Hiding From Unstable Spirits (Date a Live/Tsukihime)[SI](Spoilers)

It has really sunk into Alaya that he's the big brother (temp.) to all of the Spirits.

The brother who plays pranks on them and (almost) willingly gets beaten up as payback.
(Kotori)
The brother that understands their insecurities and devises solutions to them.
(Tohka and Yoshino)
The brother that is well-meaning and wants his siblings to have a happy future ahead of them.
(Shidou)

He's also the brother that might be all smiles at first, but godforbid if you piss him off since he'll do anything to make your day a lot worse. (Kurumi and Origami)

Unfortunately for him, Kurumi is now the sister that requires getting bonked frequently due to being a cheeky brat to her brother, and often crashes at his place for food and comfy times.
And she's a triplet (for) now. :D

She's also clearly the "sister" that is thirsty for her "big brother," but he's internalized the whole sibling relationship thing a bit too well and become dense as a block of lead towards her. Hopefully, something can get it through his thick skull that the need for frequent bonking is due to a critical lack of frequent banging, if you know what I mean.

@JadeKaiser
I'd imply that, but this isn't QQ, and I don't want any of us (the author included) to get bonked by the mods.
So I just imagined her to be require frequent BIG BROTHER CHOPS (non-lethal) to the head. :)

Firstly, Alaya doesn't have a complete copy of Avalon within him, nor his imagination be THAT good enough to imagine it, so that's impossible.
The irony is that, being a True Ancestor and thus a Nature Spirit and Transcendent Kind, aka a type of Fairy, Al could create something like Avalon with enough skill and knowledge.

He'd need to learn a lot, fairy letters at the very least, but creating Divine Constructs like Arondight, Avalon and Excalibur is theoretically within the capabilities of a True Ancestor. It might even be technically easier to do so in the Date a Live World, as it has no will of its own (other than, perhaps, Mio, seeing as she was apparently created by gathering all the World's mana in a single location) and thus is much easier to control for arbitrary reasons than Gaia.

I also see that the SS AlayaxKurumi is steaming straight for the harbor entrance.

This chapter was amazing and I'm so hyped for the upcoming interludes. I'm fully hoping for some Frieza/Cell/Alucard quotes in his upcoming play date with Ellen (hopefully some JoJo references in there too). Anyways, great chapter, I can totally see Al walking around the Fraxinus with the classic "I know something you don't" smirk everywhere.
I wonder if he can bait Ellen into engaging in a 'no, I am behind YOU' contest. :V

Aye, that's Kurumi for ya. Though I am unsure how to proceed with her, as I'm not totally writing it off that Kurumi might develop a deeper affection for Al that goes beyond her usual teasing.
Also, there were three clones and the original in this chapter(at least I think?).
She's also clearly the "sister" that is thirsty for her "big brother," but he's internalized the whole sibling relationship thing a bit too well and become dense as a block of lead towards her.
Self-defense mechanism against the Ara Ara psycho, nothing out of the ordinary here.

That's is something I was thinking a lot about, where I can tell that Al could be able to create some kind of Divine Construct level item he would probably to prob deeply into the planet for the mana for it.
Though I thought the Fairy letters were simply a sign that those weapons were not crafted by humans, but I'm not sure if they hold any power in themselves.
But still, something on the scale of Excalibur would be beyond Al to creat on his own, even if Fou would share the memories he had of the original(I'm assuming that Fou was with Merlin for a long time and spend it around some of the knights of the round).
I also see that the SS AlayaxKurumi is steaming straight for the harbor entrance.
Maybe, still not decided on any ships with the Spirits at least.
I wonder if he can bait Ellen into engaging in a 'no, I am behind YOU' contest.
Well... he can be faster than her, also with his Presence Concealment Marble, he can pretty much stalk her stalking others...

Just got the free time for a quick read and glad to say it's season 2 nao!!!

Kurumi became that annoying gal you bunk with and she's a free loader!
.
.
.
Now that I mention it, does even Kurumi have a job?

Also wonder what's Kurumi or the other's reaction in one of the Counter Guardians... 'acomplishment' namely Pompeii and Atlantis...

Question: the connection of Merlin with Fou still working? why is it said that Merlin can watch the world, out of his prison, through him.
If so, he must be having a great time with Al's trolling.
Zelretch should be very proud.
Uhhh... just dropping in my opinion but dunno if the familiar contract still works in a parallel world or would the 'way' Al came to be in the Nasuverse then to be sent to DaLverse still works or does the trick but Merlin sees everything in the 'present' so he might already see Al's antics if Avalon's finicky nature and his Clairvoyance could make him see in DaLverse.

that she was lucky that it was me who was sent instead of the usual agent who would simply destroy the whole city if the threat was there.
Lol the misunderstanding in this part is crazy lol.

Also some TYPO's and suggestions I wanna point out and some... commentaries cause I have some cheer to share today.
and that is one thing I can be grateful for in this situation as the girl's teasing is quite unbearable.
So Al can't take the teasing if he's in the other end lol.
What are you making for breakfast~
... I dunno Bob but with that tone I think she's more of a wife than a sister...
answer with an annoyed tone and ignore the pouting looks that the clones sports in their pretty faces.
Dunno if it's weird to be looked at with an unerving 'triplets' aside from their pretty cute or something like that, though as said that's kinda weird.
Sighing, I went straight towards the kitchen
... poor guy and most importantly... poor wallet.
when she demanded to know why Mio wasn't stopped or targeted earlier
"There's multiple reasons why a Counter Guardian was not sent already."

"What reasons?"

"She's absolutely stunning that we kinda needs to have multiple albums of her looks before we krump her."

"..."

Tsk, why are they being so noisy already? Isn't he free today?
Can I ask what's the meaning of the orange marked one? Cause it seems Shido is on sale in certain periods of time.
An uncomfortable silence fills the room. Then slowly, Kotori turns her head towards me who just revealed himself with an absolutely emotionless look, as her bright red eyes meet my darker ones... We just stare at each other for what felt like an eternity.
Noice prank!!!
She starts trembling as her cheeks turn red and her hands are balled into a pair of fists.
Oh sh#t!!! Firecracker inbound! I repeat! Firecracker inbound!!!
She yells out and jumps off my lap and turns around to face me to send a fist right into my gut that thankfully doesn't hurt much, but surprisingly enough has enough strength to send me over the couch and onto the floor behind it.
Oh perfect hit!!!

Though in the marked orange one, shrieks out could be another suggestion but that's on the level of a freaked out gal screaming infront of you so... yeah I think shouting or yelling has a more... 'anime' flair in it.
I said smugly while still lying on the ground and looking up to the girl who's standing imperiously in an aggressive pose on the couch
Nice comback Al! Now pick yer guts out of the floor with that punch she just did re-arrange it ya know.
most likely contemplating what 'suffering' she would give me in return to my 'perversion'.
Redheads, gotta watch out on their comebacks.
Oh, dear, who would have thought that both of you have a very 'intimate' way of greeting each other good morning~.
Lol such an anime cliche...
She feels like... lacking in a sense... maybe she doesn't have her Realizer gear
Wait 10 minutes!? I dunno but that's clearly a yan and stalker combo right there.
I sighed and focus my eyes on Shido and giving him a gentle smile
Listen to the big brother this time Shido!
pulling the boy into whispering range while noting the annoyed glare I received from the hiding Origami
Sounds like a cat to me... an unruffled cat.
So, are you ready for tomorrow's school trip, Tohka
Check your essentials and better watch out from weird strangers out there... cause I might search a place to hide the body of the arsehole.
Ara, you're earlier than I expected onii-chan
I really wanna point out how lewd this is and ... 'incestuous'.

I wanna suggest if it would be good to put a Nyah instead than her typical voice tick cause she has...
giggling girl who somehow acquired a pair of cat ears and a tail.
that...

Which brings the question what type of cat she is sporting in and if it's a product of her powers or... certain type of 'toys' especially that tail...

'Ara Ara~'; literally the most terrifying thing any male character in a harem anime will ever hear.

Though I thought the Fairy letters were simply a sign that those weapons were not crafted by humans, but I'm not sure if they hold any power in themselves.
It's unclear. That is certainly a reason why fairy letters were put on fairy-made Divine Constructs, but whether they actually do anything or not is unknown, mostly because no-one has the faintest clue what fairy letters actually mean.

Given that various ancient languages have been demonstrated to have powerful magical applications (Scáthach's Primordial Runes spring to mind) it seems likely that fairy letters can be used to do stuff, whether they are functional and not decorative on known Divine Constructs though? *Shrug*

Unfortunately the fairies did... something which basically erased all knowledge of their existence, to the point that literally the only thing known about the Age of Fairies is that it was a thing and that it has ended by the modern era.

What do fairy letters mean? What happened in the Age of Fairies? Why is Avalon the way it is? Where did the fairies go if they're not in Avalon? To these questions and more, nobody has the faintest clue what the answers are.

But still, something on the scale of Excalibur would be beyond Al to creat on his own, even if Fou would share the memories he had of the original(I'm assuming that Fou was with Merlin for a long time and spend it around some of the knights of the round).
Well, I mean, theoretically he has the capacity to make something like Excalibur, assuming he possessed the correct skills and materials.

But, there's no-one to teach him such skills, and one of the primary materials needed to make an Excalibur is the hope of all mankind for a brighter future, good fucking luck figuring out how to acquire that as an actual metaphysical item that can be forged into a sword. And that's just the start.

I'd say if he dedicated his entire existence to figuring out how to recreate the necessary techniques to forge Excalibur and completely abandoned all morality regarding the costs of experimentation, Al might have as much as a 50/50 chance of creating something like Excalibur after 10 - 20 thousand years of constant effort. If he got really lucky he might even not accidentally the planet in the process.

In short; possible in theory, in practice? Not so much.

e: Also, I believe Fou didn't end up with Merlin until after the dickwizard got stuck in Avalon, which was after he left Artoria due to the Lady of the Lake hunting him for reasons unknown, but probably related to dickwizardry. So Fou wouldn't have been around personally for Merlin's Grand Adventures with the Knights of the Round Table, though Merlin may well have told Fou a lot about that period with illusions and the like.

Maybe, still not decided on any ships with the Spirits at least.
Kurumi seems to have decided for you. :V

Well... he can be faster than her, also with his Presence Concealment Marble, he can pretty much stalk her stalking others...
The trick is to get her to play the game and then drive her insane by using illusions, so while she's playing 'no I am behind YOU' Al is just sitting off to the side lying on a beach chair and sipping a fruity drink with an umbrella in it. :V

that...

Which brings the question what type of cat she is sporting in and if it's a product of her powers or... certain type of 'toys' especially that tail...
It's called 'imouto mahō'

It's an expression. Being "free" in this context is being free of plans or obligations, in contrast to being busy or otherwise unavailable.

He was around for Camelot. Fou is Cath Palug, which is a creature that either King Arthur or Sir Kay fought, depending on the legend. In the Fate version, Merlin took him in. Additionally, something like the Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail is implied to have happened, with Fou as the "rabbit" in question. Arturia remains traumatized.

Never let it be said that Nasu lacks culture.

Huh, really? I wonder how I missed that.

That does explain a few parts of FGO though, now that I think about it.

I... don't think so? I'd imagine that she just takes what she wants thanks to her ability to hide in shadows.

Meh, it just means that he has to mug more muggers next time.

Nah, that's just perfectly normal behavior for the kuudere known as Tobichi Origami.
... at least she doesn't have weapons on her this time.
I really wanna point out how lewd this is and ... 'incestuous'.
That's how Kurumi is actually, she is always one step away from teasing into action, and she's utterly shameless about it. Also, it's she who began to call him like this only after she learned how he treated the other Spirits and decided to tease him about it.
Ah I seeI am just weirded it out how the wording did not 'flow' in my head properly.
Yeah, that's because in my langue that flow quite naturally in most sentences, and I brain farted and translated it in such a way.

Robotic Alien Nanotech Spaceships, that were sent by a Robotic Alien Nanotech Dyson Sphere AI named Chaos who literally looks like a flying Eye of Sauron in space:

Interstellar Navigation-Purpose Ultra-Massive Mothership/Celestial Sphere Type Space-Time Fortress Chaos

Oh and Chaos's purpose is to harvest other planetary systems to perpetuate its own existence. (Technically its creators existence, but the creators are all long since extinct, so it's just harvesting for itself now.)

And, of course, said Robotic Alien Nanotech Spaceship-Gods were defeated by the White Titan, Sefar; a Anti-Cell Alien Infomorphic Spaceship sent by the Umbral Star; a Crystalorganic Alien Maybe Dyson Sphere AI named The Velber, which passes through the Milky Way every 14,000 years and harvests all the data on sentient life it can detect each time it rocks on by, by eating said life.

You know the White Titan, Sefar by another name of course: Atilla the Hun.

And that's not even getting into the Mesoamerican Pantheon being descended from alien bacteria that hitched a ride on the Chicxulub Impactor wot killed the non-bird dinosaurs.

Human history nothing, ITS ALIENS ALL THE WAY DOWN BITCHES! :V

If I'm remembering the rest of DAL Season 2's plot correctly, Kurumi would only appear again to Shidou once the Yamai/Miku plots are over... or was that for the next season?
So she could pretty much pester her onii-san until then.

What are the odds of Kurumi's time-bullet working on Alaya?
Because "(mental) time travel" is an outright bullshit tier ability that requires plenty of preparation that is out of Alaya's current skillset... maybe.

Then again, this is a True Ancestor with a still undefined Marble Phantasm, so the chances of twisting reality into his very own pretzel might still be possible?

I... don't think so? I'd imagine that she just takes what she wants thanks to her ability to hide in shadows.
...Sooooo~ basically aside from any known nefarious activities Kurumi did in her stint as a Spirit adding thievery of any property which possibly na#ki*s too now that I think of it...*procedes to pull brain from the gutter and clean it with brain bleach*
*cough*
....Thievery, right....

Al: "Was." And after a moment of silence, he spoke again. "Also, the Greek Gods were aliens, more specifically they were Spaceships."

"Watch out in going to America btw."

"What is it this time!? A mexican wrestling fan that is a Spirit!?"

"...No! I mean that was oddly specific of calling out 'big sis'..."

"W...H...A...T...!"

"Imeantheremightbeasupperalienorganisimsomewherethere,possiblyArea51thatcamefromMercurythatcouldterraformit'ssurroundingareaandcamehereduetoansweringEarth'scallforpurginghumanityforkillingMamaNature *heavy breathing*...."

*FOU!?* (ORT might not be here so why the heck are you dumping it on her the knowledge!?)

[Later:.

"Cause it's fun?"]

"....I'm leaving."
Meh, it just means that he has to mug more muggers next time.
Still wallet is flattened in that moment and a flattened wallet is a sad wallet ya know.
Meanwhile, EMIYA suddenly felt even more cheated by Alaya and cursed his fate.
And Al sneezed.
Mean while in a what if scenario

CG Kiritsugu: "..."
*procedes to gut and shoot down Mio anyway*"

Alaya: "Your fired!"

Not-CG Kiritsugu: "...worth it"
*procedes to his dream of being an 'Ally of Justice
Nah, that's just perfectly normal behavior for the kuudere known as Tobichi Origami.
... at least she doesn't have weapons on her this time.
... Is it weird I'm not freaking out that she might be carrying some heavy ordinance anyway everytime? Especially on 'monitoring' Shido?

Yeah, that's because in my langue that flow quite naturally in most sentences, and I brain farted and translated it in such a way.
Ah tis fine, can understand that even if talking with a different language, regional or even diff countries has their own spin on the language their using.

Must had been freaking hard for XX and her workmates to foight some of the Nasu alien entities.

Anyway now I can't stop thinking whatever civilization EA came from or the Moon Cell is and wanna checks out if they could detect their activity *thinks blankly how many EA I shat in FGO*

I find it hard to explain correctly, but I feel as if I've seen your writing style everywhere, even though it's not you. Loud protagonist, typos here and there, overpowered character who just brings fear to the antagonist, "punishes" the main character though a show of strength, updated more frequently or has a lot of words already written, etc. It's always an OC or SI too.

No insult to you personally, but I've seriously seen dozens of writing styles identical to yours and I'm pretty sure you're not the author. Is it an age thing, a new/old writer thing, or are you some hidden prolific writer with many accounts?

I'm not the only one here seeing this right? Am I crazy? I hope I'm not. Fine story though, this is a unique fic for a pretty niche series (even if it has multiple seasons and movie adaptions)

While I do agree that his work seems pretty similar to others I don't think that's a bad thing. It's fun to read a work that's actually good and has some well done and executed cliches. It's been a long time since I found something that got my blood pumping and I enjoy this as a good read for when I need a burst of nolstalgia from when I first started reading fanfics

I think it's more of an era thing. A lot of people are feeling very powerless right now, so stories where the si is a bit overpowered are a nice bit of escapist fantasy. Done poorly it's a mary sue, but the author has done a good job with Al, and I'm looking forward to seeing where he takes this story

I wouldn't call Al a loud character because I personally dislike ones like that, or did I mess up and subconsciously actually write one like that? I hope I did not, it would be quite embarrassing. I also don't think that Al 'punishes' Shido as he actually does like him very much, if that was someone like Issei from DxD then yeah, I would write Al in a way where he does show a clear superiority and dislike towards the MC.
And sadly English is not my first langue and even when using something to catch them typos will happen.

This is also my first fic ever but I can see why this looks familiar to other writing styles.

And you're not crazy and I honestly appreciate your input, thank you.

Interlude : Reine
Reine Murasme was sitting at her desk inside the Fraxinus med bay her pale blue hair falling a little on her beautiful face while her blue eyes were focused on the monitor in front of her, and from the outside, she looked like it was just another day of her work.

On the inside, however, she was irritated and worried.

The Anomaly.

The self-proclaimed first and only male Spirit that was never recorded nor was he one that she has met before, and since it's her and her true self that are the ones who give out Sephira Crystals to promising girls.

So, why is there a male claiming to be a Spirit and possess an Angel called Samael?

She wanted to dismiss him as a simple fraud, a fake... but what he displayed when facing Kurumi and Origami seemed to confirm that he can't be anything other than a Spirit, or at the very least he clearly isn't a human.

Is he connected with Kurumi and her Angel?

...

No, it couldn't be. Shin reported that Kurumi was utterly terrified of facing the Crimson Prince, or Alaya as he called himself.

A truly odd name, even for someone like that... and isn't it a girl's name in the first place? Maybe... could he possibly be from Neighboring World?

As impossible as it sounds... it could be a possibility however distant it is.

Anyway, ranked as a C class Spirit after the incident with Kurumi by the AST, this wasn't changed even after Shin's date with Kotori where the male Spirit seemingly overpowered the AST member with ease, also it made quite an uproar and a change in the status quo.

After all, even males can be Spirits now.

But that still didn't explain the abilities of his supposed Angel.

He displayed a power quite similar to Haniel, but the Witch was still out there in the world so how?

Then she heard from Kotori that he created a medieval-like castle wall outside their house that was made entirely out of ice and their home was covered in snow for a day.

Zadkiels power of ice and water?

Kotori later said that he is able to create and control flames... so the power of Camael too?

This was absurd, and that's not counting the ability to either teleport or disappear entirely from the world such that not even she was able to sense him. And all of this, without even using an Astral Dress?

Could a Spirit truly control their power in such capacity to not need to manifest their Dress or Angel and hide like one that was already sealed?

And with the problem of the amount of knowledge that Alaya seemed to possess, she decided to find him as Phantom and judge for herself if he is a potential danger or a useful asset.

Though she feels a bit frustrated now that it was he who found her first and approached her before she could even sense him because not even Kurumi is able to hide from her while he can.

And while she didn't expect him to be... this odd, she was tempted to form a small smile on her face as she remembered the way he made her laugh.

Really, claiming to be a big brother, even though she was obviously the older one, still, she can't deny... that she did like the idea.

But, she didn't even get a chance to question him as IT appeared on his shoulder.

FEAR.

And she felt fear for the first time in over 30 years.

How could a being of such a small size cause her to lose composure and make her flee in terror? She is The Spirit of Origin, even if the person known as Reine Murasme is only a clone of the original she knows she still wouldn't stand a chance against it.

When she sensed its power she felt like she could drown in it, as if she would be devoured by the seemingly small Beast that dwarfed her with raw power.

Reine actually shuddered as she watched the footage of Shin and Alaya spending an afternoon together, where the Beast was sitting on the Spirit's shoulder and acting like a normal pet.

Fou, that's what they call it.

Reine shook her head and stopped the video as she contemplated what to do with this situation.

The safest move would be to avoid Alaya since the Beast always accompanies him and to observe, and in time she can devise a way how to deal with it.

"Reine, could you please come to the bridge?" Came the voice of Kotori through the intercom surprising the woman.

Either Shin got himself into trouble or Kotori wants to vent to someone about Alaya, again. The boy seems to have a talent for stressing the young commander a lot for the past few weeks since he arrived.

Sighing, Reine went through the metal corridors of the airship and noted that some of her coworkers seemed a bit agitated, but she dismissed it. Their problems are none of her interests.

So as the gray steel doors to the bridge slide open she only managed to take a few steps inside to only to freeze in where she stood and knew the reason for her colleagues mood.

Because sitting there on the command chair facing her was Kotori with the white Beast in her lap and scratching its ears and standing to her side was Alaya himself.

Reine could barely control herself when looking at the terrifying monster that was being treated like a common pet, blissfully unaware of what kind of crushing power it holds.

"Ah, Reine I'm glad you're here so at least I won't have to deal with him myself." Kotori said with some annoyance in her voice as she pointed at the young brown-haired man dressed in a red hoodie. "This is our newest annoyance that the higher-ups have reluctantly agreed to help us, Alaya meet Reine Murasame our Analysis Officer and-"

"Physics Teacher at Shido's school, I've seen her a few times there." The annoyance in question interrupted Kotori causing Kotori to glare at him.

"Sigh, yes and he will be also joining you on the plane that the school trip has planned to use." Kotori continued and explained it to Reine who was still struggling to keep up her cold and logical act.

What?

"I see..." Reine answered without much emotion, her eyes darting from the Beast to Alaya.

Then unexpectedly Alaya confidently made its way towards Reine and grabbed her hand and shook it.

"Please to meet you, Ms. Reine, I... you are..." She saw a glint of worry in his unnatural red eyes and she began to think that he might have recognized her as Phantom. " Having problems with falling asleep?"

Reine did not know what to say at this and simply nodded.

"Hmm, work, illness, or simply nightmares?" The young man asked her with a small smile and she began to internally scream. "I might be able to help you when we go on the trip, but I make no promises."

How?

Why?

Why is this anomaly trying to be so nice to her? How does he feel so similar from so close?

"Thank you." Reine quietly answered before going back to the med bay.

Just... who are you?

I love how she passes off his power even though while mio could definitely kill him if he's not careful, as a true ancestor he could most likely with planning, prep time and a bit of luck(help from fou) win against the her

Lol Reine's confusion is apt to sum up how weird our SI is.
