Harry And The Shipgirls: Prisoner of Shipping (A HP/KanColle Snippet Collection)

If one of you thinks that this is me pulling an ITG routine, I'm sorry. To me I'm just expressing my thoughts on a character who I hate as much as Olivia McKay and Umbridge (both of whom I hope get what's coming to them).

No HatSG Pansy Parkinson? :p Or Sieglinde Malafe?

Actually I do try to write my villains as a little more complex than 2D cackling evil. I will say that Pansy's heading for the edge of the Grand Canyon and just refuses to see it.

Pansey's just an idiot who's messing with an Artifact of DOOM. Sieglinde might be nasty, and a Nazi collaborator, but I haven't seen her actually go out of her way to make people's lives hell simply because she enjoys to inflict pain on others. So I don't really find myself hating them.

Ichiro-the-racist-scumbag however, is like Umbridge. Who is the most HATED character in HP canon. She's hated more than Mort. Why? As one guy said, her motive is simple petty spite, classism, and an enjoyment of other's suffering. She had no grand goal, no reason for inflicting the pain she did other than that she enjoyed it, and it was against someone she considered to be a "lesser", and she did so to a character the reader cares about. Ichiro is similar to her except from what I saw he didn't have any classism, he was just a racist. And he wanted to get into power in the Tokyo government.

but I haven't seen her actually go out of her way to make people's lives hell simply because she enjoys to inflict pain on others

I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but she does. The reason it's not shown is that if Seiglinde was shown doing the kind of things she would it she got the chance, it would run right into the rules against ITG behaviour.

It seems to be the older families that tend to drift into the take them all out (Olivia McKay being a prime example, she killed her own daughter and framed her son-in-law for it. On second thought, no she's not a good example of anything other then a pychopath!)

Not quite correct. You're right that Olivia framed her son-in-law for murdering his wife, but Anna went down fighting a pack of werewolves. Took most of them with her.

As an aside...
It's a design that was considered during Vietnam when they needed fire support. And being as it does use the same guns as the Iowa class...

Well, now she's officially on my "I wish I could punch this fictional character because they're just that horrible" list.

Not quite correct. You're right that Olivia framed her son-in-law for murdering his wife, but Anna went down fighting a pack of werewolves. Took most of them with her.
Either way, I hope that Tatsuya and his friends do something about her. It would be interesting if she becomes affected by Tatsuya's geas and goes after him without realizing what that means. Because that would mean that she's became the very thing she's been fighting.

And I don't mean to make you mad, but honestly? The best way to I can think of to handle someone with an alien mindset like The Morgan (who's a fae if I remember correctly)? I say that Tatsuya shouldn't kill her, all he needs to do is make her see what her "Select" have had to go through from their point of view.

You may want to adjust the date referred to as in the last few years because while the SOS is on it's last legs - Boss Kaiju is the one that says when it falls.

My bad, I miss-remembered. Although I wouldn't put it past her to have given incomplete information to her daughter (If indeed she's the one that got the info in the first place) Something on the order of 'I saw 4 werewolves' and ignoring that she heard 6 more in the barn. After all she wanted control of her granddaughter if her mother died.

What geas? Being Selected basically makes you and your family line into supervillain magnets. There is absolutely no compulsion to fight--the Morrigan specifically tests people to see whether they will jump in to dangerous situations like that or not before Selecting them.

I thought it said somewhere that that was how she made people a weirdness magnet. By using magic to place a geas on their family that causes magicals and magical life forms to be attracted to them. If it's not that, then what would be the exact methods used on people to make them Select?

Well I'll also note that Siggy was one of Grindlewald 's top researcher and using SS concentrattion camp inmates as 'raw materials' for that (like some of the shit done IRL by Mengele and so on).

Interesting, and makes a lot of sense, here.

Well we have word of God on the Select here.

If Ehren drives anything close to Sabine Schmitz, then she's one hell of a driver.

Rest in Peace Sabine, Master of the Nürburgring Nordschliefe, the Green Hell.

Pretty much that, yes. Ehren got trained to combat drive by Jackie and one of the top schools for 'offensive driving'.

The way it works, as I understand it, is that it subtly coaxes the monsters, especially those that want to hurt humans, to congregate around the vicinity of the Select. What happens next is up to those involved, with the Morrigan preferring a knock-down, drag-out brawl that leaves the monster dead and no longer capable of being a threat to anyone (See her disappointed acceptance of Frankie, IIRC, talking down the enraged Nue mother.).

A Farewell To Kami

Takamagahara

30 October, 2014

"I'll miss you." Colombe croaked out, then sniffled away her mingled tears of joy and sorrow.

Her Papa hugged her to him once more before he stepped away to allow Julie d'Aubigny a turn at hugging her child. "I know, ma petit pousinette. I know." His face split in an incredibly proud smile. "I'll miss you too until you can return to me -- with my granddaughters in tow next time!" His loving voice grew stern and he waggled a finger at her mock-chidingly.

Colombe laughed despite herself, then blinked as her mother handed her a T-shirt after releasing the hug. She looked at the brightly colored logo on it and stared.

"Kami-Con 2014, Maman?"

Julie elbowed her in the ribs. "Yep! We had these T-shirts made for all the participants, Colombe. It's a new tradition, this is the second year since we have done this."

Colombe got a crooked grin, then pulled on her T-shirt. "Right, so what now?"

Julie laughed. "A really big-ass party to celebrate the end of another Kannazuki and the beginning of the next year. That lets us all put our hair all the way down and relax before we get back on the job."

Colombe smirked as Toku, also wearing a Kami-Con 2014 T-shirt joined her, trailed by Tsukino and Tsukiko who were wearing their own convention outfits. "Then let's make this party one for the record books!"

31 October, 2014

Colombe smirked smugly at the undead Mizuchi in the biker leathers who was chugging sake straight from the bottle. Jin belched and gave her a toothy grin as the groaning Oni whom she had just defeated in her last match left the table while flexing an arm and shoulder gingerly.

Colombe then sat down and rolled up her sleeve, before plopping her right elbow on the table between them. "I'll have you know, I learned how to do this in Persia." Her smug smile showed all her teeth as she wiggled her fingers.

Jin gave a matching grin as the judge used a leather strap to tie their wrists together after they clasped hands. "Big words Blondie! But now you face the Undefeated Adachi Annihilator!"

"Sempai no...." Shiromizu moaned as the contestants focused on each other.

"Sempai yes, always sempai yes!" Jin laughed out.

The crowd of kami, spirits, oni, ghosts and other spectators roared and began to chant. "FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!" as the final round of the arm wrestling tournament got under way.

The Muramasa rapier and undead Mizuchi threw everything they had into competing for their shot at the prize, straining against each other.

--------------------------------

Toku hugged Colombe as the rapier made her way through the partying crowd. "How'd you do it, Colombe. Jin-san is a Mizuchi after all?"

Colombe smirked. "Skill and technique more than raw power. I hooked her wrist with my grip to negate her raw power advantage and was able to force her to the table thanks to Qi manipulation boosting my strength and some of the Persian techniques. Although," the rapier spirit winced as she rubbed her throbbing arm, "I was about to collapse, I had to burn my energy reserves massively to pull it off."

"Hai, still you did upset the reigning champion. She's going to gun for you next year, you know." Toku said with a proud smile.

Colombe grinned. "Well she can wait a year. Where's Maman?"

Toku sighed and shook her head with a blush. "She and Norimune dragged each other off."

Colombe chuckled. "Which means I will see them both with love bites the next time I expect." She sat down on a nearby bench and Toku joined her. "It's hard to believe that it has only been a month. Poupou, Maman, Ian, Lyra, Hachiman, Father, Grandfather...."

Toku leaned in and hugged Colombe, letting her Co-chan relax into her loving embrace. "Hai. My meeting Chichi-ue. Being acknowledged by him as a worthy step along his pursuit of perfection in our family. Recognition as the Blades of Hachiman that we were intended to be. Sparring with the hero who first introduced me to the Way of the Sword as a novice...."

Colombe smirked at the miko, reading the reason for her subtle blush. "Allowing him to use your true body to spar against me last week. How long had you dreamed of that, To-chan?"

Toku's blush deepened. "Ever since I met him in 1611. One of my secret regrets for centuries was the path not taken back then. I had so wished to join him and Musashi-nee on their pilgrimage to find themselves by finding the Way. But my duty kept me in the shrine." Toku laughed and shook her head. "As it turned out, I had my own path of self-discovery, self-perfection, and self-enlightenment that I did not see clearly then. Musashi's path of the Way is not my path to perfection, nor is mine hers. Something that Chichi-ue helped me understand when we shared tea and admired his garden."

Colombe nodded along with that. "I confess that I didn't know what to expect from your father before I met him. He seems to me to be... wise. Like many of my teachers over the centuries. And yet with humility under the insight and undoubted skill and genius." She shook her head. "I see him in you now that I know what to look for."

Toku smiled and kissed Colombe. "Just as I see your Papa and mother in you now. I knew some of him from your stories and much more from your life experiences, but he is a great man indeed. Only a nobleman of surpassing greatness and nobility could have raised you to become the heroine that you are, Co-chan."

Colombe kissed Toku back. "I concede the point, To-chan." She then cocked her head. "Do you need my help to assist Tsukino and Tsukiko to transition over?"

Toku shook her head. "Such might be needed but not at this time. Once their new bodies are forged for their spirits to inhabit, I shall return to the Spiritual realm, pick them up, and then return to the Hachimangu where they shall be enshrined as subordinate kami and servants of Hachiman as I am. I should be able to manage that, and I shall notify you if matters need your skills." She cocked her head. "And White Buffalo Calf Woman?"

Colombe sighed. "Will be initiating Ehren as a Medicine Woman on the full Moon, November 6th. Also I'm supposed to take her with me to Poland, and if you're free I'd like to have you come along with us. Reading between the lines, the Magical Sejm is really worried about something, and it's likely to be messy."

"Naturally. It always is 'messy' when you need to kick over rocks to destroy the evil that festered underneath them. Still those are our duties for when we pass back through the gate, descend Ama-no-ukihashi, and depart Takamagahara to resume our earthly duties." Toku smiled as they stood to rejoin the party. "The duties for tomorrow are tomorrow's duties; tonight we celebrate then when tomorrow comes, you need but ask and my steel stands with yours, Co-chan."

Brant sighed as he settled into the bathtub. Most Americans would not think of a soak in a normal, household bath to be something luxurious. However, most Americans hadn't just finished spending seven years without access to the modern accoutrements that were taken for granted, such as shampoo and body wash.

Looking at the water, he hummed in mild annoyance. While he had bathed daily on Cerna, the hand-made soap the Gorgons produced and used just couldn't do as good a job at cutting through dirt and grime as the industrially-made stuff. Something that was evidenced by the fact that the water he was sitting in was darkened with debris to the point that the bottom of the tub was no longer visible. His first job as a janitor had taught him that water in that state was now useless for cleaning.

With a sigh, he got out and began the process of changing out the water. As he did so, he began to sing. "~Hide, from the public eye./ Choose to appear when it suits you.~"

After a second soak, he had finished the first song and switched to another as he got out of the bath and dried himself off. "~When the war/ has been won,/ and our march home begins,/ what awaits has not been reve-~" He stopped as he saw that the boxers he'd placed at the base of the door were gone. Carefully opening the door, he saw Medusa resting on a stack of her coils with her chin propped up on the heels of her palms.

"Oh don't mind me. Sing on, my Orpheus~."

He blushed, whether at the compliment or something else he was unsure, but cleared his throat and pointed. "Can I get dressed a little, first?"

When she had coiled up, she had accidentally yanked his boxers out from under the door and they were now pinned underneath the pile of scale and muscle. Medusa looked pointedly at them, then returned her gaze to Brant's with a smile that sent a bit of a chill down his spine. "How about no?" She lunged and wrapped her arms around his chest, picked him up, and loosened her scales to form a cavity she deposited him in. "Now, about that singing?"

Evidently, her moving his boxers wasn't an accident. He sighed with a small smile. "I'm afraid I don't know many gentle songs; most of the ones I have memorized are those of warfare."

"The sagas of War and heroes make for the greatest stories."

"You won't understand them, as they're all after your time."

She rested her chest on his shoulders and her chin on his head. "Music transcends understanding. I'll know what it means."

After an exploratory wiggle that revealed he had absolutely no room to move, he sighed in defeat. "You're not going to let me go until I sing for you, are you?"

From the way her chin pressed into his scalp, he could tell she was smiling. "Nope!"

Another sigh. "~American girls, and American guys, will always stand up and salute…~"

The night after he stumbled across the ladies trying to mark their territory in regards to him, Brant found himself laying on the bed web when Anitza climbed in beside him. "Hey."

"Hey yourself." She hugged him with all her six arms. After a moment, she continued, "Why did you notice her feelings for you?"

He sighed, even his stunted empathy knowing that the truth was going to hurt. "I lived with her every day for seven years."

Anitza clambered atop him, her uppermost arms grabbing his shoulders and the rest grasping his sides. "Then why didn't you notice mine after fifteen?!"

He remembered how they became friends, sixteen years earlier when both of them entered their Junior Year of high school. She had been clumsy, lonely, and a bit shy (though he would later find that the last was partly because she could feel the Select mark on his soul and was afraid). Of course, being both new and different had done her no favors.

In the course of classes and lunch, they had found themselves interacting more and more, even through his less-than-social nature. Eventually, they got to talking and discovered that they had a number of shared interests, especially in terms of games and TV shows. Their discussions about said interests blossomed into a friendship that had lasted ever since.

"I am probably one of the most romantically dense pieces of crap you'll ever meet."
__________

In Yokosuka, Japan, a young man with messy black hair and green eyes sneezed.
__________

"It took me six years of living with her practically all day, every day for me to learn about Medusa's feelings, and it was only that little time because her patience ran out and she outright told me. With you, I'd become certain that romance would be impossible for me, not that I'd developed any real interest in it, when monsters began coming after me after high school."

The spider girl had settled down to lay on his chest and nodded. "I remember that. What was it? After our second or third battle together when I revealed myself to you?"

"During the third. My first werewolf. You restrained it with your webbing long enough for me to put a bullet through its skull."

"And then, after a tense moment where you pointed that gun at me, I bandaged your wounds with more silk."

"Dosed with a tiny amount of your venom to dull the pain and kill the infection. Worked surprisingly well."

She rolled over and propped herself up on her side. "Why do you always remember the stuff that sounds worse?"

"Tends to stick better."

"Is that so~?" She crawled atop him, again. "Then Medusa and I will need do our best so that the good things stick better from now on."

He gulped at the suggestive tone of her voice.

In a small portion of the backyard hidden from most outside view by an attached shed, the two women basked in the afternoon Arizona sun.

"So, you really are the Medusa of legend?" Anitza asked from her hammock.

From where she sat against the house wall, Medusa waggled her hand. "Yes and no. Yes in that I am the Priestess of Athena who Poseidon raped, and Athena changed my form to this in response, along with my sisters Stheno and Euryale. Yes, we could turn people to stone. Yes, I had two children from the rape, Pegasus and Chrysaor. However, most of the rest of the myth is actually about my niece."

Anitza sat up. "Your niece? When did your sisters have kids?"

"Stheno was pregnant by her own husband when she was transformed. Triplets, amusingly enough, and she named them all after us. Unfortunately, Medusa the Younger hated our exile, even when we let our children live on another island in the Aegean. She hated how she had the bad luck to be the most snake-like of her sisters. She hated a lot of things, really, but what she hated most of all was the world that had, in her words, 'shat all over us.'

"In time, that hatred turned into a consuming darkness. She studied my and my sisters' stone gaze and figured out a way to apply it to herself to an even greater degree; anyone not of blood relation who looked into her eyes would transform, not just those with impure thoughts. She sought to leave the island for the mainland, but we were able to convince Poseidon to destroy any raft she tried to sail. She imprisoned her cousins with a plan to use them to breed an army of daughters to conquer Greece; after months of their refusal, she ate them both. In her post-meal catatonia was when Perseus arrived and took her head, as well as cutting the boys free."

"Huh. So that's where the myth of those two springing from her neck came from."

"Probably. So, what's your story?"

Anitza waved her off. "There's not much to tell, certainly not as much as you. Grew up on a Reservation. Went to high school at seventeen. Met Brant. Been friends, with a hope for something more, ever since."

"'Reservation?'"

"Right. You've probably never seen or heard of anything like them." The spider sighed. "Okay. History lesson: In the 1800s, the U.S.A. was a new nation flexing its muscles. Being of European descent, they decided that their primary target would be the people who were already here, the Native Americans. Near the end of the century, by either killing or treaty, they'd kicked most of the natives off their traditional lands. Then some bright spark said, 'Hey, we shouldn't genocide all of these people!' and the Reservation system was created. Places where we could live until we could get converted into good little Americans, no different than the White Man except for our appearance. Then World War 2 came, and the Navajo, especially, proved how our traditions and languages still have a place in the world. So the Reservations transitioned into our new lands."

"Huh."

"'Huh?!' That's all you have to say about that?!"

"Honey, I lived in Greece back when the Gods still walked around freely. We did worse shit to each other all the time."

Anitza could not retort to that. Not for a lack of desire to, for she very much wanted to emphatically state the inverse, but she couldn't find the words before something else stole her attention. For it was at that moment that a yawn pushed its way out of Medusa, revealing just how snake-like her jaws were, cracking open almost all the way back to her ears and her jaw splitting slightly as it was pressed against her chin. "Whoa."

Her mouth clicking back into place, the snake looked over. "Hmm? What is it?"

"How much of your biology is snake? I mean, can you eat big things whole?" Anitza's cheeks were tinted with a dusting of red.

Medusa blinked before groaning and throwing an arm over her eyes. "Please don't tell me you're like Risin with her desire to be eaten over and over. In fact, please go back to talking about yourself before this conversation gets unsettling."

"...Fine. Well, as I mentioned, I grew up on the Reservation for the Hopi tribes. My childhood was boring, though we didn't really lack for anything on either side of the Statute thanks to Mom selling clothes made out of her silk. Amusingly, this includes Ilvermorny Prefects' robes. Dad's human, and Mom's technically a goddess without a role due to being the daughter of two local spider deities." She paused. "I met Brant when we went to the same school, and we've been friends ever since. I wanted it to be more, but he didn't pick up on my feelings until he came home with you in tow."

Medusa bowed her head. "I apologise for that, but, look at it this way. If he hadn't been brought to the shores of my island, he might still be oblivious, and I would still be exiled there."

Anitza nodded in return. "That is true. Still, there is one curse we both will share."

"What do you mean?"

"Both of us have been granted exceptional longevity by the nature of what we are." She looked toward the house. "Brant very much has not. He will be bones and dust before we pass."

"That is unfortunately true. However, we shouldn't focus on that and instead cherish the time we'll have."

"That is true. I guess long life comes with great wisdom."

"As does having been the Head Priestess of the Goddess of such."

"Hmm." The Spider climbed off her hammock and leaned in. "Oh, by the way, I am."

It took Medusa a moment to parse the cryptic statement, but, when she did, she couldn't uncoil her body fast enough. "I told you not to, you little-"

Anitza's cackling was all the snake caught as they dashed inside.
__________
__________

Brant hummed along to one of the songs from the new Sabaton album that his friends had bought him as a "Welcome home" present while he put the finishing touches on the dish he was preparing. He chopped up a small handful of half-finger-sized turkey sausages and spread them around as evenly as he could, at which point the pizza went into the oven.

Almost immediately afterwards, the microwave beeped, and he withdrew the crispy breaded turkey breast, which he dusted with Anitza's favorite flavoring. Then the turkey went back into the microwave so that it could retain its heat.

A click and a clunk signaled that both main components of his turkey burger were ready, and he unplugged both the grill (Thank you, George Foreman.) and the toaster and began to set the table. Well, "set" was a rather strong word for what he did, as it was little more than removing the refrigerated condiments from the fridge and placed them in the middle of the table. Nodding to himself, he took all of the food out of their respective cooking devices and placed them on plates on the table. That done, he walked over to the screen door and opened it.

His instincts roared at him, and he dodged out of the way, just in time to avoid being flattened as a cackling Anitza charged through, followed by a livid Medusa. "Damn degenerate harlot!"

"What's going on?"

"Oh, we just had a small disagreement about certain interests," Anitza replied with a wink.

Mental note: Never let Medusa know about certain fetishes. "Well, I was about to tell you both that dinner's ready. Wash up."

"I call dibs on the bathroom sink!"
__________

Once everyone had washed themselves, they sat down as much as their biology would allow and began to eat. Medusa tilted her head as she looked at the turkey breast. "What is that black dust?"

As Anitza's mouth was too stuffed to talk, it was Brant who answered. "Coffee beans ground into a powder." At her confused expression, he elaborated. "They're the seeds of a plant from parts of Africa and Asia that the ancient Greeks never saw. They're valuable thanks to containing caffeine, a chemical that helps boost wakefulness." He looked at the spider girl who was gorging on her food with utter joy written across her features. "Of course, for spiders, caffeine acts like alcohol. She'll be clingy tonight."

"Hey! It'sh not 'clingy'! It's 'affectionate.''

"Don't be surprised if you find yourself bound up in webs, later."

"...Lovely."

A Gambit of Daggers and Serpents (VI)

Slytherin Common Room, Hogwarts

2nd November 2014

Draco smiled at the sight of the brown haired Carrow twins and made his way to them. "Flora, Hestia, how has your day been?"

The twin girls shared one of those silent communications as they looked at each other. "Quite good, Lord Malfoy." they chorused.

"As I promised, my class notes on the Freezing Charm. Professor Flitwick had questions about it on the third Year Charms exam last year, so this may be helpful." Draco handed over several handwritten sheets of parchment.

Flora Carrow took them, glanced at the top page, and her eyes widened as she read the slip of parchment stuck to it in a different handwriting than the rest.

'Death Eater sympathizers present at Hogwarts. Am identifying to neutralize. D. has details. E. duC.'

"Thank you Lord Malfoy, that will be quite helpful to us." Flora said as she folded the papers over and placed them in her purse. She glanced at her sister for another moment of silent twin communion. Then the Carrow twins nodded and smiled as one. "So, what do you think the first task of the Triwizard Tournament will be, Lord Malfoy? Hestia and I think it will involve Acromantulas from the Forbidden Forest...."

----------------------------------

Slytherin Fourth Year Boys' Dorm, Hogwarts

2nd November 2014

Draco reached into his pocket after a glance around the room. Crabbe and Goyle were pigging out on the Jellied Slugs that he had picked up for them while admiring the centerfold 'Nunnery Lamb of the Month' in the 'playwizard's magazine' that he had picked up in Hogsmeade and then lent them. Theodore Nott had joined them to admire the October Lamb's... twin pumpkins. Meanwhile Blaise Zabini was reading a novel in bed.

His lips curled in a smug smirk as he slid Ehren's true body out from his pants pocket and stuffed her under his pillow.

No one looked his way or otherwise noticed.

With that in mind, he hummed a catchy jazz tune that Nimue had introduced him to and Claire had covered during her visit to Malfoy Manor as he got ready for bed.

3rd November 2014

The waxing moon shone through the skylight to illuminate the sleeping face of the blond-haired young man in his black silk pajamas embroidered with the emerald 'M' of the House of Malfoy.

He muttered in his sleep while he dreamed. "Johnston, Niobe, Cleo.... Ehren."

He then shifted restlessly, one hand finding the razor-sharp steel hidden underneath his pillow.

As he touched the hilt of the hidden dagger, he relaxed and fell deeper into dreamland.

The dorm was filled with the sound of sleeping boys.

Then between two eye-blinks, a young woman formed next to the bed of the sleeping Draco Malfoy. Ehren, dressed in a modest black dress, gave a gentle and protective smile while she straightened the covers that Draco had dislodged in his sleep, tucking him in.

Her hand hovered next to his where he grasped her hilt as she blushed and bit her lip.

Then she vanished as if she never had been, leaving only the echo of a heartfelt tender whisper in the crisp Middle German dialect of a Prussian Junker officer's daughter.

"Schöne Träume, Draco...."

Great Hall, Hogwarts

"Bonjour, Fleur!" Ehren called out as her young avatar entered into the Great Hall for breakfast.

"Bonjour, Ehren!" The French witch responded with a smile for her friend. "{What's up?}"

Ehren grinned. "{Draco bought a bunch of chocolates for me and my friends yesterday when he visited Honeydukes. More than I can eat, honestly. So I was wondering if I can swing by to visit you after classes are done for the day to drop them off? That way they won't go to waste, and you can introduce me to your friends from Beauxbatons.}"

Ehren's eyes lingered on the form of the dark haired French witch that she had seen in Taiyang's spell that showed Draco's memories of the Death Eaters he had overheard. Her eyes grew cold before she hid her true thoughts once more with the habit of long practice at deception. "{I'd like that, Fleur.}"

Fleur smiled. "{If I tried to prevent a delivery of chocolates to the other girls, I would be facing a revolution, Ehren. I do hope that you brought enough for everyone, though.}"

"{If I didn't, I'll just have Mutti and Claire bring enough Belgian chocolates for everyone.}" Ehren assured Fleur as the half-veela's eyes widened in delight. "{I got a owl from them last night, and they will be visiting here from the fourth to the ninth of November.}"

"{Tell me you'll introduce me to your mother!}" Fleur exclaimed with a grin.

"{Of course I will Fleur!}" Ehren reassured her before heading to sit with Draco at the Slytherin table for breakfast.

"I'm telling you, I don't know how Potter did it, but he did jigger the Cup to get selected," Draco said with an angry scowl, "and did you see that parade he, his shipgirls, and Abyssals put on?"

Ehren smirked and slid her hand under the table. "Indeed I did, Cousin Draco. It was... crass. Loud, flashy, overt. Threatening us all, the nerve!"

Theodore Nott nodded in agreement. "Just so, but that's Potter for you." he turned to the girl next to him. "So, Pansy, how do you think Potter beat the Age Line?"

Ehren slid her enchanted sheath into Draco's pants pocket, then squeezed his thigh to alert him that the equipment transfer had been made. Then she focused on Pansy Parkinson while sipping her coffee with her free hand.

"I don't know, Theodore. It worked well enough when du Chasteler crossed it and grew a beard. Isn't that right?" Pansy gave Ehren a challenging stare as she answered the question with a nasty cruel edge in her voice.

Ehren gave Pansy a challenging 'I know who did that to me, Bitch' stare. She then pantomimed stroking a beard and schooled her voice to a mock-elderly rasp with a clearly affected straight face. "Ja.... It worked well enough on me. It wasn't Aging Potion, though. Just ask me or Urgroßväter Fred and George Weasley, those junge Schurken! Kids these days, like that whippersnapper Albus Dumbledore!! Why when I was still a spry ninety winters old...."

The table broke up in howls of laughter at Ehren's impromptu comedy performance.

When Ehren's straight face finally broke down and she started to giggle, her eyes met Draco's. They shared a nod of triumph kept between themselves before returning to the conversation.

Author's note: For the German-impaired: "Schöne Träume, Draco...." is "Pleasant dreams, Draco". Urgroßväter is 'great-grandfathers' and junge Schurken is 'young rascals'.

A Gambit of Daggers and Serpents (VI)
*Snip
I'm pretty sure that Draco's actually a natural at misdirection and deception. Ehren definitely good, but she needed to be when she was being held by her vampiric old man.

After several minutes of discussion, Nagato remembered something and turned towards Harry, "If I remember correctly, you're going to be spending tomorrow with Natsumi, correct?"

Blinking some, Harry gave a small nod, "Hai, Mum. This weekend is one of the Hogsmeade Visits, mainly so that students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang can go and visit, with a second one in a week as scheduled. From what Natsumi-Chan told me, Taiyang will be coming along with her as she was interested in the town…" Frown, he shook his head, "Want me to cancel?"

However, the Battleship shook her head, "No, Harry. You won't need to cancel it since Taiyang will be able to help guard you." She then turned towards Regina, "Are you going to be going with them?"

Considering that for a few moments, the Abyssal shook her head, "Um, not until the afternoon. Lady Wanko stated that she wants to give me a check up as I am going to be having a long term mission."

The Abyssal Princess in question nodded and gave Regina a small smile, "Yes, it is… always good to… make sure that… all systems are… at peak functionality… thus… a full check… and tune up… Though… as you said… it should not… be more than… a few hours… before that happens… at which point… you can continue… to guard… Little Brother."

Right then, Harry gave a loud yawn and shook his head rapidly as he blinked, "Um, sorry about that."

Gently placing a hand on his shoulder, Regina tilted her head some, "Are you tired, Harry?"

Just rubbing at his eyes a little, the teenage wizard leaned into her hand before sighing some, "Yeah, just a little. I've been up now for… nearly sixteen hours after all."

Frown on her face, Shinano shook her head some, "That's not good, Harry-Chan. You do need a little sleep after all. Especially in a case like this where you need to be thinking clearly."

Lightly chuckling some, Harry shook his head with a small sigh, "I know, I know… But with all this? There's just so much that needs to be done that, well…" He made a gesture with one hand, "You know."

If anything, that got him yet more frowns from those there before Nagato sighed, "Harry? Go and get a short nap at least. We'll be able to handle anything and will tell you everything that you need to know once you get up later." Gently, she helped him to his feet before shooing him, "Now, you go and lay down for a bit so that you'll be able to sleep tonight."

His lips twitching some, the wizard gave her a small hug, "Okay, Mum. I'll see you when I wake up in a little bit."

Also getting up, Regina blushed a little at the looks which she got, "Um… I'll go with him and make sure that he gets some sleep as well…"

With a small chuckle, Wanko gave her a small nod as well as a knowing look, "Go ahead and… do so, Regina. Little Brother needs… some sleep considering… all that we need to do…that is ahead… of us." She then gestured to the others, We shall inform him… of what… we plan to… do once he… wakes up."

Simply nodding, the Re-Class smiled and helped Harry to his feet before leaving with him towards the Head Boy's bedroom. Once the door was closed, both of them sat down on the bed with Regina having a gentle expression on her face as she placed a hand on his shoulder, "Harry? How are you?"

It wasn't "Are you feeling okay?" Nor was it "Are you okay?" Rather, her question was how he was, which Harry appreciated as he chuckled before sighing and placing his face in his hands, "Honestly, Regina? I could be better." Raising his head, he looked at her directly and shook his head as his green eyes met her golden ones, "I'm just so… tired about this. Almost every year something happens around Hallowe'en and throws me into some plot of Tom's. Because the guy simple cannot leave me alone and…" Another sigh escaped from the teen, "I just don't know what to do. Is this all that my future will be? Continually fighting him off? Because he cannot stand that my Mother beat him?"

Feeling her eyes wet, Regina pulled him into a gentle hug, "I wish that you wouldn't need to deal with him, Harry. That you would be able to rest from this. If I could, I would make sure of it. But… you know what?"

With a deep breath, Harry looked up at her, "What?"

Her smile growing a touch, the Abyssal cupped his cheek, thumb brushing under his eye, "I know that in the end, you will beat him. Because it is you and… and you're so very strong. Stronger than he is, and stronger than almost anything else. And I believe that about you… and so does Shinano… and Hachi… and Louisiana… and Natsumi… and all the others. We know that you are more than strong enough to shoulder this burden. But…" Leaning down, she leaned her head against his, their noses touching, "But… while you are strong? We know that there will be times that you are tired. That you will sometimes stumble and trip under the weight of the burden that the world has unfairly placed upon your shoulders. And during those times… We will be there. When you are tired, we will shoulder those burdens to help you along. When you stumble or trip, we'll catch you. And when the time comes… we'll help throw those burdens off."

Looking into her eyes, Harry could see nothing but the purest honesty that was there. She believed in every word that she had said… she believed in him. And, thinking, he knew that the others did as well, which helped him find a little bit more strength. Softly smiling back, the wizard nodded a little, "Thank you, Regina…" Leaning forward a bit, his warm breath ghosted across her lips as she licked them, "Thank you."

And, with that, he gently kissed her, Regina closing her eyes as she enjoyed the feel of it, of him as he placed his hands on her hips. Neither deepened the kiss, because there was no need to. And when they pulled back, the bashful Re-Class nonetheless had a bright smile on her face, "You're welcome, Harry. You're always welcome."

That caused him to nod in reply and chuckle a little as he gave her another quick peck. Something that brought a happy expression to her face before she returned the peck with one of her own and a giggle, which caused Harry to grin some. Just a few seconds later, the teen stood up with a small sigh and shook his head, "Well… I suppose that Mum and the others were right and it would be a good idea to get ready for bed. So…"

Nodding, Regina poked him in the cheek as she stood as well with a soft smile on her face, "Exactly." With those words, she proceeded to take off her poncho/cloak and placed it on a nearby chair. An action that left her in just her usual bikini, which, as usual, caused Harry to swallow a little. Once she turned, Regina blinked and blushed a little as she titled her head, "Um… Harry? Shouldn't you get ready…?"

More than a little flustered at how he was staring, Harry coughed, "Uh, right, right… sorry about that." Standing as well, he reached for the buttons for his shirt before pausing for a moment. Not saying anything for a second or two, he turned back to Regina and looked at her before smiling, "You know, Regina… you really are beautiful."

Right then, the Abyssal went a deep red and poked her fingers together as steam wafted from her ears, "U-um… thank you." For her part, she watched as Harry undid his shirt buttons, placing the article of clothing on top of her own cloak, followed by his pants as he sighed. As he had done, her eyes traced over him, feeling the pressure in her steam lines spike a little, "Er… Harry?"

Blinking, Harry turned towards her, "Yeah, Regina? What is it?"

Lips curled into a smile, Regina kissed him for a few moments before pulling back with a shy, bashful look, "You're very handsome. And I'm glad that you're, um, my Admiral and Flagship."

Yet again, it was the teenage boy's turn to be flustered, but then he gave her a small smile and nodded before kissing her, "Thanks."

The two shared a small, happy smile before Regina pulled back the covers so that they could slip into the bed. Once Harry had climbed into bed, she followed and pulled the blankets back over them, "Harry? Could you, um… get onto your side?"

While curious, Harry just nodded a little, "Sure." Turning onto his side, he looked over his shoulder, "This good?"

Humming, the Re-Class moved until she was against him, pulling him close to her as she spooned him, with her being the big spoon and one of her legs over his, "Mm-hm."

Seconds later, her tail slipped over her and him until it was laying right in front of him, its head on the pillow. For a few seconds, they both blinked before sharing a look and giggling, Shaking his head, Harry's next actions caused Regina to blush alongside her tail as he pulled it close, cuddling it, "There… much better."

For a moment, Regina blinked before nodding, "Much better." Gently stroking his hair, she sighed before kissing the top of his head, "Pleasant dreams."

Already drifting off, Harry yawed a little as he smiled, "Mmm… with you, always."

Cheeks ablaze, the Abyssal stared at him before happily smiling and snuggling with him a bit more as she, too, drifted off.

Meanwhile, back in the "Common Room", Wanko also had a smile on her face as she noted the transmission from Regina before the Re-Class drifted off to sleep. She then brought her full attention back to the conversation, "So Little Brother… will be doing… an interview… with the Wizarding Wireless… then? On Monday… afternoon?"

With a nod, Nagato had a serious look on her face, "Hai, which is something that is extremely important." Seeing the confused looks from the Abyssals, she shook her head, "There will be a lot of rumors flying around about what happened. And there will be those who will, no doubt, attempt to use said rumors for their own purpose. Hence, we got an appointment with the same witch as last time to do a live interview. Mainly to try and kill as many of the rumors as possible."

Very slowly, Tanith nodded though she had a confused look on her face, "If you say so, Grandmother. Though I am unsure why still… but if you think that Uncle Harry needs this, very well."

Only shaking her head, Iku frowned some, "I wish that Naka-San was here, because she would explain it better. But… the thing is that there are those who would use this to hurt Harry in the eyes of the public. So if we get our version out, coming straight from his lips? It will cut a lot of their efforts off at the knees."

That got her nods of understanding as the various members of the Fleet of Laughter had somewhat confused looks on their faces. Yes, they understood some of it due to their own efforts with PR. But it still confused them about the whys regarding it.

Just a few hours later, once the Vanishing Cabinet was emplaced so that she could step through it and reach the one under Percy's house, and then through to Yokosuka before entering a final pair to the Timor Sea, Wanko sighed a little bit. Then, she blinked and looked around before frowning, "Where is… Revina?"

Both of them blinking, Rainy Spring and Clover looked at each other before the Destroyer Princess turned towards their superior, "Lady Wanko? She is back at Hogwarts still…"

Puzzled look on her face, the Destroyer Water Demon nodded, "Yeah, she said that she had business there for some reason… and you just nodded when she asked you."

Utter silence met that pronouncement for several seconds that stretched on for nearly a minute. Then, reaching up, Wanko pinched her nose and sighed, "… Because of course… she used the… fact that I was… distracted for such…" After a moment of thought, she shook her head before she began to walk, "Very well then… I suppose that… it won't… cause me too much… problems… if she chases… those two."

One could almost imagine question marks appearing above the two Destroyers' heads. But then they shook it off as Revina just being herself. And, besides… Revina was also one of their most loyal members and liked Harry as well, though mainly because he made her sister happy. Though they still wondered what their Princess meant by her chasing someone…

For Wanko, she continued to walk away from the Vanishing Cabinet, before Harbor Demon arrived, with Wanko giving her a nod, "You are wondering… what is going… on, Ruby?"

With a nod, Ruby frowned some as she bowed slightly, "Yes, Lady Wanko. As is most of the Fleet." Her eyes narrowed some and glowed slightly, "Do we know whom we are to kill yet?"

Just shaking her head, the Harbor Princess sighed, "No, not yet. But that will… come in time. And when it does… we will make… them regret threatening… Little Brother." She then fixed Ruby with a look, "Ruby… gather together the… available Flagships, Demons… and Princesses. We must discuss… what is happening… and will happen. I will speak with… Supprin myself… about a few matters… before the meeting."

Bowing deeply, Ruby nodded, "Yes, Lady Wanko, as you command."

Wanko watched her walk off for a few moments before giving a nod towards Rainy Spring and Clover, both of whom also went off to help Ruby. Then, she made her own way through until, several minutes later, she reached Supprin's office and knocked. She waited until a voice told her to come in and entered to find Supprin there blinking, "Supprin."

In reply, Supprin gave Wanko a bow, "Lady Wanko, how did it go? And can I be of assistance?"

Smiling slightly, the Harbor Princess walked in and sat down on the large chair that was there, it creaking beneath her weight, "It went as… well as could be… expected, I suppose. The foolish… magical politicians… still will not… redo the choosing… so Little Brother is stuck… the tournament still."

Only rubbing the side of her head, Supprin shook her head, "I was afraid of that, Lady Wanko. As was Percy…" Pausing, she chewed her lip a little, "You're not angry at him, are you?"

Relief appeared on her face as Wanko shook her head, "No, I am… not angry with… Percy. He has… tried to help… and thus I… do not lump… him in with the fools… that I am annoyed… at."

Just nodding, the Supply Depot Princess sighed, "That's a relief."

Unfortunately, moments later Wanko gained a smirk on her face, "Yes, I suppose… that it would… be a relief… to you. But you… might want to… help him find… some relief and… release some stress… soon."

A bright blush appeared on Supprin's face at that, "L-Lady Wanko!" Internally though, she was chewing her lip, 'Though I suppose that I could use that for an excuse…'

Eyebrow raised, the other Princess gave her a look that only caused the blush to deepen. Shaking her head, Wanko's smile vanished, "One good thing… has come from… this as Patty… has gifted this… to us."

She then pulled out a folder and handed it to Supprin who scanned it, looking over the design inside. For a few seconds, she hummed while rubbing her chin, "A version of the Bloodsucker modified for anti-shipping?" At the nod, the Supply Depot leaned back, "I can see why this would be useful. Bloodsuckers don't use a massive amount of resources compared to the Liberators. So we could churn them out in greater numbers, and since one of the Wo are due to ascend to a Airfield Demon… Yes, I can see why this would be very useful indeed due to what is happening in the Indian Ocean since it is looking ever more likely that she has survived."

Grimace on her face, Wanko nodded a little, "Yes… which is also why… I must know… if we have the resources… for large scale… production."

Running the numbers in her head, the other Princess nodded, "We do have the numbers, though we might need to lower the number of Nightmares. Still…" She tapped the papers in front of her, "These will vastly improve our ability to punch above our weight."

Frown on her face, Wanko gave a small nod, "That is very… good news as… we may need them… sooner than… we might like…"

Sigh escaping her, Supprin ran a hand through her hair, "Agreed. I hate it, but you're right."

With a slight nod, the Harbor Princess then cleared her throat, "In regards to… if you are… able to help… with the current… situation? I wish… to know if… design for the… mobile shore artillery… is now complete."

Looking at her for a few moments, Supprin got up and walked towards her filing cabinet before pulling out two folders. Making her way back to her desk, she set them down in front of Wanko before opening them, "Design work is done, though we still need to create the prototypes before we can begin production. Iron out all the bugs for them." Slight frown on her face, she met Wanko's gaze evenly, "You want to use them as guards, right? For Harry?"

Very slowly, Wanko nodded as she looked over the drawings, "Yes, because it… would allow for us… to use them… without too much… worry of them… breaking down at… an inopportune… time."

Just leaning back, the Supply Depot considered what she had just heard before nodding, "Makes sense, I suppose." Sitting back up, Supprin looked at the designs in front of her, "I would say that they're overkill for what you want, but then you did assign Regina to Harry. Frankly, having them do some tests before we produce them in numbers for the islands under our control will give me relief. Though, to be honest, I'm thankful that we were able to get so many design notes for those 'Rattes' that the humans had found. Duel eleven inch guns on a mobile platform will kill anything short of a Battleship and hurt even them…" A smirk then appeared on her face as she took the other folder and pushed it towards Wanko, "Which this version will be able to deal with."

Intrigued, Wanko opened the folder to reveal what looked like a massive tank, except where the other one had two main guns, this had just the one, though larger. Reading some of the notes, she raised an eyebrow, "Fifteen inch… gun?"

With a slow nod, Supprin smiled a little, "Yes, though it needed some work on stabilization and such. I did manage to find a few mentions in the notes that we got from Percy regarding one that was captured by the Allies at the end of the war. Still, if we use them on the shores of Timor Leste, we can free up Battleships and the like to hit at sea."

Lips curling into a small smile, the other Princess nodded, "Yes… which will be… a very nasty… surprise for… her if she… tries to attack…" She then looked up at Supprin, "And the other… project? Do we have… the resources for… it?"

Sucking her teeth some, Supprin gave a very small nod, "We do, since some of our scouts found a couple of sunken Container Ships. We're salvaging the containers themselves, which will give us a large amount of steel to make use of. Alongside the other projects, we should be able to lay down the first of the Self-propelled Dry Docks by January." She gave Wanko a look, "They'll only be able to hit twelve knots at top speed, but… they can handle any ship up to about fifty thousand tons. A definite game changer if Sub-Continental is around.'

Yet again, Wanko gave a sigh, "Let us hope… that the Princess… up in Yokosuka… is mistaken about… her mother being alive. But, if she… is… then I am afraid… we will need… every edge possible… in order to… survive alongside… our human and… shipgirl allies."

Rubbing her ring with her thumb, the Supply Depot Princess gave a small nod, "Agreed…"

You dropped a quotation mark in your Font setting.

Other than that, good work with the opening setup for Harry's guard force and some work with future defenses for the Timor Sea Fleet.
