Okay, it's been 3 pages and no one has pointed out what I thought would've been glaringly obvious. I'm a little surprised, but sometimes people miss things.
Assimilation- Not the Grey Goo option, NOT THE GREY GOO OPTION, CALM DOWN. This is how good the Process as a whole has gotten at assimilating things- namely, the process (hhhhhhhhhha) of tagging individual molecules with neutral quark-level particles that allow for easy manipulation of protons and electrons, and scanning the object in the process in order to learn more about the world. This is the Process's core ability. This is the Process's purpose.
[X] Now... hear me out here. He hired you to fix her Scroll, her laptop, and to keep silent about what was on them. Spyware was never mentioned, doesn't factor into the original agreement. You've done steps one and two, but let's be honest, he's paying you 200 grand for step 3.
IMO, this shouldn't even require a roll. The guy promised us this money for the job, and we did the job. Reneging on his deal means that he's on our shit list.

-[x] In the long run, having Weiss Schnee in your debt is probably going to be worth a lot more than a new car. The warm fuzzies are a nice perk too. It's certainly more than you were expecting when you arrived at the hotel either way.

192k is way too small to be pissing off the SDC right now lol. Sides, if we want to go full amoral we can easily hack and steal like 10 lien from every bank account in existence and bam! That's at least a few million lien easy.
In the age of information and digitized data he who masters the code is literally god. Only reason why Jaune hasn't gone poking in places he shouldn't is cause he never had to.
EDIT: I mean think about it, if Jaune seriously needs a few million Lien right the fuck now a few banks might notice some discrepancy in their transactions as he steals stupid amounts of dosh.

I would like to note that your only response to finding out about Hyper Arcade's shady business practices was 'Oh. Wow.'
And then to immediately continue walking to your desk.
I get where you're coming from, but this Jaune is shockingly amoral if enough money is part of the equation. If you hadn't actually met Weiss, there's every chance he would have just installed it and walked.
Don't forget, those business practices were abstract and hurt people he'd never even met. That's a big difference to having a lonely and desperate teenage girl right in front of him. In this situation, I can see him being idealistic as the higher in-character priority than the pragmatic "she'll be a useful contact in the future" (even if that would also play a part in his decision).
Anyway, there's something I was curious about. @Prok, how much of these events are predetermined and how much is up to the dice? Would we always have met Weiss by doing this job or could something else have happened, like if she didn't return to the room and left Jaune with a much harder dilemma?

-[X] You've done, and will do, what they actually agreed to pay you for. Oh, you still aren't expecting them to follow through... but they're the ones who'll have broken the agreement, not you.
-[X] "I'm sorry Mr. Ashford but my integrity is not for sale."
-[X] Locate umbrella.
Wait a minute...
Would we be able to reinstall the spyware, but tweaked in such a fashion that we can remove it by remote later?
Because if so, we could do that, get the money, then remove it afterwards and shoot Weiss a text letting her know what we just did.
Not like the SDC could sue us for breach of contract when there was no contract and the job was super-illegal.

I think the problem with this is that he doesn't know what he's dealing with and we are surprisingly merciful considering what we could have done. He thinks he's just screwing over some guy, whereas he represents part of a multinational corporation in this matter.

If we aren't going to even discuss my vote we could at least visibly seek an umbrella and maybe have Weiss share hers back to the train station or something.
More on screen time with Weiss would make me happy because I just like Weiss. Not even from a shipping standpoint (White Rose is the best ship I will fite all of you), just... I like Weiss.

Gently point that out to him, and let the implication do the rest. 1d50. Best outcome, you walk out of here with your conscience free, and 200k richer!
No problems on my conscience and I get 200 grand? I literally do not see the problem here.
Sure having Weiss' gratitude is fun and all, but I'd rather have money than that. We're not pissing anyone off either because we're doing exactly what he hired us for and like hell will I let them rip us off.
Money is exchanged for goods and services! We provided a service! Give us the money!

Yeah! There's no way that Weiss might have a problem with us using evidence of her downloading CP as blackmail! And shady international megacorps are notoriously understanding when they get extorted for money by a contractor being clever with the exact wording of the informal arrangement for illegal services they were offered!
What is exactly the requirement of getting Ashford's job done? If it's Weiss can't know of the spyware, then this stupid idea I have of working both sides is not going to work, But I'm willing to put it out there so we can discuss it.
Technically, he only bought your silence. Silence to who hasn't been established. That's what the red option's all about- "You paid for my silence, and I'm legally obligated to tell the police, so stump up that green lad"
I don't know why my example Jaune slipped into a Cotswolds accent near the end there, but you get the idea.
Besides, I think a lot of people might object to using the Process for counterfeiting purposes, since, you know, they're trying to teach it at least basic morality.
You want money from the Process? Go into real estate.

I mean, yes, that's pretty much the entire reason he had that reaction- it was abstract, to an extent, and they obviously paid their dues for it by being stuck making shitty mobile games. I know people who would flat-out refuse to work with a company like that, no matter how much they seemed to pay for their sins. Something like this, murdering someone's privacy in front of them, yeah, no, that's a bit much for him.
In this particular scenario, you always would have met Weiss. It would have just been a waste not to. The random roll was whether or not Ashford could turn up before the two of you could work things out between you, most likely to the tune of attempting to get one over on the SDC, or just attempting to murder each other, depending on how your choke roll went.
No problems on my conscience and I get 200 grand? I literally do not see the problem here.

... Oh, you weren't around for the first one, were you-
No, you see, that's only if you roll really well. Red options are options that, if you pull them off, you'll pull off something absolutely spectacular- namely, walking away with your 192k. If you fail, however, you'll crash and burn in an equally spectacular way.

As Ashmaker pointed out, it will not be terribly long until the "goods" part of "goods and services" is more or less our bitch. Fabricating Lien? Bad Idea(TM). Fabricating large quantities of valuable materials? Much better idea(provided we don't nuke its market value in the process (Ha.) of selling it, and I'm not sure we can make enough of any material to do that).
Besides, I think a lot of people might object to using the Process for counterfeiting purposes, since, you know, they're trying to teach it at least basic morality.
The forgery part was a joke, but the rare metals part wasn't. Once The Process learns enough (and Cell learns very quickly), it'll be able to make Rhodium, Platinum, Gold, Palladium or Silver pretty much spontaneously appear. That's not even going into what happen when we'll be able to create Dust.
You want money from the Process? Go into real estate.
Also a good idea, but like @CaesriusPolybius said, there are market impacts to consider.
Regardless, that's a matter for the future. There's a far more important matter to discuss than mere money: @Prok, when do we get a Fetch form for Cell?

What were your plans if the choke roll had gone poorly, Jaune and Weiss came to blows, and the Ashford roll had gone equally poorly so he didn't show up in time to stop them?

There are market impacts to almost anything you can do with the Process- at least this spreads the net as a whole further afield, see? But, yeah, that's a little far in the future for what's essentially a hyper-advanced Roomba at this point in time.
What were your plans if the choke roll had gone poorly, Jaune and Weiss came to blows, and the Ashford roll had gone equally poorly so he didn't show up in time to stop them?
Anything below 18 would have had her still playing dumb about the virus but otherwise acting cordially about it, 14, she would have kept the sword at your neck, 10, you wouldn't have actually gotten a word out, 5, fight scene that would have ended with Ashford eventually turning up and restraining you both like the couple of children you were acting like.
A 1 would have ended up with you getting stabbed in the neck, the Process going nuts, and Weiss getting a particle beam to the head because of it. You would have survived, on account of Reboot(), so would she, on account of Aura, but you'd have an angry child AI to deal with before it put a beam through her head for real this time, and you both would have walked away heavily traumatised by the experience. As in, probably never interact with each other again if at all possible kind of traumatised. And end up on papa Schnee's actual shitlist.
Because being overprotective of your daughter for manipulative reasons is still being protective of your daughter.
