Devil Trigger (Devil May Cry/Worm AU)

Dear god, the madness is spreading!

...well. I suppose its better this than the Dead Weight memes. Holy shit.
The only good thing about "Dead Weight" memes is that they're showing just how prideful demons can be. Even 1/3rd demons.
Plus Vergil memes are often way better. And after reading HH:ES yesterday I somewhat expect Taygil to just meme on her enemies at some point.

Good thing you didn't go the Nero route then, otherwise you would be Harassed by said meme. The type of Harrassment that would have gotten Dante Idiots Bitched Slapped Hard. Of course, this being DMC/Worm, someone is going to be called that. Then the Meme Horde shall be Unleashed!

So, earlier today, I officially told the readers of one of my fanfics, Chaldea in Remnant, that I am migrating to this site. Most people understood my decision and were still looking forward to seeing my content, but I've got just as many people telling me its a bad idea because of the "supposed ridiculous standards" and "browbeating" people on Spacebattles and Sufficient Velocity have.

Honestly? I really couldn't give a rat's ass about people on either site having high standards. I'm writing because I enjoy writing, and I accept any and all criticism because I want to grow as a writer. Hell, the whole reason I even became a fanfic author was to get experience for the day I start writing my first book.
On the one hand, people on Sufficient Velocity and Spacebattles do have higher standards and can kinda sorta come off as being really arrogant and whatnot, but on the other hand, FF.net is little standards and doesn't have a great deal of user interaction with readers.

Plus, fanfiction net has some very bad users. Hell, not too long ago, I had someone under the username "rapelordcocker", I am not even joking about that username btw, post what can only be described as Nazi fanfic review on ALL of my stories.

Crap like that is why I decided to migrate to SB and SV.

Plenty of deep cuts into the DMC-verse lore already. We got Rodin manning the Gates of Hell as per usual and what I'm pretty is Nico cooking up some crazy gadgets. Cant wait to see how you work in the circumstances of Taylor becoming part demon into the story...something like being a Descendent of Sparda?

SkyRig already said Taylor wasn't related to Sparda or his family in any capacity, though.

What? Thats dumb though. What is he gonna do just make it so her parahuman powers somehow turned her into a half-demon? I hope not cause that's really really stupid.
Shards are shards. Maybe they ran into a demon somewhere and decided to replicate one. It's up to the author to choose what happens and how it happens.

The Entities Travelled across the Multiverse for who knows how long, for all we know, Zion and his mate came across the DMC Crews world and got Bulldozed by the Twins and Nero after Getting Discovered, gaining info on the Bloodline of Sparda before hand. It would also explain how Thinker Crashed on Contessa's Earth, instead of just getting Distracted, and also why Zion believed she was Dead.

The underlying themes of Worm have a decidedly sci-fi bent. The entities like Scion and their Shards can do a lot of crazy shit but they still have solid (if ill-defined) limits. They arent magic. The shit that goes on in DMC, however, is magic. Just hand waving away any lore inconsistencies or incompatibilities as 'oh yea shards can do this now' is lazy and I dearly hope that the author has more creativity than that. Otherwise, this story isn't going to stick in my mind long, and not just because ill probably drop off it. Taking creative license is fine but if you don't put enough thought into how two very different fictional properties would work together then you are quickly going to end up with very obvious plot holes. I should also point out I'm not berating or criticizing the author, its very early in the story and we really have no idea how things are going to work out. Im just pointing out that hand waving away the important background details is the wrong way to go.

On one hand - you're right. On the other hand - demons are still biological creatures. Scanning one and then replicating it's biology is not outside of possibility. All other abilities are easy replicable using Shards own powers - projections for SB, changer powers for DT, Brute for basic abilities. It's not something unusual. And if Tay's shard isn't limited - they could actually replicate everything that exists in DMC-verse outside of Devil Arms - and those are supplied by Rodin apparently.

Reasonable Response.
Eh, Maybe the Sparda Twins were the Sparda Triplets in-universe, or the Idiots Twins had a little sister that managed to get away because of Eva's Umbra Bullshit (Which is how she even got Shish-kabobed by Mooks of all things in my Headcanon) it would explain the Authority issues that both Female Hebert's had, plus why Annette is great at College level literature. And Before you start going on about Anne's death, there's a trope perfect for said argument. "Reports of My Death was Greatly Exaggerated." Plus, wouldn't be Suprised if Some Ritual Accidentally brought her over to Earth Sparda.

On a side note, regarding how Taylor even became a half-demon when the Entities shouldn't be capable of it (I decided fuck it and finished Worm, just started Ward about a week ago), I can't say anything without giving away some spoilers.

...buuut you guys will get your answers when Leviathan comes knocking on Brockton Bay's door. Assuming anything's left of the Bay by the time he gets there
:p

Edit: got rid of Quote because of a misclick beforehand, sorry.
Had a feeling, considering you specifically stated it earlier (And I'm sorry I ignored you when I mentioned Annette being related to the twins), I kinda got carried away earlier. Love your stories, been a fan since your DAoP days. Can't wait to see what S Rank Shenanigans your gonna put our Escalating Demon Queen through.

I will say this as many times as needed. Taylor IS NOT RELATED TO DANTE, VERGIL, NERO, SPARDA OR EVA. She is not part of the Sparda Bloodline. She is still Danny and Annette's daughter, and neither parent has any sort of relationship to any supernatural forces, demonic or otherwise.
Then why does she have white hair? And Virgils summoned swords? Is that gonna be revealed in future chapters?

Perspectives change a bit after reading without fanon lenses, eh ? Armsmaster isn't actually a robot, Amy is an insufferable b*tch while Lisa is actually a somewhat decent person and Rachel has quite a bit of depth to her. Have fun with Ward !

I'm a little miffed that she's cribbing off of Virgil instead of 'making' her own weapons. Part of the fun of DMC is how everyone has their own brand of style, even Donte of DmC fame sorta grew into his own brand of snarky little shit.

Plus, I love it when people get creative with the Devil Forging. Weponized Magic Drumkits that explode into thunder and lighting (comes with free pair of Mjolnir 'drumsticks')? Chainsaw Yo-Yo that spits fire? Stained Glass Axes that convert into a pair of buttefly wings to do stylish mid air drill attacks? You can go absloutely bananas and it would still fit in the DMC weapon-list.

Still, is Taylor going to get Motivated? Or will her foes all be Schum?
