Well, no, that's a lie.

It's mostly for my benefit, so that, while I'm typing, I can just glance up to see what was decided and that character's particular voice.

Diplomacy of 0 can be taken two ways. Either its like taking candy from a baby, or its like reasoning with an angry grizzly bear once it decides it wants to eat you. :)

Mini-Action 8: Anachronism and Sailing

    • It did not take you long to discover why the third vessel was accompanying you. Indeed, you noticed it almost immediately. Namely, because she started waving at you from the forecastle of the wargalley, but such is beside the point.

    Apparently, your newest Knight-Captain of the Templars of Sigmar had felt the need to accompany you on your journey up the coast. The gesture was appreciated, but you hoped she would understand your motivations when it came to wedding the Arabyan. Still, at least the issue would be forced in the Emira's lands and not yours. Any collateral damage would be there, and not in Sudenberg.

    Rather resignedly, you make your decision.

    [ ] Let her continue to follow you and just ignore her presence.

    Making your decision, you indicate for the flag-bearers to begin signalling the fleet to come to a halt. As they do and the other two ships respond- thankfully- your direct the captain to take you in for a boarding.

    Thinking about it, this is probably the best possible time for this to happen.

    Well, that's not true. Putting it off indefinitely would have been the absolute best, but, with her having followed you, talking to her where the maximum collateral was two wargalleys was about as good as you could hope for.

    Eventually, your Captain aligns alongside the Witch-Hunter's ride, pulls in the oars, and sails to an almost gentle stop with anchoring ropes being thrown between the vessels to bind them together. A few boarding planks are put across the small chasm between the vessels and you begin to0 make you way over, only somewhat exasperated.

    A/N: I'll tell you guys what I told SB, this is your chance to share IC information and grill her over whatever sorts of things you guys wanna know.

    You don't have to give me a word-for-word quote, just a set of points you wanna go over, and I'll craft the conversation. Things like, "Tell the truth about why we're sailing" or "ask after why such a reduction in numbers in witch hunters" yah know? As many points as you wanna ask after.

    • I'm temped to say why the fuck are they here, since It's incredibly likely they would fuck up the meeting we are going to.
     
    If you guys so desire it, I can make the vote less freehand. Give you a list of topics and have you vote on how to approach them and such.
     
    The only topics I'd really consider urgent would be why she's following us, our aims in the heathen lands (ie, marriage, gradual conversion of the natives, etc.), what's up with her order in general (ie, the low numbers), and... that's pretty much it.
    Beyond that... not sure. Maybe an agreement on cooperation/coordination when dealing with external issues like the Greenskins and/or Southmen?

    Possibly them building some shrines to help keep the faith of the locals strong? So far it seems like Sumar is the only one of our villages with proper religious facilities. We're most likely going to be busy building other infrastructure such as roads, farms/pastures and fortifications, while they're pretty wealthy IIRC and don't have all that many options to invest their wealth anyway.

    Coordinate forces, I basically take less as "we should push south together immediately/soon" and more as "we should coordinate if we move against external threats like the orcs or southmen and work together against such threats". Ie, a bunch of witchhunters and soldiers working together could accomplish more than either of those working alone.
    News/offering information I see as basic information exchange, not just now, but in the future as well.
    Spreading the faith; IIRC the Witchhunters have a fair amount of wealth (from what I remember of my glimpse into the thread on SB) with little ways of spending it, so helping the faith by building shrines and the like would seem like a good idea.
