Even Further Beyond [Complete]

Although, ransacking Heaven does once again bring up the question of whether the Fates have some Guanyin-esque dude lying around, ready to drop a universe-sized mountain on our ass.

I wonder- if the Fates are above our power level, does this mean we can call on Gods in the Tomb of the Netherine who are similar? That might assure our assault on Heaven even more.

Why not get the wish then kill the Fates?
That's...almost exactly the point of all of the proposed "turn yourselves into a pill", "endow me with all of your powers at the cost of your lives", "sacrifice yourselves to me that I might empower the Diagram" etc etc Wishes people have been talking about ever since Vengeance was first mentioned.

It would be pretty funny if the Heroine has the 3-Orb Immortality.

e: Wait, shit, Binary Magic + Immortality?

Binary Magic description:
Elven Artifice consumes the essence of its practitioners, leading to eventual madness and ruin, but can forge masterworks of world-shaping significance.
Immortality description:
Eternal youth and enormously powerful regeneration are yours; you recover from the most grievous wounds in a matter of seconds.
I don't see anything indicating you'd would give infinite Essence as well as infinite lifespan and super-regen, fortunately. That would be ridiculous of it worked that easily, though, and I can't rule it out. However, it does seem like it would make her somewhat less of an omnidisciplinary genius if she were restricted to Artifice, doesn't it?

Viable character builds:

Final Scion: T.Great + Y.Master
Nameless Prince: C.Bearer + Sword + Diagram
Reaper Man: L.Break + Cultivation + Reincarnation + Scythe

Most High: T.Great + Immortality

Greediest: T.Great + Sword + Reincarnation

Odd Combinatorial Works: Immortality + Binary + Scythe (UNLIMITED ARTIFICING WORKS)

This is Actually Evil: Scythe + Binary + Young Master

Hilarity: Scales, Young Master, Reincarnation, Cultivation (With Trebly-Bound)

More Hilarity: The Bow + Limit Break + Whatever

What I'm having a problem with is fitting Guardian Beast in anywhere.

Essence apparently scales to being smart/wise/charismatic/strong/etc.

Also, being a Fate, she can forge what artifacts she needs exactly.

Oh, she would definitely be absolutely terrifying with Artifice, and so all but certainly has some sort of access to the Binary Arts. I just don't think Immortality would contribute all that much to it, unless I'm missing something.

If we choose amplification then I guess we can even Kill both Fatr and Kong in his cocoon.

That is one way to "Break the game board",We will become alien that growing too fast for scientist to contain.

If we don't want to do any mind protection effect then directly kill Fate is the right choice.

I imagine one way to outscale Fate prediction before Heroine awaken is that lunar time chamber.

1 night for month translate to 5 years subjective time combine with amplification then that pretty much made us strong enough to ignore Fate.

Fate is 15+ esoteric that mean if we have 18 stage of power then we can pretty much ignore Fate entirely.

I imagine if we kill Fate first before heroine awaken then we have free reign to do our artifact without Rule 0 GM meddling.

I reread our mentor sacrifice and realize that pretty awkward moment if we resurrected him again to help us in diagram research.

Bae: ..form the depth of my slumber..you again

Ny: well,teacher it is complicated...

We will pretty much use his life again and he can not reject us because we literally try to use his life not his hate.

And if his hate for Winter still strong then he have more determination to Open The Way and torture Winter on heaven.

The update is not yet finished, I'll have to continue writing tomorrow. The winning vote was [X] Amplification + Open the Way and [X] Extra Diligent + Pursuit of the Truth. You guys chose an action plan that emphasizes training and personal power, so you may want to consider whether taking Azure Flare or True Incarnation will be superior. Azure Flare is significantly more proactive, and if you plan to invade the Celestial Realm with Open the Way you have less need of Incarnation's True Love immunity (esp. since you already have True Love resistance from Aurelia).

On the other hand, Incarnation gives the safety of mental immunity and another way to 'power-up' before Immortal Tribulation via forging a Magnum Opus to drop a stage.

To check, it also provides the hidden synergy with Immortal Awakening if we get that, correct? If so, I think it seems like the right thing to get. If not, probably I'd still want it, but I'd need to think more. (And oh well, no Face Myself. Well, hopefully we'll survive.)

But what would we forge a Magnum Opus for? Hitting Immortal Awakening after Magnum Opus is pretty hard as well..

Attacking the heroine just before she awakens and then attacking the Fates if we fail to kill her on our first try seems like the best approach. That both gives us a chance of getting the wish and gives us a plan B in case we fail.

I would like to pick True Incarnation, but we really shouldn't use it to forge a Magnum Opus. The downsides of that are really severe. Especially now that it would cost us two stages worth of power. It likely isn't worth losing even a single stage!

For example, consider the additional benefits we would have gotten by making the Bracer of Unyielding Might a Magnum Opus. Half a stage of physical power and a reality effect. Since we can get superior reality effects by sacrificing half a stage (by taking a reality masking stage) and since physical power is worth less than general power, that is worth significantly less than one stage. That leaves only making the bracers indestructible, which seems far from enough to make up the difference.

But what would we forge a Magnum Opus for? Hitting Immortal Awakening after Magnum Opus is pretty hard as well..
We definitely shouldn't do that (see the reasoning above). If we think that there is a large risk of such a vote winning, it might even be a good idea to pick Azure Flare instead.

If we could accelerate our Cultivation faster than the permanent drop in power it might be worth it.

Tons of things? Potentation, Cerebration, Deliberation, Might or just general Artifacts that does stuff.

I just never see it being worth it, at it exponentially slows our progression speed forever.
We could just make a Magnum Opus to give us far more time to work with?
Or really any Magnum Opus that allows Nameless greater progression speed than previously.
Perhaps something to make Extrusion even more OP than it already is? (okay bad idea)
Maybe make an artifact that makes Aurelia and all his lieutenants as OP as him? That got to triple their power.

Since this Opus is so costly, it got to be great as well. Worthy the sacrifice. An ultimate shiny.
Rule 0 GM got to be at least that kind of fair.

It probably will be worth it. Magnum opus can be absurdly strong, after all.
We do have a convenient Magnum Opus example, the benefits of which can be easily compared to the general stages of power we get from cultivation, and as I showed in my post above, turning such an artifact into a Magnum Opus clearly gave less benefits than even a single stage of power.

Now that it would cost us two stages worth of power, there really isn't much reason to conclude that it would probably be worth it...

If we could accelerate our Cultivation faster than the permanent drop in power it might be worth it.
Just faster wouldn't be enough. It would have to be far faster since we would have to catch up to where we would otherwise be before too much time has passed (which is arguably just a single year away).

A stage of power represents a far greater increase than tripling your power. Even more so for the two stages worth of power we would be losing due to All Paths.

The GM is already fair since we have gotten an easily compared Opus already, so we have been given enough information to tell that it probably isn't a good idea. This option doesn't say that it makes more powerful Magnum Opuses than usual and all of our options doesn't have to be good ideas.

Honestly, I can't see anything short of a monster vault, power type EFB essence/time grand (scaling power EFBs sound amazing), or general intelligence buff being even remotely worthwhile. Immortality gives us all the scaling utility we could want (including reality effects via FB protector), the Extrusion gets us powerful conceptual effects that we can potentiality tune via regulating passions, and with our impending deific power we can frankly use divine orbs to buy most other things.

True Incarnation is still far and away the better option here though. Immediate power when we need it, better odds of losing spoiled, more true-spells, and an easy shot to the wish vastly outweigh reduced costs for true-spells, and an ultimate esoteric attack that will almost certainly kill us and drain our cultivation.

I mean, by the time we hit IA after MO, we can make like five standard stage 14 Artifacts. Which wouldn't damage our progression speed.

In general, MO has to give us +1 stage for all purposes(although that 1 might be 1.5 or higher, depending on stage) as well as effects equivalent to higher Cultivation stages just to break even.

Also, in today's episode of Captain Hindsight, fuck i want Green Eyes so we can hit Xiaoling Loyalty 5 at some point and swap out Eyes of Kong for them. Oh well.

Note that Opuses would be significantly stronger than the Bracers were now that we have a lot more effective essence, and would also likely be scaled up some for eating two effective Stages rather than one (Stageless). But still, unless an Opus gave a significant progression boost it probably wouldn't be worth it, no.
