Firebird, a Worm AU/Xover?

Incidentally, how much would the PRT swear once Taylor comes back to life after being killed? That is once the PRT starts categorizing her power when she starts heroing/ getting the peasants to kneel before her and worship her.

Wonder what Cauldron's reactions to her would be. Positive now that there is a cape that can resurrect themselves and can take on Scion or Negative now that there another possible danger to the multiverse.

Yes? I'm aware, hence the 'Oooooh... well that's not ominous or anything.' part.

Sorry, I just thought that since you said new character beforehand that you thought that Scott was an OC that Taylor met off screen.

Stupid lack of tone and intent in words typed instead of spoken...

Worse then negative once they realize that the new danger is both worse than the current known threat and wants people to worship her like the fiery vengeful god that she is. And can't really be killed. And eats suns. And can read/control minds. And is a precog...

Yeaaaah, when the shit hits the fan it's going to go everywhere.

Alexandria: We have to kill her.
Legend: ...Didn't she just bitchslap Scion out of existence like 5 mins ago?
Alexandria: That doesn't matter she's a threat!
Legend: Well... Ignoring the fact that anything we could possibly do to her is laughably ineffective, she legitimately wants humanity to survive.
Alexandria: Just so they can bow before her because of her power!
Legend: Wait, wasn't that our plan from the beginning? Kill Scion then rule the multiverse?
Alexandria: Yeah, that bitch is stealling our villain cred!
Contessa: Well I for one welcome our new psychic overlord.

Contessa *would* know better than to try to fuck with an intergalactic personification of a state of being like the Phoenix.

It really depends on what Tier of host Taylor is when it comes to her and the Phoenix Force. She's definitely gotten a bad opening, in that the PF seems to be coming right from the Dark Phoenix Saga. And both Jean Grey and the Phoenix Force were driven insane by Mastermind resulting in a star and a few solar systems going kaput.

Right now, if the timing is right, Jean Grey is in the White Hot Room having a general meeting with Death learning about the true nature of the Phoenix and what it means to be a host of the Phoenix. She's also helping Death handle the sudden influx of the Dead from Dark Phoenix's rampage.

On that note, anyone who was ever a host to the Phoenix Force resides in the White Hot Room after death, so they can be reborn again when they are needed. They become exempt from the afterlife, and basically act as minor extensions of the Phoenix Force.

But still, it depends on what tier of Host Taylor is. Jean Grey is a White Phoenix of the Crown, which is basically saying she's the penultimate Host. However, she is strictly described as a White Phoenix, not The White Phoenix. That and 'what' the Crown is, is never really told. Just that it's very important.

Well, think of it this way. It's a fridge that hasn't been opened in years. It is also the fridge of a workaholic bachelor that probably doesn't have the time to cook for himself and likely settled on take-out and Quickie-Meals, and is outfitted with experimental, untested, and unproven Tinker Technology.

That was my first thought, as well.

Well, considering the arc title is 'Slumber' I figure something has to wake her at some point. How bad it will go is up to debate (or, more accurately, up to the author).

But... that stuff you said might not be canon for this story? I don't know just how much conflicting Marvel canon there is regarding the Phoenix, so it could be anything.

Emma: Your mom is dead!
Taylor: Eh.
Tag: I just revealed your identity to the world!
Taylor: Meh.
Sierra: We're out of tea, but we've still got coffee!
Taylor: ...What kind?
Sierra: I think it's instant.
PHOENIXTAYLOR: THIS WORLD SHALL BURN!!!!!

I am now imagining Cauldron summoning progressively worse things in order to deal with Scion, then with the thing they summoned to kill Scion then the next thing. So on and so forth until they have Azathoth on their front lawn.

They just need something more powerful after Azathoth whom they know will die in the winter and they are gold!:D:D:D

Ah!! Simpson jokes how I missed you!!:D

I honestly thought that Tattletale met up with Taylor and was using the name Vicky to be difficult to fuck with later on
It can't be. I did a search for 'vulpine grin' and it didn't turn up 50 results. God I hate that line. I hate it so much.

But seriously... there was no mention to 'Vicky's' age (pretty sure she's older then Taylor) and Taylor would know the members of New Wave.

Hmm. Glad you mentioned that.

Wow. Halbeard is feeling very... human here. Almost human enough for me to stop calling him Halbeard.

Almost.

Although the premise of Armsmaster and Dragon is the man who is trying to become a machine and the machine that is trying to become a woman.
Perhaps here is his motivation to become a machine?

Besides the "John Stewart" thing, did anyone else notice how Taylor's inner monologue actually mentions Scott? AKA Cyclops?

Well, i do hope what during inevitable astral meeting you will do Jean as actually decent human being... Because Dear Gods i hate her with a passion :D
