Woa. Didn't realize school was a "trigger topic" for Flandre. What's going on there?
Flan got ticked off because Tarbin wasn't listening to her. The extremeness of the reaction was magnified by her being upset and the poor weather.

Besides, she's already had an education. It is, granted, only about 1900 or so College Sophomore/Junior, so there's lots of things she doesn't know, but 'school' isn't something she considers useful. Besides, she's a noble - she doesn't go to school, professionals come to her!

How much of an impact would the rain have on us?
Lower durability in combat, mainly. She might be sick for a while afterward, depending on how much exposure she gets.

And can we break rainclouds?
... You know, I'm glad I dropped my original plan of allowing Player-Flan interaction. That would have been such a nightmare. Uhh ... no. (Sorry, dinner's getting ready, gotta go.)

[X] Attack the drones. Their explosions and roaring are making the night less peaceful.
-[X] Open the window and take potshots at them from range. You can't be bothered to go out there in the rain.

Me neither. I assumed this might've been a reaction to us not hopping on the shuttle like headless said or some stress Flandre had built up.

And Entropy reveals the truth.

@Entropy Judge - Is this an original event like the vampire or somewhere along canon, like Jail assaulting the TSAB for Vivio?

It's long since stopped raining at the city:
A knock on the door catches your attention, but you don't respond, instead continuing to watch the sky. The storm passed on a long time ago, and the night sky is soothing.
Rain is only an issue if you go to the Church.

And to clarify on the 'No Breaking Clouds' - like blowing up parts of a body instead of the whole, it's something she's capable of, but doesn't consider. It's something she uses to destroy, but she doesn't think of 'destroying clouds' or the like. At least, not off the cuff - if things go poorly, she might consider it after the fact ....

Is Loki telepathic? Was Flandre getting a stream of barrier jacket/Knight clothing data during testing? On another note, we've probably traumatized our unit too much to ever be able to relate normally to them. In the meantime, we need to remind them why we're tolerated.

[X] Volunteer to help the Church. They were nice to you, after all. Besides, you've fought drones before.
-[X]Ask about the water repelling capabilities of Barrier Jackets. People had to fight in the rain with them before right?
-[X]Attempt to reconfigure your jacket/knight clothing for maximum water protection.
-[X]Use Laevateinn to evaporate some of the water around you.
-[X]When you see the enemy, open with Maze of Love to impede escape routes.

Hm? No, and ... I'm not sure what your second question is asking about.

Basically I was trying to establish a potential IC reason for Flandre to ask about Barrier Jacket reconfiguration. So should I assume Loki is mana in, barrier jacket out and they even needed to strip the telepathic interface? I was under the impression telepathic devices were the norm and that's why I asked. Also a half-remembered bit from the Manga where Nanoha was running simulations in her head during class.

Devices do require brain synchronization in order to properly function, although I don't think that most Devices are capable of actual 'telepathy.' But yes, Loki is ... rather heavily cut down; it's basically a lot like Laevateinn in that it's "Supply Power, Turn On, Get Effect." No defensive auto-casts, no Cartridge System, no magic assistance ... just the Armor. Of course, that's all Flan really cared about :)

Yeah, Nanoha did a lot of her training/practice in her head during class. Apparently she's a magnificent multi-tasker.

In that case we're going to need to put a lot of power into Laevateinn to get enough heat to evaporate the rain around us. Besides, I don't have the science background to know what would happen if we tried evaporating the clouds using Laevateinn(and the Church would probably have been broken through to by the time it happened).

Uh guys. That's Lutecia at the church. Leave her to Riot Six unless we want to be caught in a conflict of loyalties.

[X] Attack the drones. Their explosions and roaring are making the night less peaceful.

-[x] End this farce quickly. You're in no mood for something that's a fight in name only.

Flandre seems to be brooding at the moment and drones aren't really tough enough to even be as cathartic as punching a pillow.

There wouldn't be much conflict:
"Huh. We'll probably meet again, do you think? I'd like to see what a real fight against you guys will be like, so take care until that happens," you say, a slight grin on your face. Agito goes white, and Lutecia frowns. "See you then."
They're well aware they're on different sides, and Flan's said that she wants to have a real fight against them at some point. Zest in particular would understand.

Alright, that makes sense where IC is concerned, so it's just fighting in the rain that's a problem. OOC...just thinking that Lutecia and Agito are just too easy to accidentally ruin.

Let's see, the force hitting the Church is going to kidnap Vivio to power their giant spaceship(deliciously huge target), while the drone force hitting TSAB Ground is to basically burn the city and do as much damage to responders...if it was anything like canon.

Current Tally:

It may be raining, but I'm pretty sure it's also night! Let's give Zest a hell of a fight!

Wait. What if we had a clone attack the clouds with Laevateinn. Then we could use it for a dramatically appropriate surprise aerial strike and minimize our exposure. Flan needs a serious fight darn it. Besides, if we wake up in the church again from rain exposure, it may be a chance for somebody to actually give Flandre a dose of enlightenment.

-[X]Have a clone with Laevateinn follow you above the clouds. Have it be ready for a dramatic surprise attack/cloudclearing strike when it reaches the church.
-[X]When you see the enemy, open with Maze of Love to impede escape routes.
-[X] if the enemy is knocked out or temporarily disarmed. Take them as your prisoners.

I added a little something here. Like it or not.

After all, if they're alive, we have a chance at a rematch later.
