Come for the Raifus, Stay for the Plot: Girls' Frontline - Baking Time

So what's the best use of 4 and 5* duplicates? Keep them for use in additional teams or burn them for dummy links? I have four SAAs and three Thompsons now from trying to make 3* HGs for the cores.

For 4 and 5* dupes? Keep for linking, because of the scaling cost

Always use 4* and 5* for dummy links.

Always.

Keep your 4* and 5* for dummy links. Here's why:

At x4, the cost to dummy link for 4* is 18 cores, and cost for 5* is 30 cores.

At x5, cost is 27 cores for 4*, and 45 cores for 5*.

This is a problem if you run a 5* squad, which is why you're actually recommended to run a solid stable of 3*s at first. Thank got M2HB on;y needs 9 cores at X5.

for some reason when i try to start the game up it keeps doing the "loading" thing for ten minutes before going back to the "game start" menu where it will loop again and again.

...help.

Email announcing the game's opening have also just gone out, so it might be they're getting swamped a wee bit.

I was under the impression that armored units can't dodge, but I can't beat Midnight 1-4 because there's a single armored unit that apparently can. I'm not sure what to do because you can't equip night vision goggles on the RFs and MGs that are your main source of damage against armored enemies.

From what I hear, grenade skills ignore evasion, so bring T-Dolls that have grenade abilities.

In my experience grenades don't do nearly enough damage. The spidertank seems to have thousands of hp and would chew through your team long before they could grenade it to death. Also it has armor, so you need to find an RF or MG with grenade skills which I'm not sure even exist? The griffon support echelon the game makes available can take it down though, with the only trouble being making sure it reaches it in the five turns you have.

Grenades/firebombs/molotovs are to be used on swarms of Dinergates (doggos) and the floating scout ones. Against big spider-bots on night battles you kinda have to use AP RF-MG-HG fireteams. *3 HG C96 has a Flare skill which might help.

Tried RF with nuke skill not damage up? I don't think that's affected by evasion but havent tested

I have one of those but I think my team may simply have been too weak, as they were in their low 30's at the highest and none of my RFs are at x3 due to lack of cores. I'm going to try to get into the 40's on levels, grind fodder for enhancements, and get a second team with AP ammo going since one is clearly not enough with the five battles between restocking limit. Relying on the support echelon worked for midnight 1-4 but I clearly need higher levels/stats if I'm going to complete 2-4 to unlock equipment calibration.

You need everybody being at least level 40 and x3.

I always say that M2HB could do it, but then I also need to admit that M2HB is also something like level 66, x3, skill level 6, and using Yellow Mk211 HEIAP ammo and a green Aimpoint for that sweet high pen and +8 Accuraccy. The yellow 5* ITL MARS sight does like +15 Accuraccy, which does a lot to make M2HB more viable.

I mean, the article summarising the DEEPEST LORE has an image discussing the difference "Waitress civilian model robot. Military model. Retired military model, now with 1 year waitress experience (exactly the same as image 1, but pissed off). We apparently use Gen 2 models in game which are a bit more advanced than "civvy model with a gun"

And given how it is somewhat post - post-post apoc a setting, the robots are a bit of everything really in what they do.

It's got a bit more depth to it that waifu gacha...

Although in-universe, the T-dolls are literally civilian waifu bots being given guns :V

if Sanguis Ferri are using Humvees, we're using Toyota Hiluxes :VVVV

What's the lore behind that? What did they do as civilian bots?

I'm pretty sure that isn't actually the case.

Digging into the wiki, initial development focused on creating autonomous and largely self-sustaining workforce (which makes sense in light of double-apocalypse due to North Island Incident and WW3), until Pan-European Military Union put forth a request for an autonomous robot to control their tanks. The "T-Doll" largely grew out of that project.

Actual military T-Dolls do not resemble our models at all; they are pure killing machines with zero emotive capability, largely because they forgo cute waifu personalities in favor hardened shells and maximum killing power, which is why in one-on-one combat, your average G&K T-doll is hosed against KCCO one.

G&K uses converted models largely because Kryuger made it a business niche; They make better peacekeeping forces and bodyguards, and converting a Doll into weapon is still cheaper than finding a willing volunteer soldiers in AD20XX. It's kind of the-other-way-around solution: T-Dolls were military tools, then were adapted to civilian market, then G&K reconverted civilian models back into military ones. It's also probably why retired T-Dolls can just switch to civilian sector; they can still do other jobs.

A KCCO (and to lesser extent, most SF) T-Dolls only know how to kill people.

What do you think they did?

As many functions there might be in diminished society, I will admit this would be probably the primary reason why anyone would buy T-Doll companion. Skeevy but true.

Especially since something like 70% of the population are dead anyway.

...makes me wonder if there are really buff, Schwarzenegger-style male T-Dolls out there as well. Helian would certainly want one.

Otoh, apparently it was our science cake who made the link system which is why we have G2 t-dolls at all and also is why they have differentiated appearances, so I'd presume ours are more than just basic civvy models, even if the military proper has far nastier ones.

Also with absolute perfect timing, this showed up in the story about this exact time
