Fiend: Thread Three, Thread Harder. [Exalted/Worm]

All this abbreviation of The Beon Dragon as TED makes me think of him as the Host and main Speaker at TED Talks.

"Next up! the Ebon Dragon speaks on Enlightened Self Interest and The Nature of Creation."

So ritual worship is likely defined as a mostly rigid construct of rules and behaviours that is repeated for the devoted to reingrain their belief in the object of said belief.

If that can hold water, would Uber&Leet's youtube following count as a cult if they 'ritually' watch every single of their casts/videos?

Becauise that could be hilarious.
Yes, as we were joking about in the TwilightSolar!Taylor thread, she could just put out weekly stuffs and well...
"Thanks for watching, see you next week! Don't forget to Like this video, Subscribe to my channel, and Follow me on Twitter!"

There has been a number of mention of the motes gained by stunts causing an anima flare. So first up, she can just recover personal motes, spending those won't cause any unwanted side effect. Next when the anima banner is at the iconic level, it is not noticeably different from the beacon level (the one just below) when she is not spending essence ; and during any second during which she spends some additional peripheral motes the iconic banner may appear. Since she was already at the iconic level*, no spider appearing means nothing.

* When the anima banner enters the iconic state, the icon appears, it then comes back when essence is spent if the Exalt wish it to ; this errata was sneaked in Alchemicals and isn't very well known

Also, Taylor is back to buying charms via stunting. I am now eagerly awaiting her having a Limit Break in the middle of an encounter with Simurgh. This can't be taken badly.png

... so is a target running away when that happens possible or does that lead to the Simurgh dying, or far worse submitting?
I was more thinking 'everyone believes Taylor has been Simurgh'd and she gets a killed on sight order', because that's how Taylor has fun.

She pistolwhips the Simurgh until it can get away. She stops to pluck new guns out of the hands of nearby tinkers a few times because her guns keep breaking on the Simurgh's face :D

Taylor taking control of the Simurgh? Well, they wouldn't kill her immediately if only to force her to use the smurf to fight the other Endbringers.

They'd also probably think the whole thing is a trick until the next Endbringer attack came around and saw Simurgh fight Leviathan or Behemoth.

BTW @logiccosmic Are you hiding the character sheet now or will you be posting it up soon?
It's being held hostage by a Pattern Spider at the moment. :p

More seriously, we've been busy trying to edit and fix up all the previous chapters. Also, logic and I need to see if we can post some of the fanart that's been made for Fiend here soon. Yes, Fiend now officially has fanart.:D

So is there a prevailing theory on which Endbringer it is?

Also what the protocol when the Endbringer alarm is sounded?

Does it occur before imminent landfall or just as soon as they have a confirmed siting? How does the PRT coordinate with Rogues & Gangs to prepared for them.

Either Smirugh or Levi.

Behemoth tends to be.... less then subtle.

Quite the contrary, I think he'll be extremely proud of her. Not even a couple days into her Exaltation and she was already backstabbing her patron without even realizing it. He'll totally move to mess with her, but that's because he's the Ebon Dragon, not due to being enraged. Give her time to really get it together and her treachery will be legendary.

Warning - Yozi thought processes may not be productive, useful, or sane. :p
Can he even be proud of her?

That depends on several factors, philosophical stand points, and mindsets.

But by basically any human standard, no. Danny is a better father figure by far.
Except possibly by the metric of 'prepared Taylor to succeed in life'.

One gave her an inconvenient sense of morality, the other gave her cosmic power and the ability to lie better than anyone ever.

This is why I hate infernal exalts unless you somehow manage to ignore your power and never use a charm your fucked.

  • Don't do evil shit you get limit and do really evil shit
  • Do good things with your evil powers, evil powers fuck with your mind every time you use them until you don't do good things.
  • Get stronger to protect what your care for and your strength destroys what you care for.
It's nothing but catch 22 I just want to know if she'll notice and counter these fuck overs otherwise I really don't want to read such a depressing story about everything turning to ashes around her... that is what canon is for.
