Hereafter [Worm x Fate/Grand Order]

He blinked, bemused. "Pulled into her dream? You mean the three of you?"

"It started off normal enough," I said. "Standard dream stuff.

I ran as fast as my legs would carry me, breath puffing in the air, thick, humid wind on my face, with water sloshing around my shins. The bleak sky cast the whole street in tones of gray and muted pastels, turning every stop sign a pale maroon and every brick a brackish brown. A sense of urgency pushed me forward against the tide trying to carry me away, and I struggled against it, knowing that too much hung in the balance.

It's worth remembering that despite Beast candidates getting stronger a lot closer to their Advent they get, once they get taken down they're largely a shell of their former glory afterwards. Sure, they could resurge as a Beast if the conditions are right - as Ritsuka crucially finds out in their Valentines' scenes - but so long as they don't move towards that, they're way weaker as Servants, which is why Servant Kiara got defeated by Mara for example.

For what it's worth, their really isn't anything like a failed Candidate. A Candidate is always a Candidate. They only reason they are termed as a Failed Candidate is that they regressed and haven't moved forward since. There is indeed nothing stopping them, like you said, from progressing back towards the ascension except their own mentality and effort.

Kiara also promised to only use as much power as a Servant would. If not that, then you would have an actual Beast wrecking the place (and maybe accelerate Mara's ascension only to have the two start punching each other).

Beast Kiara very much still existed someplace else (just like Beast Nero). She is also somewhat active in doing whatever she wanted for enjoyment. It's why we even have Swimsuit Mooncancer.

I think only Kama and Goetia lost their Beast status after Ritsuka took them down? (i don't know about Koyan) Otherwise all the other ones are active someplace. I mean... just look at Tiamat Larvae...
It's closer to Kiara's larval Beast stage basically being stopped, really. Remember, if Kiara is still a full Beast somehow then the Counter Force would've already moved against her long ago. But since so long as her Master remains uncorrupted by her she won't go Advent on mankind, she's being ignored by the Counter Force in the meantime.

Exactly. Theoretically, Taylor could go full Khepri again in this fic and reach her Advent as well with the help of some Caster Servants taking Bonesaw and Panacea's place, but since she won't do that she wouldn't be a Beast again anytime soon.

As long as Olga remains alive and revivable and no other god-like alien being descend Taylor shouldn't regress. Although it's arguable that with Olga alive and a god-like alien being emerges Taylor MIGHT consider it if it gives her a fighting chance.

It's a good thing that the Alien God won't be coming to this story huh?

Don't know if she would need a Pan-Pan or Bonesaw to go back to full Khepri. Depending on the manifestation of her Authority, she could possibly regain her old abilities in a new format, facilitating further advancement.

That said, I have to wonder what Taylor's Love would be as a Beast.

Presumably, the potential for Taylor to become a Beast cannot be removed once it's achieved, or something like that.

What I'm saying is, Throne of Heroes can be used to summon people from alternate universes, different interpretations/possibilities/personalities of the same Heroic Spirit from different stages of life or introduced through inaccuracies of retelling, and outright fictional characters.

As an example, Jeanne Alter, in FGO at least, is a fictional version of the real Jeanne who just didn't harbor the feelings of resentment and hatred that Giles attributed to her. To bypass that, he basically summoned a made-up version using the Grail.

So, if someone, for some insane reason, wished to summon Khepri, the fully actualized Beast VII/ב of Salvation with a Nega-Divinity skill or some shit, provided Very Special Circumstances, they could do so as long as they fulfill the conditions of her Advent.

By conditions I mean, orchestrating a situation where Taylor as she used to be would choose to completely Titanize herself instead of stopping, so just, I dunno, plop out a Lostbelt where her plan didn't succeed quick enough and she deteriorated further while battling Scion.

This is all very speculative and complicated further by the fact that literally nothing in Nasuverse is impossible. They might try to convince you otherwise, but the main rule of the setting is: as long as it makes for a good story, anything goes. The problem is pinpointing exact circumstances and conditions in which it can happen ahead of time, since nobody here is on the writing team.

My interpretation of Taylor as a Beast might be more… radical, pertaining the setting. If other Beasts were born of humanity's negative emotions twisted and corrupted into a unique form of Love, then Taylor herself fulfills the conditions nicely, but she won't stop at destroying humanity, or rather, she would do her damndest to save it… from absolutely everything.

*coughs*

Here, have about five hundred words of nonsensical wankery:

As the Beast of Salvation, Khepri is unable to comprehend existences outside of Human Order as anything other than existential threats. Tyrant or Beloved, Devil or God, be it Beast, Dead Apostle or even Alaya and Gaia themselves, Khepri judges them only through their capacity to inflict destruction on humans.

Ultimately, Khepri is the crystallization of humanity's wish to emerge victorious, no matter the odds stacked against them, manifested into a single individual. That this individual indeed used to exist as a single, ordinary human consciousness, is merely incidental to the humanity's collective desire to continue pushing ever upwards and achieve victory in every conflict.

Were she ever to properly manifest, Khepri would do her absolute utmost to utterly destroy the threat that necessitated her Advent, using any resources available regardless of morality or self-preservation. If she succeeds in vanquishing such a fearsome foe and survive, she would almost certainly move on to the next biggest threat, until nothing is left to contest the Humanity's Primacy, even humanity itself.

Parameters
Strength: E-
Endurance: D
Agility: E
Mana: EX
Luck: F
NP: EX

Class: Beast
Qualifications: Rider, Caster, Avenger, Ruler, Foreigner.
True Name: Queen Administrator

Abilities
The frail human body remaining of its/her host is merely an affectation. The true existence of Khepri can be best described as a merger between a crystalline continent-sized Shard of a virus, the ordinary human consciousness that chose to unleash it, and the Evil of Man, to strive for Victory, to refuse to accept it's End, no matter how inevitable. As such, to truly harm such an existence requires not only weaponry able to utilize the Kaleidoscope to find the true body housing the Third-Scale Planetary Saint Graph, but also to go against the humanity's earnest desire for Salvation, which is more than likely to motivate a lot of her enemies. A juxtaposition of a paradox, a tautological nonsense of a goal, for to hope to defeat her, a human must first abandon the hope itself and fight in full expectation of the ultimate futility and failure of all their efforts.

Class Skills

Nega-Divinity: her Authority as a Beast. There is nothing truly immortal. Gods are merely fools with overinflated ego who think they are safe just because they don't possess the Concept of Death. If it exists, it can die. If it threatens humanity, it will die.

Magecraft: C

Personal Skills

Benevolent Tyrant: B
Innocent Monster: A
Continuation: B+
Independent Manifestation: A

Noble Phantasms
Thus Shall You Serve And Bring Forth Victory, the Queen's Authority: EX
Individually, Khepri could be said to be one of the weakest Servants in existence, exacerbated by the fact that her human body has never actually properly underwent the transformation into a Heroic Spirit and indeed, since she comes from the category of worlds where existence of Heroic Spirits is nothing more than childish impossibility, cannot do so, another paradox of her unique existence.
This means nothing.
Khepri is able to command anyone and anything with human brain, human Origin or human-like nature within sixteen feet, and any bug-like creature within three hundred feet. Heroic Spirits and humans are unable to escape the effect if they are within this radius. Magic Resistance or Immunity will do nothing. While Khepri is in control of the individual she is able to instinctually comprehend their abilities and dearth of knowledge, use their Skills and Noble Phantasms as if she were their rightful Master, liege and lord in possession of unlimited Command Spells, or, to better put it, as if they were merely extensions of her self.

The only defense against it is to possess nature and biology sufficiently inhuman there is nothing to control in the first place.

Some Casters could kickstart it, but Ward shows that really the only thing it takes is QA on the back end deciding to get up off her ass and do something.
That said, I have to wonder what Taylor's Love would be as a Beast.
I've wrote about her Sin would be,
Collectivism. That which loves the whole, but loses sight of and strips individuals of their personal value and agency to serve the whole. A Beast that would kill the concept of "Humanity" to hold and protect "The Human Race."
In a way she overlaps and contrasts with Beasts I, II, and III. She detests humanity's self-defeating nature, our inability to get along even in the face of extinction, and our propensity to become sad broken people, but at the same time she sympathizes with it and respects it too. Not every person or group is completely unreasonable. In our weakness and suffering we find strength to endure and even overcome. We're fractured and fragile and unreliable, and in the face of that we still try so hard. Even in the face of a world dead set on grinding humanity into the dirt through virtue and vice humanity will throw a handful of sand in its eye and keep on swinging. Pity and Respect.
Khepri desired to subject the entirety of humanity (or at least the major powers of it) to her will. To take the wheel of the entire human race and steer it better than it was steering itself. This is without a doubt a setback for the development of humanity, but not quite the Regression of Tiamat. Tiamat didn't want her children to grow up and leave her behind (and was willing to kill them all and start again with new children that would never become independent). Khepri simply didn't believe humanity was able to be responsible for itself and was a danger to herself and itself. She was going to be the overbearing mom with the bubblewrapped kids on the playground. Humanity wouldn't regress under her so much as it would simply lose its ability to grow. An entire species of metaphorical teenagers being treated like children and not learning how to be adults.
As for Beast III, well "humanity subjugated to the will of an individual that wants the best for humanity" isn't that different from Kiara's desire. Kiara's desire being "I am Humanity, all of Humanity is me, and the best for me is an orgasm," however has a few subtle differences and a massively different idea on what would be best for humanity. Mara's take on it is "the obsessive love of others that brings ruination to man." Khepri takes a bit of both, "the love of the self and others that brings ruin to man." But the method and motive of her Beastly ambitions isn't quite Kiara/Mara's love/lust/ego domain.
Ironically she's completely opposed to Beast IV. Comparison has no place in her Humanity. There would be no competition between men. Those suited for roles would do those roles for the benefit of the whole. Everybody would do what they could in harmony. Idealized Communism to effective Eusocialism. Conflict would come solely from outside sources and not be an intrinsic part of Humanity. The individual worth of men would be null, nobody would harm another to benefit themselves for themselves or sacrifice from themselves to benefit another for themselves. Only for the whole of mankind, and with no consideration for what it means for the individuals.
There's definitely a reason Taylor doesn't/wouldn't get along with either of the current Beast IV candidates.

I theorized a ways back on a potential way for Taylor to ReAdvent without having to mimic her original conditions by using the Heroic Spirit she canonically left behind, and that her Sin as a Beast might be Control.

Notably, even now, she has extreme difficulty with trusting others and not getting involved herself. Of not having direct influence on everything around her. She's deeply hesitant to let the twins out of her sight and is very uncomfortable when she can't directly fight because she can't have faith that things will be okay without her directly Controlling everything. It's a desire for Control borne of Worry and thus Love.

The Sins of Beasts we've seen so far: Pity, Regression, Lust, Love, Comparison, and Treasuring (I don't know what Nero Beast's is) are all common human emotional motivators that can result in monstrous behavior. "Emotional Traps" anyone can fall into and thus have to struggle to overcome, hence making them Sins of Humanity.

Nero's Sin is Depravity.

Basically, it's human desire for good things to happen upped to eleven. In science fiction terms, her plan was to remake humanity into a post-scarcity civilization with every wish and want catered to, and then devour it in the entirety the moment it starts descending into fully fledged hedonism.

I guess that makes her a bargain bin version of Slaanesh or something?

Y'know, I looked it up, and this everything sounds almost exactly like Beast III?

Nasuverse reuses previous ideas word for word under a new guise, more news at eleven.

I guess their goals were different, since Kama wanted to love humanity forever, and Nero wanted to completely devour it.

Edit posts, don't double post.

Actually, I agree that desire for control is the centerpiece of Taylor's motivations, which is why I didn't use it in my imaginary Beast!Taylor profile. I'm not really interested in a long philosophical search through her psyche, so I came up with another vaguely plausible possibility on the spot.

If you read between the lines, the Beast of Salvation isn't Khepri precisely, it's Memetic Escalation Queen Taylor progressed to the natural conclusion. Her Advent means something already went terribly wrong, and the humanity is almost absolutely sure to perish, which ties in with her personal history and the Sin I felt could plausibly fill in the seventh spot.

There's an inconsistent theme running in those Beast spots that have multiple candidates, like the fourth spot has a lot to do with demise of humanity as the dominant species of animals, ( which actually makes the Tunguska Lostbelt parallel the demise of dinosaurs from what I heard ) the third slot has to do with human love and alienation, and the sixth slot are blatantly Biblical Apocalyptic references. So the common theme I chose for the seventh slot is the existential horror of outer space, something arriving from beyond the stars or outside human perception, there's a fancy term for that in Nasuverse I don't remember, and demolishing humanity completely, like in FGO and a lot of other works in Nasuverse. I dunno what the deal with Olga Marie is, but Taylor's Advent is basically humanity changing irrevocably in the titanic effort to fight off the existential threat, so much so it can't be called humanity anymore, by either selfishly entrusting all their hopes and dreams on shoulders of one messianic figure or an otherwise unremarkable person taking the matters in their own hands and enforcing their will absolutely with the sole purpose of winning.

Salvation might not be the most appropriate word, but, like, what I was going for is the Nasuverse equivalent of the Indomitable Human Spirit meme. She's meant to mirror FGO Ritsuka, basically, a human who stands against the certain destruction, and does it again, again, and again. Which is, like many Evils of Man, isn't a bad thing in moderation, and indeed, Beast Khepri is meant to destroy the threat that was the Catalyst of her Advent… and then she'll find another. No Beasts left? Let's pick a fight with Oort Cloud. Somehow won against that? Gaia is kinda a bitch for calling all that shit on humans, isn't she? The world's dead, you say? I heard there's bunch of ultimate ones out there in the stars, just waiting for an excuse to destroy humanity, let's go fight them.

So yeah, Beast Khepri is a human Master who will do her damndest to depopulate the universe from all possible threats, and more likely than not will either kill all humans in endless conflicts or transform them in the ultimate warrior race with no free will, waging war against all existence.

I'm reading up on Olga's dad, and man, that dude is a fuckup of a human being, in best Mage Association traditions.

Explains a lot about her, I guess.

Does Taylor know what kinda shitbag he was, I wonder? Did Olga Marie tell her anything about him?

Y'know, for all the speculation on Servant Khepri or Beast Khepri or the like, I'm more curious about Servant Universe Skitter/Weaver/Khepri.

Is she, like, Dread Empress Space Khepri? Or is she an extended joke about superhero comics?

Servant Universe Taylor is a cheerful cult leader High Priestess of Queen Administrator-chan.
She is unnervingly positive and easygoing, always ready to help you out with advice or just a smidgen of indoctrination.

Her personal hobby is gathering all the Saberfaces and reconciling their screwed up family.

Soooo, Umbral Star 2 Electric Boogaloo?

More like Altera to Charles the Great.

Charlie has a lot of overlap, personality-wise, with Taylor.

She's the scary principle at the elementary school for all the child Servants.
Finally, all the children are working together.
