Covered In Blood And Surrounded By Spirits (Hellsing CK2 Organization Quest)

[X] veekie

But try to send ghost ships if you can just don't put a lot of faith in them.

Also can we punch Anderson with sun god arm to show that this she is in fact a real God.
Also in like turn 2 or 3 you got a golem seal was that used in bone mecha or not.
Also try and get kami support if you can every bit counts(highly unlikely but real gods showing up to fight Christians might interest them.)

Battle of London 4
[X] Deployment priority

-[X] 0) Takauji(if Integra accepts)

-[X] 1) 9 Mystic Swordsmen

-[X] 2) 3 Sealing Squads

-[X] 3) 10 Rangers

-[X] 4) 50 Crow Flyers

-[X] 5) Bone Mecha

-[X] 6) Kagutsuchi

[X] Let her go through with it

-[X] Suggest Takauji to assist in her negotiations with the fae, given their similarities, and Takauji's past assistance with similar arrangements.

You nod in acceptance. "Trickster spirits? Well, I'm not one to talk, but those types tend to be rather… difficult. If you aren't already friends with them at least. It sounds like a good plan, especially to deal with an indirect power like Schroedinger, and i'll trust you to know best how to deal with them. If it would help, I do have a trickster spirit back in Japan who I consider my best friend. I could call and have her flown over here to assist in negotiations. Just to ward off any tricks and loopholes they may attempt to sneak into any deals." Integra seems to think it over, as the two of you walk together to the door outside.

"Yes, that sounds very helpful. I'll admit, I tend to be rather lost when negotiating with them. Luckily, i'm in no position of desperation when I usually talk to them, so I get by with committing to nothing. They try a variety of tricks, but I can navigate those easily enough. The problem is that they are generally inscrutable. So an unambiguously allied trickster spirit would be a godsend. What's her name?" You grin at the thought of the straight laced Integra meeting your more free-spirited spirit friend, before answering.

"Her name is Takauji Tomi, in the Japanese style. Just call her Takauji. She'll tell you to call her Tomi, but don't. That only encourages her. Anyway, I can call and have her here by tomorrow morning. Trust me, once you get past her immature exterior, then you can learn to tolerate her immature interior." At Integra's slightly worried look, you pat her on the shoulder. "Tomi is an acquired taste. Trust me, you'll get used to it." With that, you and Integra go off, making calls to organize your people.

[X] Suggest that she not set the trap off, just bombard the damned thing to bits.

"You could simply bombard the ship. If the anti-air weapons prevent you from shooting missiles at it, you could use a submarine and torpedo it. There are surely endless ways for your military to take care of one rogue ship with your entire arsenal." Integra seems to stop and consider that before grimacing slightly. Alucard glares at you from under his hat, no doubt wanting a chance to ram a jet into an aircraft carrier. Walter simply raises an eyebrow and looks at you stone-faced. Integra heaves a sigh and runs her hands through her hair. She seems like she was still trying to decide on how to respond when Walter spoke up.

"That is a very practical idea, Mrs. Renko. However, I would like to remind both you and Master Integra that there is no way to keep that subtle. A aircraft carrier exploding in the atlantic is going to cause a ruckus one way or another. Explaining why we torpedoed it could be difficult however. Furthermore, I don't trust the Navy at the moment. For all we know, any branch of our military could be infiltrated. Imagine if our actions lead to them activating infiltrators on a submarine. In close quarters with a lack of heavy weaponry, the crew would be slaughtered and we would have a rogue submarine as well, which could reveal the existence of vampires to unauthorized individuals. In order to avoid a nightmare scenario, we must keep this emergency within Hellsing, and the only operative capable of dealing with the problem is Alucard." With that, Walter lets out a small huff, and you stare at him a bit. You think that's the most passionate you've seen Walter act or speak. Integra takes his analysis in stride, but you can see she's thinking on his words as well.

"There has to be some way of detecting vampires. Just pass it over the entire submarine crew and your vehicle is safe. No reason not to use it." Walter stays in his normal position, but you can see him tense as he looks at you.

"Unless that Schrödinger character teleports in with a bomb again. Then we have nothing besides one less submarine to defend the homeland with. They clearly want us to trip the trap, and the best way to preserve our strength and defenses is to not waste them." You throw up your hands.

"But who says he can't just teleport into the jet engine while Alucard is flying above the ocean? Then one of our greatest combat assets is lost for no gain!" Alucard chuckles from behind Integra.

"Fear not, Kochika. One thing you forget is that these Nazis are insane. Unadulterated, pure, unstable madness. They won't do something as anticlimactic as sabotaging my plane. If they were going to do that, i'm sure they could have just had their cat creature kill me continuously with his impossible existence. And there's nothing we could do to stop that. They don't want underhanded sabotage to end the battle, though I am assured they will resort to that. No, these disturbed warmongers want a fight. And I, for one, am happy to oblige." Alucard grins at you, and you can feel your annoyance rise. It's like mundane tactics were beyond them, by the kami. Then again, Alucard and Walter knew their enemy's mindset the best. You couldn't quite argue with their points, but it still felt like running to a last resort option head first with a blindfold on. Honestly, between this and Tomi, you were starting to feel like a fucking spectator. You sigh and massage your temples to reduce the oncoming headache. You feel a hand squeeze your shoulder and see Integra standing next to you.

"Apologies, Kochika. Let me assure you that your ideas are excellent, but these are risks that must be taken. Besides, with the addition of your forces to the defense of England, we put ourselves at significantly less risk than we would have been. We'll send Alucard out to the boat, and when he's killed whatever abomination has taken over the ship, and hopefully gained insight into Millennium's larger plan, we shall send a helicopter to pick him up. And until then, the entire military force of the United Kingdom's is protecting our current position. This is the best possible position until the cat creature is disposed of." You huff a bit, but you nod. She has a point, this is one of the most defended areas you can think of. Certainly more secure than any location you could offer. In the end, you just relax and look at them again.

"Fine, ram however many planes into as many fucking ships as you want. I shall be waiting for an appropriate time to tell you that I told you so." Integra gives a small smirk at that and nods.

"Very well. We'll see how this turns out for us, and go from there." With your course of action decided, you and Integra head back to the War Room to coordinate your incoming troops and the preparations of those already available.

Over the next day, your forces from Japan fly in from England. A call from Ieyoshi updates you on Japan's situation. You sit in a chair in one of the many conference rooms of the Hellsing Manor as you receive a status update.

"Fantastic news, Renko-sama. We've received a litany of tips and anonymous information coming out of the woodwork. There have been several attacks, but thanks to the information, we have been in a good position to minimize casualties and stop several attacks altogether. Inter-agency cooperation has also been proceeding smoothly, and assaults are well underway. The situation is under control enough that we have become able to send all of the reinforcements you have asked for. They should be arriving along with the Russian asset today. Or at least, today for you." You heave a quiet sense of relief at this news. Punishing those who dared to strike your country was high on your list of priorities, but your primary purpose was the protection of Japan from supernatural threats. Knowing that there was no longer a pressing threat was a relief. Still, the danger wasn't over yet, and this raised other questions.

"Excellent. Do you have any clue on how this information came to us? Perhaps the kami, or just a very active citizenry?" You asked him. If the kami were communicating with you, it could be further grounds to build on diplomatic relations. If they didn't murder you for letting this happen to their shrines first.

"No, Renko-sama. The kami remain silent, and citizens have largely been staying home out of fright or are in the hospital. Based on what we've managed to understand, it looks to be the subordinates of Senmatsu Machi." You blink, and then try to confirm that you heard that correctly.

"Excuse me?"

"Based on what few clues we've managed to take from the tips, we believe it is most likely the work of Senmatsu Machi and her agents. Obviously, this doesn't take into consideration the possibility of an unknown party or faction." You grit your teeth, because the last thing you needed right now was another 'It is not as it seems' moment. It was just another weight, piling up behind your eyes to give you an aching headache that paired marvelously with the gnawing fear and worry in your gut.

"Give me the truncated version Ieyoshi. Then i'll expect a full report, no detail spared, once I return to take the reigns. Go." With a cough, Ieyoshi starts to rattle off and lay out the details of what has been happening on the homefront.

"Well, all the people who have been dropping off information and such match the common descriptors of Senmatsu's men. Basically, they look like punks. And every message has a drawing of a moon on it somewhere. Naturally, this wouldn't confirm it due to the subversive nature of Senmatsu's organization, but there are reports of silver flashes similar to those reported by our own agents when tracking Senmatsu herself. Where these flashes appear, vampires and terrorists show up dead." You sigh and rub at your temples.

"So Senmatsu doesn't want to destroy Japan, just us. How encouraging. Very well then. For the duration of the crisis, give her agents reign to come and go. Not to go anywhere near any important installations if any kind of course, but let her people drop their stuff and leave when you see them. Perhaps a less militant response in times of crisis could lead to a peaceful dissolution when we throw her in prison for her crimes." There was an irritating theory forming in the back of your mind, and you eyed your sealed arm balefully. If Tsukuyomi was just handing out blessings like this, Senmatsu was more dangerous than you had thought. Then again, her performance so far had already proven herself far above some insignificant terrorist with a bomb and a cause. But all this was a problem for another time.

"Understood, Renko-sama. I believe that this covers our situation here. The fighting is still ongoing, but we're making significant headway. After the initial volley of attacks, they have lost steam and blunted against our forces. Your family and many important personnel within the government have been confirmed as safe. And finally, Nagare is awake again." The words are barely out of his mouth before you cut him off, your heart leaping into her throat.

"Give her the phone. I want to talk to her." Ieyoshi tried to say something, but you bulldoze over his words with hardly a thought. "Don't argue with me, just give her the fucking phone." Quietly, Ieyoshi mutters his assent and hands the phone away. You wait anxiously, unsure of what you expect from this. You knew she was hurt, you knew she wasn't going to die, you essentially knew everything relevant that made her condition less of a priority due to its relative stability but you still just needed to talk to her, kami damn it. It would feel like you were abandoning her if you didn't. As you tried to analyze all the various types of shit going through your head, a voice sounded out from the phone.

"Kochika? Are you there?" Kami, your wife sounds terrible. Like she's rasping and wheezing at the same time, and you couldn't imagine what she must look like with so much of her power drained. Not in a bad way, just in a "my wife has been terribly injured and I have yet to eviscerate the perpetrators" sort of way. And while homicidal rage was a rare occurrence for you, this weird mix of rage and concern was very much unfamiliar. Maybe when you confronted your father, but more. Regardless of your feelings on the matter, you hurry to answer your wife.

"Yes, it's me Nagare. How are you-" you swallow your question because of course she feels like shit, and you don't want her to lie to you and tell you that she's fine. "Are you feeling better? I haven't heard many details, but I know that your shrine was damaged. I'll make them hurt, I promise. They won't get away with this. I'm sorry, Nagare." You aren't sure what exactly to say. You failed her, and now she was hurt, and all you could do was promise repayment. Now you just had to calm down. You were starting to spiral in your thought process, and you wouldn't get jack shit done like that. You took a couple deep breaths, before Nagare replied on her end of the call.

"Kochika. Honey, it's alright. I'm not… okay, but I will be. And I have every confidence that you'll put down the thing that did this to me, destroyed my shrine. Oh, Izanami, he destroyed my shrine." Your wife sounded close to tears from her end of the phone, and you wish once more that you could be with her and offer more than empty words. "But don't be f-f-fucking stupid about it." You blink, hard. Nagare cursed sometimes, but it wasn't anywhere near as frequent as you or Miyako. And she had assuredly never cursed at you. Before you can speak in response to that, nagare barrels onwards. "Whatever manner of creature that child was, my magic could not kill him. I decapitated him, crushed him, and a thousand other grievous deaths. Even my kami-form couldn't put him down, in the center of my power. I know you, and the way you latch onto a challenge or a threat, and I'm here to tell you that this one is dangerous. Kill him, destroy him, salt the fields and everything, but please, be careful. I love you more than I hate it."

"...I understand. I love you too. Next time I see you, we can just stay in bed and take a break from all this for a little bit. Maybe spend some time with Miyako and Akuma, playing board games or something. That's what normal families do, I think. Probably best to get Aimi into stuff like that early, so she doesn't come out as weird as the rest of us, huh? But these monsters will be dead and gone, all of us will be safe and happy, and we'll keep pushing on." You gulp down a breath as you calm yourself. The rage that was burning inside of you focuses, increasing in intensity but gaining direction. Fuck Millennium. You had something perfect, and they could pry it out of your cold, dead hands, and you would still attack them as a corpse. This was yours.

"That sounds really nice, Kochika. I'll have to take you up on that. But don't think I can't see what you're doing here. I want you to promise that you'll come back. That's all I ask from you." You nod rapidly, before you remember that you're on the phone and respond.

"Of course. You couldn't keep me from coming home with all the homicidal, teleporting cat-boys the world has to offer." You hear her laugh weakly from across the line, and you smile to yourself. "Did I help then? I feel like shit not being able to be there for you." Nagare makes a happy humming sound, as if she's in thought, before she answers you.

"Yes, you did. I'm feeling better already. And really, don't worry about me. I'm just stuck with bed rest, and in some pain. No lasting damage, as soon as my shrine is put back together, i'll be back to prime condition." You smile softly, altogether more relieved just being able to talk to her. Thank the kami for cell phones, because you might have gone out of your mind with worry at the thought of your wife in pain or mortally injured, and you thousands of miles away unable to help. Quietly, you whispered words of goodbye and support to each other before the phone was given back to Ieyoshi. You take a deep breath and sigh before you finish talking to your military commander.

"Thank you, Ieyoshi. It's good to hear from her, and even better to know that she's ok. Now I only need to get her back to good health and crush these Nazi bugs under my feet, and it'll be… better. Despite all the good grace we've been given so far, I still find this to be a horrible experience." Ieyoshi gives a hollow laugh and grunts his agreement. You suppose that now that the adrenaline was starting to wear off, he was returning to his much less verbose state. Well, the laugh alone was something you could never have coaxed out of him a decade ago. "How's your family, Ieyoshi? I trust that they're safe?"

"Indeed, Renko-sama. My son is playing around the base, with a staff member to escort him. It goes to show how quickly our situation has stabilized, even if there is still panic in the streets. But there is always work to do, I suppose. I still have a whole stack of reports and authorizations to file." You make an embarrassed noise as you imagine Ieyoshi sitting at a file covered desk, taking time to chat with you. Well, he was probably filling them out one handed while he did so, if you knew the pragmatist well enough.

"Of course. Don't let me keep you. Thank you very much for your work." With that, you and Ieyoshi hang up. leaving you in an empty conference room with your heels on the oak table. The cold silence is only broken by the calls of birds from outside, and you ruminate on how everything is going. The Japanese forces were currently working their way here or settling into the Manor. Tomi and Integra were heading to go do dealings with the fey, and overall, things were progressing. and of course, Alucard was soon to fly off in that precious fucking jet of theirs in order to make a Viking funeral, on purpose. Absolutely ridiculous. Then again, ridiculous seems par for the course for these people.

"Guten tag! Zhis room iz so peaceful, it iz simply wunderbar! Zat whore Integra knows quality vhen she sees it, no doubt!" You stiffen at the jovial tone of the cat boy, and you prep your arm to unleash a blast of magic as you scan the room for him. To your left, about five feet away, is that twiggy Nazi fuck. Any semblance of calm that Nagare's voice had given you was washed away with the tide of rage that crashed through you at the sight of his smug face. You raise your fist to smite him as hard as you can, but he just sticks up his hands in surrender.

"Iz zhat necessary? You know it von't kill me, and I have somezing to tell you. I promize it iz vorth your vhile." You keep your fist raised and glowing, waiting on him to speak. He was right, your fist probably couldn't kill him if Nagare's magic had no effect, but it couldn't hurt to try. Plus, it would really help your stress relief. Except him coming back would just be aggravating. If he didn't have anything significant to say, you were going to crush his head just to get rid of that fucking accent.

"Speak, mongrel. Give me a reason not to crush your head in my fist, because I know for certain that I would take great pleasure in it. That's one reason against you already, so you'd better start persuading me." Schrodinger lets out that shitty laugh of his, and waves his hand like he was joking with a friend. Then his cat ears perk up and he clears his throat.

"Vell, i'll get to ze point. You are an unprecedented factor, according to ze Major. Fifty years ve have been planning zhis, and you show up and throw in a whole new factor. Very inconvenient. But, all you really are iz a nuisance. We could roll over you in our sleep. So here'z ze offer. Call your fox friend, and tell her to flub the negotiationz with ze fey. She can probably do it without even letting the blame fall on you. In return, ve vill not destroy everyzhing you love. Because this can get vorse. I vill make sure of it." There's a silent staring contest as you weigh what he was talking about. Then before you can really think about it, your glowing hand had blown his head apart. There's a tapping at your shoulder, where you turn to find Schrodinger smiling cheekily once more. Looking back, you see that the gore has disappeared once more.

"I would say sorry, but I'm not much of a liar. I simply want to rend you limb from limb every time you open your disgusting Nazi mouth. you understand." Schrodinger laughs again, which grates on your nerves enough that you shove your hand through his throat just one more time. You carefully corral your rage, since you know that if you let it, this will turn into you angrily killing him again and again and again. So this time when you hear his irritating giggle, you just revel in how it felt to crush him beneath your burning hand.

"Haha! Very Entertaining, fraulein! But zhat isn't a no, or a yes. Remember, there are consequences to saying nein!" He says it all with the innocence of a child, but you know what exactly he's threatening. Your homeland, your people, your friends and coworkers, probably your family as well. But you had honor and the fate of Integra's homeland to worry about as well. And the fey were the only likely counter to his bullshit.

Which, you thought, was probably why he was here. The way he had stated his little speecha t the end, that he would make sure of it. He never said this was a message from the Major. You felt a little smile creep up on you, but you stamped it down. But still, Schrodinger, taking unauthorized action out of fear of your life so soon? It was almost humorous. Whatever his reasons, he was a serious and deadly threat. What were you going to do about this?

AN:

Finally got off my ass and updated. A small vote for now, since I realized that dragging this out would make me lose motivation again and go on another dry spell. So, here we are. Enjoy, for it is alive.

Also, I fucking hate writing Schrodinger's accent. i'll warn you ahead of time that i'm not doing that for the rest of these Nazi assholes, but i'll keep doing it for Schrodinger because i've established some fucking precedent.

[X] Deny him

Fuck him and the cat he rode in on. Deception isn't hard to pierce for them anyway.

That he's trying to interfere meams this actually IS a real threat to them.

So do their worst. Negotiating with terrorists this way only encourages them

[X] Deny him.

there is no way in hell they are stupid enough to think we would accept, so they probably have some plan to use a false acceptance (recordings, etc) to there advantage.

"thank you for confirming that we pose a threat to whatever pointless and mad plan you have cooked up. I look forward to feeding your screaming souls into whatever hell your god has cooked up for you."

[X] "Let's face it; if you've gone to this extent, if you've already expanded internationally, if you've already attacked the people I care about... why in god's name would I assume you have the slightest bit of honor? Why should I assume you or your side will cater to your word now after everything you've done? Stalin made a pact with your founder and got backstabbed, and now you want us to ignore basic fucking history?

"Yeah. No. Fuck that noise. Even ignoring all of that, as this is my choice and it is representative of my organization, how would I be speaking for them by doing this? Betray our comrades in arms, our countrymen, and everything we stand for in order to cease "inconveniencing" the fucktards that have been screwing with us, our friends, and our nation for decades?! NEVER.

"Take your offer and shove it up your major's ass, catboy. Consider your offer denied. Now go piss off and die a hundred times or something as you fail to stop us. We have more "inconveniencing" to do, and we don't need the extra encouragement."

That should probably be "why in name of all the kamis." Renko isn't a pleb christian, remember.
[X] Deny him
And you'd think power derived from an ancient sun goddess would do something to catboy but I guess not.

>Wife tells us to be careful
>FUCK THAT SHIT, IMMA GO PUNCH SOME NAZIES!

[X] Deny him.

We should probably quintuple the number of guards around Aimi, though.

-[X] On top of that, the LAST time Japan sided with Germany, we got nuked, firebombed, and nearly wiped off the face of the Earth. Fuck your offer, and fuck you with a cactus!"

Inter-agency cooperation has also been proceeding smoothly,

SOD broken.

Actually, random question: In Japanese lore, is there anything that COULD stop Schroedinger? Given that he was created as the perfect weapon against Alucard let alone his pesky given abilities, unless we do the fanon thing and have Seras drain him, is there anything we could do to stop him?

Even if we DID set up extra guards, if he can just pop in and out at will, we're kind of at a loss to stop him.

Not that I would trust him that the sky is blue, let alone that he would leave us alone.

[X] "Isn't that interesting? You are afraid little cat. What is it you fear? Death? No, obviously not. Oblivion? Perhaps. But... No. You afraid of failure. They would not have created you without reason. You have a duty. An important one. One that you cannot compete yet. And the Fey will keep you from it. Thank you little cat, for warning us against your master's hidden card. Now run away and know that you have already failed with your cowardice."
