At this point Im pretty sure Virgil or some other demon has given Taylor her powers. Its no coincidence she took his name for herself and as Rodin explains they both the Sparda twins are still around and kicking.

For some reason, I am imagining Contessa with a positive pregnancy test. And not knowing what to do, regardless of powers because 1) Babby and 2) how the FUCK did Rodin convince her?!

RODIN: Nah, nevermind. Anyways, I could tell the kid was confused, so I let her off the hook. Thought maybe she'd live a normal life or avoid danger. But, wouldn't you know it, I find her half-dead outside my shop after she got into a fight with a two-headed dog fresh from the pits of the Underworld. She may not be a normal halfer, but she's just like every other parahuman—always looking for a fight. (scoff) Got into her pretty little head that she thought she could fight, that she could be a hero or something. I'm a bit of a sucker for the underdogs, so I let her hang around her, let her use the Idol when she wants to test herself. Even made her first Devil's Arm from that pooch she bagged.

Dante and Vergil wouldn't get along with her at all I believe. Vergil only tolerates clownfoolery from Dante and Dante would be turned off by how little fucks Bayo give to the humans

I am half expecting her fist weapon to be something more like GOW's Nemean Cestus then just a gauntlet since that would be too Beowulf/Balrog esque and it fits the heavy hitting charge style you alluded too (SF Balrog)

Tho an Odachi or an Axe would be neat to see

She kind of is, though. I mean, like you said, it's one thing for him to know Cauldron, but Scion is another thing entirely.

Either way, she's going to bite off more than she can chew. One does not fuck with Rodin and expect to walk away unscathed.

Vergil would treat her about as well as he would with Dante since they're similar in some aspects. Also, Bayonetta doesn't give little to no fucks about humans. The only human (as far as I know anyway) that Bayonetta had little to no problems dealing with was Baldur, and it was for a good cause given what he was trying to accomplish.

Honestly, the way I see it, if there would be any disagreement between those two, it'll be who's the dominant one in the bedroom.

An existing named demon, or at least a member of the same clan. This demon will become Taylor's gun.
 
Add Nioh and Ninja Gaiden and we would have most of the cool settings with demons in the games in this fic XD

I find amusing how 0 fucks Rodin have for talking about anything as he have a dozen beings at most that could be a actual threat to him.

Nah, no thanks. Plus, I have four Worm crossover fanfics already (DT, Adapt, A Worm in the Gulch and the upcoming MHA crossover). And this is strictly with Devil May Cry with only Rodin from Bayonetta being involved in the story. Granted, I'm gonna have Bayonetta make a cameo, but that's about it.

...though I will admit, there is a fifth Worm fanfic I've been debating about writing. I'm still talking it out with someone else since it's not exactly what you call normal even by Alt!Power standards. Whether this fic becomes reality I have no idea.

Funny that you posted this story in the same time I wrote a idea in the DMC thread . Almost thought you writed about. It was that Taylor and Sophia would both be Dante's kid and have a rivalry that would be similar to the Sparda's sons.

I really want to say something, but I'm afraid it'll be too Void Cowboy and get me banned, so Imma keep my mouth shut. Just know this brings a smile to my face and makes me want to write a canon omake to Cauldron's reaction to seeing Contessa shitfaced and walking with a limp.

Prolly doesn't help that Rodin's implied to be better than Bayo in the bedroom (pay close attention to a certain move in his boss fight, you'll see what I mean).

It's another SMT crossover similar to Adapt, but instead of Shin Megami Tensei as a whole, it's with Devil Survivor 2. Specifically, where Canopus manages to save itself by fleeing into an alternate reality and subsumes Queen Administrator, making Scion his new minion, turning Taylor into an Administrator and taking over the Shard Network.

...yeah, it's as crazy as it sounds, and it's mostly a plot bunny that I have no idea where to take at the moment. Hence why I don't think I will be writing it anytime soon.

...um, okay, jesus christ, that just sounds like you're making Tay Tay ridiculously op. Not that I'm complaining, mind you, it definitely sounds interesting, especially with the whole Canopus bit. Not sure how you'd handle that portion, though.

To give some clarification for anybody who has no idea what Devil Survivor 2 is, let me give you the short version.

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 is a tactical JRPG with a simple premise: the protagonist and his friends all signed up for the Nicaea app, which give you a "death clip" of someone you know who is going to die very soon. It also comes free with the demon summoning app that allows the user to summon demons from their cell phone. Around this time, Japan is also invaded by not just demons, but also anomalous beings called the Septetriones, which are hell bent on destroying the world. To destroy the Septetriones, the protagonist joins up with JPs, an organization that's dabbled in sorcery and demons in the defense of Japan for countless years.

Canopus is a character and antagonist in the remake, Record Breaker. Without spoiling too much, Canopus is the closest you could get to a godlike entity in the setting (barring other demons), but it's not exactly hostile. It behaves more like a "super-advanced AI" maintaining a "system" that thinks humanity is an error that has to be deleted so the "system" can function properly.
 
Rodin came off sort of like he was calling Taylor a dumb kid but he said it in such a way I don't think age matters much to him. Also guessing Contessa's powers don't include the older powers of the world in her paths, at least not fully.
Hmm, now that Cauldron is finding out about the older powers do you think they will start using it in an attempt to tip the scales against scion? I can easily see them going overboard with that and causing much more attention to be brought to Earth-Bet, demons might be interested in these new powers.
 
I am debating between if Contessa would be worst off meeting Angels or Demons first. She is bound to run into them somehow if she is investigating Bodin. Dude himself is a bonified Badass from the High Above if i didn't get it wrong.

So... since we're basically dragging in the DMC and Bayo-verse, do we get to see any reactions of THAT Side reacting to Scion's appearance? Or is this question already answered somewhere in the past?
