Heroic Desires (My Hero Academia Quest)

And that's it for now. Vote closed. Sadly we are not asking the crazy girl on a date. I wanted to figure out what do to write in that situation.

No one said they want to use the bonus but there is still some time until I roll. Once I roll it will be too late. I will edit this post once I do it.

Edit:
The dice have been rolled. The results are... interesting.

---[X] Try to talk her down and figure out what she wants with us.
-[X] If it doesn't work; Blast her backwards with our Telekinesis until she's too wounded to continue fighting
[X] Plan GO BIG OR GO HOME
-[X] Try to overpower her while she is unaware of your increased power and Go for a Kabe-don
-[X] (Optional if not working) Push Shirohime's Quirk to it's limit to get one more body dice
-[X] Try and socially counter her by asking her on a date. It's crazy, but she's crazy, so it might just work.
-[X] If it works, try your best to stay in a place with people to dissuade her from doing anything crazy and try to find out more about her identity and motive

We've got a much weaker version of Krishimas quirk.
Skin Hardening (Eijiro Kirishima. Rank 3/10): Daiki's skin can harden. It's slightly noticeable from the outside and will stop most normal cuts and bruises. Gives a slight boost to strength. Daiki has now enough control to use it in combat.

would stop normal cuts include boxcutters?

🤷‍♂️
This is what I got:
Is Shirohime's Quirk or Kirishima's Quirk better for defending against a knife?
Kirishima's quirk is twice as good as Shirohime's for defense. Right now you have twice as much relationship with Shirohime so they give the same. Shirohime's gives more offense so right now it's simply better.

E: No post that starts with a shrug emoji should get a informative rating.
Ever.
@Luxicato could you clarify this. tri2 does seem to have brought up a valid discrepancy.

It would, but she knows how to aim her cuts. Both of your defensive quirks don't cover all your body. The scales are only on forearms and parts of the face and neck. Kirishima's quirk only protects arms, face, neck and part of the chest. It works in any normal combat situation but nothing can make you 100% immune to attacks.

I didn't want Luxi to think I forgot about the next to last update. Because I did not.

Also also, the interaction between Koga and the twins reminds me of Isshin and his kids from Bleach.
We could have been an adopted Ichigo.
A full 100% all crits here would have made Koga so sad with your story that he would adopt you on the spot making the twins REALLY confused once they arrived.
My heartstrings have been spared. What a shame, An extra pair of sisters would have been awesome.
I expected 1 of every 10 feedback bits to be negative at most but it's closer to 1/5 or 1/4. I guess so many likes went to my head. I need to get better.

There's always something to be improved, or something we miss when we write. I've reread some stuff I used to think were completely solid and realized they were rougher than I thought. They were still good, okay, adequate, but editing and revision is a skill onto itself. Don't take the negative feedback as an indication of absolute quality. It's more a function of not having someone else around to proofread that isn't yourself.

For Example:
"I said go away!". He doubles over, but she is not done. Her training kicks in and uses the opening to jump and spin around, kicking the legendary master of ninjutsu with enough strength to send him flying backwards
You're always stuck inside your own head, so you know what you're trying to communicate any time you write and that means you have a massive blindspot in the conveyance of information.
Your mental image is already complete before you put a word on a page, but everyone else has to build that image up word by word. And sometimes the translation might not be as clear as it could be.

This particular bit during the last-last update wasn't bad at all, and you wouldn't have put it up if you thought it was. But, to me, that bit of character movement didn't feel natural. It felt like a step was missing or something, like she was too close after punching to be jumping at him.
And that's a function of my not being in your head or imagining the execution in the way that was intended. It's just part of the process.

It doesn't make the writing bad. But you're playing a game of telephone between your mind and someone else's and improvement lies mostly in bridging that gap in ways that don't distract or omit information that you want to communicate.

Grammar choices, odd uses of punctuation, small spelling errors, even formatting of a written work can all be distractions.

Insufficient descriptions, or under-explained events in the narrative are omissions.

Being good is just being able to cut those things to a minimum, you can't do away with them completely. People don't think similarly enough for that to happen. And you do just fine already.

Being your best is good, just don't think your work is a dumpster fire. It's good.

The moment the picture of their father showed up, I got nostalgic memories of playing Pokemon a couple years back. Ah, the innocence of youth~
You can tell I don't play Pokemon because my first thought was Knives Chao's dad from the Scott Pilgrim comic.

Just bubblier.

wound on your cheek closer
That should be "wound on your cheek close"
That's just a little spelling error. No biggy.

Lust for Blood
She was charging at you, knife ready on her hand. Her eyes were focused on your body trying to find an easy to reach a weak point. Your scales covered most of your forearms, neck, and part of the face, your clothes hiding the less armored parts from view. With some luck, she probably thinks all your torso is covered.

You had to think fast. You were good at reading people at least. Before activating your defenses you managed to read some of her emotions and… they were a mess. This girl had a ton of mixed emotions inside her mind, most of them excitement… Especially when she saw you bleed. You clearly saw her disappointed face when your scales covered the wound…

She was looking for your blood, literally. At least that's the conclusion you reached. She also knew about you, about your quirk and your friends. She was crazy AND dangerous… But she was attacking with a knife so her quirk probably wasn't a combat one… With some luck.

You decided that your best bet was to keep your distance and hold her in place. Maybe call your sister or the police once you pin her down… Or maybe you can talk her down? That would be the optimal result. You need to understand why she is doing this, then you can tell her why she shouldn't.

Your scales suddenly disappear, the wound on your cheek appearing again. That gives the girl pause for a second, slowing down her charge as she questions why you are dropping your defenses. A bigger grin on her face, probably thinking you are doing it for her…

And you technically are.

After changing your power to your sister's, you focus. Directly using your telekinesis on people scared you. It's easy to do if you are calm but you might break something if you hold it the wrong way. Even your sister never holds people directly unless it's her last resort… And that's why you hold Toga by her clothes. It's a lot less tricky and dangerous. You might damage them but that's the least of your worries now. She is…

… Still running in your direction. Once you realize what happened, it's too late to change tactics. The girl was trapped by your hold for just a moment before using the knife in her hand to cut open her school uniform just enough for her to slip away almost without slowing down. She was focused on one objective and would do anything to reach it.

Fear paralyzed you for a second. Her amber eyes were as wide as her smile as her knife got closer.

She left her school uniform and green pouch behind… Now only wearing a black vest that looked like light body armor. It seems like the uniform was a disguise, something she didn't care about and shed as soon as it became an inconvenience.

You rose your hands to defend yourself, your mind too on the edge to even think about using a defensive power. You moved by instinct and, after blinking once, you saw the tip of the knife scraping against your chest, stopped just before piercing your clothes. You almost sigh in relief before feeling the pain in your left hand.

Looking at the knife, you realized why it stopped. Your hands moved to stop the attack and they did… The knife just pierced the palm of your left hand, the point exiting from the back, your other hand somehow holding her wrist in place. She had an expression of childish glee as your wound started to bleed, her shoulders trembled. You just screamed in pain.

It took you a moment to focus on the situation again. She didn't move, enthralled by the crimson liquid flowing from your palm, locked into position by your hold on her wrist. At least she wasn't trying to stab you more, it was your chance to do something!

Social roll. DC 70: 31, 12, 64, 11
Toga's SOUL weakness increases the number of dice.

"T-Toga!" You say, fighting through the pain. If you move your hand she might try to stop you and you don't want to remove the knife. It's already bleeding too much for your taste. Activating your emotion reading lets you know how excited she feels, it would be amazing if the object of her excitement wasn't your own blood. Her attention changes to you for a moment, feeling mildly annoyed but curious. "We… can be friends if you w-want… But you don't need to stab me!" Excitement and glee again. She smiles at you and blushes with an expression totally out of place for the situation. You are still both locked in the same position and, for any outside viewer, would seem like you are still struggling to hold her back even if she isn't trying to push the knife deeper right now.

"Oh, Daiki, you say we can be friends?! I'm so happy… But I need to see more of your blood for that. I NEED to know everything about you. I NEED to be you…" As she talks you change your power. The pain is too much and you start to close the wound around the knife with Haruka's quirk. This might be a really dumb idea but you can't just stay there with a knife cutting your flesh more and more with each little movement. You try to at least stop the bleeding… And by the change of her expression, she doesn't seem to like that. "But I can't be your friend if you don't bleed…" She says almost dejected before pulling the knife out with a quick movement, your hold on her wrist being not enough to stop her.

It hurts as much going out as it did going in. Maybe a bit more because you managed to heal part of the wound around it.

You scream and hold your wrist. The wound is now bleeding a lot more than before, but thanks to still having Haruka's quirk activated, it quickly starts to close. Not enough to heal the wound completely but enough to at least not be dangerous. You bite your lip and look back at the girl expecting another attack.

She wasn't attacking, her expression changed to one of curiosity and wonder as she looked at the knife and her hand, both covered in your blood. She was now a few steps away from you and her stance more relaxed. You almost want to turn Shirohime's quirk on and rush an attack… But even if she is attacking you it feels wrong to just… Do that.

She smiles, approaching the knife to her lips. After giving it a little kiss that stains her lips with your blood, she licks it. A slow and long lick that cleans part of it, getting rid of all the red and returning it to the silver metal it was made of.

She licked her lips with a pensive look on her face, like trying to decide what to think about your blood… Before looking at you with eyes sparkling with delight.

[Toga Himiko relationship +6]

Then your mind exploded into… Not pain but an overwhelming sensation of something being WRONG.

She started to walk in your direction. You didn't care. She got close enough to be in reach of her knife. You dropped on your knees, holding your head. She crouched in front of you, her face close to yours, her eyes looking deep into yours as her blush intensified even more. She licked her lips getting rid of the last traces of your blood, a shudder going down her spine. She…

You quickly stood up and took a step back. The bond. The bond was strong, too strong, too wrong. You didn't care about her, not like that… How? This was the first time someone felt something so strong for you without you feeling it back. It was a deeply warm sensation that smelled like blood. It wasn't bad, it was comforting. You imagined yourself in her arms, wrapped in a hug and tasting her blood. Your blood.

[Optimist blocks the mental wound]

You take a deep breath and smile. You kind of understand now. There is a strong bond between you two, a unidirectional one but as strong as your strongest bond. It still feels wrong but you have your mind clear enough to know what's important right now.

Your scales start to grow again, your body gets ready to pounce and your fingers grow sharp claws. Toga stands up too and takes a step back getting ready. Her smile makes her look almost drunk, but her fighting stance is still perfect.

You want to taste her blood. Maybe if you do you will love her as much as she loves you and, that way, that wrong sensation will disappear.

Daiki's Energy Points: 8/10

[Temporary trait: Bloodlust]

Bloodlust gives you a +1 to BODY for this fight. It makes social rolls to stop you harder. Any action that doesn't end with you tasting some of Toga's blood needs a mental roll to be done.

(You have 3 BODY with bloodlust + Dragon quirk)

[] Plan. Any plan that is not fighting will need to pass a roll or Daiki will default to fight.

Let's see if someone gets what Daiki's quirk is doing right now.

So "can't" is an interesting word choice here. And the fact that she's saying this "dejected" makes it seem like she really wants to, but psychologically believes that friends automatically include blood which is... interesting, but considering her quirk, I can see how she arrived at that thought.
You kind of understand now. There is a strong bond between you two, a unidirectional one but as strong as your strongest bond.
I'm a little lost here. So basically, our empathy ability got overcharged from her stupidly yandere-levels of love, and kind of "forged" (in both senses of the word) a bond stronger than should be normal?
You want to taste her blood. Maybe if you do you will love her as much as she loves you and, that way, that wrong sensation will disappear.
Yeah... so in other words, our Bonds are normally with us liking them more than they like us. So when Toga likes us a lot more than we like her, we kinda... broke.

Either way, Regen seems to have sparked more of Toga's interest which is... yeah. Not good. So we need to either lower Toga's interest in us, or somehow fall in love with her. Real quick.

Shit.

Edit: Notice the social spike right after she looks at our hand after we use Regen. Yeah, I'm willing to bet for someone that loves blood like her that's a major gift. In other words, we kinda just motivated her even more.

So, she resists MIND, we're weak to BODY, and you all absolutely refuse to run away. What now?
