Going Full Hollow (Bleach)

Personally, I think we should help with the Rukia arc but not before we do some introspection of our soul and powers.
Yeah. She's like, a tiny runt shinigami, but she's OUR tiny runt shinigami that belongs to us. How dare Ichigo lose her so easily! That bastard would lose his own head if it weren't attached.

Oh, I can just imagine her reaction to us saying that...
It fits with being a hollow that is also kind of Ichigo. Preferably regarded as the new and improved version, clearly. At least that's the sort of vibe I'm getting from TPK's writing. Notice that it said 'kidnap' Rukia and not rescue. Our character obviously still likes the people that Ichigo does.

[The man may look like the kind of creep that you warn your sisters about, but he's pretty damn good with that zankaputo. ]

[You've got all of Ichigo's memories and the associations between stealing and wrongness, but you don't really feel like stealing is bad. ]

[You're perfectly in touch with your own inner feelings as well as Ichigo's, and Rukia getting stolen pissed you the hell off. There's no way you're giving her up, but just following your vague instincts sounds like a good idea too, and . . . getting some normal memories of your own sounds pleasant]

It's just more possessive and animistic. They're OUR friends, and as such we own them because they are ours. And yes I would pay to see Rukia's reaction to that.

"I should probably figure some stuff out before I do anything." You say with a grimace.

"Oh?" Urahara flaps his fan absently. "Perhaps where you're going to sleep at night?"

"No. Yes." You backtrack. "Do I even sleep?"

Urahara shrugs.

Ururu shrugs.

The well-muscled man with a mustache sweeping the floor shrugs. When'd he get up here anyway and where does he get off sneaking around like that? You've got your eye on him.

"Whatever. Anyway it's a real drag having to think about that kind of thing, but it's like I need to put down a down payment or something to avoid paying more later." You explain, more trying to convince yourself than anyone else. "I mean I know I'm a spiritual being, but shinigami eat, so maybe I do too?"

You don't say that you may need to eat somebody's ghost, despite the thought being oddly appetizing. That's the kind of thing that would be stupid to say in front of a shinigami like the hat wearing eccentric.

Urahara nods knowingly. "All spiritually powerful souls need to eat. Normally I would offer you a good rate on an affordable gigai, but . . . well if you do sleep, feel free to just . . . drop on by my humble shop. It will take me seven days to finish the door to Soul Society and I'll be quite busy with that, but if you want to join in with Ichigo and his friends to rescue Kuchiki, I'm sure they wouldn't mind the help."

You . . .

"I thought you were only going to bother me with one more question, huh?!" You snap, pushing open the door and stepping out into the night air. "I'm out."

You solidify the air beneath your feet, leaping up in skyward bounds until Karakura lies below you and the lights twinkle like pinpricks in a sheet held up to the light. Or like fucking light bulbs seen from a distance. Idly swinging your zankaputo, you're again reminded of your earlier thought. Does this sword have Zangetsu inside of it too, or does it just look the same?

"This is entirely too much goddamn introspection." You swear, and leap downwards toward the old train station on the edge of town. It's not someplace that you've gone more than once or twice, but both times it seemed pretty deserted and you don't want to put up with humans yapping on their phones or something, even if they can't see you.

And really killing them would just get Urahara all over you, so the easy way's out. Best to just avoid the irritation for now.

Right. Meditation.

Time to find out what's in your inner world.

You close your eyes and slip inwards easily, letting the rough roof of the train station fall away and be replaced by the familiar sight of skyscrapers. It looks just like Ichigo's inner world.

. . . Complete with a color-inverted version of him staring at you, sword drawn.

"You."

[] Attack him!
[] Try to reason with him.
[] Try to figure out what this even means.

[X] Try to figure out what this even means.

So, color inverted instead of hollow colors.

What does that even look like?

[X] Attack him!

My bet is that Ichigo and Zangetsu are each other's Zanpakuto spirits, like some sort of undead orobouros.

Edited.
