[Exalted, ?] Most High

Some Evocation ideas:

It twists the ambitions of others to serve its wielder. Everyone who opposes Ambition ends up aiding the wielder of Ambition.

Rival Spirit: Entering a real, life-or-death fight with Ambition grants massive bonuses to training speed.

Anyone with a willpower score of < 3 automatically serves the Ambitions of the wielder of the sword.

Nothing can stand between Ambition and its goal. Makes you move really fast.

Pierce the heavens: Same as the Total Annihilation spell, but with a sunlight/solar theme instead of green.

Break the glass ceiling: Any mortals aiding Ambition can heal like Exalted, spend willpower like Exalted, and can stunt like Exalted. Or something else? I'm not clear on Exalted 3 mechanics. Anyway, it makes mortals more like Exalted for a brief while.

Lacking all restraint: Every time you take a major, ambitious risk, you get a bunch of willpower/motes.

Ceaseless toil: Training counts as rest for purposes of regaining willpower and motes.

Some sort of buff on Combat Groups aligned with the possessor that buffs them based on how many enemies the wielder of the sword slays? "Follow me and my glorious sword!" means they all get Fearless and perfectly pass Morale and Rout checks?

I'm not sure if you guys qualify for a two or three level stunt. Two is pretty much in the bag, but I'm having a hard time seeing three, which is supposed to be reserved for something like a Cavalier-level stunt in this format. Maybe in conjunction with all the Evocation suggestions you guys have given, I'll grant it.

It might inspire by example, but not by words alone.
So run with that. Victorious or successful actions on the part of the Bearer have positive buff results on those surrounding him. Also, if it's focused on being a sword, perhaps it could strike as such at any range its bearer can perceive properly?

On a somewhat similar note (fyi, my crunch knowledge is limited):
As a kind of parallel to the older Excalibur myths (a blinding light scaring enemies) maybe give opposing Battle Groups a morale penalty when Ulyssian has a totemic anima.

One thing that Ambition doesn't seem to have is any effect to alter the doubling number (or whatever its called) beyond double 10's for damage.

If I had more time I would come up with specific ideas, but I'd think that making successes even grander would be within its purview, and it would appropriately powerful for an evocation from the peerless sword.

Annihilating Stroke gives Double 9s on attacks and damage with Initiative 15+, given precedent from Ahlat's Ruin-Smiting Stroke.

Eyes raised to Heaven: Extras drop dead at the sight of Ambition. They aren't even worth your time.

Peerless ambition: None can match your skill. None can hope to keep up with you. Gain a bonus to fighting alone.

Reach further: Creates a magical defining intimacy focused around personal growth. Working towards this intimacy grants willpower.

Let nothing hold you back: Shed an intimacy. Recover willpower. Maybe some motes as well?

Burning at both ends: Boosts your mote regerneration the higher your stress levels are.

I don't know much about the mechanics for Exalted 3, so no numbers, but hopefully these give you some ideas.

Heretical is the best because it makes Ayns have to take time to start squishing it. Never give your enemy time to consolidate power.

How dependent is the Satrapy currently on the Navy for resources? If they're very depenedent, Scarlet Flag would be more useful as it would help ensure that our supply chain would be more secure. Furthermore, a Navy loyal to Zao would make it easier for us to control information to and fro the Satrapy.

The satrapy is self-sufficient, but support would help. However, you can also hire pirates to deliver goods.

I step out for a couple of days and come back to this shit? Ugh, I thought Fade Away was done for, and then there was the write-in... and it lost anyway. Bah, hindsight is 20-20.

[X] The Scarlet Flag Prophecy

If we're going to do stay in the Realm no matter the cost, maybe we should spend some time and effort protecting what power we have, rather than chipping away at the vast edifice of connections Syn has spent the better part of a millennium establishing. Her Realm won't fall in a day, certainly not while we aren't even around to help the process along, but we can prevent her from gaining too much ground in the Navy, if only because there's no ground to gain, only water.

All I can think of is Ambition:
-Cutting through the distance. Miles long slash.
-Cutting through all obstacles. Like Eye of the Unconquered Sun but more choppy.
-Cutting through the odds, give the wielder effective Size/Might equal to the strongest mass combat unit present
-Cutting through loyalties. Anyone killed by this mode gets a major/defining Intimacy to the wielder instead of dying if they submit.
-Enemies on the field get a penalty for paying attention to anything but the wielder.
-Wielder grows to match the size of titanic foes on the battlefield(or rather, the anima becomes a giant flaming mecha version of the wielder)

Fuck it, switching to full crazy.

[x] The Grand Heretical Prophecy

Go Big or Go Home!
Besides, now it doesn't seem so crazy any more with 10+ extra Evocation from our killy kill stick. The only reason I want with Scarlet Flag is that while we wouldn't be seeing benefits right away, strengthening Zao would give us benefits in the medium term. The Grand Prophecy would give uncertain benefits that may or may not benefit us in time or at all. Now that we have jump in power, I feel like gambling for the big prize.

The problem is that it requires constant attention, yet we'll be extremey busy in the days ahead. Not a good combination.
