New Good Seed and Omake Rule Updates
Good Seed and Omake Spreadsheet Rules:

Firstly, if you have questions about Good Seeds and the like please read here. If that doesn't answer your question please ping me in thread, or on Discord.

If you write a new Good Seed, or write an omake, please update the spreadsheet if you have access.

If you do not have access, please ping a collaborator (Swordomatic, Alectai, Quest, TehChron, Insane-Not-Crazy, Humbaba, ReaderOfFate, Kaboomatic, no., BungieONI) letting them know what you want and they will update the spreadsheet here. To gain access, you will need a gmail account of some kind. Throwaway emails are fine (I'm using one for the spreadsheet), but to gain access it's as simple as sending me either your email via PM, via DM in Discord, or just in Discord's #spreadsheet-requests channel.

This is mandatory. If a Good Seed does not record their omake by pinging collabs (or just requesting access and editing things themselves - this is the preferred option), I won't give out awards. If a new Good Seed is not recorded here, they won't advance. By doing this it makes the whole thing manageable for me - it's gotten pretty unwieldy!

-----------------------

Omake Writer Instructions:

There are four fields you need to fill out.

Omake Link, which is just a link to your first omake for the turn. This makes it easier for me to read them as I do the update - without this it's tough to know off the bat which omake were written this turn, and to properly

Requested Bonus, which is your requested bonus for your omake. You can leave it up to me if you like. You can see more info in the Good Seed infopost here.

Cultivation Aims. For those following unorthodox paths - higher than 9th Heavenstage or later than 7th Dao Pillar paths. Please put in what you are aiming for before you break through. I have left it as 'default'. If you do not edit it, I'll go with that.

Turn Notes - Do you want to do something specific? Enter a Secret Realm? Help the Clan out in some way? If you have something specific you want to accomplish on this turn, put it in turn notes so I can adjust your Fate around it.

All other fields are for QM use to record character information to properly run the flow of the game.

Bees are still early, Old Fish is the one who are Eagle Lord
Accumulation from killing enough mortals from two Major powers could've been enough to push one or both Early Nascents to Mid, is what I'm saying. Old Cannibal reached Late by consuming enough mortals first and Saber's Mid Nascent Elder merely pushed him over.

Raiding can also cause losses of troops, even crucial troops if we roll particularly poorly. Better to have a more stable stream of income. Furthermore, why would an enemy Nascent come to the desert? That would be an obvious trap.
If it's an obvious trap, then good. No risk of losing them all. Not as good as suckering in a Nascent, but it's nice to have a 'guarantee' of no Nascent intervention. Hitting their Bee Nest and getting lots of money is good.

So, the reason that hunkering down and building up is a losing strategy is because the Great Drunkards and Divine Tunists haven't joined the coalition. Old Cannibal now has enough Nascent power to just roll up to almost any sect and eat their Nascents. He's hit critical mass, with one Late, two Mid, and two Earlies. Any power that has two or fewer Nascents is xp. What would it take to raise both Earlies to Mid? One Mid, two Earlies? That's one turn. And he'll continue to roll, continue to build up. Ma, Quigai, Yu, Yuan, Great Drunkards, Divine Tunists. And those are just the easy fights. And assuming that Old Cannibal won't eventually betray some or all of his fattened disciples to rise to Great Circle. Okay, so we reach the Trials with the most power we've ever had, hooray! With excellent growth potential, even. Then we get rolled because we have, what, one Mid, 4-5 Earlies if we're lucky? No. We've got to insert a stick into Old Cannibal's spokes now. Thin his Mid/Earlies so the other sects can't be casually pushed over.

This isn't a long-sighted three-turn plan. This is a one-turn plan.

[ ] Plan: If Old Cannibal is so predictable, why not bait him?
-[ ] Raiding (Abyssal Bee Sect)
- The financial incentive is secondary. The main objective is to bait an enemy Nascent into the desert to die.
-[ ] Kleisthenes - Tend to Diplomacy (Sorrowful Blacksmiths/SPS) (~5 Purchases) - In this conflict only, we are willing to assist to the hilt, especially against the Abyssal Bee Invasion, if the Wei Princess stands ready to intercept Old Cannibal should he take the bait. SPS cannot afford the pass getting cut off by the rebellion. The desert will serve as an escape route if necessary. In return, we desire the Gravebronze Sword and Shield. We will sweeten the deal with up to 5 Purchases.
-[ ] Manuel - Assist a Faction (Sorrowful Blacksmiths(Righteous)) - Prepare the battlefield. Should Old Cannibal take the bait, should Old Altar pursue the Wei Princess into the desert, be ready and make them regret it. The Sorrowful Blacksmiths battlefield is an excellent place for a battle. The defenses are hard, the qi is thin, and Old Cannibal can't pursue an escape into the desert. The information we collect on the Sorrowful Blacksmiths' defenses will not hurt, either.
[X] The Underworld Devil Fortress (Major Purchase - costs 3 Purchases) -We cannot afford to leave the Underworld Spirit Palace unfortified. We have destroyed its defenses, it is the juiciest target this side of the region, and we cannot spare a Nascent to live in it.
-[X] Jingshen wealth - Complete Control
-[X] Jingshen wealth - The Blood of Silver (20 Purchases)

Should a Nascent take the bait and follow us into the desert, good. One less that OC can use to easily tip over a sect.
Should OC take the bait, good, the Wei Princess will be waiting. We'll trim the underlings while she beats up Old Cannibal. Should Altar Lord seize the opportunity, well, SPS couldn't afford to let the pass get cut off anyway, and Old Cannibal's inability to enter the desert will be tactically invaluable with Nascent flight speeds. We'll have done what we could to weight the fight in our direction. And if the traps are too obvious? Also good. We'll have taken out an enemy Nascent that would likely join Old Cannibal, gotten information on SB's defenses, secured the pass, and gotten Kleisthenes to Peak Early with limited casualties.

Our Nascents will be busy busy busy in the West, we will be leaving the USP relatively undefended. It's worth, what, half the wealth in the desert? We can't risk not fortifying it. Old Cannibal has enough Nascents to spare to poke at it while the defenses are down, let alone all the Nascents who suddenly don't have a home anymore.

The final thought I want to emphasize is that we don't have time to build up. Old Cannibal has reached Critical Mass.

Old Cannibal had also been Mid Nascent since before the start of the game.

Anywho, time to proceed with drafting a plan to be voted on when the moratorium ends in a few hours or so.

[] Plan For Hire
-[] Dispatch Forces to Strength Purity in line with their request for aid. Maximum possible dispatch for as much wealth as can be feasibly paid to us in exchange.
--[] "It almost seems strange, to endlessly send our Legions out to war on the Plains when previously we shunned them to focus on our enemies in the desert. But yet it is not. For we have slain our foes and taken the desert for ourselves, and Strength Purity offers to pay us well, increasing out strength. For though we have slain one of our enemies...Yet still one remains. Waiting to the West for his time to strike at us in a great wave of blood. Let the Clan grow strong and disciplined at the expense of our friends in the Blood Defiance Pact."
-[] Economic Activity - Carve arrays, scribe useful cultivation techniques onto scrolls, hunt down useful opportunities that might be dangerous to a Core Formation Elder. Make some money for the Clan. This earns you one purchase.
--[] "The desert is a hungry thing, as ever. Now most of all does that become apparent as the Clan seeks to consume it whole once and for all, digesting and making it our strength. Though the wealth of Jingshen is indeed staggering, it is not enough to feed our ambitions. So we shall find more wealth to contribute to the feast before us."
-[] Diplomatic Outreach (Sorrowful Blacksmiths) - They appear to have a problem with a Blood Path rebel at the level of Nascent Soul. One newly ascended to Mid Nascent, locked away in the mountains in fact. Finding things in the Turtlebone Mountain Range and killing Nascent Soul crafters, both of these are things you can do for them. For the right price.
--[] "A wise man once said that if you are good at something, never do it for free. Or was that a scoundrel? No matter, there remains a great number of Clan vaults hidden in the mountains beyond our casual reach. In exchange for the slaying of the fallen "Hammer Strikes Anvil Ten Thousand Times Righteously" the Sorrowful Blacksmiths are to assist our Elders with the opening of several such vaults in search of more strength to face this coming Great Era. At the very least, there is one that is most urgently necessary - the Gravebone Panoply we have on record, to better assist the Second Elder in facing her various Trials to come in this chaotic period ahead of us."
-[] The Underworld Devil Fortress (Major Purchase - costs 3 Purchases)
-[] Assault Gravity Itself (Major Purchase - costs 2 Purchases)
-[] Complete Control
-[] The Blood of Silver (20 Purchases)
-[] The Millennium Oasis Formation (5 Purchases)

There we go. Pretty straight forward. Acquire two Wealth, secure the Oasis Formation (10% QC and 5% FE scaling upwards permanently), the Blood of Silver (1/4 of all Core Formations get a three Small Realm Boost as soon as they break through), Assaulting Gravity Itself (More money saved which in turn furthers Cultivator Growth), Complete Control (Secures the entirety of Jingshen Wealth for ourselves, and also gains us a boost in numbers for the Blood of Silver infusions) and finally...

The Underworld Devil Fortress.

Which serves as not only a secondary redoubt, but also serves as a growth multiplier that feeds into the various other population boosts outlined in the other options.

Diplomacy with Kleisthenes gives us a possible in to another 10 Purchase investment (The Sword and Spear) as well as additional possible Clan Vaults and or Legacies in the future, guaranteed by the Sorrowful Blacksmiths while theyre at their literal weakest and most isolated.

Nothing says we cant just roll them over after we have the desert more tied down and nab another Nascent Soul either.

Tribulation Treasures arent really needed. The batch we currently have will all be online in time for Turn 15, so we'll be able to choose to have someone else break through in time for the trials themselves or immediately afterwards to keep our holdings under control.

For the Technique Palace, i'm going to push for tightening our belts as much as possible to try and secure a windfall that will let us repair it - at least the FE levels - in time for Turn 15 as well.

That just means we'd be leaving the opportunities presented by the Rail Cannons and the Heart-Realm alone on the table. But with everything else taken into account...I'd say its still a hell of a plan that lets us play things as greedy as possible given the tumultous nature of things right now. And if things go really well?

Manuel might get additional contracts for assassinating other Demonic Nascent Souls, which will further line our pockets with windfalls to maybe, potentially, afford opening that Secret Realm after all.

Edit: *Glances at above post*

You may accuse me of "turtling" whenever you're ready :V

Edit2: Removed the x's from the brackets of my own plan. Its only a few more hours to wait anyway

You might want to confirm with Occi whether this counts as providing Purchase income for this turn, because mechanically this counts as "Building Bridges" not "Economic Activity".

I feel like this is a bad idea for a few reasons. For one, we're raiding a power with 5 Nascent Souls and not deploying any of our own to cover our raiders. We're basically sending them to die here.

The previous objection I got was that there's no way a Nascent would follow us into the desert, because it would be too obvious a trap.

But honestly? Yeah. If we can bait a Nascent into our clutches, it's worth every last person we send to die there. The top priority is luring one into the desert, second priority is getting money. So we'd be sending them in a shallow, not deep raid, very close to the desert border.

Edit: I want to solidify the case that the Wei Princess will back us up. SPS cannot afford to lose the pass. That's a death sentence when they're surrounded. They need the stones to keep flowing to keep their allies afloat. And we're bribing them and the blacksmiths with 5 Purchases, but that's small potatoes compared to losing the pass.

If is the key word, I do not expect that to succeed at all. For one, why would a Nascent risk themselves to take on non-Nascents? They're way better off chilling on their side of the border and killing everyone we send with impunity.

Sure, if they're just waiting there right where our raiders decide to raid, that's going to suck. But luring them to the edge of the desert is almost as good, since then our Nascent can attack them, then step back across the border to escape Old Cannibal's wrath. Possibly blowing rasperries. Also, we specifically picked Sheng Yu because of his 'drastic increase in the effectiveness of raids.'

For this to work, there are so many things that need to go right and so many screw ups OC needs to make. For one, OC can absolutely make this a trap for our Nascent's if he felt like it. For two, Nascent's are fast, they can respond far before our Legions can run away unless they're raiding villages of literally no importance. For three, literally none of our Nascent's are anywhere near the Abyssal Bees in this plan. Both of them are dealing with an entirely different sect. How would we threaten a Nascent Soul without them?

Took into account the need to specify which Nascent took which action, and edited accordingly. Still waiting on confirmation for whether or not my chosen Clan Focus is an illegal write-in, but if it turns out to be the case then I'll adjust it then for something that will serve the same purpose.

Untrue. Both our Nascents would be right next door. Manuel specifically could be setting up traps in the desert.

How would Old Cannibal make our raid a trap for our Nascents? We get to decide where and when to attack, not them. Two, again. Flight speed and the desert would be right there. Nascent fights are highly mobile. If the fight is literally unwinnable, Manuel can retreat, then the fight becomes winnable. Three, I don't think you can argue that it's too dumb to raid and also argue that Old Cannibal would be waiting for our raid.

Where and what we're raiding would be up to Sheng Yu, the drastically effective Raid Expert.

Every Nascent we drag away from the battlefield is a Nascent not actively eating other sects and rising tiers. OC requires a certain number of Nascents to easily beat sects. It's best if he needs to use a modicum of strategy.

Finally, if we Raid now, that means that he'll have to station a Nascent next to the desert so we don't just do it again next turn. Each flank he has to guard lowers his leveling speed.

What land route do you see this hypothetical raid of yours taking, exactly?

There's only two: The one through the Devil Bees heartlands to the south, and the Colossus Footstep Path which opens directly into the heartland of the Strength Purity Sect, and from there requires navigating through their lands just to head south into RP held territory. Which is then a further journey south just to get into the parts of the Verdant South held by Old Cannibal and his faction.

Both of these routes present insurmountable problems for your entire plan.

1. It's because OC is good at what he does, not to mention he has treasures of his own.
2. By right there do you mean literally the diameter of the Earth away? That is far outside of reasonable reinforcement range without being spotted, which Mannuel absolutely would be if he just dropped what he was doing. If OC doesn't have spies in the Blacksmiths, he's an idiot.
3. It's dumb to raid because it is absolutely easy for OC to deal with our raids.
4. Sheng is good, he is not can deal with a Nascent alone good.

Plan For Hire does everything I hoped for and I see no issues whatsoever in it, but I nevertheless feel compelled to offer a radical alternative out of principle.

[X] Plan Maximum Consolidation
-[X] Write-in (Clan + Kleisthenes): Large-Scale Recruitment.
--[X] Vassal autonomy was cute when our influence was contested, but times change. Every large city in the Desert is getting a legion garrison, sign-up rewards are doubled, including pieces of Southlands for families and clans looking to convert wholesale, propaganda everywhere all day every day. Klei will pressure prominent individuals and groups to lead by example, parade new Silvers around and suppress discontent.
-[X] Manuel - Headhunting.
--[X] Sneak around amongst our immediate neighbours (Yuan, Qiguai, Blacksmith, Magic Oak), identify promising seeds and offer them a chance to roll dice for a bloodline with rank-defying punching power in a rebellion-free land that is stupid rich now. Obviously, erase their memories of the offer if they refuse.
-[X] The Underworld Devil Fortress (Major Purchase - costs 3 Purchases)
-[X] Complete Control
-[X] The Blood of Silver (20 Purchases)
-[X] The Millennium Oasis Formation (5 Purchases)
