[X] Give it to her.
- [X] After you bring Homura here.
You hold up a finger. "On one condition." Lutecia and Agito frown at you, Sayaka shifts slightly and glares, and Kyouko stiffens, eyes locked on yours. "Homura comes here. She knows more about this than any of us, so if we do anything wrong, she's more likely to be able to correct us quickly than guesswork on our part." Sayaka and Kyouko relax, and Kyouko nods shakily.
"Yeah … yeah, that's a good idea. We …." Sayaka steps forward and puts her hand on Kyouko's shoulder.
"I'll contact her, then. If she doesn't want to help, though, we go through with it, right?" You grin at the blue-eyed girl.
"I'd prefer to go over there and drag her here if she doesn't have a good excuse, but yeah, I guess I don't have any problem with doing this right now." Apart from possibly losing Kyouko's Soul Gem, but you did offer, and Remilia probably would make you give it up as an ornament. You can't really tell them that, though, and Sayaka nods and closes her eyes, concentrating on talking to Homura.
"So how are we going to do this? You guys do have a plan, right?" Kyouko's head jerks toward Agito, and she starts to speak, starts to nod, then takes a deep breath and puts a hand to her head. You gently flick the side of Agito's head.
"Of course we do," you say. "Because the last thing Kyouko saw would have been me killing her, I'll stay out of the way - up there." You point up toward the ceiling. It's not like being invisible and nearby would let you react any faster, after all. "Because we want her to focus on Sayaka first, she'll be right there with her, and Kyouko and Homura will be standing back, out of immediate sight, as will you two. You'll have your hood on, of course - do you have one of those spears? And keep a hand on Homura." Kyouko nods, relaxing now that she has a better idea of what she's doing, and Agito shakes her head. Sayaka sighs as she ends her communication with Homura.
"She's coming. It'll take her a few minutes, to get out of school and head over here, but she is coming alone. She did tell Mami she'd be coming here, so she knows something's up." You pout - you kind of wanted to drag her here yourself … but it's probably better this way.
"Oh! So, you know why you're the first one she's going to see, right?" She nods uncertainly.
"Yeah, she knew me … well, the me she knew - er …." You giggle.
"Yup! Kyouko trusts you, and this one -" you hold out the unblemished Soul Gem, "- didn't see me kill you, so you being the first thing she sees should be less of a shock than someone else would be." She gives you a blank look for a long moment before she takes the Soul Gem from you.
"… Right. Are you ready for this?" Kyouko shudders and nods, and Sayaka nods in response before studying the Soul Gem. You blink and look around - at some point, Kyouko's other girls all left the room, and you must have missed it. You wonder if you should ask about them, but it's not really that important. Hopefully. Lutecia and Agito head over to the piano.
"Oh!" Everyone starts and looks at you. "While we're waiting, Kyouko, are there any bad guys in the area?" She stares at you for a moment, then shrugs.
"Apart from you and me? Maybe. I … don't really follow criminals, tend to just have them killed if my girls catch them doing something too rash. Sayaka?" She glances at the blue-haired girl, who frowns at her for a moment before shrugging and turning to you.
"Apart from the Yakuza, there aren't - weren't - many groups of criminals, just a few bad areas where thugs and such liked to hang out, but plenty of perfectly innocent people can be found in those places anyway, so just saying that an area is worse than others doesn't mean you're only going to meet bad people there. Sorry." You glower unhappily; either they don't trust you, or there aren't many people they don't like. You slump and hang over the back of the pew. After a few minutes of silence, the door slams open and Homura strides through, glowering at you.
"You always seem to complicate things," she says before she looks around the room. She double-takes when she sees Kyouko's double, and Kyouko chuckles.
"Contacts and hair dye go a long way, you know? So we're just about ready, I guess -" Homura cuts her off with a wave and begins searching the guardian.
"Soul Gem? It needs to be -" Sayaka clears her throat and holds out the guardian's Soul Gem, and Homura stiffly rises. "The connection between a Soul Gem and its body has a range of a hundred meters and doesn't reestablish automatically. So to begin this little scheme, we need to disconnect the Soul Gem from its host." Sayaka sighs and holds the Soul Gem out to the side; after a moment, one of Kyouko's subordinates rushes in and darts away, and then the guardian's body stiffens before going completely limp. Kyouko steps forward, hood up black spear held in her right hand, and pulls Homura back toward the piano. You leap into the air and settle on an out-of-the-way perch. Sayaka takes a deep breath and transforms, kneels down at the body's side, then sets the Soul Gem on her chest and places the body's hands over it.
After a long, long moment, the body jerks, the eyes flutter open, and she looks around wildly, momentarily in a panic. Her eyes settle on Sayaka.
"Sa- … Sayaka?" She sounds breathless, terrified, and drawn to a fragile hope, and Sayaka smiles kindly at her.
"Hey, Kyouko. How are -!" She tumbles backward as Kyouko barrels into her and presses her head against her chest, and it takes you a moment to realize she's sobbing, and Sayaka strokes her hair. After a few minutes, Kyouko pulls back and looks up at Sayaka. "Feel better?" The redhead nods, then shudders and tears away. Homura starts to move forward as Sayaka rises, but Kyouko holds her firm. You start to wonder whether you should call them something different to keep their identities separate, then shrug. It can wait. Kyouko doesn't run far, only to the wall, where she starts retching. Sayaka hurries over and places her hand on the girl's back. "There, there, Kyouko. It's okay. You're okay …." You can't tell how Kyouko is taking it, but Agito looks unsettled, Lutecia is tense, and Homura … Homura has her impassive expression on, but if you had to guess, you'd think she was impatient. Hmm … interesting.
