Hiding From Unstable Spirits (Date a Live/Tsukihime)[SI](Spoilers)

"I-I am not done yet! You'll pay for this! With Rhongomiant I will-" A wall of flames that surrounded her swiftly cut her off. "How!?"

I then reached past the flames and grabbed her by the throat, and slamming her on the ground, before smirking at her.

"It's called Rhongomyniad, The Lance that Shines to the Ends of the World. And your copy is not but a disgrace to that name." And like that, I grabbed the spear from her hand and broke it in half.
Ow. Honestly, a better result than she would have gotten from any of the Knights. They would not appreciate their King's good name sullied by this idiocy. Merlin would probably just laugh and flip her skirt tho.

Al is getting stronger every day, how long until he presses the F button and derails the canon for good?

The power of the world makes for one hell of a sledgehammer, I'm impressed Al kept himself from maiming her too badly.
Yeah, there's not a whole lot that can deal with being beaten over the head with the mana of an entire planet.

Um, Al? Your Goku Black is showing.
Thing is, Al isn't human. He's a True Ancestor who remembers being human, and that is not the same thing at all.

He doesn't have human instincts, he has True Ancestor instincts. Internally, on a subconscious level, he does not consider himself to be human or think like a human, because he isn't human.

So when he drops the facade of humanity that he likes to wear as a mask, he reveals his true nature, the nature of a potential Ultimate Lifeform; THE Apex Predator of Earth.

I imagine The Knights of Round would have her tongue for that horrible pronunciation.

Some people day Tomato, some people say Tamato, but most people draw the line at Toh-mah-toe-eh.

I sincerely doubt that, having finally escaped Avalon (apparently), Merlin would stop at just flipping her skirt. Especially since Ellen is legal. (Apparently she's 47 what!?)

Merlin would have her back in his shiny new bachelor pad faster than you can say 'half-incubus seduction.'

The Yamai Sister's Are Two, And It Will Be So
So, the Yamai arc is now officially over, there will be some chapters later to build on Al's relations with the girls and maybe even some coffee.
On a different note, anyone thinking that it is possible to break a motherboard by modding Skyrim too hard? Cause that's the reason my PC is dead for over a week...

"And that is all? Oh well, I guess that he wouldn't trust even you with everything..." I frowned as I kept eye contact with Ellen's purple eyes and holding her head by the hair as I sat comfortably on her stomach. "Good, now forget about this conversation ever happening."

"Y-Yes." The blond-haired DEM Wizard replied robotically with a small stutter.

My Mystic Eyes forced her to answer all of my questions about the DEM, the second Spirit, and Isaac.

I am still surprised that I didn't murder her when I learned what they did to Mana and Nia, but that would be a waste of a perfectly useful tool.

Heh, I wish I could be there when she realizes that I put some 'suggestions' in her head, which hopefully will make some things easier to accomplish in the near future.

I closed my eyes, cutting off their influence on Ellen and causing her to go limp in my grip before she quickly began to wake up.

And now it's time to send my little butterfly free.

...

"W-Wha... What happened?" She questioned as her eyes were opening again.

"Morning, you sleepyhead~." I sang at her joyously and stifled a chuckle as her eyes went wide with shock and fear.

"N-No, no..." She whimpered out as her body began to shake as she tried to lift herself from below me.

"Aww, what's the matter, my dear, cute Ellen?" I said teasingly as my hand let go of her hair and went to caress her cheek and smiled at her gently. "Now that you're back, we can continue our little date, correct?"

At that, she screamed in terror and began to swing her left fist at my face, with somewhat predictable results.

It was, however, quite amusing to witness 'The World's Strongest Wizard' acting like a terrified and corned child.

"Ah, why all of this, Ellen? Weren't you supposed to finish me up quickly and then try to capture the other Spirits?" I grabbed her hand and leaned in closer to her face. "Where did all that confidence and pride go?"

I watched as she struggled helplessly, eyes watering and darting around, looking for anything that could bring her salvation.

I know that she's already aware of the fact that she has lost this fight, but her pride won't allow her to admit it. Or is it the fact that she's way too terrified to act rationally?

Then again, what can she do when all of her weapons broken, her right arm seems to be limp, and she's barely able to stay conscious? The feeling of powerlessness must be something she didn't have to suffer for decades now, most likely.

But that didn't matter right now, as I needed for the clearly traumatized woman to conveniently and believably get away from the island, Ratatoskr and me.

But mainly me.

"Ell-" Suddenly, her gear activated, throwing the woman in question into a tree and me backward.

"Well, it looks like you still got some in you." I commented calmly with a smirk as I landed on my knees a few meters away from her.

I watched as the blond Wizard slowly and painfully got on her knees, her eyes keeping their focus on me and shaking in fear when I made a step forward.

"Good, now we can- HEY WAIT A MOMENT!" I shouted as Ellen quickly took to the sky and began flying away from me. "I thought we had something special!"

I watched with a surprised expression as she flew away from the island itself, her figure becoming smaller by the second. And then, I laughed.

"Hahahaha! I wished I had a camera for this moment, but the photographer just bailed on us! Hahaha!" I grabbed my sides from the laughter and the absurdity of this all.

Now, I wonder if she has enough fuel to make it all the way back to Isaac, or will he have to come and fish her out from the ocean?

"Hehe, anyway, I still have some things to finish up here." I cleaned a tear from my eye.

Then, I released all that power I borrowed from the planet an-

"Fuuuu-?!" I went to my knees from the shock and began to breathe heavily. "T-The hell?"

It was as if all of my strength leave me instantly, making me feel weak and vulnerable.

I stayed like this for a few moments, waiting for my breathing to return to normal before I managed to get back on my feet and absorb a little of the island's magical energy back into myself.

"I... I guess I was too greedy with taking and gave back too much, heh?" I shook my head and decided to walk in the direction where I have sensed Shido and the girls before remembering something. "Oh, right. Where did I drop that sniper rifle I looted from the armory of the Arbatel?"

----

"I am so going to murder those three girls, no scrap that, I'm going to turn them into Dead Apostles, consequences are damned." I grumbled as I cleaned the dirt from my cloak. "How did they even dig such a deep hole like that? I thought that it was a joke..."

Three teenage girls dug an 8-meter deep hole that I wasn't able to notice and have fallen into after finding the rifle near the airship.

I still have no idea how I or anyone else did not fall into this hole sooner. But now, my mood is pretty much ruined, and I think that I will just put a cute ribbon on this weapon and leave it under Origami's pillow.

Not sure of that yet.

Anyway, the group that I'm looking for must near the hote-

"Kyaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

"Panic! How indecent!"

...

Yup, I've found them.

Behind the hotel and past the trees, I saw the boy that had a familiar bundle of white fur sitting on his shoulder, standing above a pair of kneeling and very much naked and distressed orange heads.

I think that Shido should start carrying with him some spare towels or sheets when dealing with Spirits that require sealing, as it would spare quite a lot of awkwardness in the future.

Smirking, I approached from behind the twins as I emerged from the trees and was quickly spotted by Shidou who's face was pretty red from his current situation. Fou, too, saw me and wiggled his fluffy tail in excitement or maybe anger at being left behind to observe the process of sealing a Spirit's power?

I made a 'shush' and winked at the boy before quietly making my way over to them. On the way, I already began to focus a little bit on my mana on the image I had in mind.

Two meters in length, one meter wide, soft, white, and non-translucent, to put it simply, a pair of white and simplistic sheets to cover the embarrassed twins.

"Wh-Wh-Why did this happen!?" Kaguya screamed again as she tried huddling herself closer to her sister.

"Agreement. Shido should have warned us." Yuzuru's voice was still as robotic as ever, except there was real distress in her tone.

"I-I'm sorry, t-that's how it works, so..." Shido tried to explain himself before the girls as he looked at me with pleading eyes.

I stifled a chuckle and nodded.

Might as well spare him an angry Tohka that no matter how much she trusts him, Tohka would still be rather upset, especially if the sisters open their mouths and say things out of context. Besides, I think he earned a little respite for tonight, with him using the power of two Angels at once and all of that.

Anyways, I approached the girls from behind them and raised my hands above their heads, and after a moment, mots of light formed into perfectly shaped sheets that feel on the twins.

"Kyaaa!/Surprise." Shouted the girls as the material landed on their heads and covered their bodies.

"It would seem," I said as I walked past the caught off guard girls and stood next to Shido with a smirk on my face. "That your date went much better than mine."

"You mean Ellen?" His eyes widened in worry as he looked at me, searching for wounds. "What happened there? Are you hurt?"

Sweet of him, but totally unnecessary.

"Yeah, it wa-"

"Shido, what's with the sudden light and the screams?" Tohka's voice came from the opposite direction from which I came, and soon enough, the girl herself stepped out from the tree line.

"Shido? Al?" Her eyes darted from us to the twins sitting on the ground. The twins who I noticed have managed to pull their heads out from the sheets. "W-W-What happened?"

"A-Ah, well/ You see-" Shido and I tried to explain this to the purple-haired girl, but...

"First, Shido stripped us of our clothes!" Kaguya was quick to interrupt us with a pretty accurate depiction of what Shido did.

That, of course, made Tohka glare at the poor boy who suddenly found me to be a good meat shield.

"O-Oi, don't hide behind me and just explain it calm-"

"Account. We were both then covered from behind and unable to see anything." Yuzuru calmly stated as she pointed her finger at me.

Alright, that sounds bad when Yuzuru put it like this, but I'm sure that my skill in diplomacy will calm down the glaring and marching girl.

"In my defense, they were naked, but if they don't like the sheets, I can always make them disappear." I said casually and shrugged.

"Fou, fou..." The small beast on Shido's shoulder whined at me.

What do you mean I 'messed up'?

Then, a punch flew past me as I stepped to the side at the last moment and noticed a weight landing on my right shoulder now.

Oh, that's what he meant.

"Urgh!" Shido yelped as he landed on the grass and was not as lucky as me.

I was just surprised, but as I looked at the unfortunate boy lying on the ground next to me, I noticed something was off with him. Shido seemed a little bit paler than a moment ago.

And sweating, and grunting a little more, and not getting up from the ground.

"Fou, fou." The snowball tapped my cheek and explained to me why Shido began to feel the side effects of using the power of Spirits right now.

I smirked at the little guy.

"See, you do care." I pet his little head despite his annoyance.

"S-Shido? I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..." Tohka took quick notice of his state and jumped to his side, trying to help him to at least sit up.

"Hey, what's with Shido suddenly?" Kaguya's worried voice sounded out.

I glanced at the still kneeling twins, Kaguya didn't hide her feelings of worry, and even Yuzuru's calm facade was breaking with concern for the boy that stripped them unintentionally just a few minutes ago.

"I...I am feeling just a little tired, is all." Shido said with a ragged breath.

I sighed and shook my head at this because, of course, the boy doesn't want anyone to be worried about him. Still, better to make sure he's fine now rather than get an earful from Kotori about how I let her precious 'onii-chan' endanger himself like this.

"Stay still." I kneeled and put a hand on the sitting boy's forehead with the intent of using Structural Analysis, as it could help me understand the changes Shido undergoes right after sealing a Spirit.

"Hot." I frowned as I felt the heat of the boy's skin.

Was it a side effect of relying on Kotori's power of flames that heal his body, or was it from using Tohka's and Yoshino's and overtaxing his body this much?

I guess a human body is fragile after all, huh?

"Keep Shido seated, won't you, Tohka?"

Anyways, I gave a reassuring smile and nod towards Tohka before using my Marble Phantasm for what I hoped was the last time for tonight, and my vision of the Forever Sealed Utopia surrounded the five of us.

And while Tohka and Shido have already witnessed and been affected by this Phantasm, they still looked with wonder at the numerous flowers surrounding us.

"..."

"Beautiful."

Surprisingly enough, it is Yuzuru who speaks up first, where her sister continued to look at this with childish curiosity in her eyes at the sight of the surrounding flower field, the countless petals flying around, and its soothingly warm influence.

"Rest for a while, and then you should feel like new Shido." I tossed the hair on his head a little. "Also... try not to overdo it the next time you use an Angel's power, alright? You got us all worried there, you know?"

"Y-Yeah, I'm sorry about that." He shrugged my hand off and unintentionally laid himself more into Tohka, causing him to blush. "S-Sorry, Tohka!"

The girl, however, seemed to have forgotten all of her anger she had a mere moment ago and smiled gently at Shido, pulling him slightly closer while shyly muttering. "It's... alright, Shido."

Seeing the pair of teens like that brings a smile to my face. But I quickly shake my head and get up.

"Well, I'm just gonna go and inform Reine about this development." I said quietly, hoping not to disturb the lovebirds and bring this night to an end.

"H-H-Hold it!" Kaguya's suddenly called out.

"Yes?" I raised an eyebrow in surprise and turned towards the twins.

"Just how are you doing that?"

"You will need to elaborate a little bit on that, Kaguya." I said as I kneeled in front of the twins and smiled at them cheekily.

"The first time you met us, you just caused a lightning strike, but this... this is so cool!" Kaguya's eyes seemed to shine with adoration.

What?

"Huh?" I dumbfoundedly answered with a strained smile on my face.

"I mean like, umm." Kaguya's face became even redder than it already was before she put up a fake front of confidence. "Kukuku, it would seem that you have more abilities than you let on, just as my Demonic Eye foresaw."

I blinked, and then I put my hand on the girl's head and gave her a pity pat.

"O-Oi, what's with that suddenly?!" She tilted her head away and glared at me with equal parts of embarrassment and anger.

It does make her look rather adorable if I'm to be honest.

"Mystery. Why are you here?" Questioned me the twin sitting on my left.

"Hmm? Did I not tell you when we first met or, didn't you ask Shido and Tohka about me?" I heard quiet and awkward laughter coming from behind me. "I'm gonna take that as a vague yes then."

I turned my head backward and took notice that Shido-while starting to look much healthier- could still use some time in my small garden.

"Very well, ask what you want." I said calmly while taking off my sunglasses, surprising the twins who stared at me. "What, that's the least that I can do for my adorable little sisters, right?"

The twins were taken aback by this declaration of mine before they looked as if they remembered something.

"Wait, you were serious with that?!" Kaguya screams out in response.

"Of course, because just as you believe that a Spirit should be all cool and stuff, I believe that we Spirits are a family of sorts." I scratched the side of my head. "Well, I don't expect any of you to go and start to call me 'big brother' or anything like that, but I would be happy to know that in the future you can rely on me like on Shido."

I felt a bit of heat rising in my cheeks as I said that embarrassing line, and by the look on the girl's faces, they too didn't take it lightly as they avoided making eye contact with me for a short moment.

It would also be nice if Fou stopped snickering at me.

"Where is your Angel?" Yuzuru was the first to break the silence.

"Well, you're looking at it." I raised a hand and turned into long and sharp claws while also pouring some Mana into my Mystic Eyes. "Samael is a little bit different than yours."

At this presentation, Yuzuru looked unsure on how to react, but Kaguya...

"Woah! It's like you're a Vamp-"

"Please don't finish that sentence." I raised a hand to stop her.

"B-But, it's so fitting!" She leaned forward at me with stars in her eyes.

"Smirk. Of course, Kaguya would think of that first." Yuzuru commented with a small smile on her lips before turning to me. "Question?"

"Yeah, go ahead."

"Why isn't your power sealed too?"

"... Ah, you see." I turned my head to the side and smiled cheekily. "While I do trust Shido, I do not trust him in 'that' way."

The twins went quiet again, then they looked behind me at Shido, who I could only guess was as red as they were.

"Anyways," I fake coughed into my fist. "I can help others with my powers unsealed, so that's it."

"So, anything else, or can we continue that after I ask Reine to get you two some clothes?" I got up and cleaned the dirt off my clothes.

"N-No, please go/ Permission." Responded of the orange-haired twins who suddenly became very conscious of their state of undress again.

"And how are you feeling, Shido?" I asked the boy when I turned around to face him and Tohka again.

"M-Much better, thanks." He answered while avoiding eye contact with me.

Heh, I really do hope that Ratatoskr won't try the 'Shiori' strategy on me instead of Miku.

"Good, I'll go now an-"

"Shido!" Came the voice of Origami, who ran towards the boy before stopping and glaring at me, or more precisely, at the sniper rifle on my shoulder.

And why is her yukata full of holes?

...

Damn it, Kurumi!

"Master." Yuzuru calmly stated, earning a look of total surprise from the white-haired girl as she noticed the half-naked twins.

"Thus kindly, I scatter." With a burst of petals around me, I disappeared from everyone's sight and walked towards where I hoped to find Reine.

----

"Beam me up, blondie." I said using the small communicator I got from Reine after finding her.

She took the whole explanation of what has happened with her usual calm demeanor and promised to take care of the twins and everything else after that. I was a bit surprised at the reaction she gave when I asked to fly with the Fraxinus instead of the plane, as she almost seemed to be hurt for some reason.

There was also the case of meeting the Kurumi clone on my way to Reine, who had quite the smug grin on the face. She was also the reason for Origami's shredded clothes because she kept the girl from joining the commotion by shooting at her from the shadows.

I just pat the clone's head and said that I was going to have a talk with the Original later.

"Please do not call me that." The voice of a young and tired man responded.

"Sorry, would you prefer I make you see me as Kotori and step all over your face?" I asked him mockingly over the coms.

"YES PLEASEEE~!" He shouted so loudly and enthusiastically I thought that the little device in my ear would explode.

...

I had expected that from the blond vice-commander of the Fraxinus, but I am somehow still disappointed.

"Just get me up-"

I felt a thin barrier of magical energy instantly and tightly formed around me, and I was no longer on the island.

"-there, please?" I finished my sentence as I found myself in a round room with steel walls before frowning. "Could have at least warned me."

"Fou." The beast complained at the suddenness too.

"Yeah, damn rude, I know." I stepped towards the doors and ope-

...

Why do I sense Yoshino on the ship? Kotori said to me that she would be left behind and monitored while Shido is on his school trip, so why is she-

"I'm such an idiot." I facepalmed at the realization that just hit me.

Why would they leave Yoshino behind? They wouldn't, of course, sealed or not, Yoshino is still a little girl and thus susceptible to mood changes that could cause her powers to return.

I continued to walk towards one of the Fraxinuses elevators, with my goal being a unique room onboard of the magi-tech airship. In this room, the Spirits can sit in a home-like environment until being sealed by Shido.

"Ah, there you are, Al-san." I turned around to see the source of the voice, and it turned out to be the blond masochist running down the corridor to meet me. "Could you please come with me? We still need to make an official repo-!"I yeeted the gun I was carrying in my back to the absolute deviant. -"Ahhhhhnnn~!!!"

I didn't show him that I was disturbed by his moan of pain and pleasure...

"Not now, I'm tired." My focus turned back on the elevator after having thrown the rifle at the man, causing him to land on his arse. "Please, keep that in someplace safe."

After that, I entered the elevator and went to the right floor, where I proceeded to open a wooden door that led to a perfect copy of Shido's house, well, the first floor at least. There, sitting on a couch in front of the TV was Yoshino, who turned around and noticed me.

"Onii...chan?" Questioned Yoshino.

"Yooo! Onii-chan, what are you here for, huh? Did you miss Yoshino and me that much~?" Yoshinon asked smugly.

I just stood above them with my arms crossed and a smirk, Fou meanwhile, decided to jump off and choose that the small blue-haired girl would be a better place to sit on.

I watched as the girl and the puppet laughed at the small creature's attempts to get a petting session.

Moments later, I joined them on the couch and told the girl of what happened and that she would soon meet two other Spirits that Shido has just sealed.

She seemed a tiny bit excited to meet the twins even with her shyness holding her back, but she did react a bit funny when I called them 'my little sisters'.

She made the most adorable pout in the world, which luckily passed when I assured her that she is my cutest and the most adorable little sibling and that Shido will still have time for her. Though, I could have done it without Yoshinon teasing me the whole time.

Eventually, we all fell asleep and left the worrying for tomorrow.

I just had wished that I didn't have to listen to Kotori's ranting when I officially reported what I did.

They are getting closer to the truth. How much longer until the big reveal of his true origins?

Hopefully it will be soon, I love myself a good revelation reaction chapter.

Al isn't a vampire, vampires are Dead Apostles. Al is a True Ancestor; he makes vampires as lesser knock-off copies of himself.

Holy crap, that blonde guy is DBZA Zarbon humanized.
I mean, he's just a little bit masochistic, and he may be into loli's(mainly his commander, Kotori), but that's played of mostly as a joke in the series, with him even being once dragged out to a reeducation camp.

Well, of course, Kaguya was the first to raise that question, but that's thanks to her being quite the chuunibyou, so Al being like a Vampire sounds really cool to her.
Also, the ones that would know of Al's true nature would probably be Kurumi and someone not yet introduced. But that is something that Al would really like to keep everyone from knowing as long as possible because being treated as an odd Spirit makes him a lesser target for Mio to take out of the picture. There is the problem that when it happens, it would probably hurt most everyone because Al wasn't entirely honest with them and kept telling half-truths all the time.

Yup, Dead Apostles are just a side effect of TA drinking people's blood.
Don't tell that to Kaguya though, she will pester Al about it for a long time.

Half-truths are better than just plain old lies. He is still a spirit, he still sees them as his little sisters and he has proved to care deeply for them that he would go out of his way to protect them.

That should count for something but I can see what you mean, it will cause tension and distrust in the girls and possibly even Shido. But then again, they might understand if he explains it was all to protect them.

"My weird powers, odd strength and thirst for blood... Yes, it's as you suspected: you're adopted. All of you, especially Kurumi. I still love you all as family, except Kurumi. If you ever need help you can come to me, not Kurumi though."

To be entirely fair, the only part he's really lied about is having an angel. Al is a Spirit, he has merely neglected to mention that he is a different kind of Spirit from the ones they are familiar with.

Yup, Dead Apostles are just a side effect of TA drinking people's blood.
Crimson Moon Brunestud too, on whom the True Ancestors were based\copied, given that he turned Zelretch into a Dead Apostle at the conclusion of their famous duel. Indeed, Crimson Moon directly or indirectly created a number of Dead Apostles, including several of the 27 Dead Apostle Ancestors, though not by drinking their blood oddly enough.

I'm not sure if that means that True Ancestors are a very good copy, or a very bad one.

"Kurumi can solve her own damn problems, the leech."

Al caught the attention of the setting's token Yandere, so attempting to pick up additional girls would go poorly.

On the bright side, she can time-clone herself, so she's a one-woman harem anyway! :V

I know, despite it being a harem Al has barely Kurumi, and even then I didn't state that they both have any significant feelings for one another as of yet, because while Al is someone who accepts Kurumi she only accepted his because he said that they share a goal and he is stronger than her, while Al wants to keep her around so she doesn't ruin his plans with her being a possible wild card.

Also, the biggest reason why Al doesn't even attempt to think romantically about the other Spirits, choosing instead to pretend to be a 'Big Brother Spirit' is because of Mio/Reine, whose biggest goal is to make sure that the girls fall in love with Shido, and she is someone who has little to no reservations when it comes to killing the girls or Al. Add the fact that she's almost like a TYPE with her power with no one to keep her in check.

Oh, Kurumi has definitely quite the Yanadre tendencies, but she is also someone who was willing to accept the other girls I think.
Also, that:

Reporting To The Firecracker
"..."

"..."

"..."

"..."

Sigh.

"I can't help but have this tingly feeling that you might be a little bit upset with me, Kotori-chan~." I said teasingly towards the girl who kept staring at me from behind her dark and almost empty desk, her hands covering her eyes.

I'm currently sitting inside her rather undecorated private office inside the Fraxinus after we returned to Tengu City a mare day after the whole incident on the island. Kotori, too, barely managed to come back from meeting her Ratatoskr/Asgard Electronics superiors before she heard the report and called me into a private meeting almost instantly.

"..."

"The silent treatment, really? Not like I accidentally started a war or something of that kind, so I don't get your reaction right now." I dismissively waved my hand and laid more into the quite comfy chair.

I should try and get some extra furniture for my hotel apartment later since if things go right, I'm going to have another roommate/freeloader to take care of for some time.

"You beached or, more precisely, you crashlanded a DEM owned airship after taking it over on a civilian-owned island in the middle of the night." Her voice seems tired as her hands moved from her head and rested on the table, and Kotori's bright red eyes finally meet my own.

'Oh, she speaks!' I thought and smiled a little.

"Yup, I didn't want to fly down by myself, and I don't even have a driver's license, and that's why I did it." A lazy explanation left my lips, causing Kotori too... not react at all?

"You fought the number one Wizard in the world, who is the personal assistant of the founder of DEM... and made her flee from you in utter terror after you beat her." She ignores me completely and continues to talk in that tired voice.

"Well, I'm sorry I don't have dating experience like Shido has, all thanks to my unique features that make it kind of hard to talk with normal people, you know?" I jokingly ranted a little. "But otherwise, yup, that's the gist of things."

I watched as Kotori closed her eyes, clenched her fist on the table, and took a deep breath.

"Do you have any idea just HOW dangerous everything you did was!?" And her calm composure broke, making her yell at me in frustration.

"I had everything under control, but thank you for worrying for me." My arms found themself on the desk and supported my head while I smiled at the red-headed girl.

"I-I'm not worried about you, you idiot!" Her cheeks became tinted with red as she stuttered, alas she quickly regained her focus and glared at me for the distraction. "It was everyone else I was worried about, and why did you even leave them for the airship in the first place? You just gave Ellen a chance to act out her plan."

"Well, firstly, I wanted to get rid of the obviously invisible airship that was transporting weapons, those weird robots, and was engaged in combat with the Fraxinus." My smile vanished momentarily, and I narrowed my eyes at the commander of the Fraxinus. "The airship that just so happened to be carrying Yoshino, despite you reassuring me that she was going staying in Tengu City during Shido's school trip."

"I-I..." Her angry expression melted, and she looked to the side, not meeting my eyes.

I wonder if Kotori is feeling bad because she hid that fact, or if she's reacting like that because she got caught on it.

"Secondly. I left Fou with Shido and Tohka, so they were perfectly safe." I returned to my tone and smile from before, dispersing the awkward atmosphere and confusing the young girl.

I also pointed at the small furball currently napping comfortably on my lap to reinforce my point.

"... You're serious with this?" Her head whipped right back towards me, then at the white menace.

I nodded.

THUD!

"Why do I have to deal with all of this now?" She muttered out as she faceplanted on the desk.

I chuckled and looked with amusement at her distress before gently and jokingly petting her head.

"Hey, look on the bright side little sis-"

"DON'T CALL ME THAT!" She pushed my hand away and glared at me, which I found quite adorable "Anyway, what is it."

"The DEM might just try and target me now instead of Tohka or any other Spirit." I said that with the best smile that I could muster and watched Kotori as her eyebrow began to tick nervously.

...

"That is not a good thing either, dumbass!"

I just chuckled again at another one of her outbursts. Tsunderes are just too easy to tease.

But I am surprised that Fou hasn't woken up from all the yelling, but I guess he's resting from having to entertain Yoshino before she was teleported back to Shido's house.

"Jeez, calm down, little firecracker." I joked, but Kotori clearly didn't appreciate that.

"W-Why you-" She launched forward and grabbed me by the collar, pulling me closer till we were face to face.

KNOCK! KNOCK!

"I brought the report from the team station at Arubi Island and taking care to cover the... landing of the Arbatel and- hmm, did I come in at a wrong time?" Asked a calm, almost bored voice that entered the office.

"R-Reine!" Kotori shouted and threw me back, her face as red as a tomato.

"Hi, Reine-san, no, you didn't." I waved my hand at the woman standing in the doorframe who held a stack of papers in her hands.

"Fouuuuu." The small and cuddly calamity woke up and stretched in my lap.

"Ah, sorry for the ruckus buddy, did you at least sleep well?" I scrubbed his tiny little head as he glanced at me in annoyance.

"Fou, kyuu." He hurtfully said and turned his tail to me, preferring to jump on the desk and walk towards Kotori before climbing on her shoulder, much to the girl's surprise.

"Eh, everyone's a critic." I shook my head and gazed at Reine with a small smile. "Oh, by the way, how are you feeling today?"

I mainly asked because while I know that she was someone who technically existed for over 30 years without sleep, she still shows signs of being tired as I clearly see that Reine is not as energetic as she was a mere day ago and looks more like her usual tired and slow self.

"Ah, I'm doing... fine." She said in her monotone tone and moved to the right of Kotori, putting down the documents she had on the small commander's desk once she reached her.

Glancing at the young girl and the older woman in front of me, I couldn't help myself but try a little bit of teasing.

"You sure? If you're in need, we can always repeat what we did the other night during the trip, Reine-san."

The silence that followed was worth more than the entire treasury of Gilgamesh.

It was so quiet that I could hear the blondie tripping over somewhere on the Fraxinus and moaning in delight from said experience.

"R-R-Reine, what is-" The color red now completely engulfed Kotori's head as she franticly moved her focus between myself and Reine, instantly catching the possible hidden meaning in my words.

Reine herself seemed to be surprised by that, judging from her raised eyebrows and slightly open jaw, which closed, and I saw the edges of her lips going almost unnoticedly upwards.

Heh, she knows what I'm doing here.

"Of course, we could schedule for doing this thing on the regular, and we could even do it on the Fraxinus if you'd want that."

"That is a tempting offer." She answered calmly, presumably trying to make this conversation look as casual as possible. "The last time...was nice."

"H-How on an m-minute! What are you two talking about r-right now!?" The young teen screeched at both of us from sheer embarrassment.

"Oh, if you want to know, we could let you watch, so what do you think, Reine-san?" I smirked in delight as I watched Kotori on the edge of my vision getting visibly horrified.

"Well-"

"PERVERTS!" Kotori sprung from the chair, small bursts of fire surrounding her tiny frame causing Fou to jump off her and onto the desk, then she pointed her finger at me. "BEAST! SCUM! HOW DARE YOU TALK LIKE THAT IN FRONT OF A YOUNG GIRL?! YOU'RE A BIGGER DEGENERATE THAN KYOUHEI!"

I blinked and then grinned at the literally flaming girl.

"Such hurtful words, ah, is this truly my reward for selfishly helping others?" I fakely pouted at the enraged girl.

"H-Huh?!" She was taken aback by my act, and some of the flames around her began to fade.

But Reine quickly put her hand on the teen's shoulders, gently guiding her back into her seat, all the while wearing a warm and motherly smile.

"This is far enough for a joke, don't you think so too?" She nodded at me before stepping back from the girl with a smirk plastered on her face. "Kotori, despite what you might think, Al here was simply helping with my sleep problems."

"..." Kotori gaped at us with her mouth open, eyes shining with the feeling of betrayal as she realized that Reine and I were teasing her all this time.

"You really are naughty for someone your age, Kotori-chan~." A metaphorical twist of the knife to finish it all.

And Kotori's head slammed again against the desk, steam flowing ut of her ears, and like that, Kotori.exe has stopped working.

"Kyuu?" Fou tried to humor the distraught girl by poking her cheek with his paw.

Though, I wonder if the steam was a byproduct of her Spirit power acting out or some wacky anime logic...

"Whoops, too much?" I asked Reine with an amused expression.

"Yes, too much." The woman nodded.

Well, I had my fun here, so I guess I'll grab Fou from the desk and go back to my hotel roo-

"Is it true?!" A loud feminine voice rang from behind, causing me to turn and look at the source.

Mana?

There goes my plan.

"Mana, you should be staying in the med bay."

"I don't need further tests, Reine-san! And besides, I need to know if he really did fight Ellen!" She ignored Reine's concerned expression and march towards me, stopping mere centimeters from my face.

"I did." I said with a frown on my face as I took a good look at what Shido's little sister was wearing. "Now, can you wear something more than a patient gown?"

Mana immediately became conscious of her current state of attire and, oh boy, if glares could kill.

Well, they can, but I am not telling any of them that Mystic Eyes are a thing.

"I-I didn't have time to change, but that is not important right now." She shook her head and once again approached me closer. "Did you really fight and win against Ellen? Adeptus One?"

"I've already said that I did, so why don't you just believe it?"

"And how did you even do that? Ellen is a total battle maniac, and her retreating from a fight is just impossible."

"Simple," I leaned forward and almost touched the blue-haired girl's nose. "I just punched her really hard."

"... You can't be serious?" She took a step back and pinched her nose from frustration.

"But I a-"

"Thirty-six dead." Kotori's cold and calm voice caught all our attention.

What?

"Thirty-seven, actually." Reine corrected her ash she swiped another document from under the pile.

"Could you... elaborate on that?" I felt a cold shiver running down m back.

"Thirty-seven crew members of the DEM airship named Arbatel are dead." The girl that was a flustered mess just a few moments before was gone, replaced by the cold commander of the Fraxinus.

"But I didn't kill anyone." I protested, remembering that I didn't mortally wound anyone when I boarded the airship.

Or, at least, that is what I chose to believe when I left those bleeding and broken men behind.

"Some of them had deep cuts on their limbs or torsos," Her serious gaze never left me, judging my reactions. "And while the cause of their deaths was most likely from the hard landing, it's obvious that you were responsible for killing those people, Al."

I felt a lump building up in my throat as I digested the information.

Ah, I-I guess I did, didn't I?

My decision to 'Go on a walk' has caused the death of thirty-seven people, people who probably had friends, family, loved ones of their own, and homes to return.

And I killed them without even thinking about them, not even realizing how many could possibly die from me wanting to stick it to Isaac.

But... wouldn't have this happened anyway?

In canon, it's the twins that destroyed utterly destroyed the Arbatel, with I think Paddington being the only prisoner that Ratatoskr got its hand on. The latter should be very much alive and in captivity right now unless I fried his brain along with that tiny device that was planted in his head when he started acting weird on the bridge.

"Oi, are you alright?" Kotori's voice snapped me out of my thoughts, and when I looked into her eyes, I saw some hidden worry and concern.

"Y-Yeah, it's just that..." I stuttered, not sure what to say right now.

It's just that I killed people.

People that worked for a man that would torture all the Spirits and Shido, if only for his own sick amusement and none of the DEM personnel would even care about that.

I felt disgusted.

I felt it at Isaac, at everyone who follows him, at his friends that helped to create Mio from this world's magical energy.

But right now, I felt the most disgust at myself for honestly thinking about what I am about to say.

"It's just that... I don't really care about that." I calmly stated, a little surprised at how easy it was.

My eyes darted between the people in the room, taking note of their reactions. Kotori was taken aback by this, and even the furball sitting on her shoulder was surprised. Reine didn't show any reaction at all, but I knew that she must be analyzing my apathy and deciding if I'm a threat to her plans, while Mana herself seemed to be conflicted.

"A-Al, you cant just-"

"Please, don't misunderstand me, Kotori-chan." I tried to lighten the mood with a forced smile. "I don't take any pleasure in what happened, so don't jump to conclusion and think that I might start acting like I'm Kurumi."
<Hidden text: Because I am so much worse than her.>

"But those people made their choice, as they worked for someone who wants to hurt Spirits and now probably Shido too, so I made a choice to confront and stop them."

"But you can't just kill people!" She shouted at me, but there was little anger in her voice.

"I will if I have to!" I snapped back at the girl, causing her to look at me with fear in her eyes.

"... Why?" She asked me gently, her voice but a whisper.

"Because... I meant it when I said you're all like little sisters to me, and I will deal with anyone that will try to hurt you." I slowly stood up and reached for Fou. "Come, little one, we should go."

"H-Hey, you can't just leave now!"

"It would be better if I did, trust me." I left the room while lazily waving my hand at them. "See you tomorrow."

And like that, I went towards the teleporter unbothered by anyone to leave the airship.

Kotori's PoV

"That idiot." I sighed and sat back into my chair, tossing my hair to the back and looking towards my friend. "Reine, what... do you think of it all?"

"I am not sure, but there is a possibility of Al-san being entirely honest here." She said in her usual tone of voice.

"But why is he so ready then to protect the other Spirits and Nii-sama?" Mana asked, her eyes narrowed with suspicion.

"Maybe... if he remembers nothing of his past and has been in hiding ever since he arrived, he might desire a place to belong to?"

Is this why Al is acting this way?

If he's just like the other Spirits, why is he so insistent on not having his powers sealed? Or is this the difference between a female Spirit and a male Spirit?

Ugh, I hope there aren't more Spirits like him as he alone is a headache to deal with, especially since the higher ups are not exactly excited about the deal that we're having here.

"Ah, pardon the intrusion commander, but I'd like to inform you that Josh Thot Slayer Groban has just left the ship." Came Kyouhei's voices from the other side of the door.

"Ah, good, now we ca- who are you talking about?!" I screamed in confusion at the door that opened and revealed my equally confused vice-commander.

"Well, I'm talking about Josh Thot Slayer Groban?" The blond man said as if that was the most normal thing in the world.

Who in the world is that?! How did such a person even-

"Ugh! Why would he even do that?!" I grasped my head in annoyance.

I heard as Mana began to snicker after realizing what just happened.

"Did he use his Angel to make everyone here call him that here?" I questioned loudly.

I'm going to need to check on the rest of the crew later.

"I believe that Al-san can be quite petty at times." Said a smirking Reine, who's clearly enjoying my suffering.

"I have noticed, anyway, let's just get this report over with, and you Mana go back to the med bay, once we get this over with, we can go to my most precious and beloved onii-chan." I felt a burning heat rising in my cheeks as I realized what I just said. "... I'm going to murder him!"

"Hahaha, he really is petty!" Mana laughed at my misery.

Al's PoV

"Ara ara, back already?" The original Kurumi greeted me at the doors of my hotel room, dressed in a maid outfit. "Would you like dinner? A bath?" Her voice became even more seductive, and she raised her skirt slightly. "Or M E?

...

My right hand found its place on her head, which received a few gentle pets before it shifted and caressing her cheek, surprisingly her greatly.

"Ara, did you miss me this badly, onii-chan?" She grabbed my hand with hers, only to freeze a moment later after noticing my expression.

"Did you really think that I have forgotten about the clone you send?" Her smile disappeared quickly, thanks to my cold tone.

"I think it is time for some punishment, little sis... and you're not going to enjoy it.

Still suffering from writer's block... anyway, the next chapter will be about bonding with the twins.
