Crimson Beauty of The Crescent Moon (Fate/Grand Order)

They mention in story that a complete recovery is not going to happen for the data, and I think at this point no ones going to question more supplies than what is supposedly stated.

I think the Holy Grail thing can safely be pushed back a couple of weeks on the priority list, after we're not in danger of starving and the power running out.
I do not quite agree.

The Holy Grail is our most powerful resource at the moment, and we are not so flush for resources that we can just entirely ignore it for weeks.

Maybe not weeks. But at least for this week, it costs an action of the person who can help heal the not insignificant amount of injured people, and the person who can at least fill the gap of said injured people. I just don't think we can spare either of them right now.

Edit: it doesn't cost DaVinci- mixed that detail up. But I still think that we shouldn't do it this week so we can maximize potential manpower for next week. At least with the additional manpower, it should be easier to spare them for other tasks, especially if somehow we can summon another servant

Edit 2: Will the holy grail be useful once we examine it? Yes, most likely, but my thought process is it might not be for the things we need right now in order to survive long enough to take advantage of it. If it lowered summoning costs for instance, it wouldn't matter if we don't have enough power to even reach that point.

In my opinion, we don't have enough of a safety net in order to examine it right now, and it would be better for Medea to devote her time to hearing our injured. Hopefully we get enough of the medical department so they can safely take over and Medea can investigate the holy grail

[X] Chaldea Plan: Bandaids
-[X] [Staffing] Food. Just...food.
-[X] [Security] Repair the Reactors Phase One
-[X] [Olga] Seal the Storage Wing
-[X] [Analytics] Backfill Documentation
-[X] [Medea] Grecian Healing
-[X] [Da Vinci] Automata Creation
-[X] [Research] Spare Parts Creation
-[X] [Medical] Procuring Meds

I think I like this combination a little better.

The first problem is that Chaldea is out of food. We don't do anything for food this week, we starve next week. Food is a no-brainer.

The second problem is that Chaldea has two weeks of Reactor Fuel left. If we run out of fuel, we freeze to death. Repair the Wind Turbines gives us 100% operability on the Wind Turbines, but it only extends our actual operating time another week. Moreover, we badly need that Da Vinci Action boosting our manpower down later, so we're holding off on that. Repair the Reactors Phase One gives us 2 weeks of fuel for one week of time.

The third problem is that we don't know what we have left available to us. Thus, we should Backfill Documentation to inventory our data and the data we collected beforehand, as well as Seal the Storage Wing to conduct an inventory and protect what we have remaining from the environment.

The fourth problem is that our staff is badly overworked. Thus, Grecian Healing and Automata Creation. While we could go for Prosthetics and Grail Investigation, we need to bring as many people back up to working again because otherwise we're not going to be able to do anything other than delay the time of our death.

The fifth problem is an extension of the previous one: we're bleeding in both long and short term here. Food is only a temporary fix; we're not assured of being able to constantly do food raids with the Staffing Department action, so we need to get our hydroponics rebuilt ASAP. What's worse is that we'll only be able to clear the rubble by the time our food from this raid runs out, when we need to be growing that food by the end of our food reserves. We need to be starting on this as early as possible so that we don't all starve to death come week 5 and 6. Unfortunately, I misread our action count, so that's going to have to wait for later. Fingers heavily fucking crossed, because if we're wrong, we starve week 4.

Spare Parts Creation is an afterthought, mostly because Da Vinci is Da Vinci and didn't really consider what the other people in her department could do, so, they're going to be building spare parts. Meds, ditto, because Romani's solution toolbox seems to be "throw Servants at the problem" >.<

I very much dislike the idea of spending fuel for Automata Creation at this juncture. If we go with this plan, we just might be forced to jockey other actions for fuel next week. Automata will also be less useful in the short run - because a lot of our critical infrastructure actions are actually 1 week, which is the smallest time unit we're working with here. They'll cut the time taken for certain actions, not all. The main thing we need to shorten that I see right now is Hydroponics. There's no guarantee Automata will shorten the time taken for it.

I say prioritize maximizing fuel here, since we'll get 3 weeks' worth from Food. Just... food. That way, we won't have to jockey for power supplies next week and may only need to work on Wind Turbines, which would let us work on Hydroponics as well next week, which will finish just as our food supply does.

I would put Da Vinci on Prosthetic Procurement instead of Automata. By picking all three medical actions, Chaldea's manpower should be back to the best level possible, which should improve morale (the muggles realizing the mages do, in fact, care) and also open up more things for us to do next week that are actually progressive.

Re; Holy Grail, I remember Vocal mentioning either here in this thread or on Discord that using the Grail here isn't going to be as nice and clear cut as in canon. It's not going to be some miracle solution for power generation or prana supply.

Speaking as a non-Discordteer, the one mention I could find was this, where canon is confined to what's essentially gameplay mechanics.

It sounds like he's ready to break Lev if he had the chance.
I think I can freely say that the one person in Chaldea who holds the most rip and tear instinct to Lev would be Yisshakar, yes.

Such a shame he's dead, no?
For the reactor, I'm hoping we can convert to running Chaldea on the Grail itself. Dunno if that's a thing, my FGO exposure is limited. For food... yeah that's a problem. Don't build giant bases in the Arctic, people.
You'll have to see on the first part. The second is intentional. Again, the main defense Chaldea has is with regards to secrecy and remoteness of its locale that makes blatant attacks to be, well, blatant.

It's just that no one expected that the closest confidant of the Animusphere would be the main saboteur and in such sudden and wide-reaching act too.

That'd be it. I never confirmed — and not going to — what use the Grail might have, aside from the fact that it's going to be more than just a gameplay mechanic.

Also side note, I am glad that with the discussion, I've at least relayed that there's opportunity costs in play. I'll also add that there would be synergies with options chosen and unchosen, for good or for ill.

Also also, I wouldn't mind more votes ; v;

Eh, I'm not quite so sure about that. One of the big limitations on our ability to do stuff is the critical lack of manpower we have. Making Automata would help alleviate our problem of "not having enough bodies to do lifting" that drastically impedes our Hydroponics Action - which isn't even "this long until we get food", it's "this long until we've cleared the hydroponics wing of rubble". If we don't reduce the time on Hydroponics Action soon, we run out of time and starve.

However...you actually have a good point with regards to prosthetic procurement. Automata production gives us automata, but automata do not have the flexibility that restoring Chaldea's multidisciplinary and crosstrained staff coming back to work would give us. You've convinced me.

@Critian Caceorte, be advised that I've just edited my Da Vinci Action to be Prosthetic Procurement over Making Automata.

We're busy doing maaaaaaaattthhhhhh. It hasn't even been an hour :V I need time to set up this Gantt Chart, okay.

I lay blame — or credit, you decide — in @huhYeahGoodPoint and Ace-COM Quest and most certainly not because I am enamoured with base building and CK2 Quests for giving me the inspiration for how to conduct this section. I've the framework clear since January last year but for the fleshing out, I did turn to that.

Seems like this is being consolidated on as a name, so in the interest of not splitting the vote between different names:

[X] Chaldea Plan: Bandaids

[X] Plan: Extra Supplies? What Extra Supplies?
-[X] Food. Just… food
-[X] Procuring Meds
-[X] Grecian Healing (Medea)
-[X] Prosthetic Procurement(Da Vinci)
-[X] Spare Parts Creation.
-[X] Seal the Storage Wing (Olga)
-[X] Repair the Reactors Phase One.
-[X] AAR: Fuyuki

This plan is an alternative to Chaldea Plan: Bandaids, for the people who were worried about potentially shooting ourselves in the foot and outing Hinako's secret Material Gathering runs. It has everything in Chaldea Plan: Bandaids here, except Backfill Documentation is replaced with AAR: Fuyuki.

It will probably be the only other Analysis action available until after we do the recover Analysis Data action anyway, and it's not like the data can get any worst or more lost than it already is. Plus, it's best to do an after action report after the action and not like, a week later. Plus, as this takes two weeks, and thus probably two turns, that will safely allow us to do another turn of Material Gathering runs with Billy without having to worry about getting detected. We'll be able to dismiss any new stuff as having been missed in the hassle of quickly sealing up the Storage Wing while everyone was still stressed from the explosion.

Now, Analysis for picking everything else, just because I like analyzing things.

Food. Just… food. Send an incursion into the many many disparate micro-Singularities that dot the world. The objective is simple. Procure as many foodstuffs that you can get. Accompanying the proposal is a simple quota of what sorts of food items that should be procured. It does not escape your notice that a lot of the food categorization seems to be tailored for a shepherd and a rancher to acquire easily. Time: One Week. Result: Gain 3 Weeks worth of food.
We'll have to do this again next turn with either a servant (Either David or Billy) or Olga after we presumably start
Procuring Meds. The medical supplies are strained and with few methods of procuring modern medicine, low-cost alternatives are needed. Within the proposal lies numerous medicinal plants that can be procured throughout the globe and times. Procuring these might not be a straightforward affair though… Time: One Week. Result: Alleviate Chaldea's strained medical supply. Unlocks further medical procurement actions.

Grecian Healing. Romani is adamant on pushing this proposal through. There's a number of Chaldean personnel who he thinks can be healed by the end of the week and allow for further productivity and more work to be done. To allow for this, Medea would be needed, working to stabilize critical personnel and free up space. Cost: Medea Action. Time: One Week. Result: Alleviate Chaldea's strained medical capacity. Unlocks 'Directorial Coordination' action.

Prosthetic Procurement. Da Vinci have, at the end of the recess, added an extra proposal. A good number of the confined Chaldean personnel are invalid for one reason or the other. She volunteers to fit most of Chaldea's incapacitated staff members with mechanical prosthetics. She reassured that there is negligible motor function loss for most of the personnels. Cost: Da Vinci Action. Time: One Week. Result: Alleviate Chaldea's strained medical capacity. Increases Chaldean productivity. Unlocks further mechanical augmentation options.

I bet at the very least Grecian Healing and Prosthetic Procurement will have synergy with eachother due to being all about restoring injured workers to able workers. Procuring meds may even have synergy with the other two, resulting in a three way synergy. Plus, I think that by doing this we can get away with not having a Memorial right now, as actions speak louder than words. We're actively trying to save everyone we can this way. Plus, if we're going to have a Memorial, we should have as many people up to attend it as possible. Give a moral boost to more people. Also, a Memorial is ultimately an luxury right now, as the crisis is still happening. You don't start making a memorial for the victims of a fire when the fire is still burning. And our fire is still very much burning.

Spare Parts Creation. Out of the many tasks that presses Chaldea, maintenance is an insidious one. As it stands, with the facilities being put to a straining point, there are signs of early wear and tear and, Da Vinci explained, replacement would be needed. Catalogue which facilities need repair and create a rudimentary supply line. Time: One Week. Result: Have a cushion of parts needed to repair Chaldea's facilities. Gain early warning to system failure.

This synergize with the options to repair areas, and potentially with Prosthetic Procurement as if we get Da Vinci more parts then she can build better and more prosthetics.

Repair the Reactors Phase One. The destruction to Chaldea's power supply is… significant. Repairs would be something to be done in a matter of months and unlike foodstuffs, procurement of refined fuel is decidedly harder. The best way then, is to make more with less. The secondary reactors have their spare parts relatively untouched in the destruction. Increase the efficiency of those reactors and prolong the fuel supply. Time: One Week. Result: Increase Secondary Reactors Operational Level to 50%, 'Increase' 2 Weeks worth of fuel supply.

Spare Parts Creation will absolutely synergize with this though. Plus, with Da Vinci on the Prosthetics, it's the only available Action left for the department.

Seal the Storage Wing. The Storage Wing. It's a deceptive simple name. The Storage Wing stores many things. From the personal effects of the Master Candidates too large to bring to their room, the numerous supply caches amassed from world over, and many many more. You have no way of quantifying these, not yet. But what you can do is to ensure that no further degradation occurs. There's no telling which inventory items are liable to be destroyed from the extreme cold. Makeshift tarps, rubble clearing, the works. Time: One Week. Result: Self-explanatory. Gain Actions to inventorize items.

We need to save as much as we can and prevent further losses. Something monotonous like this could give Olga a chance to destress, so I say we put her on this. Plus, as a mage she may be able to do magical seals or something. On a less speculative note though, while some people are worried this could out Hinako's Material Gathering runs, It says there is no way of quantifying them yet, so as long as we don't take the Backfill Documentation action, no one should be able to notice more materials showing up for two weeks. Especially if once we get the option to take inventory, we hold off a week until we can actually start the Backfill Documentation.

AAR: Fuyuki. A side proposal put forth by Maxamed is a simple one. He believes that there's a particular need to compile a report of how the two Masters performed in Chaldea's first crucible. Attached preliminary data is… interesting, to say the least. And enlightening too. Time: Two Weeks. Result: Gain an AAR and lessons to be learned from Fuyuki. Unlocks enhancement options in other Departments in the coming turns.

...and do ARR: Fuyuki instead. I've already explained my reasoning for why people should pick this one above though, haha.
