I still feel like we could have talked our way out of it, but hey, we won a fight with a starving homeless person, so that's cool.

We really didn't want to come to this, but the starving ghoul left us with no choice.

A starving homeless ghoul with the ability to throw cars and a tendency to eat innocent bystanders.

I'm as sympathetic to ghouls as anybody else, but it was him or us, and that's not even just because that's my normal stance with things like this.

we need to make friends with this family, they have money and they're a good alibi in the future in case things start getting warm with the law.

Maybe they will offer us a job as butler/bodyguard

So do we just spend months at a time drinking nothing but coffee, or does our mother feed us more frequently than we need to?

How does she approach our 'needs'? Is she hesitant about it? Nonchalant? Does she treat it like vegetables?

Yours is explicitly following them home so that you know where they live.

Mine is resigned, explanatory, and conciliatory: Replace every mention of 'ghoul' in the last post with '[random mostly criminal demographic]' and you'd understand the tone of the girl trying to explain to a random family that the whole reason nobody hears about good ghouls is that that's the point, people don't go and report on the news "In other news, a random ghoul didn't murder a bunch of people when they unobtrusively walked down the street with nobody noticing them today." because that's not news, that's a lack of news.

Some of the mom stuff is something I should probably leave until we actually see her. But in general we probably eat a bit more than needed, not a lot but some. Alicia doesn't hate being a ghoul, so to her that's just part of her life and just eating the absolute minimum is pointlessly risky. That said our diet is like 90% coffee and water.
 
Does the Family we just rescued look wealthy, they offered us Jewels . who does that but rich people with a disposable income.
