Fury

Furies are lesser demons that appears in Devil May Cry 5. In lower difficulties, it first appears in Mission 12: Yamato. The Fury's species have mutated over time to achieve greater speed to hunt down prey, many generations have passed in order to reach the level of the Fury.[1] It's also able...

They're to maim and be as vicious and painful as possible. Lasting wounds. What the hell kind of things do these things hunt to grow blades like that out of their arms...?

This is a piece of news I think I was better off not knowing about. I'm sure most of you are probably already aware (line here, here and here), but sometime last week, the PRT reported the death of a former Ward and independent hero Mouse Protector alongside two other capes, both villains.

My sources say neither law enforcement, the PRT or anyone has any idea who is responsible, except that the wounds on the victims had some kind of red residue.

At first, we thought that was it. That this was just a single incident.

We were wrong.

How many bodies is that? Moreover, who in the world does something like this? I mean, I could get it if it was just villains, but those are heroes in those piles.

Breaking news y'all. The Bloody Cape has come to Brockton Bay.

And it opened up its latest trend of attacks by severely injuring Manpower and Flashbang of the New Wave. Last I heard, both are being treated at the Brockton Bay General Hospital.

Part of me wants to act surprised, but I'm really not. I mean, we all knew this was coming. Brandish and the Pelhams have been arguing for years ever since Flashbang's death and Manpower getting crippled. I'm still surprised that Brandish was the one who wanted to retire from cape life, though. I would have thought that she would want to continue being a hero. She always struck me as the headstrong type.

So I dont know if this has been brought up or not, but if Rodan is knocking around and Inferno is a thing, does that mean we'll be getting a certain Madam Butterfly and friends sashaying into the story at some point? Cus if so, I feel the need to point out that Jean is a high school teacher in her day job...

Some demons from Inferno will make a debut, and a few will even be made into Devil's Arm for Taylor's use.

Jean will not be making an appearance, but Bayonetta herself will have a small cameo appearance.

Which, by the way, I'm looking forward to, namely because I REALLY want to write how Vicky and Taylor, two straight women, finds themselves distracted by the sexy.

To be fair, it is Bayonetta.

You know... from a certain point of view neither statement is wrong. The Bloody Cape is from another world, and someone with that name is a demon slaying badass on another Earth.

I think Bayonetta could distract a clay pot with the sexy.

Bayonetta is everyone's type. But yeah I was hoping for a cameo of the demon killer herself making noticing the new blood in town.

Inferno demons? Underworld demons? Clarification please?
Devil May Cry and Bayonetta's demons hail from different "netherworlds" so to speak. The demons of Devil May Cry come from the Underworld, with some presiding in different "Hells" (example being Belial, the Ruler of the Fire Hell as mentioned in a previous post), while the demons of Inferno are native to Bayonetta's world.

Which ones are nastier?

Depends on what you mean. Bayo Demons of Inferno are all walking torture devices. Demons from DMC's Underworld/Hell depend entirely on Species/Tribe. Your bog standard marionette, scarecrow, or Hell Caina are grunts. But then you get shit like Judeccas and Blitzes and Furies. They'll all kill you. Theyll all do it violently. They will all make you suffer.

The only way to fight them is to Style Stunt all over them. You cannot fight them like a regular enemy. The more you don't considere them a threat, the more you stunt on them, the more fun you have killing them, (also the more guns and swords you have) the more they get easier. Your standard Ingantrymen fighting like trained soldiers with military grade weaopons will die. But a school girl with guns and a murderboner for her father? She can whup their ass at the age of 16. You HVAE to fight them like you're the star of your own Bollywood/Anime. Also magic helps but its not always available.

I hate this description, but I'll be damned if it doesn't fit.
Literally Lady is like 16 in DMC3 and has guns. Thats it. I mean she also has grenades and a rocket launcher that I am fairly certain is magical. But she does most of her demon slayin with a friggin frankengun based on John Moses Browning's handgun platforms and a friggin Skorpion.

She's also firing 9mm standard presssure ammo. Crew Cut and his boys at the beginning of DMC5 are using a rifle platform based on the Armalite 15 style, so in all honesty more likely a cut down M4 or a carbine.

Unless these guys aren't US Army but PMCs hired to help using a friggin civilian model firearm. Yeah contrary to popular belief AR15s are not used by ANY military. They are a civilian model firearm based on a cut down Colt Rifle that have to have custom parts to fire 5.556 NATO and at that point you're building a new gun off the same platform (yeah guns are kinda weird)

I mean yeah, Crew Cut kills a couple Empusa but Empusa are more predictable then Marionettes, Scarecrows, the goons from DMC2, since all they do is try to circle around and charge. The other guys use weapons and jump around.

Sorry, there was a phase in my life where I wanted to be a gunsmith but I live in an anti gun state and I have no engineering or machinery experience.. yet.

Just goes to show how tough these sumb#*ches are.

If I were a demon slayer, I'd carry a anti-tank rifle everywhere.

Sure, it may seem like overkill but if you had to deal with creatures that can kill an entire city population OVERNIGHT, then yeah I'd gladly bring all the firepower I have.

Best be prepared to fight to the death unless you want be maimed/eaten alive.

Honestly a shotgun loaded with either cutshells or deer slugs would do you better, cause your standard anti tank rifle is not a light weapon by anymenas and fully loaded and assembled gives soldiers at the top of their game trouble lugging it around. So yeah, Ash Williams that shit. Get a side by side double barrel in one hand and a hatchet/sword in the other. Use grenades/pipe bombs/molotovs (if they aint fire resistant) and try to bottleneck them.

...well, damn. Ravager must be pissed then that she wasn't the one who got to kill MP first.

Last I checked, the S9 is somewhere over in Europe.
Have things changed a lot in this reality of the Wormverse? Because last time I checked, the Slaughterhouse Nine never left North America or Canada at a stretch. The thought of them moving around even more freely than what Cauldron allowed in canon is...well, terror-inducing, really.

That was my decision, actually.

It was either her or Chevalier, and between the both of them, I like Chevalier more. No offense to Mouse Protector.

Not that I think that matters much, since I'm sure she's pissed at me for killing her off. O.O

There are a few factors. The biggest being Jack Slash's newest friend. They are also a canon character, but I won't say who just yet. They're going to play a major role in my version of the Slaugherhouse Nine Arc, as I like to call it, "Taylor proves she is MOTIVATED" arc.

Wait you killed MP!? You friggin' bastard!

Anyways I don't remember correctly but ain't Europe have a highly different approach in parahumans? I mean the PRT has a much weaker hold there and by extension the Capenatii has a weaker hold, so chances are their roster get's killed repeatedly and I secretly wish that Jack got some delibirating injuries to carry around.

Also a guess but S9 don't have Bonesaw?

... Which brings me to the sudden idea @SkyRig that if some idiot/s open up a big enough portal to the Underworld a certain two brothers might walk out of it...

Also tbh I am distracted too of Bayonetta... especially that damn sexy voice of hers.
