New Good Seed and Omake Rule Updates
Good Seed and Omake Spreadsheet Rules:

Firstly, if you have questions about Good Seeds and the like please read here. If that doesn't answer your question please ping me in thread, or on Discord.

If you write a new Good Seed, or write an omake, please update the spreadsheet if you have access.

If you do not have access, please ping a collaborator (Swordomatic, Alectai, Quest, TehChron, Insane-Not-Crazy, Humbaba, ReaderOfFate, Kaboomatic, no., BungieONI) letting them know what you want and they will update the spreadsheet here. To gain access, you will need a gmail account of some kind. Throwaway emails are fine (I'm using one for the spreadsheet), but to gain access it's as simple as sending me either your email via PM, via DM in Discord, or just in Discord's #spreadsheet-requests channel.

This is mandatory. If a Good Seed does not record their omake by pinging collabs (or just requesting access and editing things themselves - this is the preferred option), I won't give out awards. If a new Good Seed is not recorded here, they won't advance. By doing this it makes the whole thing manageable for me - it's gotten pretty unwieldy!

Omake Writer Instructions:

There are four fields you need to fill out.

Omake Link, which is just a link to your first omake for the turn. This makes it easier for me to read them as I do the update - without this it's tough to know off the bat which omake were written this turn, and to properly

Requested Bonus, which is your requested bonus for your omake. You can leave it up to me if you like. You can see more info in the Good Seed infopost here.

Cultivation Aims. For those following unorthodox paths - higher than 9th Heavenstage or later than 7th Dao Pillar paths. Please put in what you are aiming for before you break through. I have left it as 'default'. If you do not edit it, I'll go with that.

Turn Notes - Do you want to do something specific? Enter a Secret Realm? Help the Clan out in some way? If you have something specific you want to accomplish on this turn, put it in turn notes so I can adjust your Fate around it.

All other fields are for QM use to record character information to properly run the flow of the game.

Cannibal is not required to hold the pass after the deadline is up. He could vacate it for the RP, allowing them to threaten us to open a second front if we don't pay up.

I'll try again. Cannibal plans to invade "on the turn of the century" i.e. the year 300.

352 - 300 = 52.

52 / 20 = 2.6 Turns.
That's still 52 years without spirit stones, after I mentioned that even 20 years without spirit stones can be potentially ruinous.

Now explain to me how SPS will tolerate that.

They might decide to save up, if they believe they can extort much more from us afterwards. I have mentioned this three times by now.
Except they don't even know that Old Cannibal is coming to cut them off, unless we explicitly tell them. So how do you think they'll start saving up to gouge us for money if

1) They are already barely meeting their current demands through trade
2) Don't fucking know that the trade embargo is coming

Try again.

Save up with what income? They have no knowledge this is coming unless we warn them so they won't be saving up in advance (not like they really had the ability to anyways considering how much they're redlining but still) and after the pass is seized they're going to be running a massive deficit that'll see them run out of Spirit Stones in a single turn.

At no point in this process is there anywhere they could save up to enact this plan unless we assume they know of the assault in advance and find another supplier.

What are you even talking about?

Threaten us with what? Theyll be broke, fighting off two different conglomerates of Demonic Nascents and a particularly ornery Van Neumann style weed infestation.

What could they possibly threaten us with while the proverbial enemy is at their gates?

You...know he was responding to you talking about the Desert Ban, right?

They could have been planning to screw us over independently from OC.
Right. With the spirit stones that they're buying from us. That we would have definitely noticed. And which we would have gotten even more money from.

There are only two major sources of Spirit Stones in the region and the other one is the Poison Maze. So how do you expect them to build up a strategic reserve of spirit stones for 50 years without us finding out?

The NDA might decide to focus on internal conflict, laying low (building up their own reserves) and invading the mountains.

They use less? Feed some fodder into the grinder, like those horse dudes.

This is your reminder that trying to sanction your supplier of essential goods is a pretty dumb idea, because sure it will hurt the supplier. But its going to hurt you more. Especially when they hold the monopoly, and the essential good is a fuel for war and you are currently fighting a two-front war.

Quick question, am I right in remembering reading something about how we are safe from local factions from the Virtuous Flipper Region during the trials because any one who enters the territory can be targeted by the hunters?

Did I just invent that or is it a thing, I can't find any relevant quotes?

Yes, we're safe from invasion during the Trials - the hunters prefer that their prey not get stolen and hammer down anyone else trying to hunt the Clan in that time. That being said, the Trials are relatively short - post-Trials we're usually reeling, weak, and disorganised, and completely not protected by said rule.

I know that these days it's because

Out of interest, is the hunters hammering everyone else down an enforced part of the trial contest or something that happened more as our ancestors got weaker and the trials went from being all-out desperation to stop the SCA and came to be treated more like a secret realm?

[X] Plan for Closing Wings

I definitely think war is too aggressive. I'm not entirely sure that Yuan spies are more important than Magic Blood Oak or that Kleisthenes' time couldn't be spent better, but overall I think it's a solid consolidation turn that leads to a (hopefully) mild trials and puts us in good position to conquer more land and/or prepare for Old Cannibal in the next century.

[X] Plan: Screw the money, we have rules!

Why is Tehcron not spending the final two purchases on at least getting prepped more for the Trials? Set out ten thousand caches or even the mortal networks would help by being formed up now. Even just one of those would be nice to take now. Instead, the plan calls for spying on a clan. Not build relationships or build up for the trials.

Oh we're going to get it in the teeth next turn, make no doubts about that because our budget does not cover preparation. At a guess we might have to heavily depend on Saving Juniors rolls and defying the heavens.

???

What on earth are you two talking about? Trial Turns are almost always dominated by prep purchases and a singular nonstandard big ticket purchase that Occi uses to bait us. The first time it was the technique palace (as part of a larger scheme that you lot likely wouldn't believe) the second time it was the technique palace again and assisting with rebuilding the Flood Dragons for cheap.

So we'll have something similar show up next turn and the nonstandard purchases will still be in place to argue over (Legacies and leftover options from the Jingshen Wealth spending vote from last turn).

We should be going into next turns Council Vote with 5 actual wealth assuming we dont loot Bloodhammers body in addition to four Shadow Key Points which are 4 effective Wealth.

That's a lot.
