Dungeon Crawler You!

Fairly unfamiliar with the original story, though I'm about 200 pages into the first book now. But when Moose reaches Sapience, ie 2 Intelligence, does he move from Pet to Crawler status? And if so, does he get a retroactive class + race option? Minding I'd never change his race in a million years.

Not even Rougarou | Myrkvidr Tales: Second Darkness | Obsidian Portal
this race?

I'm imagining Moose as a rougarou paladin in a suit of plate armor now..

+25% discount at all stores
We haven't talked about this ability of Wheeler Dealer, but it occurs to me that given we are planning a high cooperation tactic that we can totally arbitrage this. Give a bunch of other crawlers a 20% discount as we pocket 5% for our trouble. We should be able to completely drown in money.

Although maybe start with only giving people a 10% discount and mention that the more stuff we buy the more our rare buying skill should level up. That will bring in more incentive as well as more initial money.

This situation isn't addressed in the books but I don't currently plan on changing his status or giving him a race/class.

Reassuring news: Not simulationist. For those who aren't aware, I co-author another quest, Marked for Death, which is a hardcore simulationist quest with lots of crunch. DCY is my palette cleanser; it's narrativist, I get to use Rule of Cool and Rule of Funny whenever I please, and I never have to be bound by mechanics because there aren't any! I've rolled dice only once in 190,000 words. (Wow, this is already 190k words? How did that happen?!)

Holy shit this is actually the biggest revelation of the entire Q&A for me. The lethality just went waaayyyyy down in my brain calculations holy shit.

All of the front runners are variations on Wheeler Dealer + Sysop already, so I'll be voting for my preferred option in this only. I might add extra votes later though, to keep Catkin in front of Doppel. I prefer Zree because it's got much stronger long term prospects, even factoring in faction wars.

[X] Plan F*ck the Showrunners
Edit: Voting for Moose class instead

I definitely wanna take Moose's boxes at some point, but not being able to roll up his Silvers and Golds is a huge downside. So for now

[X] (Moose Box) Do not take Moose's boxes

Drew's class I don't have very strong opinions on yet

Yup. It was an editing error which got fixed relatively quickly after the abilities were posted, but apparently not quickly enough. Sorry about that.
Sigh. I thought that we were going to break the game over our knee within the next few days.
Just go to the Astronomy club and find someone with only Cooper boxes and open them for him. Repeat as needed leveling up the skill with gradually higher levels of boxes. But with the nerf we can only really do a single transfer a day. Which means that we are likely to get more boxes the normal way then by transfers.

We can do 1-3 transfers a day depending on how we want to do it. Keep in mind that if there's a day where we're not pulling a massive stunt Taylor's sysop powers probably won't be necessary.

I do have a paladin class that didn't get used...
Can I then, in perfectly good faith, make the argument that
Donut has a chance to change her race and class, and denies the race swap so therefore wouldn't it only make sense that upon reaching Crawler status
, Moose gets a backlog of updates from not being a Pet anymore? While there's not a precedent for retroactive stuff like that, there at least is for a Crawler that was once a Pet now getting classes and race options.

Minding of course that imho, Moose would auto select dog and nothing else; but the class would be interesting!

Again, best Moose box routing is to wait until Wheeler dealer can make celestials, and we try to make 2 with a single cast, which we then put on our taylors...

Looking at it, Local Access TV Psychic is great, so I'm fine with that.

Yes, yes, #NotAllCats
Hah. My cats were raised with dogs, so they come when their name is called, and frequently trot after me around the house.

(I realize you just clarified that, but also if you know anything about pet owners, we love talking about our fuzzy friends.)

Unless you want to wait for multiple additional floors or the AI to actively start helping us in screwing Borant through boxes, we're not going to get enough boxes from Moose to get even a single Celestial. I'd be surprised if we even got 4 Legendaries out of it, and that's considering the fact he probably already has one from our entrance to the Dungeon.

He probably has hundreds of Bronzes and dozens of Silvers, maybe up to the teens in Gold's, and less than five Platinums.

...Goddamnit I kinda want catkin but I also am thinking of all the cool things we can do with doppelganger.
Also, quite frankly, I'd kind of prefer to have everyone in the party keep the ability to have a human face if we could swing it. partially because of their loved ones recognizing them when this is all over.
[X] Plan: Wheeling, Dealing, System Screwing Multacorpalan

Human face with cat ears, Reach peak degeneracy.

Best Boy dog paladin class

On Moose's boxes, I don't mind rolling them later but I think we should experiment with the wheeler dealer first. One thing that's unclear is what type of boxes it's going to give when it upgrades: the most common type amongst the boxes used? a random type among the boxes used? a completely random type? a type because we got it through wheel dealer? a new type only available through wheeler dealer?

Type being like Prepper Box, or Badass Box.

This is particularly relevant to Moose because his boxes might be a type that specifically gives armor for dogs, and by rolling away these rarer boxes we might make it much harder to gear him up. Whereas if we find out how the rules work and roll his boxes later we might be able to influence the result such that we get a Celestial Dog Costume or something.

I'm also hoping opening the boxes in Drew's luck aura will lower the number of fleeting potions we get as those I think can only be used by Leo.
