AXZ #8
-Heh. The issue with searching through all the muck is that it risks falling in it. In any case, another fool found the Fool's Stone.
-And back to Chris's backstory again. Apparently Sonya and her brother want to see her before they leave.
-Yeah, Chris doesn't want to go. But never mind that, apparently it's Commander Training Time.
-Damnit, we've cut over to the Alchemists. Seems Caligstroto is agonising over Adam being a bastard.
-Oh hey, it's the sequel of the last VR training attempt. BUT THIS TIME, COMMANDER TAKES THE FIELD FOR THE FIRST TIME I REMEMBER SINCE S1!
-Wait, does this mean XD will eventually get a Commander boss fight? Complete with cutin cards?
-Apparently AUjuro's opinion on mainline Genjuro is shared by ZABABA. Maria down.
-And that's Bikki casually blocked and thrown away. Noise are literally the only reason Commander isn't fielded more often.
-WHAT THE HELL IS HE JUST CASUALLY CATCHING CHRIS'S MEGADEF PARTY MISSILES?! AND THROWING THEM BACK?!?
-...Ah. Genjuro is trying to get them to work as a six-woman team to bring him down, rather than individually attacking.
-And that's the entire team thrashed. And that was just the warmup.
-Back with the Alchemists at a shrine. This one we've seen before?
-Apparently the altar is materialising from Germain. An incidental fuck you to Adam by the way. And incoming Gear-Calig fight.
-Ah, so Tsubasa managed to convince Chris after all.
-...Y'know, I don't actually remember seeing Chris's parents before this flashback. She largely takes after her mother.
-Bloody terrrorists. Sneaking in explosives in the legitimate supplies of people trying to help people doesn't make you out to be good guys.
-OF BLOODY COURSE HISTORY DECIDES TO REPEAT ITSELF. THE ALCHEMISTS DON'T CARE AT ALL ABOUT CIVILIAN CASUALTIES. Probably going to be backfiring similarly to attacking Miku for Hibiki though.
-HISTORY REPEATS. Pretty sure Sonya and co are stuck under debry now.
-Of course, Chris now can't fire without hitting the building. Theoretically letting Caligstroto attack at will.
-Theoretically being the operative word, Caligstroto forgot about the reinforcements.
-And the reinforcements are off in a Barrier. Looks like we're getting the OP's first teamup.
-Damnit Maria, you already recieved that kind of thing from Genjuro. IGNITE might me an idea unless you want to save it for the unified Alchemists.
-And looks like Calig didn't count on the civilians being able to distract her. Stefan's not just going to sit by and let history repeat itself.
-And that speech from him's strengthened Chris's resolve. Time for the comeback.
-Caligstroto: NOT AS PLANNED. IGNITE, as I suspected from the music just before, is back!
-Huh. Are we going to get duets for each OP pair? Come to think of it, Chris and Maria are actually a good match for that; both define themselves a lot from their dark pasts.
-I think that's the actual principle behind this whole thing; compatible pairs to pull a ZABABA. Of course, I suspect ZABABA-likes are probably the most efficient-similar pairings for duo songs are probably ZWEI WING and MikuBikki-but this should probably be enough to take this boss down.
-Yep, Genjuro's confirmed that's the idea. But it's for universal compatability. They can pull this with any of their Gears.
-...Did Maria and Chris just combine into a vehicle? Incidentally apparently named after the song, [CHANGE THE FUTURE]
-And another Alchemist bites the dust. Caligstroto's apparently outright gone, so Adam's going to use Prelati for what I suspect is entirely power for himself. If not that, Germain will sacrifice herself for what turns out to be nothing.
-Well thanks for confirming the obvious, Adam. Germain's probably going to end up realising what Maria did about Ver way too late.
-I think Adam's wording is telling there. "Power on par with the old opressors" rather than "Power to free opression". 'Gates of heaven won't open to kindness' my ass.
-Yep, song name was Change The Future, as I suspected.

-And that's the entire team thrashed. And that was just the warmup.
Greatest fight scene of the entire season so far. Its incredibly difficult to top something this glorious.

Never before have I been so happy to see a grown man punch cute girls in the face!

The baka duo of Hibiki+Kirika seems like it could be pretty effective :V

-Apparently Gungnircancer doesn't supress all of the backlash, despite stopping Ignite from failing. CHANGE THE FUTURE is down for maintenance.
-Meanwhile, seems Team Quiet are having teething problems with their duo. Universal compatability has a way to go.
-Wait a second, are we going to get a Manager fightscene like the Genjuro one?
-YEP. Manager proceeds to Substitute out of the way of the Buzzsaw Kick.
-Right, Team Baka apparently has no issues, but Shirabe's too focused on her love for Kirika to be able to team. No prizes on guessing what this episode will be about.
-Shirabe, your song is outright telling you to stop lone wolfing. This is probably only going to result in Manager behind you.
-OGAWA DIED! YOU'RE NOT HUMAN!
-Okay, my mistake. This is substitution, the previous stuff was just illusions.
-Right, Edgebikki is apparently early Chris, now Shirabe is apparently early Tsubasa. So who's going to end up being Early Hibiki, AU Serena?:V
-IIRC this is Tsubasa's 'dad' on the screen? Anyway, there's apparently intel on where the Illuminati are going to kick off.
-As was guessable from last season, most shrines(and presumably similar religious places around the world) are plonked on the laylines. This Moon Shrine apparently has a relevant legend though.
-FLASHBACK NO JUTSU returns back to FIS, and I think I recognise those generic background characters from the last flashback.
-Right, apparently Shirabe's an amnesiac with a line-of-sight name. Something bad presumably happened for her actual name to be too bloodstained. Meanwhile, Kirika's birthday isn't technically her birthday.
-Bunnies guarding the shrine makes sense. Moon Rabbits.
-...The shrines draw out constellations? In any case, gods descending at the area in myth almost certianly stems from something (perhaps it's a teleportation spot to the Moon?), and it's presumably going to be thrown in reverse by Adam.
-Huh, Prelati's back in action. And she. Drinks. Milk.
-Caligstroto trusts Adam about as much as we all do, and she managed to relay the info to Prelati before she got Change The Future'd. Wonder if this will result in a Shirabe being pulled?
-Are the Illuminati going to be busting keystones like Carol did?
-I'm liking this head priest, he seems like a pretty cool guy.
-Right, Hedgehog's Dilemma from someone generally asocial. Is that some of the same fears Kirika had back when she thought she was Fine I see?
-Apparently Tiki wants to be a real girl because Adam obsession. This'll end well.
-Very well, given how Prelati is confronting Adam over his bullshit.
-To the surprise of absolutely noone, Less Heroic Ver wants the power for himself. Looks like he's counting on the Symphogears to kill off Prelati. And this isn't the Hibiki focus episode.
-Shirabe's run off, so it's Tsubasa's bike that's deployed to catch up.
-I see we're going for Justifaiz here. Prelati wants to get to Germain ASAP, she doesn't want to have to deal with Symphogears stopping her.
-Even Shirabe knows exactly who Tsubasa's referring to when comparing her past. For the corresponding XDU universe, this probably hits even harder because we see Kanade pull the exact same thing.
-HERE COMES THE SECOND DUET. Pretty sure that Tsubasa noticed something off when Prelati agreed about noone having divine power.
-And the duo attack: Racing Duet of Wind and Moon. Probably not the song name this time.
-Another one bites the dust. Saint-Germain's probably ending up killed for Adam's power trip.
-In case you hadn't noticed, Tiki isn't much less of an ass than Adam.
-There's a suspicious amount of time left at the start of the credits. My stinger senses are tingling.
-Not much to this stinger, just that the Symphogears know where Germain is now.

While people on SB and SV's symphogear threads aren't happy about the lack of communication between Alchemists and SONG, I'm a bit less harsh on it(like I was with Bikkidad) because I can see where it fits into the theming; the Illuminati's been consistent in being what the trio hate; for all they claim to want to break the Curse of Balal, they're the ones affected most for it, for all they want to stop opression, they're lead by an opressor who rules via migh.

In the end, after shedding many tears, the reality you face is an eternally cruel conclusion.

-Finedammit Germain, don't tell me you're going to sacrifice yourself for Adam's powertrip.
-Like Nui Harime, Tiki's cute facade hides that she's just as amoral as Adam. Given Adam presumably made her, makes sense.
-Holy Moon Ruins. Hibiki's summer homework has finally been conquered. Also, that is a bad Tiki pun in the episode title.
-Apparently it's Kaixa Day over in Symphogear land as well-Wait, no, that's in two days. I have a feeling Hibiki's birthday's going to end up on the climax.
-TsunChris.exe. Apparently ZABABA hadn't learned of Hibiki's birthday last season.
-The Orion Shrine Area's being outright evacuated because of the impending finale. At least they have warning this time. Speculation from Tsubasa is that they're trying to bring forth a god.
-NAZI SCIENCE apparently had a way to kill gods. Unfortunately Adam nuked it. The fact that Adam nuked it, however, indicates he's afraid of it coming out.
-I see Maria's going the same line of thought I am RE determination to fist. Tsubasa, however, notes Gungnir has no godslaying legends.
-Kirika's on a birthday party track. I'm dubious on the show's 'naive' track it's going down here; optimistic and naive are not the same things.
-THERE GOES THE SHRINE GUARDS, AS PREDICTED. Of course we're ending this on the Moon Shrine; this plan is Fine Boogaloo jacked by Ver Boogaloo. Also Germain is a Nudist too.
-YEP. GERMAIN'S SACRIFICING HERSELF. There goes Adam's last obstacle other than a good fisting.
-...Did the Illuminati fail to consider that the Japanese had something to stop leyline abuse? YEP. Once again, they fail to learn from a previous season.
-Wait a second, is that the Swansong melody in Gungnir's Irish style?
-I'm liking this intro to an assumed duo song. And nice callback there from Germain.
-Well this song is refuting Germain's worldveiw. At least, until it gets interrupted by Hydro Pump.
-GERMAIN IS A HARD WOMAN MAKING HARD DECISIONS. Also explicitly sunk cost fallacy.
-And Germain goes for Hibiki's heart. Unfortunately, she forgot that Hibiki's had thrusters since Season One. Don't get in melee range of the melee Gearwielder.
-Today's ridiculous Symphogear move: Attaching Hibiki to your foot to use her fists for a Rider Kick.
-Well this music isn't good. I don't think Germain's going to back down. Sunk cost. Even if she's become the opressor, she's sacrificed too much for her to consider stopping.
-Oooor that kick could've taken her energy out. That works too.
-Oh hey, piano version of Bikki's current song as she opens her hand. I think, like Fine, Hibiki's gotten through to her? Which presumably means it's time for Adam to ruin everything.
-Right on cue. Apparently the plan proceeded far enough to allow Adam to use the SPACE LINES.
-To the surprise of absolutely noone, Adam has no intention of breaking the chains of opression.
-And there he goes beaming things with over-wait a second, that sounds like a Swansong.
-WELP. Out goes Kirika for the finale. Meanwhile, Adam raises defeat flags by apparently being unstoppable once the ritual finishes.
-At the very least, Germain's now on their side. Took sunk cost getting aimed at Adam, though.

Honestly, this was largely obligatory fight and setup for a multi-episode final battle.

-And there he goes beaming things with over-wait a second, that sounds like a Swansong.
-WELP. Out goes Kirika for the finale. Meanwhile, Adam raises defeat flags by apparently being unstoppable once the ritual finishes.

She's coming back at least when everyone goes X-Drive. Maybe not before then, but she's definitely not out for the rest of the season, barring weird cliffhanger hijinks leading into S5.

You say that like it's a low chance, but this is the first time they've actually had advance notice that they'd actually get another season, so I wouldn't actually think it's that remote a possibility.

AXZ #11
-Good news: Kirika's out of there. That reduces the liabilities for collateral from the upcoming fisting-Wait, no, the civilians haven't finished evacuating.
-Hat beats gun, punch beats hat. Apparently Germain didn't expect Hibiki to protect her despite them currently being allied against Adam.
-Given how everything's gone according to keikaku, Adam's ego is understandable, but its consistency is going to cause issues when NOT AS PLANNED inevitably comes. Is this a new Bikki song, or a previous one?
-Seems to have just been the instrumental of a previous one-one of S2's, I think? Appropiate, given Adam takes Ver's beats and removes any 'heroic' motive.
-Wait no, we do get a new Bikki song. Having got suddently caught by Thunderwave, Adam's got hit for what I believe is probably the first time since a presumabale Fine attack.
-Yes Chris, you have no room to judge on fighting alongside previous enemies.
-Adam interrupt. Never assume an enemy's down without overkill.
-Heh. Because of not watching S3 and getting blindsided by the cut leylines, Adam can't outright nuke them. This fight's on a time limit, but their chances are never none.
-And by forcing Adam to block a fisting, Germain gets the chance to slice open his arm! This is their chance-
-wait why the fuck is Adam a robot.
-Wait a second, does this mean that all the 'Adam isn't human' stuff was literal?

-
what the fuck did Tiki and Adam just gattai into a Yugioh monster?!
-No, Tiki just turned into a Yugioh monster. Apparently the divine power is a children's card game.
-Incidentally, current theorys on Adam: Either he's a rebelling robot judging by his reaction to being called a puppet, or this is a Zany Einzbern Plot.
-Adam, did you even watch the first episode of this season? Hibiki's already fisted a god.
-For a so-called Divine Weapon, all it seems to do is beamu. Powerful beamu, but still just beamu. The Fate crossover is clearly getting easier.
-Have more confidence in the determination to fist, you lot.
-Right, Adam's apparently a Precursor robot prototype discarded because 'too perfect'. He is now reminding me of Archimedes.
-Adam's missing that something perfect can't change or improve. Assuming the Precursors were benevolent, I assume what they wanted was something that could grow to unimaginable levels, rather than bask in its current level.
-SUPRISE FISTING. That off-blast took out the satellite they were using to monitor things. Bikki and Germain are on their own unless the Gears get fixed pronto.
-OH GODDMANIT WHAT IS IT NOW KAZANARI.
-:jackiechan:I see now. It's paranoid old Japanese people. Trying to stop the giant beam monster is not a bloody invasion. Especially when the only thing likely to be able to stop it are the Symphogears that live in your own bloody country.
-I have a sinking feeling that Old Man Kazanari is going to go up on my list. And this is up from the whole what the fuck with Tsubasa's parentage.
-'True Setinel'?! Fine was defeated by the symphogears. Frontier? Symphogears. Carol? Symphogears. You've done jack shit other than make their jobs harder.
-Unfortunately, Bikki's down and the scratch damage gets retconned. Now would be a good time for reinforcements or X-Drive.
-Your perfection is not the only kind of perfection Adam. That's literally spelt out in the Keywords.
-And we have a Mysterious Benefactor that's got the info through! The deicide spear appears to be, as some predicted, the Lancea Longini. But, more importantly, it didn't always have that power.
-Yggdrasil is apparently a thing now. As is legend bonus; thanks to the whole Trinity thing meaning the Lance is associated with killing gods, it kills god-
-Wait just a second.
-Checked. The relic being shown on-screen isn't Longinus. It's Gungnir. Which is apparently a jarn(?) spear bound to an unknown shaft with Yggdrasil wood.
-The Spear of Destiny Longinus and the Striking Spear Gugnir are apparently one and the same. Also predicted by some.
-And here's the traditional OP-as-end- (Later edit: Forgot, don't we still have two episodes to go? How the hell are they going to top this?)
-Wait why the fuck is Unlimited Beat playing?!
-Was XD's opening hinting at the plot of AXZ the whole damn time?!
-Adam is now armed and dangerous. Also: "Drown in your ideals and die."
-And that plane from back in Ep1/2 turned out to be the key thing they needed to figure it out. Also foreshadowing for Gungnir's power.
-Wait, is this from the remnants of Val Verde-Wait, no, this is someone who heard about the GX opening? Is this America?
-And there goes Adam's last-ditch attempt at UNLIMTED POWER to Bikki Drill Break.
-Wait, no. He's discarded Tiki like the ass he is now she's useless to his powertrip, and now wants to contain it in his arm. Looks like we're headed for X-Drive time once again.
Adam Kadmon (Primordial Man; also Adam Ila'a, אדם עילאה "supreme man"; abbreviated as א"ק, A"K) is the first spiritual World that came into being after the contraction of God's infinite light. Adam Kadmon is not the same as the physical, Adam Ha-Rishon (Adam, the first man), who God created from the dust. The spiritual realm of Adam Kadmon corresponds to the sefirah (divine attribute) of Keter("crown"). It is the divine will and program for subsequent creation.
So Adam is supposed to be the Biblical one like I suspected? In any case, he once again didn't do his research:
Nonetheless, Adam Kadmon is divine light without vessels, i.e., pure potential.
If you're perfect, you can't quite have further potential, can you?
-wait what is the stray power bypassing Adam? Pretty much what Adam just said.
-D-did Hibiki just absorb all that and go Super Saiyan?!
-No, she seems to have turned into a chrysalis/Holy Grail thing?! What the fuck?!
CLIFFHAAAAAANGEEEEER!

I think what the hell sums this up.

-And we have a Mysterious Benefactor that's got the info through! The deicide spear appears to be, as some predicted, the Lancea Longini. But, more importantly, it didn't always have that power.

Alright, everyone who somehow didn't guess that Hibiki would somehow get the god-killing power, raise your hand.

-:jackiechan:I see now. It's paranoid old Japanese people. Trying to stop the giant beam monster is not a bloody invasion. Especially when the only thing likely to be able to stop it are the Symphogears that live in your own bloody country.

-'True Setinel'?! Fine was defeated by the symphogears. Frontier? Symphogears. Carol? Symphogears. You've done jack shit other than make their jobs harder.

I get the impression that Old Man Kazanari is could kick Genjuro's ass six ways from Sunday with one leg, no arms, and on 72 hours of no sleep.

I'm not sure how that's going to help here, but I suspect he's going to take to the field in some capacity.

-D-did Hibiki just absorb all that and go Super Saiyan?!

He did however watch all of Hibiki's previous fights with alchemists in both this season and the previous one enough to know that trying to block her punches is a bad idea, and instead tries to just dodge everything.
The deicide spear appears to be, as some predicted, the Lancea Longini. But, more importantly, it didn't always have that power.
Now its really a Noble Phantasm! Getting its power from all the legends people make about it.

AXZ #12
-Last episode's cliffhanger was most definitely NOT AS KEIKAKU for Adam. Not going to stop him ploughing ahead, though. Now taking bets on how long it takes for a previous season to take him by suprise again.
-Ooor he could just teleport out. That works too.
-Two day timeskip. Hibiki's still a cocoon. Her birthday party's abandoned. UN's considering whether to intervene RE that, so expect more Old Man Kazanari asshatness shortly.
-...Okay, if they're considering nuking Bikki, that explains Kazanari's asshatness a bit more. Given SONG's supposed to be the vanguard, I suspect they're going to be using the tried-and-tested Symphogears first, though.
-Right. It's the US. Again. Using Tiki's stray beamu as an excuse. SONG's official marching orders(from Tsubasa's dad): Solve this before America fucks everything up.
-Song's anti-Bikki countermeasures: Miku. Pfft. Given XDU, it's not even wrong.:V
-And that's why Anti-LiNKER came up in the keywords: Elfnein's brewed up a batch. As far as I can tell, the idea is to forcibly kick the vessel out of sync.
-Pffthahahaha. Genjuro's ordering the guards to stop aiming their guns at Germain...because they'll just get in the way of the more effective Genjuro if she tries anything.
-And here's the expected Old Man asshaterry. Aiming everything at Bikki to destroy her. I see he didn't watch this season like the Illuminati failed to watch the previous; if Hibiki truly has the full divine power, nothing but a godslayer will harm her.
-Old Man Kazanari, please reexamine your own bloody history again. America isn't going to nuke the fuck out of the entire country, it's going to nuke the fuck out of Hibiki specifically. You are the fool, not Genjuro, and if you were still in charge NERV would probably be limited to literally Tsubasa.
-The thought counts, Miku, but I doubt your words are going to convince Asshat.
-Tsubasa's latest fuck you to good old Grandpa, however, seems to be making him apoplectic. I don't think he's realised that Japanese Culture is literally the only reason she has to listen to him.
-Oh goody, now they have to deal with Old Man Kazanari's attempts to fuck things up before they can stop Murica fucking things up. Thanks, asshat.
-:jackiechan:
-Why the fuck do you think conventional tank-size weapons are going to do a bloody thing?! They're less than useful against Gears, why do you think they'll work on this?! I'm hoping this mess kills any remaining influence this asshat has after SONG clean up his mess.
-It technically did damage, yes. But now you've just gone and triggered it. Once again, Congratulations.
-...This sounds like Berserker Hibiki. Apparently the divine power still takes the same form regardless of host.
-And the Symphogears are literally the only thing that saves Asshat's forces. Once again: Thanks for fucking things up.
-:facepalm:IDIOTS. YOU ARE INSANELY OUTGUNNED. UNLESS YOU FEEL LIKE DYING TO BEAMU, WITHDRAW YOU DAMN MORONS.
-And thank you Germain for providing a politically-viable excuse.
-Heh. Due to size, Tsubasa's using Thousand Falling Tears to pull off Shadow Weaving. Unfortunately, didn't work once the shadow went.
-Next step: Forcefield ribbons. Working-Wait, are those trucks giant Anti-LiNKER guns?!
-They're running out of time. Better hope this works.
-And there goes the barrier. And the AntiLinker seems to be getting burnt through quick. Shenshoujin would be really useful here.
-Wait, no, she's flipped it into LiNKER. And apparently that's as expected, which means they have a plan.
-The synch rate going up hastens fusion, so they're using the Anti-Linker cables to transmit the direct application of yuri. Ending's here and we're halfway through the episode, so something's going to happen.
-Ah, here's the predicted minimal-animation blank room. Stay tuned for the Symphogearless AU next episode.:V
-Yeah, the 'probably' in probably yuri is extremely dead.
-Please tell me this has hit Old Man Kazanari's influence, with the UN having trusted SONG enough for them to take a shot, and him having helped the situation jack shit-
-WHAT THE HELL MURICA. OR IS THIS SUPPOSED TO BE ADAM JACKING MURICA'S STUFF?
-Yep. I recognise that President from GATE screenshots. Finedamnit Trump.
-Congratulations, Old Man Kazanari. Maybe if you hadn't sent in the army, SONG could've handled this before Trump was an idiot.
-Wait a second, is this supposed to be a proper translation of the previous Alchemist Trio song, or the Alchemist version of a Swansong?
-Reports of the Alchemy Trio's death were greatly exaggerated. As far as I can tell, this is supposed to be their Godslaying Song?
-Bringing back to previous seasons, Fine and LAST ACTION HERO don't sing because they don't connect with others, Carol sings because she's actively rejecting connections. But regardless of HARD DECISIONS, the alchemist trio have those connections between eachother, and that's why they've got a song in the vein of Radiant Force and the like.
-I agree with Caligstroto's opinion here. This'd have been glorious to shove in the face of Adam, but at least they're punching Opression in the face with it, and they can always pull a temporary team with SONG for the purpose of taking down Adam.
-I think my swansong suspicion was right? They've dissolved into souldust, in any case-
-Oh bloody hell, Adam's went and shoved the divine energy into his arm as planned. One last dance, it seems.
-PFFTHAHAHAHAHAHA. Adam planned for the Symphogears showing, but he didn't plan for Tiki. And now, a determination to fist.
-See that face? That's all of Adam's dreams being shattered in a single punch.

Looks like next episode is pretty much cleanup on Adam.

Ahh, seeing Old Man Kazanari get so pissed at Tsubasa, and then Adam's at Hibiki ruining his plans again was incredibly satisfying :D

Best part(Or worst part). He doesn't even look worth X-driving on. Guess Fine was really laid back when she kicked their asses centuries ago. At least Carol had an ultimate lion mecha, while Fine had Kadingr and Nehushtan armor. G had the Nephilim which they had to seal to beat. This guy? None, doesn't even seem to have a fallback.

That's one of the big problems with this episode - after I watched it I did not feel hyped for the finale, precisely because it doesn't feel like there's a real threat around right now. Adam the group could probably beat with a six-gear Ignite song, and unless Hibiki can't just keep punching the divine power for some reason they can just keep him from being able to grab it until he's junk.

Last episode we had the cliffhanger of divine!Hibiki being born and fucking up everyone's day with divine power and that......went nowhere? It was resolved in half an episode. Then we had America launch a NUKE AT JAPAN WHAT THE FUCK WRITERS LETS HAVE AMERICAN UNILATERALLY DECIDE TO NUKE JAPAN THAT"S A FUCKING GREAT IDEA YEAH NO WAY THAT"S A FUCKING AWFUL THING TO HAVE HAPPEN NOPE NOT AT ALL DOES ANYONE ELSE REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED THE LAST TIME JAPAN GOT NUKED BY AMERICA THAT WAS A FANTASTIC TIME WASN"T IT for the sole purpose of killing off the Alchemists to keep cast bloat down.

And then it ends, like last episode did, with Adam trying to put the divine power into his arm and Hibiki interrupting it and stopping him from accomplishing that. We have gone full circle and ended where the last episode did, rendering the entire contents of this episode meaningless in the overarching plot of this season.

Congratulations, Symphogear. Your second-to-last episode was basically filler.

That being said I really like the Alchemist's song, especially now that I have the lyrics. It's exactly the kind of "fuck the world and everyone who tells me I can't" thing that resonates with me.

AXZ Finale
-I see Bikki is beating herself up over (former) enemy deaths.
-We've been over this already, Adam. Some humans may be asshats with or without the Curse of Balal, but Bikki's proved time and time again that it's possible to reach out your hand even with the Curse. Which is why I've been maintaining there's no need for removing it.
-Thanks for saying exactly what I would want to say, Bikki.
-And now, the traditional massive Noise fight.
-Huh, today's six-man song seems to be combining elements from all six battle songs.
-And Adam gets fisted-
-OOOR HE COULD TURN HIS ARM INTO A MONSTER.
-Once again, Adam fails to learn from history. Having turned himself into a Demon, Gudako is going to tear him apart for materials.:V
-"I REJECT MY HUMANITY, HIBIKI!"
-...Is this the first shots we've got of Symphogear's Precursors?
-Okay, why the hell was Adam's psychic phone ringing? Distraction?
-Germain, weren't you kinda dead?
-Despite the mocking about X-Drive, Adam just threw an energy blast at Hibiki. He never learns from mistakes, does he?
-Apparently they can't actually use this variety of energy, so Elfnein's diverting to Dainslef?
-Aaand an outright fireball, when they're already converting energy like that. You're an idiot who's incapable of adapting, Adam. Which makes sense given he's supposedly perfect already.
-AAAAND HERE'S THE OPENING. They're not even using Ignite, let alone X-Drive!
-That's a big missile-Aaand we are getting a fight at a concert hall. It's just not one with people.
-Wait a second, did Adam just nullify the power boost-no, recoil's hitting because Hibiki hasn't had her Gear patched.
-SO TIME TO COMBINE YOUR POWERS AS ONE. IIRC this is the same thing used for Glorious Break last season?
-Hibiki Infinity Style. That was unexpected. Expect more Kamen Rider jokes.
-Apparently we're checking off the different moves used. Kill Juliet, Blue Flash, Lunar Eclipse, and now Adam's grabbed her. Wonder what move the XDU version will use?
-So is the Annukai another name for the Custodians? In any case, looks like the S5 speculation is on point.
-Wait a second, isn't Cast Off an original Chris technique? Then again, I guess you can say that of all the Gear moves.
-Ghost Alchemists are back, and Hibiki is outright growling that activation phrase.
-Aaaand it's time for Gungnir Infinity Gold! Appearing only for this movieepisode!
-Waaait a second, isn't this Genjuro's ORAORAORAORA technique from the XDU opening? FORESHADOWIIIIIIIING!
-And after [EXTERMINATE] got substituted out for [GLORIOUS BREAK] last season, we're back to form now with [TESTAMENT]
-Yeah, you are not hope, Adam. All that was crushed was your opression.
-AAAND THERE GOES A CHUNK OF TOKYO AGAIN.
-Okay, apparently we're getting an explanation for Goddess Hibiki?
-Oh hey, this is the London cell from 3.5! Of course, the issue with decapitating the head is that you get a bunch of splinter groups.
-And there's the confirmation from Justinkal that it was America who launched the nuke. Once again, damnit Anime Trump. At least the other countries are going what the fuck.
-Oh damnit, Assshat Kazanari's now aiming for the power of the gods. I honestly trust the younger Kazanaris further than him.
-With everything over, Hibiki gets a (late) birthday party. Probably getting a free pass for missing school due to being a cocoon, too.
-Apparently this was funded by free gifts from Tomato Lady's farm. Tsubasa seems to like it.
-The game looks familar, but I can't quite place the console here. Presumably Generic?
-Tsubasa what the hell are you doing with the washing up?
-Hibiki, stop doubting, believe in justice and hold a determination to fist.
-Apparently we're reusing Niji Iro no Flugel for the last credits.
-STINGER! According to a later check of Zoid's twitter, all the information on screen is from the Keywords-presumably, this canonizes them.
-...Right. Shenshoujin is apparently more OP than thought. It cleanses all curses. Including the Curse of Balal. Doesn't really change my spiel on Hibiki, Fine was pre-Shenshoujin.
-Waaait a second, if we're attributing Hibiki's rapid progress to normal Wielder to this, doesn't this open Miku to Symphogear-using without canon issue?
-Welp. Mikugear is now a canon issue once again, rather than an XDU one. Explains why Miku only needed a bit of LiNKER to use AU Shenshoujin, though-there's a possibility that she didn't even need the LiNKER.

Cleanup on Adam done. Looks like this thread sleeps until S5 and/or Zesshoushinai.

-So is the Annukai another name for the Custodians? In any case, looks like the S5 speculation is on point.
Presumably yes. I actually recognized without looking up first that the Anunnaki are a group of Sumerian Gods.
Anunnaki - Wikipedia

Think how much Finé's plans would have changed if she knew it was capable of that.
