[X] Accept his Favor?
-[x] Though give one in turn too, as it's only right. (Share some Warp lore)

As I've always been a sucker for the moody and smartass outcast.

Are you absolutely sure you want to reveal your Warp Lore skill? Remember, your actions do have consequences.
True, but we are in 40k, anything we do can leads to "fun" times here.

So if that is the case, I rather make sure we use what we know to help those we can. An really, psykers get a shit enough hand in life as is, no reason we can't offer a hand to one when what we know could help the guy stay alive here.

Though that is probably just my weak nature showing and this could just lead to"fun" faster here.

[X] Accept his Favor

No. No sharing of Warp knowledge. Especially not to a dying Psyler. That's Deamon bait there.

We are not a sanctioned psyker, so having that knowledge would imply we are a sorcerer or cultist or worse and get us executed.
maybe later if we are ever recognized as a saint or some such we could afford to reveal such knowledge. at the moment it would result in bad things happening (basically, go on the run and fight fellow humans until we can clear our name, if ever)

also, we really need to train our combat skill for the upcoming battle against the orcs

[X] So, what's it like to be a witch?

Heh, he can probably be considered a Saint, can't he?

Not really? Saints are those who have clear evidence of the God Emperors favour, who have performed extraordinary deeds in his name. I'm honestly not sure any Psykers have ever been declared Saints, though I would have to look it up.

well we know that, the emperor knows that, do you think they know that?

Malcador is one off the top of my head.

The socio-political climate has changed a lot since then I admit.

There is a psyker saint called Rybel Gorth the Watcher of the Dark.

Rybel Gorth is unusual among the saints of the Calixis Sector because in life he was a psyker. Shunned by the Ecclesiarchy at the time and held in deep suspicion by much of Imperial society, Gorth was seen as a "necessary" second-class citizen. It is written that in his early life he worked aboard a warp-faring vessel, aiding the Navigator and helping to protect its passengers and crew. His story begins, however, during the evacuation of Canopus during the Heresy of Numbers. At this time, the world was being turned to ashes by bitter civil war and a great army of heretics had turned upon the Ecclesiarchy.

Formerly a haven for religious learning and scholarly study, Canopus was filled with thousands of prominent and learned members of the Ecclesiarchy. Rybel Gorth's ship was the only one to reach the world before the end and took aboard hundreds of Ministorum officials and scholars before making a hasty retreat into the warp. Tragically, however, the ship became lost in the warp and years dragged by as it searched for escape. During this time, the crew and passengers began to die. Fearing the loss of the wealth of knowledge he had been part of rescuing, Gorth used his powers to draw out and store the minds of those who died, keeping them safe within his own. When the ship finally broke free and found its way to safe harbor, Gorth was half mad with a brain brimming with a hundred minds. Before he died, he transcribed the gathered knowledge of the scholars of Canopus, ensuring its survival. For his sacrifice, the Ecclesiarchy at the time blessed his memory and raised him to sainthood.

Rybel Gorth has few shrines and statues erected in his honor. Even now, centuries after his death, a certain distaste of him exists within the Ministorum. Even the majority of citizens who know of him, see him more as a malevolent presence rather than a source of comfort and guidance. They associate their fears about psykers and the warp with the saint, seeing him as the embodiment of this evil. There are those, however, that do not have their vision clouded by such fears. These are mostly scholars, adepts and, of course, psykers.

These people see Gorth for what he was---a powerful psyker who was able to use his gift to hold the warp at bay and keep safe those around him. He has become a protector of those who would deal with the forbidden and the unknown, especially psykers who try and divine secrets from the warp or use it to send messages across the stars. Psykers often say prayers to Rybel Gorth when they use their powers, hoping that he will protect them from the perils of the warp. Scholars who seek ancient secrets also pray to him lest they unearth or awaken the unnatural. The tale of Rybel Gorth is also often taught to Imperial psykers during their training, impressing upon them the importance of their devotion to the Emperor and the Imperium.

Difference between normal saint, martyr and living saints

Difference between normal saint, martyr and living saint a bit complex. Men and women might be declared saints for all manner of deeds, but in most cases they will have performed some great service to the Imperium and the Imperial Creed. Many were generals or admirals, while others were simple foot soldiers who by doing their duty turned the tide of battle and changed history. Other saints were great teachers or orators, men or women who with a single word or missive could achieve what a million Imperial Guardsmen could not. They all belong to category of normal saints and they are regarded to be able to intercede on specific issues, such as to provide deliverance from aliens, safe passage across the warp, a successful crop or a warrior's true aim. Given that such a vast pantheon of saints exists, the matters on which they are said to be able to intercede are often extremely specialised. Some regiments of the Imperial Guard, for example, hold that there is a specific saint for every single one of the thousands of marks of standard issue Lasgun.

There is a fine line between saints and martyrs and in many cases those who achieve sainthood only do so through martyrdom. However the numbers of martyrs far outweigh the lists of the saints, though they are still honoured and remembered in their own way. Quite often an individual or group will be remembered for many years as a martyr or martyrs before their deeds are considered great enough to raise them up to sainthood. Such an example is the Tranch War Saint, a nameless guardsman said to have fallen in the Tranch war only to rise up to fight once again at the side of his comrades no less than 13 times despite the most terrible of mortal wounds. From reports given by the Munitorum and numerous Commissars, there has been a movement to raise this nameless soldier up to sainthood for his martyrdom and he has been repeatedly put forward on the Festival of Saints for the consideration of the Sector Synod. To date however they have only deemed him a martyr of exceptional faith and not yet granted the mantle of sainthood.

Living Saints are those members of the Adepta Sororitas who are said to be so holy in mind, body and spirit that they somehow manifest something of the power of the Emperor himself. Living Saints are not beatified after their death, but rather are spontaneous manifestations of the Emperor's grace. A Living Saint will usually, though not always, manifest, from amongst the ranks of the Adepta Sororitas. They are however always female. Typically, the manifestation of a Living Saint will presage some great endeavour, in which countless millions of the faithful take up arms in the name of the Emperor and truly extraordinary feats are performed. Sadly, the phenomenon is often short lived, for it appears that the Living Saints are beacons of faith that burn blindingly bright, yet tragically brief. Before her death however, a Living Saint will have changed the course of history for the better. Only exception of a male saint given the living saint status is Sebastian Thor.

P.S. Living Saints are of great interest to the Thorian faction of the Inquisition, who regard them as vessels of the Emperor's power in the model of Sebastian Thor himself. This also makes them a target for the enemies of the faction, who have on several occasions sought to capture a Living Saint and literally dissect her in order to discover the source of her powers.

P.S. If it is discovered a normal saint is actually a chaos worshipper, then imperium does everything to wipe his or her memories from the galaxy, they do not spear any expanse for this task. look for the case of Saint Basillius. In rare cases some time chaos have created imperial saint for it's nefarious proposes and to advance it's long term plans. Just look for saint Kelkannis Evisser and Ghargatuloth - Lexicanum.(Grey Knights (Novel) - The Grey Knights Omnibus by Ben Counter)

ca. 300'sM37-112.M38
After the Ecclesiarchal Purges of 321.M37, the judgement of Saint Basillius finds thirty Space Marine Chapters wanting in faith. The guilty are given a choice between instant death or embarking upon the lamentable Abyssal Crusade into the Eye of Terror. All choose the latter mission. Almost 800 standard years after the Abyssal Crusade began, the remnants of some of The Judged Chapters returned from the Warp in 112.M38, having purged more than 400 worlds within the Eye of Terror. They could barely contain their fury when they were detained by agents of the Inquisition and tested for the taint of Chaos. As they passed every test, a horrible truth came to light. Saint Basillius still lived, and the testimony of Konvak Lann, Chapter Master of the Vorpal Swords Chapter, revealed him as a false idol, guilty of sending innocents into the jaws of damnation in the service of the Dark Gods. The Vorpal Swords led the other survivors, blazing with righteous anger, to penetrate the defences of Basillius' palace. They found the unaccountably ancient saint and finally revealed Basillius' true nature as an apostle of Chaos. In less than a year, every known sepulchre and shrine dedicated to the false saint was destroyed. After his execution by the Inquisition, an Edict of Obliteration was carried out. The Heretic Saint's bones, along with countless relics, books of doctrine and thousands of living worshippers were placed on a derelict bulk-freighter and launched directly into a nearby star, purging all taint of Basillius as if he had never existed.

Kelkannis Evisser is an uncanonised Imperial Saint. The Ecclesiarchy never confirmed his ascension, but could not denounce him because of his immense popularity. Evisser's entire life had in fact been orchestrated and manipulated by the Daemon Prince Ghargatuloth.

Evisser was born on Sophano Secundus, and spent his early life as an Administratum adept on Solshen XIX. Late in his life, an Ork warband descended upon the planet and left it in ruins. Evisser survived, but it changed him and he refused to be drawn back into the works of the Administratum. He believed that the Orks were in fact an instrument of the Emperor's will, and that he was chosen to tend to the Emperor's flock. He began to preach, and entire worlds clamoured for him to visit them. Part of the reason that accounted for Evisser's success was that he represented hope that even the lowly folk could mean something to the Imperium. Evisser performed many miracles. He went into the heart of the quarantined zone of a plague-ridden lower city of one of Trepytos's port hives and stayed there for 6 months, easing the dying hours of millions, all the while remaining untouched by the plague. When a mutant uprising threatened the Forge World Magnos Omicron, Evisser walked miraculously through the gunfire to speak with the rebellion leader and convinced them to lay down their arms and return to the Imperial yoke. When Evisser stepped off the exit ramp of his shuttle on Farfallen, it was said that every flower on the planet suddenly bloomed. Wherever Evisser went, he left the Warp still, and starships followed him. The Trail of Saint Evisser was formed this way. He blessed the towers of Volcanis Ultor, the subterranean geothermal forges of Magos Omicron, the fields of Victrix Sonora, the oceans of Solshis XIX, and the very stars of the Trail. Soon, speculations of Sainthood disappeared, and the people simply referred to him as Saint Evisser.

By the time the Inquiry Beautificum discovered Evisser's birthplace and that he was tainted, it was already too late. Evisser could not be denounced, lest it start another Plague of Unbelief, so the Ecclesiarchy had their clergy cease his worship until the Trail decayed and Evisser could be forgotten. When Evisser passed away, he was buried on Volcanis Ultor. Within a year of Evisser's miracle at Trepytos, there were already festivals and parades in his name. Gold-domed cathedrals, chapels, jewel-studded statues, and museums of priceless art were built in his name. The Hall of Remembrance was built where he first landed on Farfallen. His corpse was possessed by Ghargatuloth and used as an instrument of the daemon's return by allowing it to be struck down by the Sword of Mandulis.
