Hugh's Perfectly Abnormal Mafia Game Where Everything Weird Happens Oh God (And We Promise It's Not Mountainous This Time)

I may have missed something, but do we actually have evidence confirming the existence of a role-lock after being selected? Or, alternatively, has anyone had an attempt to submit multiple actions within the same slot be denied?
I can attest to trying the second and only getting one, but it is possible we are all slightly-different.

Please don't shoot the messenger. Personally have no idea how 99 and Zae are cleared through hobo becoming hugh, they're yet to fully explain what they were able to do by taking that role, though I'll ask. If I'm honest not sure if I trust investigative roles. So far all role announcements have been green, including the announcement from Nic confirming Nani's role, the flips however have been pink, could just be that Hobo and Nic are yet to claim roles (would being Hugh actually count for this?), but could also be that 'taking a role' overwrites our original role card for investigative powers.

Nic's saying he didn't actually take that role, just did the announcement on Nani's role. Not sure how that effects things?

Nictis had a role beyond what flipped at the time of his death.
He revealed Nani the second time and got that as a role.
Rosen has shown that he has the same role that he revealed yesterday, so I would assume that Nictis would keep the role that he had at the end of the day yesterday.
I assume people won't be flipping with their roles, but they do HAVE them when they die.

Also I can clear one other thing up:
Once you use a role action, it gets locked onto said action.
I had asked for two roles, used one, tried to use the other today.
I was denied the latter and explicitly told I did not own the power.

I'm still unsure that the restrictions aren't arbitrary from player to player even.

Yeah I tried a bunch of things last night, kept getting told that action was invalid. So not sure if I'm locked in as medium or if I simply wasn't getting the wording right.

…*frowns*…
Pawn…
Can confirm that you likely cannot become an exploding imp btw so this defense is incredibly silly. I already tried and was denied. :<
…Care to defend yourself over this?
My problem being why try to become an exploding imp if you're town? A power that lashes out at people who vote for you seems much more advantageous to scum then town…

Primarily because its funny. Secondarily because I wanted to test power granting limitations and figured a third party wincon with that powerset would be a good test of such. Thirdly, I'm pretty sure I can avoid being voted out or shot by town if I'm trying hard enough so if it worked and my wincon didn't change I could mitigate damage. Fourth, considering I did a mayor claim that is confirmed, there's no reason for me to reveal this as its not like people trusted YP anyway. And fifth, because it was funny.

Pawn, your reasoning makes sense, but why did you pick a third party like that instead of something fun like a conversion role?

Because I've killed half of a game with an exploding imp and basically shortened the game by 3+ days the one time I got one. It is a very fun role!

Also that statement does not clear you AT ALL, YP. All it does is say that you aren't that hyperspecific role. I also happened to notice the role you detailed doesn't have any way to kill.
Which makes you look worse.
And before you say it, it says mafia, strongman, janitor, etc.
But you'd have no factional with that.
It reads like a lost wolf role.

1: mafia don't need to have 'can use factional' in their role name to have a factional. This is a really bad point.

2: The argument that I'm scum is based off of the idea that I am indeed that exact role because I claimed i, and therefore became it. So me showing that I don't have that role would not clear me, but it would render the argument for me being scum moot.

The actual solution to this problem is to have YP get revealed again and see if the role color is consistent tbh

Not that I condone burning actions consistently like this but I think this particular case has a pretty damn good reason to do so. If YP remains red then the shot is easy Today, else we have more to think about.

Someone else doing it appears to have unexpected effects, and I think Pyro's actual power may be "able to make fake claims through the gm" now, which means we can't rely on anything posted about Pyro
