So, these guys kind of hate shinigami, right? Doesn't that mean that pulling out Bankai for our first powerup is a terrible idea?
On the other hand, I don't know if the ugly-making power is Hollow-related or not. And the useless energy blast is useless.

Pretty straightforward. No power up.
And he won't test us for it. I'm thinking it's the "I TAKE OVER YOUR BODY AND TURN YOU INTO A SUPER HOLLOW" style of power up. No thanks.
Sounds like Bankai. Except Bankai is supposed to be really hard to get. Also, we're supposed to materialize our zanpakuto in the real world to learn Bankai, not beat it in our inner world. ...Is this a trick?
Either Cero or Bala. Cero and Bala both are unrelated to our zanpakuto, making them tactically useful if we're disarmed, but not something that would let us beat Nellial. Especially since Nel's whole shtick is Cero Doble.
Although we could fire both Cero/Bala and a Getsuga Tenshou at the same time...

That seems like a kinda counter-intuitive dick move for a vote.
I figure the 'no test' bit is because we've already passed the Hollow test, so to speak. We ate our inner spirit, and seem fairly in touch with our Hollow side. Hence, no need to test for this power up, we've got the pre-reqs.
And honestly, if we don't trust this guy about how the power-ups are dispensed and are worried he'll take over our body, we might as well not take anything.
Also, speaking of our rather pronounced Hollow tendencies, it makes me wonder if the Nel thing is going to end up short-lived. We're friends with Tatsuki and others, but given targets we don't care about we seem to revel in our instincts.
Yeah, this is pretty much why I'm not voting it. Banaki required way more work than this, it's too convenient. We might be able to get it but the test is probably insane.
If it is this, it'd be nice. Although that's so low level I'm kinda surprised there's a test at all. Still, as long as we can fire it without having to use our hands, it'd be helpful.
....Also, we've lost the Bad Decisions tag, and now there is The Box. Lovely.

I'm going with the resist all temptation in hopes that it's a "zen quest" kind of thing where if you resist temptation, you get rewarded. Unfortunately, I know it's going to lose due to a combination of it looking like the foolish option and people being unable to resist shinies.

We put on a mask, we get more powerful. Clearly our power is inversely related to how attractive we are. So this would be good right up until someone finds it attractive.

We already got that. It's in the update even. Also, useless energy blast is called worse than the Getsuga. How did you miss this?
You were fine up until the end, but we have pretty much no reason to believe that refusing the power-up means we get a power up, so try to be less condescending.

I have a bad habit of reading too fast that I sometimes miss sentences.
How am I condescending? I didn't insult or put down anyone. It has been admitted plenty of times that some people will go for an immediate power-up, sometimes that's good and sometimes that's bad, and I also said that resisting, the option I chose, looks like a foolish option. I never said going for power-ups is bad. I never even said any of the power-up options are bad.
I know. I was explaining my reasoning, not trying to convince others.

I never once declared myself to be better than others. I never even implied it. In fact, I even admitted that the option I chose for looks dumb by calling it a "foolish option."
