that's fucking stupid am I on crack".

I don't like throwing random pressure with no reasoning behind it, tbh. It's extremely hard to argue out of something without reasoning behind it, regardless of alignment, and I don't have enough suspicions for it to be more than basically random.

Yet, it is a pretty important tool to find information where you can actually reason with. How else do you think to gather information when you keep getting not enough info to suspect other players?

I disagree. Most of my readings I posted to Roach's question have not been gut reads, but actually attempts to deduce or some reasoning at last. I think there has been enough moves to at least get some reasoning. I agree though that there is not enough to make deep or big reads, but it is for smaller ones.
Ok lets consider Zaea's logic here:
There are two outcomes here:
A) Zaea is actually telling the truth and his check literally only returns yes/no for 3Ps through some method and ignores the miller modifier (Not impossible in this setup tbh).
A.5) Zaea has a cop check that doesn't interact with Miller which is fine but I buy this substantially less considering what I know of the setup so far.
B) Zaea fucked up trying to pocket Nictis.
A is probably more likely than B but it's still worth applying pressure to make sure that it isn't B, and this doesn't erase the possibility that B is still correct. The defence also kinda sidesteps this.
I see. Do you still suspect them then?

The problem is if I'm scum, but I claim a dude who is a Miller is trustworthy…Why do that?
A Miller will naturally look suspicious. All I need to do is sow doubt enough to get the people to look into Nictis and things go south.
Additionally, Scum Traditionally (And yes I do need to say traditionally!) know who their teammates are. So if I investigate someone because scum cop and get Millered, I can probably get away with throwing Nictis under the bus to save myself because again: Miller makes Nictis easy to mislynch, and chances are I know Nictis is not actually an ally.
Now, if I'm a 3P doing this… Why, precisely? As the Serial Killer if I want someone gone I just need to wait for nightfall and then do the deed, I think? Arsonist maybe in wanting to not visit a high-profile target? But Cult Leader there's too much risk for not enough reward to do that in anyway other then reactive throwing under the bus versus proactively kicking this off.
I'm not seeing how the suspicion holds up versus the arguably improbable interaction going on that does seem to match the way our interactions went down, as I understand it?
