[Exalted, ?] Most High

Seems a bit complicated, compared to just killing them!
Heh, fair enough. We can just wade into battle against the behemoths; if they're supposed to keep an eye on us, they can hardly hang back and linger in safety. Still doesn't address the Sidereal, who is ostensibly a noncombatant, but likely the most dangerous of the bunch.

... maybe we should just kill him.
Deathlords are ghosts, not Exalted. Far less of a protagonist.
They are the ghosts of the Lords of Creation, empowered by the shattered remnants of its creators. They are the last remnants of the glorious past and are to be underestimated at your peril.

It is not the Exaltation that makes the protagonist. It is the protagonist that earns the Exaltation. Had Odyssial never exalted, he would have become a Sorcerer, would have transformed himself into the equivalent of a Second Circle Daeva with Workings, and then used that precipice of power to transfigure himself into the equivalent of a Third Circle, and onwards...

She doesn't remember Ody, otherwise she would have been significantly more troubled during her interlude. Also, she wouldn't bother with such a plan as this - either stay away from him altogether while amassing overwhelming force, or attack with everyone she presently has in the hopes of killing him early.
The Gardener got an interlude?

I am still looking for Ambition Evocation ideas, if you've got 'em. Especially if you have a high level of 3E system mastery.

You know what'd be kinda funny? If Thistle was just what he appears to be, a random shmuck who pissed in someone's political pie and got sent to die for it.

Welp, that Sleeper is definitely Awake... Whether that is a good thing for Creation, is quite another matter entirely!
That gives us what, 13 Evocations? 14 with a level 3 stunt?

As far as Evocation ideas go, anything to enhance essence and/or willpower recover would be rather nice. Maybe modeled off some of the relevant Lore charms?

Well the swords theme is succeeding against overwhelming challenges through willpower and hard work right? Maybe something that grants willpower by facing challenges to partially in-nerf willpower regen.

Some Evocation ideas: Upon learning the Evocation, you chose a Defining Intimacy towards whatever your defining goal or ambition is. This Intimacy can't be eroded or changed as long as Ambition is attuned. When fighting to uphold the Intimacy you gain some form of bonus and may treat enemies directly opposing your Intimacy as Creatures of Darkness.
Should fit nicely with the themes and name of Ambition, right?

E3 really likes dice tricks, maybe an upgrade to Excellent Strike that let's you reroll 2s, too? A strike with Ambition isn't merely excellent, it is beyond excellent.

No such mastery, but ideas...

Something that replicates Lethos's poison, or Lethe's effect. Get a free attack every time you down a foe. Bonus damage against enemies who fear you, or an attack that strikes a supernal fear into watchers. Attaching a geas to frightened enemies. Attacks that impart some kind of crippled effect. Evocations that force enemies to focus on Odyssial, leaving themselves open to his lesser allies, or ones that keep enemies from retreating.

That was a truly impressive number of successes. That Fate Shifting Solar Arete is pretty ridiculous. Also stoked that WtS is locked so people will stop trying to give away Ambition for a while.
*edit, vote change to:
[X] The Grand Heretical Prophecy

Welp, that's me out. I'll still try though!
Are there any thematically appropriate buffs in War or general Generalship? While Ambition buffs only its bearer, that doesn't mean making said bearer a General and Warmaster par Excellence is outside of its themes. Perhaps an ability to percieve and react to a battlefield as a gestalt? Some bonus to battlefield awareness of events happening beyond the reach of even his enhanced senses?

Is there a list somewhere of what the evocations Ambition has actually do? Only three are described in the post where it was selected, and Priest's charm tree only has the name.

Also, for ideas, why not something along the lines of Saber Mirror Shield, but for offense instead of defense? That is, a boost to offensive power that scales with the power arrayed against Ambition's wielder?

What about this for an evocation. Ever time an enemy rolls a one against us that counts against their successes? So they only roll one 1 then they have the difficulty of the roll increased by that amount.

This would be in personal combat and how it would be explained in game is that the enemy made a mistake and we took advantage of it. Now some people have the chance to reroll such low results thing is ambition doesn't care about that the roll still counts but the reroll could count for a success as well though perhaps an upgrade to it may negate rerolls of certain numbers? Forcing them to go with the one roll rather then get to reroll a couple dice?

I fully expect this to be essence 5 level though and at the end of an evocation tree given how broken it sounds.

Artifact Update 2.

Why not steal someone else's willpower and use it as if it was your own? AMBITION, THEFT ULTIMATE!

Sadly, that doesn't really fit its themes.

Hm. Ambition is really focused on either being a sword, or really general buffs. It might inspire by example, but not by words alone.

Presence based evocations maybe? It exalts its wielder above all others, simultaneous uplifting him while also putting down its enemies. Debuff opponents due to his terrifying presence.
Social based combat that inflicts intimacies of terror on opponents and then gives bonuses based on those intimacies?

Well, Ambition is supposed to glow, so maybe something to increase/utilize that? Maybe a second anima or a boost to it's abilities. Possibly some sort of blade extension, allowing Ambition to be used as a sword even from outside of traditional melee range.
