New Good Seed and Omake Rule Updates
Good Seed and Omake Spreadsheet Rules:

Firstly, if you have questions about Good Seeds and the like please read here. If that doesn't answer your question please ping me in thread, or on Discord.

If you write a new Good Seed, or write an omake, please update the spreadsheet if you have access.

If you do not have access, please ping a collaborator (Swordomatic, Alectai, Quest, TehChron, Insane-Not-Crazy, Humbaba, ReaderOfFate, Kaboomatic, no., BungieONI) letting them know what you want and they will update the spreadsheet here. To gain access, you will need a gmail account of some kind. Throwaway emails are fine (I'm using one for the spreadsheet), but to gain access it's as simple as sending me either your email via PM, via DM in Discord, or just in Discord's #spreadsheet-requests channel.

This is mandatory. If a Good Seed does not record their omake by pinging collabs (or just requesting access and editing things themselves - this is the preferred option), I won't give out awards. If a new Good Seed is not recorded here, they won't advance. By doing this it makes the whole thing manageable for me - it's gotten pretty unwieldy!

Omake Writer Instructions:

There are four fields you need to fill out.

Omake Link, which is just a link to your first omake for the turn. This makes it easier for me to read them as I do the update - without this it's tough to know off the bat which omake were written this turn, and to properly

Requested Bonus, which is your requested bonus for your omake. You can leave it up to me if you like. You can see more info in the Good Seed infopost here.

Cultivation Aims. For those following unorthodox paths - higher than 9th Heavenstage or later than 7th Dao Pillar paths. Please put in what you are aiming for before you break through. I have left it as 'default'. If you do not edit it, I'll go with that.

Turn Notes - Do you want to do something specific? Enter a Secret Realm? Help the Clan out in some way? If you have something specific you want to accomplish on this turn, put it in turn notes so I can adjust your Fate around it.

All other fields are for QM use to record character information to properly run the flow of the game.

I think that what all of us are planning.
I mean even before he told us about all the trouble this turn, I was going to write a training trip to the soup sect, Seed is poison expert, cooking seems like a good skill to work towards, but anyways parents were going to give short range teleport talisman to save life

edit: we're at page 42, let the universe give us the perfect answer to fix our fates

Year 40 - Scattered, some seeds die. Others grow. One cannot weep over the fields. [GOOD SEED REPORT]
I think I've got this all correct. If I've missed a bonus or a Good Seed, please DM with your Seed and let me know! I'll get it done ASAP.

-----------

Acis Drivas - 1st to 4th Heavenstage. Fought bandits, kept in formation. No notable accomplishments, kept slacking off at times to collect herbs.

Augustus Servius - 1st to 7th Heavenstage (equivalent). Attacked. Crippled, falling to 5th Heavenstage after losing an arm. Future prospects difficult.

Achille Adephos. Reached 9th Heavenstage. Was ready to break through to Foundation Building, but was building a new array, and was attacked by bandits mid-construction. It collapsed on him, wounding him badly. He was comatose, and was estimated to spend most of the next 20 years recovering. Originally estimated 40 years to recover wounds fully. However, the Adephos branch of the Clan spent wildly on him, and managed to heal him to a degree. He is merely badly wounded, and will spend only 20 years to recover from his wounds fully.

Amaranth Castellanos - Ordinary cultivation for the most part, but managed to participate in the slaying of a Core Formation bandit. While only in a support role to provide Qi to a Clan Core Formation expert, the kill sprayed him with Core Formation blood that his constitution absorbed, precipitating a massive jump in cultivation.

Reached 9th Heavenstage in a single step, though his cultivation is unsteady and he is unable to break through.

Ambrus Nike (Sorry!) - Horrifying Fate. Badly wounded, losing an eye and an ear, with extensive scarring making up one half of his face. Pure luck saved his life, as he and both Aretaphilia Myia were sent on a mission, and ambushed by a Core Formation Cannibal. They together discovered a mystical mirror, and were able to escape, Ambrus escaping after being wounded as Aretaphilia lead the Core Formation elder away. Over the following twenty years managed to regain his 6th Heavenstage cultivation, after falling back to 2nd Heavenstage due to the severity of his wounds.

Aretaphila Myia - Lifesaving Treasure gained. Lost in the same turn! Chased by a Core Formation Cannibal under the command of Child Corpse Gulper, another Myia having offended him. Aretaphilia found a treasure in a cave, and was able to use a mystical mirror to detect and teleport away from this Cannibal Elder. She spent nearly 10 years being chased, dropping a cultivation realm and only regaining it after she was rescued by a Core Formation elder coming to save her. The mirror itself shattered in the course of saving her life. Avoided wounds or crippling, however.

Aristoteles 'Aris' Kalokagathos - Ordinary progress. Advanced to 5th Heavenstage. No encounters of note.

Aurelia Xu - bottlenecked badly, unable to advance. No notable encounters, mainly assigned to bandit hunting missions.

Chelios Apion - Chelios Appion took a safe mission to gather Spirit Herbs in the borders near the Devil Bee Sect. Before he knew it, a Devil Bee-riding Foundation Building expert flew over, taking his life in a single blow. [DEAD]

Damien Silver -
Reached 8th Heavenstage, slew a Spirit Scorpion in the 7th Heavenstage just before breaking through with a powerful sword technique.

Demetrius Ceres - Slew a Spirit Pine Tree Ghost, gaining absurd benefits. The Devilpine Sap allows him to absorb attacks well above his level when coated with it, allowing him to absorb blows from even Foundation Building experts temporarily. The spirit of his grandmother looks down up on him proudly. Went from 1st Heavenstage to 6th.

Fierce Fang - Spent all his time focused on bodily cultivation, managed to find an old manual on the Deep Sea Starfish Body, allowing him to regenerate terrible wounds mid-battle. Fights one stage above his Heavenstage. However, he spent so long practicing this he did not advance his cultivation at all. Remains at 4th Heavenstage.

Hektor Sarantapechos - His mother spent no effort healing his wounds with valuable salves, and he showed off his talent - as well as the wealth of one of the clan's young masters. He is one step away from advancing into Foundation Building, unless he chooses to advance an unorthodox path to the 10th Heavenstage. @Enigma - Choose between Foundation Building and 10th Heavenstage

Ilias Barallis
- Or: How one man cannot catch a break. Illias continued his spying, but despite ordinary luck - at least not being caught again - found his meridians had been badly damaged by the torture. Despite diligently cultivating, he remains at the 3rd Heavenstage and is finding it incredibly difficult to advance.

Lihua Kokkinos. Cultivated diligently, reaching the 7th Heavenstage. A true talent, though did not excel on any missions she was sent on. Easily advancing Realms, but finding it difficult to properly serve the Clan.

Lin Fan - Managed to advance to the Fifth Heavenstage. His great luck, however, was in finding a Bone Tendon Renewal Elixir, allowing him to regrow his maimed hand. His path has become clearer.

Magnus Centenius - Truly excellent Fate. Managed to create a work of great genius. Advances in his Bacterial Poison have allowed him to kill early Foundation Building experts if he catches them by surprise, and even drastically weaken late Foundation Building experts in the same. Such a weapon is admired by the clan, and Magnus is given the resources he needs to advance to the 9th Heavenstage, and does so with ease.

Minerva Bardina - Or: She can't keep getting away with it!

Bottlenecked at the 8th Heavenstage at first, but once again fought an expert in the Foundation Building Realm. A Late Foundation Building Cannibal was disabled and forced to retreat by the poisons of young Minerva, allowing her to trap and kill an entire raiding group of thirty Qi Condensation Cannibals. This victory has cemented her name as one of the great young talents of the clan. With the sheer number of Contribution Points coming her way, she was rapidly able to advance into the 9th Heavenstage at first, and now stands just a half-step away from Foundation Buiding.

Ninth Prince - More ordinary progress, though still excellent compared to many of his peers. He broke through to the 10th Heavenstage of Qi Condensation, but found himself wounded by a Foundation Building expert - a servant of the earlier Core Formation expert he managed to chase off. This will slow his cultivation for some time.

Peta Condos and Wajo - Bottlenecked badly at 8th Heavenstage. No notable events.

Rina Callista - Favored by the Heavens? Probably not, but certainly favored by the Clan. With the Callista branch of the Clan having secured an upcoming spot on the Council of Elders, much of their largesse went to raising young Rina. Her bloodline was of immense purity, and they found it easier to secure endless resources for her, as well as using some of their pull to ensure she was given missions designed precisely to optimize her personal growth. @Alectai Choose between Foundation Building and 10th Heavenstage

Savvas Nicolidis
- Ordinary, almost unremarkable. Reached the 4th Heavenstage, ordinary progress. No great deeds, but no misfortunes.

Telios Treces - Reached 9th Heavenstage, but was sent to fight in a competition with the Hong Xuan Clan as part of a competition. Badly wounded by a younger master in the 8th Heavenstage, representing the Golden Devil Clan quite poorly. Wounds will take 20 years to fully heal.

Tie Jin - Ordinary cultivation, reached 6th Heavenstage. Still struggling with the integration of his bloodlines.

Wei Feng - Disaster in cultivation, thoroughly without talent. Merely made it to the 2nd Heavenstage. However, this is due to his personal choices perhaps - spent far too much time assisting villagers and unfortunates without hope of return for himself, even outside of Contribution Point Missions. Excellent behaviour the Clan hopes to encourage. Rewarded with a Soul-Filing Rasp, allowing him to hide himself from anyone in Qi Condensation, disguising himself as a mortal.

Xiao Yi - Incredible speed. Broke through to the 9th Heavenstage of Qi Condensation almost casually, advancing without limit. What was considered to be a poor seed may be one of our best. Rescued an old man who was secretly a Clan Foundation Building Expert acting as a weak old man while on a spying mission - in order to reward good behaviour among juniors. Diverted Xiao Yi to a nearby tree, a branch of which can serve as an excellent Wood Fairy Lance, empowering strikes from horseback.

Yan - Moderate progress, reaching the 7th Heavenstage. Reached a new level of fighting - one of the most skilled in his level, but able to somehow use his luck manipulation along with excellent skill to fight those who are a full Heavenstage above him - is undefeatable by those under the 9th Heavenstage.

Zhousi Dun - Only reached the 5th Heavenstage, due to being wounded. Managed to save an entire town from an enraged Sandstorm Desert Wasp swarm, rescuing over twenty thousand people, assisting in evacuations and fighting the Wasps until the town could be saved.

----------

And for those I missed the first time around...

Dmitry Kascheev - Bottlenecked, remaining in the 5th Heavenstage. Difficulty in opening meridians. Used talisman arts to help wake up a sleeping Behemoth Lizard King that had gone to sleep around a town's only oasis, saving the town from a slow and certain doom. The Lizard King on awakening had shed his skin, allowing Dmitry to write powerful talismans on the shed Spiritual Skin. Such talismans are quite powerful, allowing him to face enemies in the 8th Heavenstage for some time.

As an aside, I've enjoyed writing some great cultivation rolls (such as Hektor, Rina, and Achille) not as incredible talents, but just the superpower of having rich parents. The dice in places have seemed very appropriate.

He broke through to the 10th Heavenstage of Qi Condensation, but found himself wounded by a Foundation Building expert - a servant of the earlier Core Formation expert he managed to chase off. Mildly unfortunate, but still much better than I was expecting
Looks like this turn's omake is gonna be more about administrating his town/raising some spirit snakes than actually adventuring
Actually, did this take into account the cultivation speed boost? I may or may not have forgotten to ask for anything for my turn 1 omake, so I figured I could use that for a cultivation speed boost for turn 2

Holy shit. He was just in the first Heavenstage, I never expected this. Time to stabilize.

Well, this is deffo gonna be fun to write.

I was so scared, and now I'm one step from foundation with a strong poison,

Chelios you will be missed

Poison buddy doing well this turn. Seriously this girl is scary. I think my seed might be in love

I'm alright with this didn't cultivate at all but got mid battle healing and a stage punch upper.

No mention of his life saving treasure as it is noted to be Aretaphilia Myia's in her report. did you not count his bonus or is it just not noted as "his" for purposes of narrative. Also Ambrus isn't noted in Aretaphilia Myia's report. Shouldn't it at least be noted that she saved his life?

but nah Ambrus will bounce back. Def gonna give him a dao of caution or prohpecy after his premonition from my omake turned out to be spookily accurate

Yes. 9th to 10th is normally a 2-turn affair. The Ninth Prince had a solid cultivation roll, and his bonus (I checked your Good Seed character page and saw it there) got him over the edge to 10th Heavenstage.

Narratively, the treasure itself was used up (which I need to edit in, whoops!). I just thought it was an interesting plot hook to have two characters have a single Treasure save their life. Mechanically, nobody has missed out on anything. There are no Lifesaving Treasures remaining, and you're both still alive.

Achille Adephos. Reached 9th Heavenstage. Was ready to break through to Foundation Building, but was building a new array, and was attacked by bandits mid-construction. So glad I decided to take the safe option and ask for a fate boost instead of assuming I was lucky and going for more cultivation. I think from now on I will do my best to elongate poor Achilles lifespan until he is inevitably struck down by RNGesus.

I am more than fine with this and I am really happy with the "is undefeatable by those under the 9th Heavenstage" line.

Rich kid lyfe 4 the win! But anyway, I'll take foundation building for Hector and write up an omake when I get home. I assume the tribulations are the general lightning bolts that try to shatter your will and faith and stuff? Or is there more to it?

Pretty much. Foundation Building is where you choose your first Dao-Pillar, something you believe in strongly enough to resist Heaven trying to destroy it. Tribulation attempts to shatter your Pillar. Physically this looks like lightning shooting at your body, metaphysically it's magical lightning constantly introducing doubt into your mind. If you can't resist the doubt, you don't break through and suffer terrible backlash.

Also, for those reaching Foundation Building this turn, I forgot to introduce the Tribulation mechanic which would tell you what your chances of a breakthrough are and cause you to have to build up strength to try and break through.

You will be benefiting from my mistake, and may enter Foundation Building sans Tribulation rolls, Lifesaving Treasures, etc, etc - unlike everyone from next turn onwards.

This is manifestly and grossly unfair to those who follow after you, but the Heavens aren't fair either!

Lihua Kokkinos. Cultivated diligently, reaching the 7th Heavenstage. A true talent, though did not excel on any missions she was sent on. Easily advancing Realms, but finding it difficult to properly serve the Clan.
Wow, that was a quick ascent, from fresh seed to 7th stage right away.
...probably should invest in some lifesaving treasures lol.
The dice give and that means the dice will take.
