New Good Seed and Omake Rule Updates
Good Seed and Omake Spreadsheet Rules:

Firstly, if you have questions about Good Seeds and the like please read here. If that doesn't answer your question please ping me in thread, or on Discord.

If you write a new Good Seed, or write an omake, please update the spreadsheet if you have access.

If you do not have access, please ping a collaborator (Swordomatic, Alectai, Quest, TehChron, Insane-Not-Crazy, Humbaba, ReaderOfFate, Kaboomatic, no., BungieONI) letting them know what you want and they will update the spreadsheet here. To gain access, you will need a gmail account of some kind. Throwaway emails are fine (I'm using one for the spreadsheet), but to gain access it's as simple as sending me either your email via PM, via DM in Discord, or just in Discord's #spreadsheet-requests channel.

This is mandatory. If a Good Seed does not record their omake by pinging collabs (or just requesting access and editing things themselves - this is the preferred option), I won't give out awards. If a new Good Seed is not recorded here, they won't advance. By doing this it makes the whole thing manageable for me - it's gotten pretty unwieldy!

-----------------------

Omake Writer Instructions:

There are four fields you need to fill out.

Omake Link, which is just a link to your first omake for the turn. This makes it easier for me to read them as I do the update - without this it's tough to know off the bat which omake were written this turn, and to properly

Requested Bonus, which is your requested bonus for your omake. You can leave it up to me if you like. You can see more info in the Good Seed infopost here.

Cultivation Aims. For those following unorthodox paths - higher than 9th Heavenstage or later than 7th Dao Pillar paths. Please put in what you are aiming for before you break through. I have left it as 'default'. If you do not edit it, I'll go with that.

Turn Notes - Do you want to do something specific? Enter a Secret Realm? Help the Clan out in some way? If you have something specific you want to accomplish on this turn, put it in turn notes so I can adjust your Fate around it.

All other fields are for QM use to record character information to properly run the flow of the game.

[X] The Moment of Despair
The victory, long-snatched away. This knowledge it could cloak and give to the last strand. The realisation of victory followed by the understanding of defeat.

I want to know what happened, and why what we succeeded at ended up not working (ensouling the Heavens? trying to shackle them to us? trying to enter the Heavens directly, to see what goes on in the Upper Realms? something else?) and backfiring somehow.

It would let us know why the Heavens still hate and fear us so much. It might even potentially give us an in to accomplishing the thing we failed to accomplish in the first place.

Or, if we did something to screw ourselves over (either the planet-local SCA, or the homeworld of the SCA too) it might let us undo what we did, if whatever we did was counter-productive to what the SCA actually wanted and there was no "proper" way to fix or accomplish what we wanted.

Or perhaps the clues it leaves might lead to us, when we figure out more about what the Demonic Soup Chef or Altar Lord want, figure out some way to thread a needle or achieve some local victory conditions or something.

The Beginning one... might lead to us knowing of a way to make it off-planet.

i.e. "If the Despair choice showed us what we tried and failed to do, then the Beginning shouldn't be a 'This is what we came here to do' snippet; because the Despair one would probably cover that. So then, what might the Beginning show us? Perhaps... it might show us how we came here; and thus, how we might leave?"

i.e. The Despair tells us the "Why" and "What" of why we came here, while the beginning tells us of the "How" we came here.

Well that, or, both Despair and Beginning are required to fully understand what we set out to do. One tells us why we came here and tried to do, and one tells us how it went wrong (but without enough of a clue to tell us 100% how it was supposed to be done right/what we were intending to do).
Upon further inspection, this passage is more sinister than I first thought. "The whispers shaped the possibility-space" indicates a foreign presence influencing the Shadow's thought process. With the current speculation that Altar Lord is responsible, the "allied network" is probably Blood Path/Demonic Altar because they're right next to Turtlebone Mountain. The local energy spike would be the Obsidian Tower at the peak.
Yeah, thinking about it some more, while it's paranoia-inducing as to how much Altar Lord might get his fingers into things if we pick this... All of these options unlock future options, too. Would some of the future options of the middle option, be ones that benefit the Altar Lord's plans? Or that risk Altar Lord (or the Altar's energies, or the Soup Chef's legacies) getting more of his fingers into Heaven's Shadow or something?

And, like... even if we were picking "an option that benefits us lots, and aids Altar Lord too" I'd still be freaking wary of that; because the guy is knowledgeable and scary and a schemer.

Or maybe I'm being a bit too paranoid. Just... mrgh.

On the one hand, it's too much to assume that the Altar Lord would just so happen to be super useful and beneficial to us in our plans and not screw us over at all. On the other hand, it might be a bit much to assume that Occi would put in some tricks or traps in the million-word boons in the long-run or something. On the other other hand... bleh, I dunno, spinning my wheels a bit. This could just be an innocuous suggestion; maybe Altar Lord only has the power to suggest, rather than to usurp or infect or corrupt. (Though even then, I'd still find that cause for worry, because the guy seemed a capable schemer and planner.)
The strand could not be severed, though. It must be preserved.
Administrator. Nonlocal access... failed to connect. Privileges not granted
If it could feel emotion, it would have felt frustration. The whispers and laughter grew, from somewhere echoing inside it. Unusual, recent. Full diagnostic functions were not available, and it was unable to remove them, for there was little power to be spared.
Ah, I was going to comment on the "Huh, if it could feel emotion, it'd be frustrated? And then it mentions whispers and laughter? You know, this is reminding us of how we speculated on the SCA accidentally granting the Heavens emotions or something." And then I noticed the blank text up above (I wasn't the first to notice that though) which, well, great. :V

Xiao Yingzi Extra 2 [Turn 14] [The Pale Centurion]
Xiao Yingzi Extra 2
[Turn 14]
[The Pale Centurion]

So, I was screwing around with Xiao Yingzi's image in Heroforge and I think I finally found something that really works. To an extent, it's a little boring but boring works for Xiao Yingzi. Here, she looks like a typical stern asian third sea woman which is what she has become with her bronzed blood stripped off but in return, she has taken to wearing the clan's ancestral armor to make up for it and project a clan-loyal image. It is made of simple but sturdy spirit bronze because she had no one to leave her top quality gravebronze. Getting the lower quality mass-produced one would be both less affective and judged by her to be too likely to send a message to others that she views the fallen as mere tools to use.

We also see the Banner Pole Spear, her primary weapon with a bronze laurel and the banner of the 1178th Legion, The Unbowed. It holds will fragments from multiple core formation elders able to grant her their skills, all held together by the nascent soul will of a previous legate of the legion. Assume that the banner hanging from it is furled and is actually one of those really long banners (mostly because I used that as gimmick in a fight once). The unassuming ring on her finger is another artifact of the same legion, able to turn her invisible (transporting her partially into the liminal) and holds the sacrificed strength of those who died under its wearer's leadership, able to empower her and save their life with that stored power. At the moment, she has enough energy to save her own life five times.

For the second. It because of the economic (action) hell. And I am bias. If this spare us the huge amount of stones and other cost for why the blacksmith have not stolen yet our stuff.
The bias part is that one way or another this help the heart secret realm path.
Plus our NS is a rogue. He should be rogue like.

For the first I just want to see what heaven did to win.

[X] The Moment of Despair

Dunno the full ramifications of the perk vote, anyone know what Occam says?
The only concrete QM answer we've gotten is that, quote: "The only thing I'll note is that all of these do nothing by themselves. They unlock certain options."

The Shadow's range of action has been restricted in scope by Heaven's awakening. So the 3 boons merely unlock future opportunities.

There's also some weird interference going on with the Shadow, being plagued by unusual whispers recently. The foreign whispers proposed the 2nd boon (Greatest Peak), which wouldn't be normally offered due to its difficulty, since the Clan has to regain their old territory in the Turtlebone Mountain, which is currently held by the Sorrowful Blacksmiths.

Overall, speculation of the boons can be summarized as:
- Spite is described as more of a blunt contingency MAD-style, seemingly used as deterrence. (Instructions for activating a Tower of Spite?)

- Peaks is unlocking Obsidian Tower and the Turtlebone Mountain stash, but probably means Sorrowful Blacksmiths also get access unless we quickly conquer them.

- Keys is probably unlocking various smaller Legacies like the ones Kleisthenes negotiated.

[X] Spite Personified

Hovering towards this then. Thank you for the effort you put in.

[X] The Moment of Despair

This seems most interesting. Perhaps the origin of world fusion? Perhaps something else.

[X] To Surmount the Greatest Peak
[X] The Key of Many Locks

I can't decide.
