[X] Accept Cinque's invitation.
- [X] Then ask Ginga to show you around.
You smile politely and nod your head. "I wouldn't mind introducing myself. I'll try to avoid taking up too much time." Ginga frowns, but mostly clears her face by the time Cinque finishes bowing back to you and turning around.
"It will be fine, Sergeant. They already know she's coming, after all." You have your clones gather up Satsuki and the luggage and smile at Ginga.
"And after we all meet each other, you can show me around!" Defeated, Ginga sighs and nods. At least this way you're giving her an option to pull you out if things actually do get hostile. You grin and hop sideways to look at Cinque. "So when's your free time to go out and do stuff?" She frowns and her eye flickers to Ginga before shaking her head.
"We are prisoners," she says, tapping the torc around her neck. "We can't leave this facility without permission, can't activate our IS, can't access communications except during specific intervals for specific, monitored purposes, and can only access enough of the computer networks to perform our duties. Attempts to circumvent those restrictions can result in anything from a high-security alert being sounded to system shutdowns." You frown and cluck your tongue as your clones set their burdens down in the entry hall.
"Well, we'll have to see about that." She gives you a perplexed look and you smile. "You look like a new friend I have - well, you have a different build, and her eyes are red, but you're both fairly short with very similar hair and skin color. Anyway, I was thinking about doing some shopping for her sometime while I'm here, and since you're pretty close to what she looks like, I could use you to make sure anything I get for her suits her colors." Not that you really need any help with that, of course - your memory is more than sufficient for something like that. But it doesn't hurt to make the offer, and it doesn't hurt to make sure your 'superiors' remember that you consider at least some of their rules to be a bit silly. Besides, what is one person going to do when she's with you? Ginga stares at you, stunned, and Cinque seems even more surprised.
"Flandre …."
"I … thank you for the offer, Flandre, but … we are prisoners. Criminals. The only reason for this - freedom," she sweeps her arm to the side, gesturing at the facility around her, and even though she should be all but yelling, her voice is just as quiet as it was when she greeted you. "It is only because Major Nakajima supported his daughter's belief that we can be rehabilitated; because we free up individuals with better skills by completing mundane work that can be easily reviewed by a single individual; because it is easier if we are kept contained at hand rather than in a prison over a world that may leave their aegis." You match her one-eyed stare for a moment before shrugging and crossing your arms over your head and clasping your elbows.
"Okay. I'll see about getting permission to bring your sisters along, too." You're pretty sure that wasn't what she meant, that she was trying to tell you that you couldn't get permission to go shopping with her. And maybe you can't, but if that's true, then the Bureau might want to find a whole lot of missions that keep you happy and occupied. You turn to Ginga. "So, where are - Nove and Wendi, you said?" Ginga just shakes her head and returns to walking. The look Cinque gives you is … painful? Does she really expect that you can't get what you want if you put your mind to it? Besides, she didn't say she didn't want to, which means she does want to! You follow Ginga, and after a moment Cinque catches up to you, expression once again serene instead of troubled. The next few minutes pass quietly, until you reach one particular door. It slides open at Ginga's touch, and the voice inside cuts off.
"Ah, that must be Cinque. Hurry -!" A vaguely-familiar red-headed girl smiles as she turns to the door, but her expression turns to shock and anger when she sees you. You smile and wave as you skip past Ginga. Another red-haired girl looks at you nervously, and on the screen in the middle of the room shows a very familiar girl with light brown hair. She pales, and if her chair could have let her she'd probably have tumbled back. Two guards by the door in her room frown at her reaction to you. You bow slightly.
"Nove, please calm down." Cinque's voice washes against the sudden spike of tension, and Nove does force her hands to her sides and stand up straight, but she doesn't stop glaring at you. Wendi gives you a little wave and tries smiling. You look up at Dieci, still staring at you fearfully, before turning to Nove.
"I apologize for the interruption. I simply thought it would be a good idea to let you know that I'm supposed to be staying here for a while. If it's easier, I'll try to keep out of your way -"
"Good! Then leave!" You tilt your head slightly at Nove's interruption. Cinque walks past you toward her sister.
"Nove!" Wendi winces and looks away as Cinque raises her voice.
"… I'll try to keep out of your way, but I'm not going to let your presence disrupt my own activities. So we're going to have to learn to live with each other, at least a little bit. Also, if you encounter Satsuki without me, do be polite to her. Rudeness and hostility toward myself is tolerable, if unwelcome; disrespect toward my servant simply because of her affiliation with me is not." Wendi nods quickly, and Dieci's head jerks up and down almost as if she's having a fit, but Nove matches your stare for several seconds before finally nodding a single time. You turn to Ginga. "Alright, I'm done here. Could you show me around now?" She frowns at you but nods, bowing her head slightly to the others. You whirl back around and wave, smiling. "Bye~!" You skip out of the room to wait for Ginga, but she's only a few seconds behind you. She hesitates for a moment before walking back toward the entry hall.
"Do you want to wake Satsuki up so she can learn where everything is, too?" You frown at Ginga and shake your head.
"I told you, didn't I? She can't wake up during the day, and sunlight is dangerous for her. I can show her around tonight." She winces and shakes her head.
"Right, sorry." She walks on for a bit before stopping and frowning at you. "Why … why are you treating them the way you are?" You wait for her to continue, to see if she wants to lead you down a particular 'way of treating,' but she seems confused as much as curious, and you shrug.
"Well, the last time we met, I got to play a pretty fun game, and then I got to fight a bit, and that was really fun. And, yes, Nove didn't really want to play the game, and later Dieci didn't want to be polite and I ripped her arm off for it, but they didn't really know anything about me at the time, and we were pretty much enemies. Now, however, we're on the same side, they know a bit more about me. They have their pride, and I can respect that, and I'm willing to give them a chance, but all the hostility is on their side. I don't care. They're just more people who are here." You grin nastily. "Which, of course, brings us to the matter of politeness. That, I care about, and if Nove in particular doesn't learn to at least tolerate my presence I can be very bothersome. You make sure they know that. I'm not their enemy right now, and none of them want to make me their enemy, because they won't win." Ginga nods and turns away.
"I'll let them know." You frown and follow her as she resumes walking. Maybe you should explain more thoroughly, about how it's not likely that they're even half so wicked as you? About how the Bureau is being silly by expending resources on them when it isn't doing so with you? Well, there's a reason for that - you're a positive political piece as well as a power piece, because of your sister. They're a negative political piece, potentially, if Marino was right about 'combat cyborgs' being illegal, so they would just add to the Bureau's problems. Of course, if they're already known about, then they wouldn't cause any trouble …. Well, that sort of thing is why Remilia has always been better at the political side of things; her power aside, she's just better at sifting through all the varied bits of information and making decisions that work - and being willing and able to adjust them as new information comes in. Not only do things like that bore you, it's just plain easier to pick a single 'target' and deal with it at a time. "Alright, so I'll show you to your rooms first, then where the others' are, okay?" Your clones gather up Satsuki and the luggage as Ginga interrupts your thoughts.
"Yep!" She smiles a bit and guides you up to the second floor. Both your room and Satsuki's are exterior locations - it seems they don't use interior rooms for living quarters here, which is a bit frustrating - but they're both out of direct sunlight and have had heavy shades put over the windows. You have your coffin, of course, but when you bring up the possibility of sliding panels for Satsuki's bed Ginga blinks before agreeing to see about getting them installed. A little bit more security like that would be good for Satsuki. Cinque, Nove, and Wendi are on this floor as well, although about half the building away, far enough that you not only have different bathrooms but can also use different stairwells more conveniently. Wendi is the odd one out; instead of using three rooms, they only got two, so she's on her own while Nove and Cinque are together. There are other people who work here, it seems, but they're the only permanent residents - even Ginga doesn't have a room here.
Down on the first floor, she shows you the cafeteria and the medical center, neither of which you particularly need, but the cafeteria might be a good place to socialize Satsuki a bit. Then the 'electronic support' room, which used to be used for Device tuning, and still does get used for it a bit, but is mostly used to keep track of the various alerts on the Numbers and keep them tuned up. Apparently they don't rate the cost and effort it would take to take them to a proper facility, so a specialist comes here and uses the two areas to make sure they're healthy. You shake your head. Then she shows you the computer workroom - where the Numbers work. Apparently the Combat Simulator and the grounds around Long Arch are used with some frequency for small unit training, and the girls consolidate reports on how the trainees are progressing. Lots of busy-work, but like Cinque said - it frees up people to do more important things, or just to get more rest.
"So does my being here mean that I'll be helping with training?" Your eyes light up, but Ginga just shrugs and shakes her head.
"I think Fate is going to be assigned here, which is why you're here, but I don't know what the plans for you are." You pout, but you're really not sure what you want, so it's not that big a deal. … Probably, anyway. She shows you a bit around the rest of Long Arch - meeting rooms, classrooms and lecture halls, equipment storage, and other boring places - and then takes you outside to show you the physical training area and then back to the Combat Simulator. Unfortunately, she doesn't have the authority to let you use it right now. You really do pout, this time. "And that's it for the important places here. There's a floorplan in the desk in your room, along with a map of the city, and when your account is finalized I can show you how to use the computers to look for specific things." She stretches her shoulders and you spin your parasol. "Anything else?" You look up at her from the corner of your eye. Hmm ….
