[X]Melissa still seems to have some questions; try to spend some time with her. After all, you've learned that having friends can be a big help in times like these.

Let's see what this kid's about, besides fangirling over Ryza.

[x]You still sense some tension amongst the Agrithian soldiers. While your closest friends are still firmly on your side, maybe taking some time to reassure the others that you're not going to eat them would be good.

I'm not too concerned if the soldiers are still nervous; time and deeds will prove out intentions and nature best.

New frien detected, commence small talk protocol

So, that line about the dragon statues says a lot of things. We suspected that the Divine Realm knew the truth about Manaketes and had peaceful contact with them, and this seems like total confirmation. Taking the Melissa action might grantet further lore about the Manaketes that lived in the Divine Realm once.

Ah, yeah, that's convincing logic.

Uuuuuugh I really want to hang out with Melissa, but I really want to ensure the soldiers can trust and like Ryza. It'd be a shame to win the whole war but have the common person be grumbling about dragons still. Grassroots are important!

Normally I'd want to reassure the soldiers but I feel like we should take advantage of the roll giving us a strong first impression.

We'll almost certainly be working with Artemis alot later, which will give us more opportunities to sort things out with the Agrithian yeomen. Meanwhile, we'll also probably be parting ways with Melissa and the Divine Realmers soon after this, so we may not have the another chance to talk them anytime soon.

A week from now we likely will not have a chance to speak with Melissa.
A week from now we might very well have the opportunity to show the soldiers more about why we're cool.

The opinions of the common man are beneath me.

[x]From what you saw at the Marble Hall, mages tend to stick together and respect each other. Maybe you can talk to the Imperial mage, try to get him to be reasonable about all this.

This is the most practical option, though it's not really something Ryza would do tbh

You hold up your glowing hand. "I'm fine," you say again. "I can just pulse a bit of White magic through myself every now and then, that takes care of most issues."

The former thief grins. "Must be nice, to just be able to erase anything that goes wrong with a flick of a finger," she says.
Yeah, magic is nice.

Hm. Side benefit of discovering a way for humans to use magic without dragonstones: Magic will become accessible to people who can't afford a rare, finite resource. Maybe everyone will be able to erase things that go wrong with a flick of a finger!
You shake your head. "It's not that simple," you say.
Fair. That's a peacetime goal.

Your worried thoughts are cut off by an excited squeal. "Oh Sun you're real!"
Good news: Ryza has fans.

Bad news: Ryza has met one of her fans.

"Hi," she says, her eyes watching your wings move with every flap. "Wow, Auntie Softshimmer said that you had wings, but they're a lot bigger than I thought they were gonna be!"
Obviously. That's why she can fly.

It takes more than abstract practicality to get me to vote for something Ryza wouldn't do. This is her story, after all.

We can do something about the tension later. We can only talk with Melissa while we're here.
