Dragon Quest Online (SAO/Worm)

If that's so, then I'd be definitely curious at what it becomes after that. Could we have our consciousness in several of them instead of just one at a time?
Hmm, well Pop Cap 2 has the same border markings as Capstone, but none of the unlockables above Pop2 share that. It could just be because of a sort of fog-of-war type thing over the tree, or it could be because Pop2 has significant synergy with Capstone, or is a requirement of it. If the latter is the case then the arrows do not signify requirements for unlock but merely progression.

With that in mind, and considering the permenance of SAO abilities based on in-game behaviour, is it possible that the Capstone isn't a fixed unlock, but rather a variable limit-break-ish ability that will be change to reflect what path we took to reach it?

Edit: Proceeduraly generated movesets based on player behaviour?
Dex translates to a speed focused group of unlocks, armour to tank, and strength to beserk/charger, or all three to a general all-rounder?

I think Pop 2 is so expensive just because it's such a high force multiplier relative to everything else. Note that further Pop Cap upgrades become less and less expensive, because they aren't as much of a force multiplier when they're on top of the ranks you already have.

Good point, there's a similar pattern on the left at the top too, as well as a couple of points that look like a possible choices in unlock. Could picking one mean we get locked into that route of unlocks?

Unlocking those first two on the left seems like it would give a good idea of how the tree progression works, while also being a immediately cheapest/most obvious benefit.

[x][Update Action] Let's just say that drunk you is kind of a wizard and you're not going to try to find out.

I... can't remember if I voted or not.

I'm pretty sure that you need all of the skills with arrows leading off them to get what they're pointing to. They're all the same kind of arrow so they should have the same meaning, and it doesn't make sense for a skill to be equally accessible by purchasing five slots of intelligence upgrades, two slots of complexity upgrades, or four slots of cosmetic upgrades.

[X][Update Action] You don't know. You're at your job, nothing is going on, and then you're waking up out in a field.
-[X][Update Action] Head to an area where you're less likely to be overheard, if possible.
--[X][Update Action] Or just ask Yui if there's some sort of a private chat system you could use; if there is, use that instead.

Do we know for sure that they are purely intelligence, complexity, or cosmetic though? I'm just guessing because I don't actually know anything and don't have any details yet, sorry about that.:lol

Also, I don't understand why everyone's arguing over "Pop Cap." It's OBVIOUS what it does. It's right there on the tin: It allows you to pop a cap. Duh.

Maybe the golems can level up, and getting Capstone and Pop Cap 2 increase a golems level cap?
... You have met Datcord, right(like, on this site)? That's his default.
One of Datcord's other settings is shipping chart, or as he likes to call it, that Venn diagram with a single circle that has the word YES written on it. Another of his settings could be revenge if his sig is any indication.

[X][Update Action] You won it.
-[X][Update Action] By clicking on one of those "you're the ten-millionth visitor! claim your prize!" ads.

Hey, it could happen!

[X][Update Action] "Yes, but I'm Canadian. Seriously, though..."

Well, this looks interesting, and I have high hopes for it. So long as we don't have to worry about the Worm-side apocalypse, at least.
Incidentally, why does Dragon immediately presume SAO is a videogame, instead of a clever Lotus Eater trap for her? Or, alternatively, an alternate earth that's been spruced up a bit with Tinkertech or other powers? Either seems more likely than a simulation as complex as SAO, even if 'every Tinker in the world working together' is an overestimation of its difficulty.

Are you gonna be weird again? That got tiresome rather quickly last game.

Weird is @Datcord's state of being and I hope he doesn't feel at all pressured to change or otherwise restrict his activities in this thread.

Hmm, I wonder why...
HP: 250/250
Active status effects: -

Sprint Skill Discovered! You've discovered the Sprint skill! This skill allows you to run like the wind and increases the speed and distance of some Sword Arts.

Gained 1 Skill Point for Sprint!

"Lotus-eater trap" and "video game" can overlap, but either way, it can be a good idea to just run under the assumption that humans are people unless proven otherwise.

You know, Yui did say 'east coast' meaning the location of the game might have changed. Not really any groundbreaking differences to SAO but it would be cool if we got some worm characters here too. I'm not saying bring the whole cast, just the people who might go after a copy, like uber + leet or sveta.

That's either going to be great, or utterly horrific.

Wonder if L33t's shard is still trying to kill him?

Might be interesting since the more he makes the more experience he has and the higher his skill is, so the more likely he is to succeed.

Are you gonna be weird cheeky and fun again? That got tiresome delightfully whimsical rather quickly last game.
You had some really weird typos there, man. Fixed them for you. (Auto-correct, am I right? So weird!)

(Note: I mean this in the best possible way, Dat.)
Th-thanks? I think? (I feel like Alexander Pope....)

You make it sound like that's not my overall setting. An ur-setting, as it were.

No worries! I am immutable, like the very mountains!

Seriously, though, it's an entirely different thread with an entirely different premise. Just because Dragon's involved doesn't mean I'm going to start attempting to ship her with every single girl who was dragged into Kirito's black hole of character destruction harem as an attempt to save them from aforementioned black hole further my shipping fetish character and/or story development.

(Besides, it wouldn't work anyways.)

(....)

(Would it? Maybe we should try and find out...?)

([jk][Update Action] Find Asuna and take her out on a date!)
