Devil Trigger (Devil May Cry/Worm AU)

Hey everyone.

Currently having myself some down time, dreading my upcoming assignments in college, so I haven't had much time to work on this or any of my other fanfics. That, and I've been focusing on getting RWBY: Re;bellion out, which probably won't be for a long while as I'm following Stranger's example and going to try and do an update schedule. And by that, I mean the chapters will be written in bulk prior to uploading, and I get them up in a timely manner.

It'll be interesting, that's for sure.

Another reason for the delay is because I was working with Stranger on a brand new fanfic, which is now up. For those curious, if anyone has the time, check out our most recent fanfic Rolling Stone, which is a JoJo/Worm crossover. As a heads up, the first seven chapters have all been written and were uploaded at the same time. The first seven chapters also compose the entire first arc of the story.

Back to DT for a second, I have no idea when the next chap will be up, so please be patient with me. I don't work well under pressure :)

Also, tf is up with the weather recently? I live in Hollister, we previously had like 70-80 degree weather, and now we're back to the fuckin' 90s. Make up your mind mother nature!

No worries my dude, College can get rough and nobody can dispute that.

Just take your time and do your best, this is your future we're talking about after all, it's pretty important.

And speaking of important, a new fic! I'll put it on the queue to read once I get over my miraculous hyperfixation.

They I was thinking about devil arms, I know you probably have your gauntlets picked out but hear me out:

Blitz skin boots and gloves, all speed low strength. Could even use it to pull off a take on the judgment cut end by causing an explosion along the cuts via super heated and cooled air.

Radio Silence, Update, and Personal Stuff
So, for anyone following me on fanfiction.net, I recently put up a notice in regards to my Fate/Grand Order x RWBY crossover Chaldea in Remnant. If you wanna know more about that, you can look it up on the link to my FF.net profile on my signature, and for guest users, just type it into the search engine.

I'm taking a break from college to work on my novel, which I've finally gotten some decent progress done. I have no idea how long it will be, but so far I have three and a half chapters written up. As you might expect, I'm very excited to publish it for all you guys to see, though I honestly have no idea when I'll be able to get it out to you since A) I have to finish the damn thing and B) I need to get myself an illustrator. I have one in mind on that front, but recently there's been a...real shitfest of a complication.

Namely, the death of a close family member. I say family member, but really, the man was my mom's boyfriend, but he may as well be my step-father in all but name. I've had some...hostile thoughts about the man for the last couple of years, both for his disgusting drinking problem and how he got into an argument with my mom over the phone almost every single goddamn day. Despite my complicated feelings, I still loved the man. So finding out he died was...

Well, it was a fucked up way to end 2021, especially since we found out before Christmas. Like, two days before.

Having explained that, I'll be away from writing on fanfiction for, well, I honestly have no idea. But when I do come back, the first thing I'm going to do is wrap up Muscle for this story, and after that, move on to A Worm in the Gulch. I honestly feel the need to write something humorous at some point.

On a side note, I have been debating on writing a new fanfic, but it will be a long while before that ever sees the light of day for two reasons. One, I actually need to finish one of the ones I have on my plate, and out of all of them Devil Trigger is the closest to being even remotely near the finish line. I should probably mention this, but this story ends on DT's version of the Leviathan Arc, which is also when I irrevocably give canon the middle finger. You'll understand when we actually get to that point. As for the second reason, it requires me touching up on a certain isekai series. Specifically the one involving otakus and the JSDF.

Anyway, that's it. Sorry if you guys were hoping for an update, I hope you all will continue to be patient with me, and...

Okay, I do have one more thing to ask. Regarding my more recent worm crossover, which was pretty much a spur of the moment and am actually writing by the seat of my pants... I have to ask... WHY IS BROCKTON KNIGHT GETTING POPULAR ALL OF A SUDDEN?! I mean, I don't see any of the reactions or follows hitting 100 yet, but Jesus!

about you get a new fic how about making a worm x kamen rider?

worm k.R W
K.R kabuto worm
worm K.R drive
worm K.R 0-1
K.R revice worm
K.R gain worm

they're all tech themed kamen rider titles that would go down very well on the worm verse as a master tinker power if you go for a revice because of the demon thing going on

Or would that just quickly turn into a ROLFStomp?
Yes, it would. Although...thinking about it, a lot of his power comes from being named by Veldora and having a dragon in his stomach, mixed with his ability to copy the abilities of those he eats. Without that, I dont think he'd have been that powerful.

Of course, if Taylor got his powers at any point post Orc Disaster, I dont think much could actually stop her.

Okay, here me out.

Worm/Sailor Moon crossover.

We've only had one that I know of, and it was just Taylor as Saturn. Any chance we could get a full-fledged team of Sailor Guardians on Earth Bet?

I'm...not sure that thats such a good idea. I mean, Sailor Moon is a universal level powerhouse and has access to literally limitless energy. I suspect the Entities would be all over that shit.

Next idea, and one I think has never been done.

Worm and Kamen Rider Kuuga.

Kuuga is all about evolving...or escalating as the case may be, to fight the current enemy. Sounds like the perfect match for the Queen of Escalation.

If we're suggesting crosses then what about Worm/Ni No Kuni? Fixing Bet by going into a fantasy negaverse would be cool.

Hmm, let's see...
Cool AU-Check
Divergence from Canon-Check
Re-connection between Danny and Taylor-Check
Good fight scenes-Check
Interesting Mystery/Hook-Check
...Well Cuss I don't really have a choice do I?
*Adds to Watch List*
The only thing that would've made this an instant favorite, is if she beat up and arrested The Undersiders at the beginning.

I am a legit author!
Hey everyone. SkyRig...or rather T.J. Howard here, as you'll soon find out. This is...holy freaking shit, this is amazing.

So, as some of you may know, I went totally radio-silent except to give you updates, like announcing a fanfic was going on hiatus or was being removed or it was still in the works, but I also reminded you guys that I was also writing my very own book.

Well, I am proud to say that, yes, I am now a legit author.

"Chase Ryder and the City of Lost Memories - Part 1: War" is my first entry in the Chase Ryder book series, and my very first book. I am currently self-published on Amazon, which I found to be the easiest way to go (and also the most stressful. Formatting cover art on that place is a goddamn nightmare and I was having so many troubles...just, for the love of god). While I cannot say the book will be to everyone's taste as it is entirely original content, I am hoping I at least score a hundred readers and buyers. Currently, only the kindle version of the book is available (it is currently up for pre-order and will be released on May 20), but a paperback and hardcover versions are also available. When those versions will be released, I do not know. The kindle version is up for pre-order and costs 8.99. The paperback and hardcover versions will rock you 12.99 and 26.99 respectively. In regards to the ridiculous hardcover price...yeeeaaah, minimum was apparently 26.08, when I wanted to go for a more feasible but still slightly expensive 15.99.

Amazon, you suck.

I'd be happy if you bought the hardcover version, but if you feel the price is too much, please stick to paperback. Or hell, just buy the kindle version.

I realize this sounds like shameless advertisement, but I want to make something clear here. I'm not looking to make this into a best-seller or anything. Or hell, anything that would warrant it getting into, say, the New York Times. All I want is to make books and provide a steady source of income for myself and my family, and this, I feel, is the best way for me to do so. Especially since our financial situation as of recently is looking heavily uncertain for reasons I will not disclose. Private matters, you understand.

That's it for now. To assauge some fears some of you might have, no, just because I'm a legit author does not mean I will be abandoning writing fanfiction. I will still do my best to get content out to you guys, maybe post a new story when I've made decent progress and finished a story or two, but I will likely still devote my time to writing other books. I'm already working on Part 2 of Chase Ryder, as well as a trilogy series that, in my opinion, you guys may enjoy more.

Who doesn't love medieval fantasy?

Before I cap this off, I want to give two huge, massive thank yous and shout-outs to TheStrangerThatCameFromNowhere, who commissioned DeviantArtist Alex-kellar to create the cover art illustration you'll see soon enough, and to Alex-kellar himself who created the wonderful piece you'll all will be seeing eventually enough. Speaking of, Alex, if you see this and the cover art, I apologize in advance. I wanted to use the other version of the cover art you sent me, but Amazon kept fucking it up so I had to stick with the version you made for kindle. Which sucks because I really liked the one you came up with.

Of course, the ones who deserve the biggest thanks is YOU GUYS. Yes, you, the guy or girl sitting behind your computer screen or phone who gave me support and feedback and continued to give me the push I needed to pursue this career. For someone like me, who started off writing stories based off manga, anime, TV shows, and video games, people like you guys are the ones who made this possible for me.

Thank you all so much.

Cheers.

Dude, hell yeah! I'm currently without job or money but I am definitely gonna buy it when I can.
