To make people actually remember, here's it once for posterity: Minako is nonbinary and uses they/them. This message will be pinned so you people stop getting it wrong and pissing me off. If you get it wrong in the future I'm going to be much less nice, considering you have to scroll past it just to read the quest.

This looks like the situation where having a time-stopping Magi with a lot of guns and explosives might come in handy. It wouldn't be quite SQ without Homura and ridiculous fire support, after all~
Beware, the time stop and the lot of guns and explosives come attached to an hyper dense ball of trauma.

Huh. Intriguing.

So, is Rin buying wholeheartedly into Kyubey's bullshit about "entropy" and "saving the universe" and "I am not evil"? Certainly looks it.
My reading is that she's establishing that Kyuubey is on her side. The Incubators working against you is, after all, cause for significant concern, and them working with you is very useful.
"And that stagnation is incredibly unhealthy to your end goal, is it not?"
Translation: "You don't like these bitches either, right?"
"Right, right." Rin rolls her feet. "So, what of my Congregation?"

'Left alone. Their grief levels are stable, and will increase as normal when they leave your influence.'
Translation: "And you're not going to fuck with me while we're fucking them?"

The second quote, especially, isn't one that would've appeared if she was working for or with the Incubators. The answer would've been established a long time ago. She's doing her own thing and just wants to be sure she'll be allowed to keep doing it.

Alternatively, Rin has managed to subvert a Kyuubey terminal to her own ends. We don't know exactly how her control works, after all.

Didn't Madoka say she's doing better?
I have a funny feeling there's still plenty of trauma to go around. Not just because 'doing better' doesn't mean that much when you start from the bottom of the barrel :V, but... Madoka kind of backtracked during that conversation?
"Oh, yeah, we met again a month ago. Nothing too serious; just talking. Like friends." Madoka swirls her drink. "Okay, you were on the money. I met with her this night, actually."
I think she's keeping some things to herself. Which is fine, but makes me feel things are less better than we might hope at first.

BTW, the hyper dense ball of trauma does not count as ammunition. Do not throw souls friends.

'Correct.' The creature smiles. 'And speaking of end goals, I have recently contracted the Miki child. Their wish is successfully fulfilled.'

"They?" The girl pushes her hand into her chest. "Oh, bless her heart. She doesn't know her destiny."

...jegus tapdancing christ. Is she pissy because she thinks witches are all essentially women?

I'm not sure if that's better or worse than "I have terrible great plans for them and no room to account for their gender identity".

It could also be that Rin has a power that somehow affects Grief? She's someone who can and *does* brainwash people who agree to let her do it, and if she can basically rewrite who they are, she could make them a person who doesn't, like. Feel emotions the way people actually do, or etc?

After all, she's reacting in the same "Sorrynotsorry" way that Kyuubi is whenever it hurts people. "I'm sorry you made me beat you, but it's your fault, unfortunately."

Nobody who's actually sorry about hurting someone goes, "Ah well, it's unfortunate I guess."

Would just mean the answers are more reliable. She's specifically asking about the Incubators' goals here, so the conversation is still her establishing that the Incubators want Mitakihara gone and won't stab her in the back while she's making us gone.

So what you are saying is that we would also be throwing a primed and ready black hole of concentrated grief in the middle of the Congregation and turn everyone into Witches.

The plan sounds better more and more now, I cannot foresee how this could go wrong at all~

Not even if Homura gives her consent. Specially if she gives her consent!

*Throws video into the trash, where it belongs*

I want to say your music choices have been great, and enhance your scenes perfectly.

Thought:

It's just a twinge of a hunch, but by Rin's wording, I think her and Minako's wishes are/were similar.

I got the same vibe. I think we're being set up for Minako being the only one who can really deal with Rin at the end of the day, and that Rin perfectly understands people so she can abuse them as a cult leader.

...Fuck the idea that Rin could perfectly understand someone's everything and STILL MISGENDER THEM makes her like the most rancid cunt. holy SHIT.

Hunh, It's a bit off the wall, but I have to wonder: Given the imagery in the transformation here (A Seraphim-esque witch doesn't sound too out of place for what we see of Rin,) the talk of stagnation and how it ties into the witchbomb, and everything around that...

Are Rin and the Glow trying to become something between a magical girl and a witch?

Mayhaps. Or perhaps Rin's wish was to basically deify herself as a cult leader.

She'll throw herself regardless because our lives matter to Madoka and if her friends died, she would be very sad. Homura would do anything for Madoka's happiness even now...right?

Glib remark aside, Homura is truly the Ace in the Hole that we have, at least without factoring what the blazes is Minako's power(s). By dint of experience, she is a veteran by 20+ years above everyone else. By dint of power, she could still wipe the floor by aiming at the Soul Gems in timestops. If she's been out of Mitakihara, that would mean that she's been keeping in shape by killing Witches and keeping a clean neighborhood around Madoka's area. If she's been out of Mitakihara, that would mean that she's been keeping in shape by killing Witches and keeping a clean neighborhood around Madoka's area, both in magical and mundane sense. Her miltech hardware has to come from somewhere. And I think local criminal elements might find it hard to keep a local inventory together without things going missing.

Of course, the drawbacks are...bad. I expect nothing less than Difficulty 2 Checks (prior to well reasoned arguments) to keep her cool and not crack. Same deal with stopping her from gunning everyone down. Same deal with... a lot of things.

On an unrelated note, I am still puzzled by the title of the Quest. I still am confused what or who is 'Easy to Find'. Probably will come in relevant the next Chapter or two.

Rin confirmed for trad catholic AND being That Bitch.

Violation of Rule 2: Complaining about the prevalence of LGBTQ representation.
Okay,I'll just be quietly waiting for the next update because the LGBTQ+ is reeing hard...i mean seriously, it's personally insulting sure but come on, don't let that be her only trait?... also I'd like to see some of these cis male magical dudes, could use something to counterbalance all the gay? Like seriously, how many of the heroic cast are gay/suitably LGBTQ, kind of alot, still Alittle hung up on that one girl asking first thing what another's orientation was too, but hey, still reading this cause i wanna see where this trainwreck goes.

I can't imagine why the sequel to a story about a lesbian relationship would choose to focus on a cast of queer characters, my dude.

I'm about 80% sure you must be trolling.
