I think having her be religious is the most intereting option.

She's no paladin, but she's got her faith.

"Mom! Mom! Can we get a Gauntlet? It's fast and it's tough! Just like you!" Gwen asks, pointing at the Gauntlet. She was probably looking at the car, but your eyes are immediately drawn to the price tag. It has quite a few 0's in it. Which would be fine, if there weren't those pesky non-zero numbers in front of it.

What the hell, China? Building Skynet is really dumb! Also, the US's job.

[X] I have a different religion from Adrian, so I don't go to his Church.
- [X] Mazdayasna (Zoroastrianism)

Because the Avesta don't say you should burn witches at the stake, while still promoting Truth, Justice, Devotion, and Good.

Especially since proto-Skynet was a chess playing machine, and it still killed someone.

Granted, Modern Christianity (usually) doesn't command their followers to burn Supers either.

Though there are a lot of differences even within the different branches as to what a Super means in the context of the religion.

You get out of bed and walk to the bathroom to get ready for church.
---------------------------------
You're in the Sanctuary of North Haven's Way Methodist Church. The church is in the Haven's Way neighborhood, east of downtown. It's an old building, but it's gone through numerous remodels throughout the years. There are churches closer to your home, but you've been coming here ever since you were a kid, back when you could afford to live in Haven's Way.

You're wearing a red jacket, blouse, skirt, and shoes. Adrian is wearing a black suit, a white dress shirt, and a green tie and black dress shoes. He usually isn't one to wear suits, but as he sees it, if he's going to go to church, he should look his best. Now if only he would get the suit dry cleaned more often. Gwen is wearing a blue dress and black shoes. Allegedly, she's looking at her bible app on her iPad, but you pretend not to notice when she switches to whatever game she's playing as long as she mutes it. You know you've fallen asleep during your share of services when you were a kid.

"I haven't seen you in a while Adrian, did Sonya finally drag you here. How've you been" Nikita "Nick" Forrester says. He's a chiropractor, late 40's, bald, a few spots on his head. He wears a tan suit that's slightly ruffled.

"Well, you know, taking it one day at a time" Adrian says, shaking the man's hand. "It's all we can really do these days."

"Yeah, don't I know it." Nick says. "You know things are bad when the city is saying "Everything is fine. By the way, if you have superpowers, we want to give you a job". I mean, my daughter, she has the power to always know how to get where she's going. She got 30 emails from the city in the last couple of weeks. The police, the DSA, the FBI, the MSW and who knows how many other alphabet agencies."

"Don't I know it." You say. "I'm probably going to get two or three by the time I get back home"

"Sonya! Nikita! How are you doing? And... is that Adrian?"

You turn around to see Irene Stark, another person you know. She's a little older than you, with brown hair. She's slightly overweight, with a habit of wearing slightly too much eyeshadow. But she'd give you the shirt off her back if you needed it.

"Irene, it's been a while!" You say, and she throws her arms around you. You hug her back, patting her on the back as you do.

"I was worried when you weren't here. You didn't call, you didn't write..."

"I sent an email to you a few weeks ago that I'd be out for a few weeks. I needed to catch up with some orders" You say.

"Oh... well shoot. Sorry about that." Irene said. "Still, you need to take care of your spiritual needs first, Sonya"

"Come on, Irene" Adrian says. "We have things down here that we gotta take care of" He says.

"Yeah. I'm sure God won't mind if I miss a few Sundays" You say.

Irene sighs and nods. "Well, anyway, we're having Loaves and Fishes again last Saturday of this month, and I'm hoping I'll see all" She looks at you, Adrian, and Nick. "Of you there"

"We'll see" Adrian says, though you know that he isn't going to go.

"I mean, I try and get most of my work done on Saturdays, so I don't know..." You say. Loaves and Fishes is an event that was supposed to be organized by four different churches around the city. The idea was to rent out a space in the Community Center in Battery Park and feed the homeless every Saturday of the month. The other 3 churches dropped out over the years to focus on other things, like Missions in South America, helping to clean up after a particularly bad attack, and buying their pastor a private helicopter. But for the last 23 years, Haven's Way has been there. You only missed two Saturdays in that time. The first in 1993, because of the hostage situation and 2014, because of the blizzard.

[] "I'll try and be there" I say.
[] "Uh... sure. I'll be there" I probably won't, but it'll get her off my back. I can't make any guarantees, but I'll try and be there.
[] "I'm sorry, but I don't think I can make it"

"Still, you should bring little Gwen along sometime. It'll be good for her to start doing God's work early" Irene says. Gwen looks up from her tablet at the mention of her name then, seeing it's Irene, slowly places her tablet face down on the bench.

After a few minutes of conversation, the pianist near the front of the Sanctuary starts playing a song, and people start settling down and finding their seats.

Sunday, September 6th, 2015. 2 Hours later.
"We are gathered here today to remember the life of Officer Winston Zender. A Husband. A Son. A brave man until the very end"

A group of mourners had gathered in Sumner Park. Most of the attendants were fellow police officers, as well as the officer's family and friends. Like most police officers who fell in the line of duty, it was a military style funeral.

But one person there wasn't there to mourn the fallen officer. She didn't even care about him.

Dr. Lussiac scanned the crowd of mourners as the pastor continued to eulogize about the fallen man. She didn't care about what he was saying. She was looking at the man behind the priest. There, among a group of other people planning on speaking about Officer Zender was Arthur Blankenship.

Lussiac blew out a breath as her heart started to race. She didn't quite know how to describe the emotions she was feeling. There was... anticipation.

But trying anything right now would be suicide. There were about a hundred officers at the funeral. Some were playing the bagpipes or the drums, but all of them were armed. If she tried to kill Blankenship right now, she'd be shot dead where she stood, even if she did kill him. And she couldn't die, not yet.

And that wasn't even taking into account the Hero in attendance. Standing at the front of the group behind the pastor, is Saber. She's a five foot six woman. She was wearing a brown and black armored suit, with a cloth wrap covering everything except her eyes. Even at the funeral, she still had her two shortswords strapped near her lower back, and Lussiac had a feeling that she had at least half a dozen daggers and throwing knives on her. She didn't know who the city was kidding about Saber being here just as a guest. Saber was here as a guard... probably to make sure people like herself didn't try anything.

Then again, Lussiac couldn't let this stop her. After today, Blankenship would either be in the police station, one of the most secure locations in the city which was also in the heart of downtown, or at her home, which was just behind in terms of security. And if she waited a month until Blankenship retired, then he could leave the city altogether. And even if she followed him and killed him then, getting back to the city to kill the others would be... challenging. At least in the city, she had some contacts, places to lay low.

Besides, half of the heroes in the city were out of commission right now. She wouldn't get a chance like this again. If she was going to kill him, she had the best chance of success today. But she couldn't do it now. There were too many people around.

So for now, she had to wait, and exploit an opportunity as it came.

the power to always know how to get where she's going
That's potentially a huge power depending on how broad it is. For an example of few limitations, imagine wanting to go to the HQ of a terrorist organization, or the warehouse the mob holds a drug shipment, or the safehouse of a spy and so on and so forth. Knowing how to get there location-wise would be already big enough, but what about knowing the best routes to go quickly and avoid obstacles? Knowing what to do to avoid dangers and thus arrive safely? Knowing the right passwords to open up the needed doors?

Which is why the government is trying to recruit her. They're asking those same questions and they want to find out.

Um... that crit success was for Lussiac. It wasn't what I had in mind for the character originally, but judging from this, and an unposted vignette, she rolls amazingly when it comes to just knocking people out with physical force.

Though coincidently, that fight scene did take place in a bathroom. Though it was a public bathroom.

Lussiac is attempting to ambush a motorcycle cop while she's in a bathroom in order to steal her uniform. The Chem Warfare skill covers her trying to use her chemicals in a combat context, so in this case, she was trying to inject the cop with a syringe of sedatives. The cop dodged and tried to get Lussiac to surrender, but Lussiac succeeded her Will roll, and tried to subdue her physically, which she succeeded at.

...
The funeral continues, speeches are given. Mourners are crying, bagpipes are playing, and Dr. Lussiac was bored to tears. Blankenship had taken a seat near the front, close to the casket. Lussiac was near the back, close to several citizens, most invited, some showed up to mourn a police officer, some were just watching the funeral. The service was about to close out and time was running out. By now, she was starting to be anxious. The anticipation hadn't gone away, but she was doing her best to keep it from showing. The last thing she needed was to have a cop investigate her because she looked shifty. And even if they didn't know her face, which they shouldn't, they might notice the... tools she has concealed in the sleeves of her black dress.

So for now, she kept scanning the area, until she noticed a group of motorcycle cops in the distance. It was a group of eight of them, three women and five men. One of the women was talking into a handheld radio, then two the other three officers. Another officer, another woman, pointed in the distance and said something to who Lussiac assumed was the woman in charge of their group. The leader nodded and the female cop started fast walking in another direction. Lussiac followed where the officer was pointing and saw it was a concrete restroom building, and a plan started to form in her head. The officer going to the bathroom was around her height. She had dark hair as well. She was holding her helmet under her arm, which Lussiac could use to cover her face if she put the faceplate down. It wouldn't fool anyone who knew that officer and who came too close, but if she could get that uniform...

As casually as she could, she started walking towards the restroom.

-----------------------------------------
When Lussiac entered the public restroom, she noticed two things right away. The first was that it was completely empty, save the stall occupied by the officer. The second was that it was one of the filthiest places she had been in her... well in recent memory. The dirty tiled floor was slightly sticky. There was a blackish stain on the wall that she didn't want to know what it was. There was graffiti on the mirrors, and there was the smell of rot, like an animal had died in the walls of this place. Which it might have.

But she ignored the smell and took position outside of the stall the officer was in, and waited. While she did, she readied one of her tools. It was a wrist mounted device that had a syringe that could be loaded with capsules of chemicals, as well as two launchers that could launch specially crafted gas grenades. But she wouldn't need the launcher yet, so she loaded a sedative into the syringe.

The officer stepped out of the stall, about to start whistling a tune when Lussiac made her move. She moved, trying to stick the officer in the neck. The officer barely moved out of the way in time, the needle just passing her neck. With a practiced ease, she pulled out her pistol.

"Make a move and I'll blow your head off" She said in a low voice. But Lussiac used her left arm to move the gun to the side and with her right, socked the officer in the stomach. She stumbled backwards as the air was knocked out of her lungs, and Lussiac jabbed the needle in the officer's neck before she could do anything else. As the chemical was pumped into the officer's veins, she slowly slumped onto the toilet unconscious.

Lussiac peeked out of the stall. No one had seen her, thankfully, and she probably had a few minutes before anyone came into the restroom.

"Ugh... I didn't spend 8 years in college for this..." She said as she started to take the officer's uniform. After several minutes, Lussiac was dressed in the officer's uniform and had left the stall. The officer was set up to look like she was sitting on the toilet, probably on her phone.

"All Elements, this is TOC. Service over and we're moving to the private venue. People are loading up in the limos and we need to get ready in 2." Lussiac took that as her cue and headed outside. She had had some good luck so far. Hopefully, she still had enough to get her through the rest of the day.
