Comforting people is not something you are good at, notably you haven't had any real experience in doing so, however you can tell that crying that much would lead to dehydration at the rate Rin is going, you also probably would need to get a mop.
Given the fact that she is probably feeling cold, instead of a glass of water you decide to head from the dining room into the kitchen and make her a cup of tea. Kiritsugu did have some of the more foreign black types in the house. Perhaps that will help.
<It will help get her grounded, but don't expect it to do all of the work> Magnus informs you. < it's not magic> he adds. You are certain that that was not a jest nor jape and that Magnus was only informing you that you shouldn't expect the tea to do the work for you.
You vaguely recall as you let the the water boil that there is a way to drain negative emotions or harmful chemicals that cause negative emotions out of a human being.
<You should not try that just yet,> Magnus instructs <that and it's not something you should use arbitrarily either.>
Pouring the tea into a mug you wait for it to set, noticeably Rin is still sniffing and sobbing so whatever Kiritsugu is trying to do it's not working.
< He is providing physical support and waiting for her to calm down a bit> Magnus states < also you should take the tea out in about twenty seconds> he notably suggests. < Otherwise the brew might be a little too strong to get the desired effects, but any sooner and it will be too weak.>
You comply with this taking the teabag out of the mug before you bring it over to the still sobbing Rin. "Here" you gesture to the mug "drink" you instruct.
Rin is a little too fragile at the moment to refuse so she complies taking the cup in trembling hands, something you make sure to stead so she can sip it without burning herself.
It takes several minutes but Rin manages to calm down a bit after sipping the tea at infrequent intervals. "Emiya san" she manages weakly after calming down a bit. "could the vision have been wrong?" Her question is one of hope, she is praying that this is just some nightmare or that you had seen wrong.
<There is nothing to hinder or compromise your second sight> Magnus informs you <Unfortunately because of that I was a little careless and the two of you could have effected the past if you so chose> the Crimson King explains, but you already know this.
The fact that Kiritsugu is here ties your hands in the way you answer this "yes" you tell her bluntly "my second sight is not compromised, so when viewing the past, it we would not be seeing something that is false." At Magnus's prompt you put a hand on her shoulder to keep her from breaking back into tears.
"The Grail" Rin begins falteringly
<She is about to ask if she can undo what happened to Sakura if she wins the Grail War> Magnus states <a good thing that we have an expert on the true nature of this grail with firsthand experience.>
"No" Kiritsugu replied "the Grail cannot grant a wish like that" he informed the girl. THe MAgu Killer sighed "it cannot grant you such a wish anymore. It can only cause pain and death."
While his presence may have tied your hands for some things you are grateful that you have a person with firsthand knowledge being the one to tell her.
Rin shakes her head "No" she denies "you're lying otou sama spent his whole life trying to gain the Grail."
<What a wasted life> Magnus comments, you share his sentiments.
"Rin" you say "calm down, you have just witnessed the truth of what happened to your father and what happend to your sister, it is understandable that you are feeling upset."
"Upset" Rin shrieks at you "of course I'm upset, I'm not just upset I'm furious."
"Don't take it out on me" you say a dark and menacing tone creeping into your voice "I only showed you the door, you chose to look inside." Not a lie but not the whole truth either.
Magnus seems to approve of this <just be careful, while it is not right of her to take her frustration out on you, just remember what condition this girl is in.>
You realise that what you said could make things worse "I'm sorry" you try to give your best impression of being apologetic. "Shouting back at you is not going to solve anything" you explain.
"I can't let this lie down" Rin states "Otou sama and Sakura, someone needs to pay."
<I an think of three individuals actually> Magnus adds <but her father Tokiomi is already dead so we would need to call his soul back here to properly 'make him pay'.>
There is that problem you agree, Rin's father is also one of the people responsible for this mess. If he had not desired to get rid of Sakura she would not have been thrown into the worm pit and if he had not taken Kotomine Kirei as his apprentice then he would not have been killed. The irony runs thick, like clotted blood.
Magnus chuckles at that comparison <you are learning well> he informs you. <So what are you going to do now that she had said that?> The Crimson King's question echoes inside of your head.>
[] Tell Rin that is nonsense as she is now will only get her killed
[] Tell Rin to be patient, the right time will come
[] Tell Rin to be patient, the right time will come, offer to be her ally in this eandevour
[] Offer to help Rin , the fake Priest and the Dead Apostle are both threats,
[] Look to Kiritsugu for his opinion
[] Ask Magnus for his Opinion
