[Exalted, ?] Most High

So, to clarify for the thread: A vote for Embracing Clarity is also a vote for no more actual relationship development with anyone unless it serves the greater purpose of Saving Creation? Because wasting time on developing such things unnecessarily is suboptimal?

No. You're not even going to be in Limit Break the vast majority of the time, but even Odyssial in Limit Break knows the value of alliances if they have to be made, and can act accordingly. However, as a side effect of ultimate clarity he temporarily does not feel empathy or fellow-feeling, which makes genuine gestures that cement allegiances difficult in that state, if the targets are good at lie detection. He is aware of this drawback and thus does not waste time in Limit Break socializing.

Then answer me this: For what reason we gained power in the first place?

During Ulyssian quest, did we not gain power so that we can protect those close to us? And so that we can reduce the suffering of mortals? And yet here we are, killing civilians just because they were in our way, never mind that they weren't aware of the corruption among the viziers. How many died, not knowing the reason their King cut them down? AND YOU HAVE THE GALL TO CALL IT "EFFICIENT"!?

Then if we trade our emotions, our morality, for unlimited power, is it still worth it when we look back on our work, and see the ones we have cut down on our pursuit for the golden tomorrow just because they were in our way?

Can it still be called a perfect world, if we are known to be a tyrant instead for all eternity?
We only killed the viziers and 16786 people would disagree with the idea that killing them is a bad idea.

So @Rihaku if we pick Resist the Clarity or Snap out of it will this prevent us from continuing to recover Odyssial's memories especially stuff like the Fairest and the Lathe? (Actually how DO we recover memories anyway?)

Vote Clarification: To The Limit
Let's clarify what Embracing the Clarity will do -

*Odyssial will not try to end this Limit Break prematurely.
*Nor does he have the ability to maintain permanent Limit Break.
*He will not become an emotionless robot outside of Limit Break, though he will emerge with a greatly changed understanding of his priorities.
*While previously he was somewhat unsure and irresolute, he now will focus on the fastest path to Creation-saving power: recovering his memories and unlocking the sane and useful Elder Exalts, like Lea.
*As Ulyssian he will still experience the full range of human emotions, as suboptimal normal, and will have to deal with how those interact and conflict with his new priorities. It should be fun!
*Future decision points will use an incentive gradient that reflects his re-prioritization of Becoming Stronger.

being the most powerful isn't all that fun anyways. better aim at being the most wise
You could argue that tearing a cruel and unjust world down and rebuilding it into something better would be the wise choice, the pain of rebuilding would heal with time after all but the structural issues of the old world would only cause more suffering.

Why would since you'd be wise enough to either prevent it or accept that it wasn't your fault/responsibility?
Ulyssian has the capacity to fix all the problems of the world, so if they aren't fixed it is his responsibility, rendering the second half of your point moot. For the first part: If your "wisdom" is enough to destroy and rebuild the world, how is it different from power?

Cast 20 Ambition 3 Solar Circle Workings and create a custom-built Primordial if you need backup!
I find that amazingly appealing ever since lunar/titan quest by jukashi

Is wisdom useful when all it does is remind you of the suffering you could have prevented, had you the conviction?
It would be wisdom enough to know that had you the power you would be lacking the wisdom to use it correctly.

Also, keep in mind that the reason he failed in the first place is that he was so abhorrent that a massive alliance stopped him.
While there is nobody capable of stopping full powered ody right now, they are certainly capable of stopping the MC as he is right now, a mere E5.
Appearances and alliances are a form of power in of itself, one which ody under estimated.

Funnily enough even in the midst of Limit Break, the most coldly rational Ody ever was, he still recognised the usefulness of allies.

An alliance rose to kill all Solars, of which he was a subset. When people did specifically target him it was because they didn't like the idea of him killing them. Were their lives worth the eternal happiness of an infinite and perfect world?
