[X] "Ugh of course a youkai as ugly as this would drop something equally ugly."
-[X] "You can have it." *Chuck her the thing*
--[X] "You know where a giant monster thing is to fight. I want to do something fun."
You stare at the red-headed girl for a moment. She actually looks like she's willing to attack you! Kill you ... probably not; she seems to think you're even younger than she is. You consider your options as your gaze swivels to the strange pin you picked up - the 'Grief Seed,' you guess. You could try to intimidate her, just grab the spear and ram it through your eye. That's usually good for a scare, especially if you laugh and taunt immediately afterward. You could duck under the spear, grab her, and start crying. All four of you crying your eyes out, "I'm sorry, Onee-san!" "I'm lost and alone, Onee-san!" would probably get you a pretty funny result. But really ... the Grief Seed isn't that impressive. It's almost kind of ugly. Remilia would probably be interested in it, and put it up some place to look at if she got bored, and Patchouli would be interested in how you got it, but would probably dismiss it as a minor souvenir. For you ... all it is for you is a badge of your victory over the youkai. And that wasn't what you consider a hard fight. Sakuya could probably have killed it. So you flip your hand a bit and throw the thing at the human point-first.
Her back hand darts out and catches it before it can hit her. "Of course an ugly youkai would drop an ugly rock," you say. "You can have it." She blinks a bit, then takes a few steps back. She looks about to say something, but an idea strikes you and you beat her to the punch. "Hey, you're a witch, right? Do you know where any other youkai are? I mean, really strong ones, like the one that disappeared earlier when it was going to rain! That one was too weak. I wan-"
"I'm not a Witch," she snarls at you. You cock your head, slightly puzzled.
"You're a human who uses magic, right? I mean, yeah most witches and magicians use shooty and blasty spells instead of augmenting themselves with magic, but you're still a witch. And you were fighting that youkai earlier, so you must know how to find them! I just want to fight them." Now she's the confused one, her mouth working for several seconds before she puts a hand to her head and takes several deep breaths.
"Look, didn't Kyubey tell you anything?" You stare blankly at her. "Kyubey? Fluffy little white critter? Offered you a Wish? Magical girls, Witches, Grief Seeds ...." You slowly shake your head, and the girl scrunches her eyes, mouth working silently again. "Okay, I just need ... a moment ...." She mutters to herself, and there's a small flash of red as her dressy outfit disappears, leaving her in a green top and blue shorts. Very short ones; you frown as you notice that they're barely longer than that the shirt she's wearing. There are such things as standards ... and then your attention is caught by the strange egg she pulls out of nowhere. It's an ugly, muddy red with a lot of black in it - until she touches it to the Grief Seed. Then the blackness is drawn out, and all that's left is shining, sparkling red. A beautiful color. Such a pretty gem ... you guess that it's her magical focus, like Marisa's mini-hakkero, and wonder if Remilia would like it. You used to have pretty gems like that in your room, but they broke too easily whenever you threw tantrums, even if Patchouli reinforced them. You don't want to break that one, though - it's much too pretty.
The girl takes another deep breath and puts the gem and Grief Seed away ... somewhere. She looks at you for a moment. "Okay ... look, kid, I need to do something for a few minutes, so don't bother me, and don't run off anywhere, okay?" You nod, smiling, and she moves away to lean against a wall. She concentrates for a moment, glances at you, then closes her eyes. You watch her for a minute, then dispel your clones and move to what you think used to be a closet. It's where most of the clothes in the room seem to have been, anyway. You dig around for a bit, then pull out what you were hoping to find - a parasol! Of some sort, anyway - it's made of a strange fabric. It'll keep the sun off you, at any rate, and that's what's important. You fiddle with it for a moment, then figure out the catch and spring it - opened, it's definitely wide enough to protect you from the sun, and if you fold your wings, you can even keep them covered! A shame it's black, though.
The girl's still not done, but she looks really unhappy. You look out the windows; it seems you travelled quite a distance in the youkai's world, since you're now in the fork of the river. You're not quite to the rail bridge, but you're closer now than you were before you entered the rift. Immediate curiosity satisfied, you pick a comfortable spot in the rubble of the room and wait for the girl to finish whatever it is she's doing. She does, looking rather embarrassed. She frowns at the parasol you're now carrying, but shrugs after a moment.
"Alright, then. My name's Kyouko. What's yours?" You giggle a bit.
"Flandre!" She repeats it a few times to get the pronunciation right.
"Okay, Flan, how about you come with me for a bit? There's someone I know who wants to talk to you." You pout a little, then look at her hand.
"Hmm ... maybe. Hey, what was that pretty gem you had?" You bring one of your wings forward and point at one of the crystals. "Like this, but shaped like an egg and a really pretty red color? Can I have it? It's really pretty!" She blinks, then pulls the egg out of nowhere again.
"This? No, you can't have it; it's what I use to use magic. Now, you coming?"
