Temple flies straight up. his specially designed hood staying over his eyes as he lifts himself up off of the ground. The plan was to gain some altitude and stay out of range of whatever Myra, the bear woman, could attack him with. Given that she could be described as a brick with teeth and claws, most of that would be short range. Myra stares at Temple, then goes back into the garage. But as soon as she enters, she exits, holding all manner of heavy equipment. One by one, she tosses objects at Temple.
A toolbox smashes Temple's face. Nails, a hammer, two wrenches, and Temple's teeth fly everywhere as the hero is knocked out of the sky.
Temple jerks to the left to dodge the toolbox, sending it sailing to parts unknown. His Precognition could only let him see a few seconds into the future, but it was invaluable when it came to knowing where attacks would be. As Temple gets higher, Myra keeps throwing objects. Tires, a prybar, even an air pump all come soaring at Temple. He ducks, bobs, and weaves away from the objects as they keep flying his way. As Myra is throwing tools at the Hero, Bobby Renyolds, technopath and car thief takes stock of his options. She's going to run out of things to throw eventually, and then that Hero is going to come down and kick someone's ass.
He waves his hand at the car, and the engine starts. A click confirms that the doors are unlocked. A quick hop in the driver's seat, and gets ready to drive away.

Inside of the house....
"Well, maybe if you made some real money, we wouldn't be having this problem!" Jessica Hendricks shouts at her accomplice/husband William Hendricks. The air in the room had gotten cold as she started to tap into her powers. The chop shop that they had been running had been making money, but not as much or as fast as she would have liked. She'd been working her ass off finding sellers for the parts, but the parts William and Bobby were getting weren't selling for enough.
"Hey, we work out asses off every day stripping cars down. I'm the one getting driving all over the city selling these things. What the fuck do you do all day? Sit on your ass, bitching at me! And half of what we make goes up your nose!"
"Don't you talk to me like that! Don't you fucking talk to me like that! As least I'm not-"
As the two of them continue to argue, neither of them notice a creeping shadow slip underneath their door. The unseen shadow rises out of the ground behind the shouting man. It was six feet tall, taking a vaguely humanoid shape. It has a head, though no discernable hair or facial features, a torso, and four limbs, though it's hands only looked like hands if one didn't look too closely. It stands behind William and it's forearm morphs into a blade. But it stands there. Jessice sees the shape, but aside from a brief pause when it started to form, she didn't let it break her stride.
"Well FUCK YOU! FUCK YOU, YOU GENUINE SHIT! YOU CAN... What are you waiting for, Blackout! Just get it the fuck over with!" Jessica shouted.
"Wait, wh-" Is all William manages to croak before the blade pierces through his chest. He looks down at the blade, now covered in his blood, then back up at Jessica who is wiping blood off of her face with a look of disgust. With a single motion, the being behind him pulls the blade out, leaving William collapses on the ground in a growing puddle of blood.
Jessica look at the fallen man with annoyance. "Ugh, I think some of it got in my mouth... Why didn't you stab him sooner" She wipes the blood off of her face with a look of disgust. A mouth starts to form where the shape's face would be. There weren't any lips, or tongue but that didn't seem to prevent them from talking.
"I was wondering when he'd notice" they say with a shrug. They shake some of the excess blood from their blade-arm "Looks like he didn't. Too bad for him, huh"
"Well, he never was that bright. Once the life insurance goes through, I'll give you your cut" Jessica walks to the kitchen and takes a sandwich bag with a bit of white powder. "Still, I thought you were only here for backup." Jessica says. She starts to pour the cocaine into rails, chopping it up with a credit card. "Aren't two other guys supposed to actual be doing the hit? Robbery gone wrong'll sell better with the cops than a Villain murdering"
"There's a Hero outside. Took 'em both out, so I had to do it. If you want something done right, huh?" Blackout made a sound that sounded like chuckling.
"Yeah, " Jessica says as she gets out a straw. She snorted a rail of coke in one sniff. But before she could finish the second rail, she realized just what Blackout had said. "Wait, a what is outside?!" Jessica shouts, storming back into the living room. "There's a Hero outside and you didn't fucking say anything?!" She shouted.
"Yeah. Hero. One of the new ones, I think." Blackout says unperturbed at the rapidly dropping temperature and the face that Jessica's breath was coming out as a mist. "You know, you should mix gunpowder with that stuff later. I heard it gets rid of chest pains."
"GRAAA! Fucking c- forget it! Just forget it!" Jessica shouts. "Do what you want. I'm getting out of here. Let Myra deal with this shit if she wants."As Jessica gets ready to go out the back door and, hopefully, disappear into the woods, William's finger twitch slightly.

As Temple continues to rise, the objects come at a less frequent rate. Though none could get high enough to hit Temple in either case. Several hundred feet in the air, Temple was out of range of anything that Myra could, literally, throw at him
Myra is shouting something, but Temple can't hear her. But peering into her mind, she gets a basic idea. A lot of rage, aimed at Temple right now, but it seems that the rage is there just in general. That's when an expensive sports car, a bright red Prosche tears out of the garage. It swerves, nearly hitting Myra as it heads for the road.
Myra grumbles and heads back to the garage, the Porsche Speeding off into the distance. As she comes back out, she's carrying a large rifle. Her large finger barely fits between the trigger guard and the and fires. Temple barely manages to dodge the shot, but she quickly corrects her aim and gets ready to shoot again...
Temple swore as the vision played in the back of his mind. He should've known he couldn't stay up here forever. He should've- no, he knew he would be getting into situations like this before he even got here, but he was getting a lot less confident in his abilities...
But every Hero had to start somewhere. And it was practically their job to go into overwhelming odds. Corporal Steel and Jetstream are both fighting their asses off on other missions, and so was he. And... he said he'd be able to take on these guys before he was sent here. And his bosses would probably be disappointed if he left without making any arrests.
