Dragon Quest Online (SAO/Worm)

[X][Update Action] "Yes, but I'm Canadian. Seriously, though..."

[x][Update Action] You don't know. You're at your job, nothing is going on, and then you're waking up out in a field.
-[x][Update Action] Head to an area where you're less likely to be overheard, if possible.
--[x][Update Action] Or just ask Yui if there's some sort of a private chat system you could use; if there is, use that instead.

Just thought of another reason that Yui could have seen the third floor even though we're at launch.

She could claim that she was a part of the Beta. (It technically wouldn't even be a lie.)

[X][Update Action] You're not saying it was aliens, but... :turian: It was aliens. :turian:

It's all Goldilocks' fault.

EDIT: Also, why Golem Construction instead of Golemancy? Localization team sucked?

Let's see...

Intelligence: What they're smart enough to do by themselves without Dragon ordering them around?

Control: Probably exactly what it says on the tin.

Avatar: ???

Armor, strength, dexterity: Exactly what they say on the tin?

Pop cap, likely short for population cap: We can only have one active golem at a time, or just one golem at a time, period? Box around it is a little different than the others.

Module slots: Modular augmentations? Add items for +1 str, +1 armor, etc.?

Myself, I'm trying to figure out what the borders signify. It can't be Owned upgrades and Unowned upgrades, because there are single border upgrades we don't have. And there's the triple border upgrade as well, which isn't even the very last skill in that particular part of the tree. The number of Points it costs to unlock them, maybe?

Incidentally, I was just reading through, and Yui doesn't remember at any point in the chapter to actually introduce herself to us, and yet Dragon's still referring to her as Yui.

If you've got any good portraits for Dragon, starting posting them. I've got a few already, but I'm only one person.
Dragon's canon avatar was blonde, right? In that case, it's obvious. She's a dead ringer for Capt/Lt. Col./Colonel Samantha Carter. Now if only I could find a good hi-res picture of her in scientist/civilian clothes (i.e. not BDUs), and that doesn't have any watermarks or other characters...

That tech tree looks amazing, though.
Pumping Dex and Pop for zerg rush tactics would be great fun, can we pretty pleeease? *puppy eyes*
I want to rush that obvious capstone on the left side, personally. It looks important.

So, Dragon is basically super-average looking, sounding, etc. So if we need a picture of her we can find a pic of a ton of people who've had their facial features combined. Can't for the life of me remember if there's an actual term for something like that.

Seems cosmetic. Right now it's a photograph; golems have static 2D images for... faces? bodies? So not a priority, at all.

I think she's dark-haired, mainly because dark hair is the most common.

What is related to Complexity, Control, Avatar and probably Intelligence? and I hope the arrows don't mean all of those are need it to unblock it, but that any of them can.

I think Intelligence is what we can use them for. So right now, if we made one it would just be a suicidal attack dog. Next rank in intelligence we can make it protect us or others. ETC.

Control: This is probably the real intellegence method. Do we have to give it orders in real time and only one at a time or can we tell it to act in a certain way when different perameters are met and with certain level of priority.

Avatar might refer to how we can create the body. The less photographic the more we can alter the appearence and size to suit our needs.

It does, but in a bit of backwards logic that's what drew my attention to Pop Cap, since Pop Cap 2 has identical border markings, making me think there might be some sort of relationship between the two.

I suspect this is the case. It reminds me of the Civ 5 tech tree a little.

What happens when you combine Samantha Carter with Grace Augustine and Lara Croft?
Answer: Helen Magnus Dragon? ;)

Shouldn't the names for Searching and Sensing be the other way around? The way I think of it is, sensing means just noticing something passively but searching means you're actively trying to find something.

Also,
