I'll admit, I fucked up. I misread the "Throw a fireball and use reflect" as having two votes instead of three, so I had counted the throw a fireball then trap the guy in the barrier as the winner.

I apologize for that.

The votes have three each, with Baron's vote, while not exactly matching with the dialogue, is pretty much the same so I'm counting it.

So the fireball + reflect vote wins.

Since the rolls were still for fireball + some sort of barrier, the second roll will be applied to reflect instead of the barrier. I'll get to rolling for the NPCs and start working on the update.

Was this training ever incorporated into our stats? Because I changed my vote to training broadsword directly after this vote. And according to the date on the post that was in late June of last year.

Meanwhile the roll that failed here (it was 15) so Broadsword skill was 14, was failed in March of 2020.

On a semi related note, it looks like the roll failed by 1.

If everyone else wants, I can apply All Out: Determined to the roll. This subtracts 4 from the roll so it'll pass. But Sonya will also give up her defenses for the next round.

    For a split second, the skinheads start to relax. It looks like they won't have to have a fight that they may not be able to win.

    "So, why don't we start with you and your thugs?"

    You throw your fireball. Someone screams. The man who was advancing towards you drops to the ground. The fireball sailing over his head. In the middle distance, the fireball sails past the rifle wielding skinhead and past the fence. You don't see what it hits, but it hits something.

    "Fucking kill 'em!" Mr. 13 shouts in a murderous voice. Any trace of civility is gone. He raises his rifle and takes aim. You summon your barrier before he can pull the trigger.

    You hear cracks as rifle fire opens up all around you. Some fly over your head. One bullet hits the van behind you. But the bullets from Mr. 13 hit your barrier, just in front of where your chest is. Flashing white lights shoot out from your barrier, going through his chest.

    The barrier collapses, but seeing the barrier reflect the attack and their leader go down shakes the remaining thug's moral. One man keeps firing, spraying bullets with abandon. Another drops his gun and takes off and one just freezes.

    That's when you see one of the goons, the one wielding a shotgun, sprinting towards you, from the side. When he sees that you see him, he raises his gun to fire.

    You close the distance quickly and put his arm in a hold, keeping his shotgun away from your face in the process when he fires, and use your left hand to push on his elbow, sending him to the ground. A quick punch to the back of his head makes sure he stays down.

    Two men down, one man man fleeing. Three to go. The pistol wielding goon is hurriedly reloading, his panic firing having used up his mag. The assault wielding goon is getting up from the ground, and the rifleman in the distance doesn't seem to have been perturbed by nearly getting incinerated.

    Yeah these guys failed to back down with fire ball threat and aren't breaking even with their leader down and one running. I suspect "I have gun, therefore I in control" type logic.

    As the shotgun wielding thug hits the ground, you move swiftly to your next target, and the only one in broadsword range. The pistol wielding man. He fires off two shots, one goes wide, the other hits your armor. You feel it, but it doesn't slow you down.

    As you draw your sword, you lift it up and...
