[X] Plan Lets Split Up Gang
-[X] Fan Morgal
--[X] Investigating the derelict station, The Silent Beacon, in the Bireen Void could uncover lost knowledge from ancient civilizations. However, the station's age and potential dangers lurking inside pose great risk.
--[X] Investigating Arktan, the frozen dwarf planet at the edge of the system, could reveal valuable hydrocarbons and organic compounds. The planet's volatile orbit and ice storms pose significant threats to exploratory missions.
-[X] Lorgar
--[X] Diplomatic overtures to the people of Sundar in the Irios system could yield new alliances. Their devotion to the twin suns and spiritual practices may cause friction with Colchisian beliefs.
--[X] Engaging in diplomacy with the Velosians, a post-human race, could expand Colchis's influence into new realms of science. Their superiority complex and isolationism make negotiations delicate and unpredictable.
-[X] Dharok
--[X] Reaching out to the independent trade stations scattered along the edge of the Bireen Void could help Colchis establish new trade routes. The stations are known for lawlessness and the presence of pirate activity.
--[X] Setting up an outpost on the dwarf planet Elyn, orbiting Haelon, could give Colchis a strategic base for further exploration. The planet's remoteness and lack of infrastructure make establishing a foothold difficult.
-[X] Thalassa
--[X] A diplomatic mission to the starport city of Velon on Sundar could open up trade with their highly advanced solar technology sector. Velon's strict trade laws and isolationist tendencies present a barrier to negotiations.
--[X] Conducting a study of the electrical storms on Damos could lead to breakthroughs in harnessing energy from gas giants. The storms' intensity makes it difficult to safely approach or conduct research.
Reasoning
- Sending Fan to the more dangerous tech missions because he is the Exalted, the closest to being omni-disciplinary and other than Thalassa the best with tech. At the same time if we do stumble on a Man of Iron, Daemons or the like we can try out that shintai form on them. Fan is just plain better in terms of combat than Thalassa is
- Sorcery sounds like just the thing to make the harsh conditions less harsh, none of the others can do this since Thalassa is limited by our tech base and no amount of encouragement will make people do the physically impossible
- Sending the spiritual diplomat to do spiritual diplomacy, the nice thing about the kind of broad animism we practice is that it is easily syncretized
- Same principle as the above, it is harder, but he is a social primarch doing social things. He is one of the best at this
- Dharok is best when he has an enemy in front of him he can shoot, this gives him one
- Not quite as easy for him, but I trust him to be able to deal with unknown gribbles and if he encounters something too odd he will be in coms range of experts in 'odd'
- This may look a bit odd but remember Thalassa is modular, she can set her primary to social and he inhumanly good at it and since this is just trade not trying to integrate them yet she should have an easier time than Lorgar in either of his missions
- 'Near Limitless Source of power' sounds like something any tech priest would love
