"This is DJ Plastique 105.2, bringing you the best of the 70's 80's and 90's. Now, I first years this song in the back of a car speeding to a hospital. It was the first time I went out to fight crime, before I went legit *chuckles*. Anyway, I had halfway dead, the knife was still in my body when this song came on. As soon as I heard this, I knew I was gonna be alright. Somebody Up There Likes Me. David Bowie. Here's hoping someone down here likes you too"
A guitar riff starts playing as you ride back home, Adrian in the driver's seat, and Gwen was in the back. It's 11 AM. Gray clouds are starting to gather in the sky, threatening to rain without actually raining yet. Gwen is sipping
"So, what did they talk about Sunday School?" You ask Gwen as you pull onto the highway that'll take you home.
"Ugh" Gwen said, folding her arms. "They made us learn a song to memorize all the bible chapters"
"Wait, really?" Adrian asked.
"Yeah, I remember them doing that when I was a kid... it still gets stuck in my head to this day" You say, shaking your head. "Come on, let's hear some of it."
"Do I have to, mom?" Gwen asks, clearly not looking forward to doing so.
"Come on, you can do it" You encourage your daughter.
Gwen sighs. "Fine" Then she starts singing, though clearly not happy about it.
"Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts and Romans too.
First and Second Corinthians. Ephasians and Ephesians.
Philimpithans, Goulashes First and Second Tesela-ti-ons... " Gwen trailed off.
"That was great, Gwen" You say, you try not to laugh.
"No no, keep going, I want to hear the rest of this" Adrian says. Around now, you start to pass by Downtown.

Several miles Southwest...
The funeral procession was slowly making it's way through outside of the city. The hearse, followed by two limousines as well as the motorcycle escorts were riding making their way through Magnolia, towards the cemetery where Zender would be laid to rest. Inside one of the limousines were several of the fallen officers friends and family. His wife, Melissa Zender, his partner, Ulyssis Frost, several cousins, as well as his brother, as well as Arthur Blankenship, Police Chief, and Sanaz Faranakian, publicly known as Saber, a licensed hero.
"I... I still can't believe this happened..." Melissa Zender said. "I mean, the best trained police force, some of the best Heroes in the Country and... and..." Melissa took out a handkerchief and started dabbing the tears away
Saber looked down at that. Melissa probably didn't mean it, but it still felt like Saber couldn't help but feel like she was blaming her and her fellow Capes. She didn't want to think it was true, but the thought nagged in the back of her mind. That day, Saber was out in the western half of the city, dealing with someone planting bombs in a Synthetic Insights building. She had saved a dozen people, and caught the people who planted them. It was something to be proud of, but she didn't feel like it. Especially since her friends, her allies were hurt, and at least several dozen people were killed, and she couldn't be there.
"Winston... he wouldn't want us to be sad, Melissa" Arthur said, as he put a hand on her shoulder. "He was a good man, and he'd want us to remember..."
Suddenly, one of the motorcycle cops started to break formation and pull parallel to the limousine. And for a moment, it stayed there, the rider, face obscured by her helmet, looked at the tinted window as if she could see right through it.
"What the..." Arthur said as the rider raised their left arm at the window, and just then, he caught a brief glimpse at the metal device mounted on her wrist.
Suddenly, a small metal capsule about the size of an egg was launched from the device. The capsule smashed through the limo's glass window and hit Blankenship right in the chest. Then it started to release a green gas.
The effect was instantaneous, when the gas touched it, Blankenship's skin started to turn red. Boils and blisters formed on his face, inside of his mouth, in his throat. He couldn't do anything but let out a gurgling gasp as the gas burned his body. His eyes were turning a milky white as they lost the ability to see.
In less than a second, panic spread as the gas expanded through the enclosed space. Hannah Reese, one of Zender's cousin's dove for one the doors facing the sidewalk and lept outward, bouncing off of the pavement. Melissa Zender banged on the divider, screaming as the left side of her face was burning. Frost tried to draw his gun, but he inhaled the gas. As he screamed, the gun he was holding went off, hitting Victor Weathers, a fellow officer, right between the eyes.
Saber's conscious mind didn't have time to process the attack before her body was on the move. She bolted from her seat and grabbed the nearest person, Winston's older brother Carter Zender, and tossed him out of the limo a second before Hannah was able to. He landed hard, but was unharmed. And in a split second she was caught between diving out herself to safety and trying to see if anyone else was alive, the gas, had engulfed the limo. Her costume was keeping her arm safe, but she was well aware that part of her face wasn't covered and her mask wasn't airtight. She let go, intending to tuck and roll, but the gas got on her face before she could get away from the limo.
She tucked and rolled, hitting the ground hard, even as the vision in her right eye was rapidly fading. She ignored the pain and saw the perpetrator, she drew a throwing knife from her sleeve and aimed at the rider's back. But after she throws her knife, she's hit with a coughing fit, and a taste of copper was welling in the back of her throat. She fell to her knees. She tried to push herself back up, but she fell to her side. Saber ripped her mask off just in time to cough up some blood. As she slipped out of consciousness, she pressed the distress signal hidden in her sleeve. As she fell unconsciousness, Lussiac was riding away, pursued by the other officers.

As the song started to fade out, you, Adrian and Gwen moved on to talking about your plans for Lunch, the sone was starting to fade from the radio. But before it could end, the music cuts off, and the DJ starts "This is Plastique again with another safety alert. There's was a chemical attack. We're still trying to get all the details, but it looks like a cop with... a knife sticking out of her helmet curtosy of Saber, started launching gas grenades. If you're in North Magnolia and don't have a gas mask, stay inside, stay safe, and keep away from any doors or windows.
You know Magnolia. It's just a few exits away. You haven't been to the neighborhood much before. Never really had a reason to. But it looks like either a villain disguised themselves as a cop or a cop just went postal.
You look at Adrian, and he looks at you.
