[X] You decide to fly with Lacroix. Sir Octavio wasn't super keen on him being able to fly into Legerius, and with some of the problems going on between the Kingdoms and the Empire you can understand that. However, the mage seems nice, and you'll make sure he doesn't go snooping. Besides, it'll be nice to spend some time with Firescale, she's a sweetheart as far as wyverns go.

This is the only one I'm truly set on.

[X] Of particular note, you tell Lacroix- (Choose at least one)
-[X] a lot about Makai. You show him the scrolls you recovered, as well as some of the fragments that are scattered around the library. You look over some of the fragments of scroll he brought with him, and the two of you end up improving a bit upon the makeshift dictionary you'd already made. You even end up letting him keep a few of the more damaged pieces, so he can show them to other Revisionists.
-[X] a lot about Manakete magic. You show him your tablets, how you feed magic into them to get them to work. You talk about how the different Tribes were shaped by their color of magic, and how they in turn could cast it at will.
-[X] a lot about Manakete history. You dig out an old scroll that you'd found in the Deep Library that has a map of the traditional homelands of the different tribes, as well as some of the major holds. He mentions that some of them are known to humans, but others, he seems surprised by.
-[X] Write-in (subject to veto): a lot about Manakete culture. You tell him about how you lived, about how the tribes were organized, and about the Mother.

"This is who we were"

[X] What are some interesting things you learned? (Choose one for each thing you told Lacroix)
-[X] You tell him of your goal to show humans a better way of using magic, so that they don't have to grind up your peoples' stones to help themselves. He is sympathetic to your plight, and he does have some ideas that might prove helpful.
-[X] At one point, during the discussion about manakete and magic, you end up telling him about Archduke Letoro's plan on making you Agrithe's head mage, and how you need to get accredited before you can do that. Lacroix is happy to add his own seal to Jenna's report of your capabilities.
-[X] While he doesn't seem to really want to say much about it, you are able to get Lacroix talking a bit about what's going on in the Empire. It turns out, things are a little more complicated than you'd thought… possibly more dangerous.
-[X] The memory of Kopoi's seal lingers in your mind for some reason. When asked, Lacroix is happy to give you some insight into the topic, as well as other Seals. They're really quite fascinating bits of magical work.

Why Kopoi and not the Union? It's in the vote option itself: if the friendly old man doesn't know Jack or Squat about the Union, then I want the info he can provide about something that does exist in a powerful form we've only briefly gotten a look at.

Oh, right, preventing international incidents and bringing old friends together and if we're lucky getting another bite at becoming certified with someone who would probably be more than willing to escort us through EMPIRE territory like we did through Kingdoms territory. Plus it allows "hey look, it's a manakete flying in heart form! Yeah, that's a friend, so whoever they're with is probably also a friend" to become a thing.

Because we've been told repeatedly we're not given trap choices. He may not know about the Union specifically, but given that it is the focus point of the option I assume he'll have some insight on past human/manakete relationships - if not directly then perhaps how it may have been distorted.

Plan Vote
Roger. For anyone that voted for my plan as it was written, I edited it so it now falls under

[]Plan Information Exchange

because I couldn't think of any dumb puns or references on the spot for a better (worse?) plan name.

A few people have suggested that it would be easier if this were a plan vote, and looking back at what we've got so far I find myself agreeing. If you would all go back and change the conversation votes into a plan, that would make things much simpler.

Thank you for your patience.
Got it. My plan is now

[] Plan This Is A Manakete

Mostly because I couldn't think of a better name.

Ok will my plan is called
[X] Plan Exchange of Knowledge and what are the Manaketes

[X]Plan Information Exchange

[X] You end up flying alone, carrying a letter for Jenna from Lacroix. You know the way, and without anyone on your back you'll be able to make good time. It'll be a little risky, but you're a big girl and you can handle yourself. You've done pretty well so far.

I think that's more or less my vote from before adapted to plan?

Kopoi being weirdly powerful showing up again is no accident. I smell our mean neighbor stumbling into one before long and that sounds like a bad time.

It doesn't actually _matter_ because my weird thought will disappear in the bandwagon of plan voting anyway, but nothing to be done for it.

"These are my friends. That's Kelton and Claire, and there's Sir Octavio, and Belle's hiding over there-"
"Hey!" Belle calls irritably, poking her head out. "Did you think maybe there was a point to me hiding?!"
"Oops."
Mother bless Ryza. Kid doesn't have a renegade bone in her body. (Bodies?) She's gonna need that blessing when she starts dealing with dishonorable people that dislike her.

"I could take her," Lacroix says smoothly as he joins you all at the table. "My apologies for eavesdropping, but if you are concerned about young Ryza's safety on her way back to Castle Legerius I can guarantee that Firescale and I will see her safely to the journey."

Sir Octavio's eyes narrow slightly. "My Lady is currently not too keen to have Imperials poking around her domain," he says coolly.
I wonder if there's some way we could convince the relevant nobles to see Lacroix as just a convenient taxi Ryza stumbled across and a friend of friends, instead of an enemy agent. Speaking of which...

To be fair, non-plan voting also gets bandwagoned hard (especially with options complicated enough for plan votes to be applicable).

Roger that, deploying plan vote protocol.

IIRC, a long while back - probably when Kopoi's Seal first came up, I started speculating that the magic was similar to that of Ryza's Shrine in that both appeared to work by finding/choosing a person they approved of... and Soaring replied to it with something like "brb changing my notes" so if we take that at face value and not a playful joke it could be related to the construction of the shrine.

I actually agree with you it's an interesting option. I just felt that if an option were to be dropped to include it I'd drop Lacroix's help on the accreditation process and trust that Letoro and Jenna know what they're doing and we're good to go there even without the extra vote of confidence. They were all good options, that's what made it tough for me!

However, the mage seems nice, and you'll make sure he doesn't go snooping. Besides, it'll be nice to spend some time with Firescale, she's a sweetheart as far as wyverns go.
    [X]Plan Information Exchange
-[X] Of particular note, you tell Lacroix- (Choose at least one)
--[X] a lot about Makai.
--[X] a lot about Manakete magic. You show him your tablets, how you feed magic into them to get them to work. You talk about how the different Tribes were shaped by their color of magic, and how they in turn could cast it at will.
--[X] a lot about Manakete history. You dig out an old scroll that you'd found in the Deep Library that has a map of the traditional homelands of the different tribes, as well as some of the major holds. He mentions that some of them are known to humans, but others, he seems surprised by.
--[X] Write-in (subject to veto): a lot about Manakete culture. You tell him about how you lived, about how the tribes were organized, and about the Mother.
-[X] What are some interesting things you learned? (Choose one for each thing you told Lacroix)
--[X] Still trying to wrap your head around the Union described in Solariana's scroll, you drag it out and show it to Lacroix. While he's never heard of it, he does have some interesting insight on the topic.
--[X] You tell him of your goal to show humans a better way of using magic, so that they don't have to grind up your peoples' stones to help themselves. He is sympathetic to your plight, and he does have some ideas that might prove helpful.
--[X] At one point, during the discussion about manakete and magic, you end up telling him about Archduke Letoro's plan on making you Agrithe's head mage, and how you need to get accredited before you can do that. Lacroix is happy to add his own seal to Jenna's report of your capabilities.
--[X] While he doesn't seem to really want to say much about it, you are able to get Lacroix talking a bit about what's going on in the Empire. It turns out, things are a little more complicated than you'd thought… possibly more dangerous.

[x] Your friends are able to talk you into taking one of them with you, carrying a letter for Jenna from Lacroix. This will slow you down, as you'll have to do the old half-shift skipping. However, they insist it will be safer for you to have some backup.

So about a day left, and there's still some votes that aren't in plan-vote format. If needed, I can extend the time a little since I forgot to set the vote as plan format in advance, but please change your vote to plan if you haven't already.

Considering the situation, we'll probably need all the allies in the Empire we can get. And fellow head mage allies. And revisionist allies. It's just too good of an opportunity to pass by.
P.S.: I've just caught up, and I really enjoyed the story. Wish more quests were like this and not just numbers and grind.
