-Well that nuke failed to kill the Symphogears. Think it might have wiped the facility they were decoding with though? Tsubasa's asshole 'grand'dad is going to be pissed.
-SONG opinion: They lost, badly. The explanation for the Ignite negation is apparently Philosophers stones holding the power of purification of ills. Given Ignite relies on the curse of Dainslef, they could just purge the curse; I'd suspect they'd do less well with that against Beserk Hibiki.
-Only good news is that Team Neo has managed to avoid permanent injury from using their Gears without LiNKER. Apparently using Gears without LiNKER hits Swansong levels of recoil, which makes sense given how Kanade got literally vaporised from using a Swansong with low levels of LiNKER in her system.
-Yep. Xemnas is pissed. Meanwhile, Tiki seems to be acting like a cat around Adam.
-...Why does Prelati have a spyfrog? Also, pfft at Adam reading a book on ANCIENT CIVILISATIONS.
-I think Adam bruised his ego not killing the Symphogears, they're back to being the Alchemists job. I don't think Adam learned from Fine's defeat. Here's to hoping Genjuro gets to actually fight this season.
-As I thought, the Americans have their own serial number scheme for their Gears. With Argetlam as i00 and Igalima as i02, I suspect Shul Shagala is i01.
-...Are ZABABA using their Gears without LiNKER again? Is this supposed to be extreme training?
-Maria's reaction: WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TWO DOING? Fortunately this seems to be the simulator arena from XD, so the simulation just disengages once Kirika collapses.
-Hibiki's getting the "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND" from Shirabe again after S2. This time it's slightly more justified, given how Hibiki's never had to deal with a low synch rate thanks to Gungnir fusion. Given 3.5, the best person from 2div to sympathise would probably be Chris, she's the only one who's had to work to raise synch like this.
-And we're finally cutting off the walking with death thanks to Elfnein. The bit she's had issues with is what part of the brain the Symphogear needs to connect to for lowest stress. I assume it's the love bits.
-...Apparently the Swansong abilities can manifest without a Swansong, albeit not apparently consciously. Last episode's glowing that I seem to have missed was Argetlam's energy manipulation subconsciously working to lower stress.
-Ver apparently left behind a brain scanner. Please don't tell me we're getting AI LAST ACTION HERO.
-While Maria and Elfnein risk death together, Xemnas is reaming the Kazanaris bar Tsubasa. Now he's properly showing up-Wait, no, he's reaming Tsubasa too. Fuck him. I think Tsubasa might have responded with an extremely polite fuck you as well, given how she directly rebutted his insult to her.
-Apparently Kirika's eating horrible flavors of...ice cream? to give Maria luck. SONG-or possibly someone else- apparently also shipping Stefan from EP1 to do what they can for his leg. Time for Chris's past to come to the forefront again.
-Of course Maria's mind is playing Serena's death song. It comes complete with a little Maria and Serena.
-AND NOW WE GET FLASHBACKS TO THE AMERICANS. Injuries carry to Elfnein, and Maria's about to head to combat training. Great news.
-The American's experiments really weren't ethical. And now memory-Noise are chasing someone with no defense. Can we please get a Gearwielder in this memory?
-Thank you real Maria. Unfortunately, we're apparently now in her subconsious-Did the Alchemists just send the Orochi at Tokyo? The Alchemists seem to have cribbed FINE's stealth plane tech.
-Ah, Lichte-brand Justice. Here's the sunk costs again. Her allies don't help her change her path.
-Hibiki's resolve has been strengthened. Those thirty seconds left when the credits are near end are awfully suspicious.
-VER WHAT THE FUCK. Well, less WHAT THE FUCK than the previous ressurections; this is basically Cognitive Ver far as I can tell, to take a term from Persona.

I mean, the entire reason that he's her biological father is because he wanted to keep his bloodline pure. So yeah, Tsubasa saying that she doesn't think blood matters at all is slapping that philosophy in the face.

Politely slapping. But still a slap.

I mean, they might not be going about this in the best manner, but given that their answer to the question of "we're not good enough, what do" was "train to git gud", I don't disagree with what they're doing. Even if they do learn how to manufacture LiNKER, raising their sync rates so that they need less LiNKER and maybe-possibly get to the point of not really needing it isn't a bad thing.

-VER WHAT THE FUCK. Well, less WHAT THE FUCK than the previous ressurections; this is basically Cognitive Ver far as I can tell, to take a term from Persona.

I honestly didn't think they would do this, but they did the absolute madmen.

-As I thought, the Americans have their own serial number scheme for their Gears. With Argetlam as i00 and Igalima as i02, I suspect Shul Shagala is i01.
Interestingly, Airgetlam is x00, not i00. Does that mean Black Gungnir is i00, or is that for Serena's Airgetlam before they repaired it? Or does that make it i03?

Given that Miku's Symphogear was made by Ver, i03 could very well be Shenshoujing
Given the keywords and Miku actually acting rather than reacting to Hibiki while having screentime, I'm hopeful we'll be able to find out directly.

Hibiki's second Gungnir is r03', guess that partially answers the question. It's a copy of r03, so of course they'd call it one.

-PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW THE HELL THEY CAN NEGATE IGNITE. IS THIS THE ANTI-LiNKER MENTIONED IN THE KEYWORDS?

Anti-LiNKER was what Kiraka used on Shirabe on board the Aircraft Carrier back in season 2 episode 9 to drop her out of synchronisation.

As long as we hold his memory in our hearts, Ver will never die.:V

Ver is of course the character most likely to try hijacking Fine's reincarnation technique.

-"HUMANITY CANNOT LIVE IN SUBJUGATION!" *proceeds to sic massive amounts of Noise on everyone* I see a determination to fist in the Alchemists future.
-LAST ACTION HERO is being his usual self in the cognitive realm. Maria's just exasperated. Elfnein confims my previous speculation that this is Cognitive Ver.
-Ver's refusing to play ball as a Spirit Guide on account of having already repeated this several times. AI YO.
-We need to go deeper. Meanwhile with NERV, rocket travel is returning from the shuttle scene.
-My initial assumption of Orochi seem to be mistaken. Given the pieces just formed into induvidual bigNoise, this is probably the Hydra.
-Going in different directions to seperate the Gears. After which, presumably, each Alchemist ambushes a Gear. Smart. Are the Harriers being sent in for quick extraction?
-Apparently Elfnein and Maria are now within Shadow Maria. Hedgehog's Dilemma seems to have reawakened trauma, and Elfnein is now seperated.
-...I think it's been a while since we've actually seen the S1 style of Hibiki pulling back the arm units. She usually uses rockets nowdays.
-The NERV trio is getting worn down. Theoretically easy pickings for Alchemists. Meanwhile within Shadow Maria, we're back to flashbacks.
-While Old Lady was an ass back in the early FIS days, she was an ass for a purpose, and really didn't like it. Also, I see guys in the LiNKER shots line. They're presumably not Gear-capable and are only there because they were potential Fine vessels, but Symphogears not necessarily restricted to girls?
-Piano version of Resshou Gungnir! Old Lady basically sacrificed herself bit by bit for the Receptor Children(who's survivors, incidentally, are now safe and under protection). Didn't exactly work out for her until they reached out their hand to others, if we apply a similar thing to the Alchemists, the same thing presumably happens. Probably Adam that's not aligned with Justice.
-Harshness forged Maria, and Ver repeats that the true secret to Symphogears is AI YO. Looks like Elfnein is off to whip up a batch of LiNKER.
-As expected, the Alchemists are sweeping in on the weakened Wielders. They've completely missed that their hearts are still strong, it's physical exhaustion that's the issue.
-OF COURSE THEY'RE TARGETING LYDIAN. Maybe a mistake, given that's going to have Bikki protecting Miku. "Believe in justice, and grip it tight" indeed.
-Hibiki goes for Ignite to blow through to Lydian. EXACTLY AS KEIKAKU for the Alchemists....except those Harriers have just ferried ZABABA to the battlefield.
-Some of those lyrics in Shirabe's new song are definitely yuri. Incidentally, last key ingredient was Oxytocin, which "plays a role in social bonding, sexual reproduction in both sexes, and during and after childbirth", to quote Wikipedia. TLDR: AI YO.
-Aaand they deployed Maria at Lydian just to catch out the incoming stuff. Meanwhile NOT AS PLANNED for Team Alchemist.
-Yeah, that song is about as subtle as Shenshoujin's. That airship's been Rider Kicked out of the sky.
-Last-second ambush foiled by Hibiki. She is not happy with Germain's philosophy of "TIME TO SACRIFICE LIVES FOR THE NEW WORLD ORDER".
-Alchemists still HARD WOMAN MAKING HARD DECISIONS. Still refuse to work with Symphogears.
-As predicted, their objective is the exact same as Fine's, they're just not blowing up the moon to do it. I'm not sure removing the Curse of Balal will actually do anything, it seems to be external factors wielding Noise that keep fucking things up, otherwise humanity seems to work fine without it.
-...Wait, is the Credit Song entirely in the Universal Language?
-Yep, far as I can tell, it's the Transformation Songs for everyone followed by the Swan Song.

...I'm starting to wonder if "By shedding many tears, the reality you face is...an eternally cruel conclusion" refers to the Alchemists, not the Symphogears that people have expected.

-"HUMANITY CANNOT LIVE IN SUBJUGATION!" *proceeds to sic massive amounts of Noise on everyone* I see a determination to fist in the Alchemists future.
You'd think having been around centuries, and seen how Hibiki responds to shit like that several times all ready, the Illuminati would realize that this isn't going to work :drevil:

I thought we already established that the Illuminati barely watched S3, why would they watch the others beyond "Oh, Fine's dead, time to steam ahead"?

-*blinks* Wait, why do the Alchemist's Faust Robes look like they have an open Symphogear pendant? I don't think this was on Carol.
-Apparently all human conflict is a result of the Curse of Balal. I'm calling bullshit, I'm pretty sure Fine's post-moon plans featured human conflict. Already covered how humanity doesn't necessarily need it removed.
-Adam's going to hijack the Lunar ruins for his own ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL purposes, isn't he?
Definition of sacrifice
  1. 1: an act of offering to a deity something precious; especially : the killing of a victim on an altar

  2. 2: something offered in sacrifice

  3. 3a : destruction or surrender of something for the sake of something else b : something given up or lost the sacrifices made by parents
-Germain, that is literally one of the dictionary definitions of sacrifice. You're hardmanning it as needed, but it's still a sacrifice for your 'new world order'.
-We can't dwell on the gaping flaws in her argument, Germain can shoot through swords. That actually interrupted Tsubasa's song.
-Well this fight is going well-DON'T USE IGNITE YOU IDIOTS, THEIR STUFF SPECIFICALLY REFLECTS THE STRAIN BACK ONTO YOU.
-Pros: we get a dual IGNITE scene for ZABABA. Cons: They get immediately taken out of the fight because you forgot they specifically counter IGNITE.
-This isn't the curse of Balal making Bikki not get it, Germain. It's you being a HARD WOMAN MAKING HARD DECISIONS.
-Wait a second, under this "ALL CONFLICT IS BALAL" theory, doesn't this make the Alchemists be the ones being whammied by it? Bikki's the one to try reaching out her hand, the Alchemists just can't realise they're playing bad guys.
-The alchemists continue their trend of having barely watched S3, with Germain using a lack of TRAUMATIC BACKSTORY as her latest YOU CAN'T UNDERSTAND justification. She also shouldn't be suprised at Bikki punching straight through her attack.
-And Germain just saved Bikki from a deflected attack. Presumably paying back Bikki not continuing her punch, but I think S2's whole thing with towing the moon back counters your assertion of VENGEANCE being the way to success.
-Heh. SONG are perfectly aware of Hibiki's habit of punching straight through the enemies strongest stuff.
-Ah, they want to use the leylines Carol used for dissection for their traditional use of MOAR POWER. Luckily for them it doesn't need a Holy Grail War to charge up.
-Back at home, Miku's doing the cooking, while Bikki seems to have been forced to knuckle down on the dread homework.
-....Is this supposed to be Beef Stroganoff?
-Flashback to Miku's not-so-traumatic backstory. Apparently she used to focus on winning. Bikki's helping out a random kid-
-Oh hey. What the fuck Japan returns. Apparently, drawing your abuse over a middle-schooler's bag is a perfectly logical thing to do.
-Seems what the fuck Japan is what brought Miku out of that mindset; rather, Hibiki EVERYTHING'S FINEing her way through that.
-I'm fully on board with Miku supporting Bikki not supporting sacrifice for the cause. If it's a rule that a sacrifice is required for hope, punch through that rule and seize hope anyway.
-Wait a second, isn't that Hibiki's Relic Cancer?
-Adam reaming the alchemists. Him specifying the power of God being in his hands doesn't keep off my portents of a hijack from him.

Saint-Germain, 2017
-The Alchemist Trio seem to like Adam about as much as me. Chances that Adam tries to stop their loyalty being specifically to Germain interfering in his blatant powergrab?
-Apparently they're incorporating Gungnir Cancer into the gears to counter the Philosopher's Stones; apparently they're opposites. My mental speculation for Gungnir cancer was admittedly MP Gungnir units in the far, far future, but it looks like each Gear will have half-a-dozen other relic bits in it by Season 10.
-Chris's TLDR: It's the Fool's Stone, because it came from a fool. I think the tarot meaning might be more appropiate here, and IIRC the episode title supports that.
-Yep, ARCANA NO 00. AKA the Fool. It's now the official name for Gungnir Cancer.
-Oh hey, time to head back to underwater storage to retrieve the cancer bits. Of course this is going to result in an attack again. No LAST ACTION HERO to save the Alchemists this time though.
-Please don't contradict me with a stinger. Anyway, thanks to Chris they're having to sort through debry. Admittedly securer than it was, but hard to retrieve stuff from.
-Wow. An attack. What a huge suprise.
-Catch-22. If you dodge the beams, the normal people kick it. Lovely.
-Awfully confident of your chances without Dainslef, aren't you? Didn't you get thrashed last time with three-against one?
-SONG's realised that too. Please tell me we're getting this season's ZABABA duet.
-How to defeat Caligstroto's Water Wall: MORE DAKKA.
-...Did they just glue Chris's arrow onto Kirika's scythe? Anyway, this is either the ZABABA duet or a mundane songswitch.
-This song is even more yuri combined.
-Okay, what the fuck, I can barely read this variant of the Combination Attack Style. I think it's ZABABA SUN AND MOON EXTREME BETA STYLE, but the subs decided to use a load of numbers instead of letters.
-Apparently downed Alchemists explode Toku-style? Anyway, ROCKET ARROW taking down one causes the other to bail to rescue them.
-Didn't even take an episode before Adam tries to get rid of Alchemists. He just suggested sacrificing one for more power for the ritual.
-No, he doesn't have any humanity left in him Germain. He's in this for personal power.
-I suspect Adam will just kill one of them anyway for the energy, even if they refuse. Question is, is this going to cause defections because the bosses don't properly get people and rely on being OP, or are we continuing with sunk cost fallacies?

And the Illumanati are conveniently forgetting that Hibiki's got a stellar track record in telling the curse of Balal to fuck right off.

She got through to Chris.
She got through to Fine.
She got through to Maria, Shirabe, and Kirika.
And she got through to Carol, leading to her saving Elfnine's life as the cost of her own.

Looks like they'll just have to get sense beaten into them like the previous villains.

The other way around, actually - Hibiki pulled Germain out of the way. Which is probably helping her cause of "talk to us we can work this out" because she actively went out of her way to help Germain.

Also, I love the callback to what Hibiki told Miku is S2 - that you can't use violence to make a world without it. This season really feels like it's nailing consistent and good characterization, though hopefully they won't drop the ball on it in the second half - though the Alchemist trio beyond Germain aren't getting much and while what we've gotten from Miku has been solid she's shown up all of...what, 3 or 4 times so far?

Adam may be about to short circuit that. Faced with the choice of offing one of the other alchemists, St Germain is at least thinking about whether he's right.

I think the intent is to hit the glowy things and blow the place to kingdom come.

So I was rewatching episode 1 and I saw the label on these tanks.

Hmmm, that sounds vaguely familiar somehow...

Looked these up out of curiosity. The G'Harne Fragments are pieces of tablets that recorded prehistory from the Cthulhu mythos. Trioxin 245 is what made the Zombies in Return of the Living Dead movie series. Grauswein is some kind of weapon from Wild Arms.

Ah. So it turns out that on top of the Alchemical weaponry the Val Verde dictatorship had, it was also experimenting with zombie-making chemicals. Given that Trioxine245 already makes zombies perfectly well, Dreioxine245 is probably a pants-shittingly terrifying substance to contaminate an area with.

Upside: Noise don't leave corpses behind and are basically immune to zombies!

Drei is German for three. You're over thinking this.
