[X] Answer him, Tell Kiritsugu that you just viewed how Rin's father Tokiomi died and then saw what happened to her sister a year before the Grail War
hopefully that is the caseAnd I suspect Rin is this close to hiring Kiritsugu to take a hit out on Zouken and/or Kotomine.
Rin trying to hire him dos not mean he has the capacity to.hopefully that is the case
EDIT: how is Kiritsugu going to do that in his current condition?
the correct term is 'sorcery'much as I dislike Rin, she needs human comfort right now, not psykery/magery 'fixing' things
no you know because it was voted on, Shiro has yet to awaken it
Full disclosure: this is based on my limited knowledge of Origins, Elements, and Incarnates, and the effects of them on personalities. So don't take this as the last word on things.
Okay...so we have Knowledge as both an Element and Origin, which means that Shirou is an Incarnate of Knowledge. That means that not only will he be able to acquire knowledge more easily and potentially be able to develop greater abilities based on it (perhaps something akin to Sion's Etherlite?), but he'll also be defined by it quite a bit. Probably as an obsession with learning similar to Magnus. When that's combined with Immaterial and Warp it also means that it will not only be easier for Shirou to learn warp-based magic, but he'll probably have a subconscious urge to do so.
Warp means that there's a fundamental part of Shirou connected to the Warp, so it should be easier for him to use its power but he'll also be more at risk from its negative effects.
Immaterial means that Shirou will be able to connect with aspects of the world with that quality such as spirits and the like; it may even boost his ability to control Servants. At the same time it will probably give others a feeling that Shirou has this 'otherworldly' quality about him with that connection to the supernatural.
Lightning and Tool mean that Shirou can pick up lightning-based magic as well as general Tracing better.
...I think that's how that'd all come together. Probably.
Edit: Final note: Shirou having multiple Elements/Origins is not normal, but perfectly justifiable as Magnus' soul/power bleeding through into Shriou's body. That being said, if any other Magus finds out about this, they'd definitely freak out or want to start experimenting on him depending on how much of a sociopath they are.
Okay... After some considerable though I think I've come up with something.
Taking Kiritsugu's origin of Sever/Bind as an example when someone has a duel origin all the concepts are applied in the proper order...
Example: Origin bullet, severs what it hits then binds it together but not perfectly.
Lifestyle, Kiritsugu always cuts himself off from someone or something before binding himself to something else, His father, Natalia, the Einzberns, and eventually his dream of being a hero.
So... If we apply that to Shirou's origin of Knowledge/Immaterial/Warp...
Shirou will always seek more knowledge first before acting and will act on knowledge rather than instinct, his sensitivity to the Warp and his ability to conceptualize the immaterial will mean he will always be able to see more clearly then others (except maybe Magnus) but doesn't guarantee that he will know what to do with that knowledge.
He will likely not care so much about material things (Including himself) verses the chance to learn more.
He will always be able to figure out how to do something, but will struggle to figured out if he should do something.
Combine that will his Element of tools and Lightning and he will probably be very good with tech, maybe capable of creating tools that can affect the Immaterial and the Warp as well as the physical world.
He will be able to affect thing of a spiritual nature more easily and perhaps the more conceptual nature as well.
Well... that's what I've come up with at least, what do the rest of you think?
Hmm...I think we're getting a good idea of what the effects of his Origin would be on his magic and how it would shape his personality, but I wonder how this affects Shirou's interactions with others. And naturally, that's the most difficult part...
Okay, so let's theorize based on the logic in the last post. When talking to someone Shirou would probably want to either know a decent amount of information about the person beforehand, something which is easy for him between his own powers and Magnus' help. And whether it's through conversation or his magical abilities, he'd want to learn as much about the other person as possible. Given the whole 'knowledge' thing this would make him come across as inquisitive to a potentially unnerving degree especially if he starts talking about things that he really shouldn't know about normally.
There would also probably be a bit of a disconnect with 'normal' people since they don't have as much of an immaterial presence. At the same time though he'd probably bond with anyone associated with the supernatural more easily, and be more interested in learning about them.
Finally, this whole set of traits would make most Magi hate him, since he would want to learn more about the mysteries they have and he'd be able to figure them out by reading their minds. Again, much like Sion, now that I think about it...
Does that seem legit? And more importantly, does it gel with everything said so far?
I was more thinking of his gaining Knowledge about people being something more passive for that ability, like learning more about others jut by talking to them, Like he is doing it subconsciously, surprising himself at time on thing he knows
Take what I say with a pinch of salt, I'm no expert and merely making a stab at this. My post will deal with the effect on his power more then anything else.
Lightning
Tool
Knowledge
With a combination of elements like this...Shirou would lean towards being someone who would have an affinity to electricity magecraft and incorporate it easily in other mysterious (literal or symbolically). But knowledge and tool together also leans towards craft that deals with UNDERSTANDING things (or people) work, and tool for physical objects that he can use as a 'tool'.
Overall...I know his tracing will not only be more useful (in terms of what he could make),if more expensive. Though knowing more about something doesn't equal sympathy, let me know if I'm wrong, but isn't his tracing ability banks on his "understanding" of an item? Does it mean literal knowledge or the ability to sympathize with it...
Origin
Knowledge
Immaterial
Warp
This I feel a bit better at talking about. Now as an incarnation of knowledge he would be a savant at spells like 'Structural Analysis' even more than he was in canon. But on the other hand as an Incarnation, he would be limited to those type of spell, but with his multiple origins, he isn't as limited in theory. Then, of course, the issue is that he can learn incredibly easy but Knowledge doesn't equal understanding or wisdom. To know doesn't mean you understand what you know.
Warp...well it's kinda self-explanatory. Shirou will find his warp abilities more powerful and mage craft that "warps" something...like space for example. Powers that deal with changing something into something else will likely be easy for him (again mage craft wise).
Immaterial; Hm...i feel with this he would have an easy time with more...conceptual magics, Like the Emiya's time accel for example. Spirits and demons would also technically fall under this along with the Astral if I'm not wrong. It's less flashy (mostly) but powerful...if difficult to actually use.
Anyway those are my thoughts; feel free to agree, disagree or debate on it
This gives me an idea. So how about knowldge gives us an edge in things in structural analysis letting us understand objects including weapons and noble phantasms and how they were made and what would be needed to make them. Tools would let us create tools of course including giving us way to recreate most of what we see including NP(of course this would be limited). Warp and immaterium would then allow us to use our creation abilities to their full potential since warp and immaterium would let us do things like make it far easier to create objects in Shirou's mental landscape which he can store in there and later bring back out.
So the idea is that Shirou can easily recreate anything he sees inside his mental landscape thanks to tools, immaterium, knowldege and warp letting him both analyse and store objects data in his soul as a database while also letting him recreate anything by warping reality inside his own landscape to make it work. Of course it would be balanced out by certain things being way more costly to bring into the real world limiting what he could do. Though if he were to use his reality marble...
Examples of what he could do include is create 'pockets' of reality where they function like his reality marble but seperated from his soul. He could use his own brand of sorcery/magecraft to open up a 'gate' to a pocket and then chuck in materials which he could do far more in this pocket where his abilities would let him use the materials as if he was in the in his own version of the warp. So he could do something like create a highly advanced lab in his pocket much easier then he could in the materium and then move it to the real world while having a copy in his mental landscape.
So what do people think about my ideas? Because I think it could use some work.
